Jackson is the capital and the most populous city of the US state of Mississippi. It is one of two county seats of Hinds County (the town of Raymond is the other),. The population of the city declined from 184,256 at the 2000 census to 173,514 at the 2010 census. The 2010 census ascribed a population of 539,005 to the five-county Jackson metropolitan area.
The current slogan for the city is Jackson, Mississippi: City with Soul. Jackson is ranked 3rd out of America's 100 largest metro areas for the best "Bang For Your Buck" city according to Forbes magazine. The study measured overall affordability, housing rates, and more. The city is named after Andrew Jackson, who was still a general at the time of the naming but later became president. The city is the anchor of the Metro area.
USS Jackson (LCS-6) will be the first ship of the United States Navy to be named in honor of the city.
The region which is now the city of Jackson was historically part of the large territory occupied by the Choctaw Nation, the last of the indigenous peoples who had inhabited the area for thousands of years. The area now called Jackson was obtained by the United States under the terms of the Treaty of Doak's Stand in 1820, by which the Choctaw ceded some of their land. After the treaty was ratified, European-American settlers began to move into the area, so many that they encroached on remaining Choctaw land.
This is one house warming gift that comes as a surprise.

Plot
Veteran logger Steve Blake helps city-bred Jed Malone obtain a job with the logging crew of Boss Whittaker. Jed falls in love with June Martin, the pretty dishwasher at the boardinghouse ran by Mother Manning. Steve is also in love with her, but pretends not to notice. Steve and Jed, employed on the same cutting machine, become good friends and Jed saves Steve from injury one day when the defective machine fails. Jed asks June to marry him and she agrees. Before the wedding, the saw fails again and Jed is killed. Steve hammers the machine to bits in a rage and, after breaking the news to June, flays Whittaker for not replacing the defective saw. To cover up his own negligence, Whittaker accuses Steve of killing Jed out of jealousy and then smashing the saw in an effort to cover up the crime. Steve is jailed for murder. June testifies on his behalf and the conscientious Judge Hanley aids in freeing Steve. The townspeople and loggers still believe him guilty and make him feel like an outcast. A forest fire breaks out and Whittaker, leading a party of loggers into the woods to fight it, manages to get his men and himself trapped by the blaze. Steve, who knows the woods well, refuses to rescue the men, until persuaded to do so by June.

All the way to Jackson

All the way to Jackson
I don't think I'll miss you much
Once I get to Lafayette
I'm not gonna mind one bit
Once I get to Lafayette
I'm not gonna mind one little bit
Once I get to Baton Rouge
I won't cry a tear for you
Once I get to Baton Rouge
I won't cry a tear for you
All the way to Jackson
I don't think I'll miss you much
All the way to Jackson
I don't think I'll miss you much
Once I get to Vicksburg
I don't think I'll feel the urge
Once I get to Vicksburg
I won't even feel an urge
All the way to Jackson
I don't think I'll miss you much
All the way to Jackson
Sixty-five down the Birmingham
The sunset sings like a hymn
Signs say "God Bless America"
As the stars all begin
In my headlights she's heavenly
And not now I'm undone
In Jackson (x2)
She is waiting there patiently
Street lights light up her face
And her smile is a symphony
That no chamber could play
And I greet her with my best kiss
But now I'm outdone
In Jackson (x2)
Now I can't be alone
And I can't let her stay
So I making a home, so far away
We got married in a fever
Hotter than a pepper sprout
We've been talkin' 'bout Jackson
Ever since the fire went out
I'm goin' to Jackson
I'm gonna mess around
Yeah, I'm goin' to Jackson
Look out Jackson town
Well, go on down to Jackson
Go ahead and wreck your health
Go play your hand, you big-talkin' man
Make a big fool of yourself
Yeah, go to Jackson
Go, comb your hair
Honey, I'm gonna snowball Jackson
See if I care
When I breeze into that city
People gonna stoop and bow
All them women gonna make me
Teach 'em what they don't know how
I'm goin' to Jackson
You turn-a loose-a my coat
'Cause I'm goin' to Jackson
"Goodbye", that's all she wrote
But they'll laugh at you in Jackson
And I'll be dancin' on a Pony Keg
They'll lead you 'round town like a scalded hound
With your tail tucked between your legs
Yeah, go to Jackson
You big talkin' man
And I'll be waitin' in Jackson
Behind my Jaypan Fan
Well now, we got married in a fever
Hotter than a pepper Sprout
We've been talkin' 'bout Jackson
Ever since the fire went
I'm goin' to Jackson
And that's a fact
Yeah, we're goin' to Jackson
Ain't never comin' back
Well, we got married in a fever
Hotter than a pepper sprout
And we've been talkin' 'bout Jackson
(Verse)
We slide through the bright of the day
Say a lie and I will slip away to where you lay
And me oh my, I can please you right
'Cause I wanna show you something
Lovely and strange
(Chorus)
And I’ll make you love me,
Don’t you know
Oh Jackson I’m waiting for you
Oh Jackson please come back I’m true
(Verse)
We might go a little too far
As a lover breathing slow and late
Burning in time
And me oh my leave me to my ways
I divine another silver lane
Look what we’ve made
(Chorus)
And I’ll make you love me,
Don’t you know
Oh Jackson I’m waiting for you
Oh Jackson please come back I’m true
(Bridge)
Go faster, go faster you knew
I'm waiting, I'm waiting for you
(Chorus)
And I’ll make you love me,
Don’t you know
Oh Jackson I’m waiting for you
We got married in a fever, hotter than a pepper sprout,
We've been talkin' 'bout Jackson, ever since the fire went out.
I'm goin' to Jackson, I'm gonna mess around,
Yeah, I'm goin' to Jackson,

And all that you're showing me
Is so beyond belief
I'm living a dream
Baby, take it to another level tonight
Express our lovin' in the music
Baby don't you realize that this is the time
That I am yours and you will be all mine
[Chorus]
Oh I wanna tell you all I wanna do do is
(Uh uh)
huh huh all the day through and
(Uh uh)
Slo slo loving undercover
Take it up, nice and slow
Oh I wanna tell you all I wanna do do is

Slow slow loving undercover
Take it up, nice and slow
[Verse 2]

Don't wanna get it out of my head

When our bodies meet
Baby, take it to another level tonight
So excited I'm beyond control
