He is best known as the guitarist of the Stax Records house band, Booker T. & the M.G.'s, and has backed artists such as Otis Redding, Sam & Dave, Carla, Rufus Thomas and Johnnie Taylor, also acting as producer on many of these records. He later gained fame as a member of the Blues Brothers band.Rolling Stone lists him 36th on their list of the 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time.Mojo ranks Cropper as the second-best guitarist ever.
When he was nine years old, Cropper moved with his family to Memphis, Tennessee. At the age of ten, he strummed his brother-in-law's Gibson guitar for the first time[citation needed]. Cropper received his first guitar by mail order at 14 and started playing with local musicians. His guitar heroes at the time included Lowman Pauling of the "5" Royales, as well as Chet Atkins, Chuck Berry, Tal Farlow, Jimmy Reed, and the guitarist of the Bill Doggett band, Billy Butler.
Barry Sadler (November 1, 1940 – November 5, 1989) was an American soldier, author and musician. Sadler served as a Green Beret medic with the rank of Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Most of his work has a military theme, and he billed himself as SSG Barry Sadler (although his label credits read SSgt Barry Sadler).
Sadler was born in Carlsbad, New Mexico, the second son of John Sadler and Bebe Littlefield of Phoenix, Arizona. His parents were both professional gamblers, and the family moved often. His parents divorced when Sadler was very young, and his father died not long after of a rare form of nervous system cancer at the age 36. His mother took her sons with her as she worked at temporary jobs in Arizona, California, Colorado, New Mexico, and Texas. According to Sadler's autobiography, "I'm a Lucky One," his father developed a successful plumbing and electrical business in Carlsbad, NM. He also owned several farms in the area. He describes his mother as managing restaurants and bars, and at times games in casinos.

Yeah. oh oh yeah yeah

She was lookin good behind the wheel of a black mercedes benz
And I must stand if this swag had fit her
Cause in my view this little shorty was a ten

Could'ntkeep my eyes on the rode cause my eyes were fixed up on this queen
She turned my way and our eyes met
For the first time in my life I wanted it to stay red
Trapped down the block or two

Looks like it's time to show some affection
Cause I'm like damn

Yeah
Oh will you take me deeper into the wild?
There to awake the sleeper we left as a child
Dark as the silent waters, dark as the deep
Lost in the primal matter
Older than memory
Touched with the knowing
Something like holy
Waiting to to surface and breathe….
Oh will you take me higher into the light?
Call up the shining instant you first felt alive
There in the flash of wonder, there it begins
Air full of crashing thunder
Shocked with the knowing
Naked and trembling
Twist through the helix
Spin to the surface and breathe!
I hear the voice of the Dreaming
I feel the pulse of the stone
And all shining and alive through the Green
I touch the oceans of memory
I taste the core of the sun
And all shining and alive through the Green
Feel in the teeming heartbeat of all living things
Even through steel and concrete the energy sings
Strong as the roaring daylight caught in the leaves
Long as the endless twilight
Brighter than Broadway
Sparked by the living
Something like holy
Breaking the surface to breathe….
I hear the voice of the Dreaming
I feel the pulse of the stone
And all shining and alive through the Green
I touch the oceans of memory
I taste the core of the sun
Take a look at the pouring rain,
Last time it rained for forty days
Take a look at the sun that shines
Painting colors of ribbons in the sky
Take a look out your window
And take a look at how the green grass grows
I can feel it on the inside
I give thanks and praise to be alive
Together we can make some memories
And help love grow and live eternally
And spread this word over both land and sea
And help each other on this long hard jouney
Ever since I was a young little boi
All I needed was my families and toys
And learning how to count from one to ten
I said my ABC's and do it all again
And I learned how to walk,
And I learned how to talk.
And I learned that love is what life costs
And it still amazes me when I look down at a keiki
And see all the things they learn from you and me
2x
Together we can make some memories
And help love grow and live eternally
And spread this word over both land and sea
And help each other on this long hard jouney
...
2x
Show me the way, Teach me the part
Help me find a way back to your mind and your heart
Keep me alive and Ill keep you well
Share a little water from your bucket to my well.
2x

And help love grow and live eternally
And spread this word over both land and sea
And help each other on this long hard jouney
show me the way teach me the part
help me find a way back to your mind and your heart
