8GB steel digital audio voice recorder review, instructions and sound test

A review and full instruction guide to the popular 8GB steel audio digital voice recorder. I'll show you how to use this great little bit of kit as the instruction manual is written in very strangely translated English. Voice samples start at 18:37. Every mode is tested and explained with samples of the various audio quality modes ranging from 32kbps to 384kbps. I found out that the passcode system just stops people using the deivce if it's stolen. They could still access your files through a PC. Fault - The major fault i found with this is that it loses time as it records. When i made a 5 minute video, it recorded only 4 minutes and 56 seconds of audio. It loses half a second or so here and there so it's impossible to match the sound from this with the video you have shot. It starts off in sync but then after a minute or so the sound on this device skips and so your mouth on the video is moving at a different time to the audio! On another occasion it totally failed and didn't record an entire 30 minute speech i did! Grrr!! All that wasted time, well luckily i could use the sound off the camera so not wasted but very frustrating. I still use mine as an MP3 player and a storage drive so it's not a waste of money but i have had to buy a more expensive voice recorder which works fine and has no such problems. I'll review that in the future if there's enough interest in this video.
