MORE VIDEOS: http://reblop.com/raw-footage-baltimore-riots-looting-protesters-over-freddy-gray-death-erupts-in-chaos/ Several thousand protesters have converged in the US city of Baltimore to protest over the death of 25-year-old black man Freddie Gray while in police custody. Gray died on Sunday after sustaining multiple injuries which included three fractures in his neck vertebrae, a smashed voicebox and the severing of 80 per cent of his spine from his neck. Gray had been in police custody for a week, having been arrested in a high-crime neighbourhood after he made eye contact with police and fled. After he was caught he was found to be carrying a knife. Melissa Ealey, Gray’s cousin, told Al Jazeera that no crime perpetrated could warrant such abuse. “There is no reason the police had to conduct themselves in a manner to where…it cost him his life," Ealey said. "I can understand breaking the law is wrong but the way they apprehended him and the things they did were completely against protocol and just inhumane as a whole." 'National epidemic' of violence Signs in hand, with slogans such as "Jail Killer Police" and "Unite Here," demonstrators from different racial backgrounds flooded two city blocks and marched to city hall, where the crowd overtook a plaza. March organiser and lawyer Malik Shabazz described violence against by American police officers as "a national epidemic against black men". Al Jazeera's Shihab Rattansi, who was reporting from Baltimore's city hall, said the marchers had converged on the city centre and were now headed towards Baltimore's Oriole Park Major League Baseball stadium at Camden Yards where Baltimore's Orioles were later set to take on the Boston Red Sox. Rattansi said police had attended the protest but were keeping a safe distance, as the protesters called for sweeping national policy changes on how cases of police brutality should be dealt with. Their demands included the establishment of an independent civilian review board in every city to review the cases, immediate suspension without pay for police officers accused of violence and protection for whistleblowers so they could freely speak about police brutality without retaliation. "Speaker after speakers keep saying here, when a genocide is happening against you, why would you ask the people committing it what is going on," our reporter said. Stafford Sutton, an activist who attended the march, said changes to federal policies were required to defuse anger after a spate of recent cases of police brutality. "I've seen a lot of individuals who have been done wrong. A federal mandate needs to be brought down. We have to go through the process, we have to follow it through and go to Washington," Sutton said. Demonstrators have flooded the streets of Baltimore almost every day since Gray's death, although Saturday's rally was the largest. Gray's death has been compared to those of other unarmed black men who died at the hands of police in New York City and Ferguson, Missouri, and has intensified a national debate over police treatment of African-Americans. The US Department of Justice is conducting a separate probe into Gray's death. A wake for Gray is scheduled for Sunday, with his funeral to be held on Monday.

Nigeria Boko Haram At least 70 bodies found in mass grave For more Latest Tech News and Product reviews SUBSCRIBE to https://www.youtube.com/user/ABCNewsChannel0 A mass grave containing at least 70 bodies has been found in a Nigerian town recently retaken from Boko Haram, soldiers from Niger and Chad say. They say they found it in Damasak, a town in north-eastern Nigeria they entered on Saturday, ending months of control by the militant Islamists. Earlier, Nigeria's President Goodluck Jonathan predicted Boko Haram would lose all territory within a month. "They are getting weaker and weaker by the day," he told the BBC on Friday. Damasak is a trading town in Borno state near Niger's border and is about 200km (125 miles) from state's main city of Maiduguri. It was overrun by the militants, who began their insurgency in 2009 to create an Islamic state, at the end of last year. The victims found in the mass grave in Damasak, many with their throats slits and some decapitated, may have been killed some time ago, reports suggest. Chadian army Col Azem Bermandoa Agouna told the AFP news agency that he had visited the grave and seen "about 100 bodies spread under a bridge just outside the town". Together with the Nigerian army, forces from Chad, Niger and Cameroon are involved in an offensive against the Islamist insurgents who began taking over territory about a year ago - after being pushed out of their base in Maiduguri. Nigeria is preparing to hold presidential elections on 28 March after security concerns led to a postponement of the original date in mid-February. 'Under-rated external influence' President Jonathan's government has been heavily criticised for its failure to end the six-year insurgency in the north-east. He admitted that it the government has been surprised by the group's progress. www.undergroundworldnews.com Gov. Larry Hogan signed an executive order Monday declaring a state of emergency and activating the National Guard. And, Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake has issued a citywide curfew to start Tuesday night. Speaking Monday evening, the mayor issued a curfew to start at 10 p.m. and last until 5 a.m. on school nights. The curfew starts at 9 p.m. for those 14 and under. Police officers were injured, stores were looted and fires were set Monday evening as vandals ran through Baltimore. City police say as many as 15 officers have been injured Monday afternoon in northwest Baltimore, where a large group of juveniles converged and began to throw bricks and other items at officers. The officers were injured with broken bones and cuts, and one was unresponsive. The CVS store at North and Pennsylvania avenues was set on fire around 6:15 p.m. Police have asked motorists to avoid the area of North Avenue between Monroe Street and Druid Hill Avenue. SkyTeam 11 video showed the same CVS was being looted around 4:45 p.m. "As the night goes on, you're going to see us using tear gas and other crowd control techniques so that we can have this end peacefully without any more injuries to our officers or any of the people that are in that community," Kowalczyk said. Gov. Larry Hogan's office released a statement Monday evening, saying: "Today’s looting and acts of violence in Baltimore will not be tolerated. In response, I have put the Maryland National Guard on alert so they can be in position to deploy rapidly as needed. I strongly condemn the actions of the offenders who are engaged in direct attacks against innocent civilians, businesses and law enforcement officers. There is a significant difference between protesting and violence and those committing these acts will be prosecuted under the fullest extent of the law. www.undergroundworldnews.com http://www.wbaltv.com/news/downtown-businesses-organizations-close-early-monday/32595778

Exclusive investigation: The 239 people on board Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 may still be alive. This stunning realization is now supported by considerable emerging evidence detailed in this article. At the same time, the "vanished" Boeing 777 may also be in a hanger in Iran right now, being retrofitted with nuclear weapons and turned into a suicide bomb to be deployed over a major city in the Middle East. This possibility is discussed in detail, below, with supporting evidence. Image: Malaysia Airlines (YouTube). The idea that Flight 370 passengers and crew may still be alive is not a bizarre theory. Even Reuters is now reporting that U.S. authorities have stated, "...it's also possible the plane may have landed somewhere." Here's the evidence in support of this emerging "piracy" theory of what may have happened to Flight 370 and why the people who may have diverted it might also be planning on turning it into a weapon: Five critical pieces of astonishing supporting evidence that Flight 370 passengers may still be alive Please understand that I do not wish to create false hope for all those families who have greatly suffered through this ordeal. My heart goes out to them, and we can only hope these 239 passengers and crew are, indeed, being kept alive somewhere to be used as a bargaining chip for ransom or political purposes. Here's the substantial evidence in support of this theory: Addressing the threat posed by plans by the United States to install a missile defense system in Europe, Russia's Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin today asserted that Russia would respond with nuclear weapons if it was targeted by conventional American missiles. Image: Deputy PM Dmitry Rogozin (Wikimedia Commons). Rogozin's comments arrive just a day after President Vladimir Putin called on Russia to upgrade its weapons systems in order to repel U.S. plans to institute the EPAA missile shield in Europe, which is ostensibly designed to counter Iran's nuclear build-up yet is also firmly pointed at Russia. Asserting that Russia was "preparing a response" to the U.S. missile defense system, Rogozin warned, "They may experiment with conventional weapons on strategic delivery platforms, but they must bear in mind, that if we are attacked, in certain circumstances we will of course respond with nuclear weapons." During a press conference in the Netherlands today, Obama said he is more worried about Manhattan getting nuked than any supposed threat posed by Russia. The president made the remark after a reporter asked him if former challenger Mitt Romney was correct in his assertion that Russia is once again the primary foe of the United States following Crimeans voting to rejoin Russia. u.s. North Korea has threatened to nuke the United States on several occasions. Last April, the Defense Intelligence Agency concluded with "moderate confidence" North Korea California is approximately 3,000 miles from Manhattan. In order to nuke New York, the North Koreans would require a missile capable of traveling around 9,000 miles. For More Latest News Subscribe us: At least two people have been shot dead in violent clashes in Burundi, a day after President Pierre Nkurunziza controversially launched his bid for a third term in office. Thousands defied a ban on demonstrations to take to the streets of the capital Bujumbura. Police shot live ammunition in the air to disperse them. President Nkurunziza was nominated to run by his governing CNDD-FDD party, a move opponents say is unconstitutional. They warn it threatens a peace deal that ended the country's 12-year civil war in 2005, which killed more than 300,000 people. Angry protesters on Sunday threw rocks and lit tyres. Police responded with tear gas, water cannon and live ammunition, blocking access to the centre of the capital.

Twenty eight people were rescued in the incident, which happened in an area just off Libyan waters, south of the southern Italian island of Lampedusa, the official said, adding that a number of Italian coast guard and naval vessels were being sent in rescue operations. If confirmed, the disaster would be one of the worst seen during the decades-long migrant crisis in the southern Mediterranean and would bring the total number of dead since the beginning of the year to more than 1,500. "At the moment, we fear that this is a tragedy of really vast proportions," Carlotta Sami, a spokeswoman for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, told SkyTG24 television. No comment was immediately available from the Italian coast guard or navy. The boat is believed to have capsized when migrants moved to one side of the overcrowded vessel when a merchant ship approached.

Several thousand protesters have converged in the US city of Baltimore to protest over the death of 25-year-old black man Freddie Gray while in police custody.
“There is no reason the police had to conduct themselves in a manner to where…it cost him his life,\

At least two people have been shot dead in violent clashes in Burundi, a day after President Pierre Nkurunziza controversially launched his bid for a third term in office.

Thousands defied a ban on demonstrations to take to the streets of the capital Bujumbura.

Police shot live ammunition in the air to disperse them.

President Nkurunziza was nominated to run by his governing CNDD-FDD party, a move opponents say is unconstitutional.

They warn it threatens a peace deal that ended the country\'s 12-year civil war in 2005, which killed more than 300,000 people.

Angry protesters on Sunday threw rocks and lit tyres. Police responded with tear gas, water cannon and live ammunition, blocking access to the centre of the capital.

Up to 700 Feared Dead After Migrant Boat Sinks Off Libya
As many as 700 people are feared dead after a boat carrying migrants capsized off the Libyan coast overnight, a United Nations official said on Sunday.
