We make the complicated easier to understand
The Swedish company Sensavis creates the classroom of the future in close collaboration with school leaders and educators. We call it The 3D Classroom where we, through the use of interactive 3D, can convey a subject matter that is easier for the students to understand.
A world of possibilities
The 3D Classroom is an education tool which contains several subject modules. All are interactive and allow exploration of subjects from macro- to micro- level in a realistic virtual environment. It is possible to visualize the content in stereoscopic 3D or in so called flat 3D.
Imagine the classroom as a portal to other worlds with new rooms that have not previously been accessible. With the help of interactive 3D visualization, this becomes possible. The teacher freely directs what and how something is to be displayed, without being restricted and controlled by text and sound. With knowledge about the student body, the educator can get the most out of the tool due to the fact that it is the educator's words that, together with the visualized, strengthen the understanding.
See how a kidney works or experience what the inside of a human heart looks like while it is beating, or why not venture into space and observe the planets in our solar system and get a feeling for the enormous distance and size ratios which prevail. Besides the ability to freely control what is to be visualized, the tool is characterized by a high degree of realism and detail.
Motivation is success
Researchers all agree that student motivation is a vital key to improve learning. Motivation is developed by a large number of properties which together give amazing results, such as desire, curiosity, patience and engagement. It is with this background and purpose that we created the 3D classroom.
Leading expertise
The content has been developed in collaboration with educators and leading experts within each subject. These collaborations are a guarantee that the content is of the highest quality, leaving nothing to chance.
Easy to handle and many choices
Today there are subject modules for biology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, and geography. Within for example biology, one can visualize a large part of the human body, experience photosynthesis, see how life develops through fertility and venture into the cell to study what more there is to discover besides the cell nucleus. In cooperation with the educators using the tool, we develop new content. This is to constantly focus on what they perceive as being complicated for the students to understand.
It is easy getting started and takes a short time to learn how to use.
