Im April 2014 besuchte ich zum zweitenmal die Volksrepublik Korea (Individualtourist - KEINE der zeitnahen Gruppenreisen!) und schaute erneut in das tiefstgelegende U-Bahnsystem der Welt. Es ist immerwieder beeindruckend und jenseits der Gerüchte handelt es sich dabei tatsächlich um einen funktionierenden Massenverkehr. Zu sehen sind 2/3 der Chollima-Linie und unterschiedliche Stationsszenen...anbei die Züge des Typs "Dora" aus Berlin.

North Korea Part One 25.07.-01.08.2013: Pyongyang, Metro and Victory Day celebrations

Part one of the North Korea tour. Pyongyang and the victory day celebrations. City scenes partly taken from bus. Note bowing to the statues of the great leader and the dear leader. Pyongyang metro; according to North Korean statistics the deepest underground in the world. I have included the escalator ride into the guts of the metro. As can be see this takes a long time. Note the murals and the chandeliers. The scenes with interference were filmed off the hotel TV to show what sort of stuff the North Koreans have to watch on TV. There was no choice of programs. The marching scenes of the victory day celebrations were filmed off TV in a shop as tourists were not allowed to attend the actual parades. Note the fabulous goose stepping of male and female soldiers. One can only hope that they are so busy practising their marching that they don't have too much time to learn how to shoot properly. Daytime fireworks display was filmed mainly because of sound effects, the fireworks were not really visible. Filming of fly-bys and war-machinery took place when the actual parade was finished and vehicles were leaving the parade ground.
