Here are the Top 10 things to see in Chengdu, China! Chengdu, China is a mega city in western China. Aka the Panda city. Thanks for Watching! All feedback is...
For all the HD Video Chapters of Paul's great November 2014 HD Video Book, “SOLO AROUND WORLD IN 25 DAYS, SEPT 5 - SEPT 30, 2014”, See: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLdvu6MDwkDN9ev00xNPDOi8FEKYTcpyH6. "SOLOAROUNDWORLD" YOUTUBE CHANNEL ANALYTICS TO DATE: 3,985,284 + MILLION HITS AT 280,000+ A MONTH ! 4,853,195 + MILLION MINUTES WATCHED ! 4,440 + THOUSAND SUBSCRIBERS ! "SOLOAROUNDWORLD" CHANNEL: https://www.youtube.com/user/generationspolicy Chapter 108 is one of 130 Chapters of Paul Hodge's incredible "ground breaking" November, 2014 High Definition (HD) Video Book, "2014 SOLO AROUND WORLD IN 25 DAYS, SEPT 5 - SEPT 30, 2014”. After flying all night from London and being awake for 20+ hours, Paul’s HD video chronicles his September 23, 2014 Tuesday morning arrival at Chengdu, China’s Shuangliu International Airport and his taxi ride from the airport to his hotel in Chengdu’s city center. Paul’s taxi ride covered about 10 miles, took about 30 minutes and cost about $ 15.00. Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport is the major international airport serving Chengdu. It is about 10 miles southwest of Chengdu city center and is the busiest airport in western China. The airport is ranked as one of the world's top 50 busiest airports in terms of passenger traffic, handling 35,000.000+ in 2013. It is the 5th busiest airport in China in terms of passenger traffic and cargo. To many Westerners, a lot of China’s incredibly large cities are a mystery. Because of this, Paul chose to adventure to southwestern China and explore the giant, mysterious cities of Chengdu and Chongqing. Chengdu is the provincial capital of Sichuan Province, is the third fastest growing economy in China and is China’s fourth most populace city. The City has a 14,000,000+ population of which 7,100,000+ live in the city's nine urban districts and 6,700,000+ live in the surrounding suburbs/rural areas. Chengdu is the economic, transportation and communications powerhouse in Western China. Many Fortune 500 companies have set up operations in the Chengdu area. While companies like Cisco, Intel and Toyota have established manufacturing operations, the City has also attracted a lot of other companies such as Microsoft, IBM, Siemans, Lenovo and many others. Chengdu is home to the internationally recognized Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding. The giant panda is a Chinese national treasure and is one of the rarest animals in the world. The total number of giant pandas is estimated to be about 1,500, 80 percent of which live in Sichuan Province. The Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding is internationally recognized for its success in saving the Giant Panda species. Paul’s HD Video Book "2014 SOLO AROUND WORLD IN 25 DAYS, SEPT 5 - SEPT 30, 2014” is a “first” on YouTube because: 1) Paul utilizes a highbred documentary filmmaking Cinéma Vérité style to document the extreme physical and logistical challenges in exploring solo around the world, 2) Paul’s HD video series is the “first ever” published on YouTube to include 130 detailed HD video chapters and 12+ hours of edited, original HD film taken by Paul Hodge from all over the world and 3) Paul's HD video book is Paul's fifth video book published on YouTube. By providing viewers with such incredibly detailed HD videos and fresh commentaries, author Paul Hodge shows what it realistically takes to plan and successfully execute the life changing "bucket list" achievement of adventuring solo around our wonderful Planet Earth. Paul is one of the few people in this World to have explored and adventured around our planet five times in the last six years!! In addition to his September, 2014 SoloAroundWorld adventure, Paul’s fourth 24 day solo around the world adventure was in November, 2013 (See Trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tBGJnS9-fLg), his third 47 day solo around the world quest was in June, 2012 (See Trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RR6iXID_Asc ). His second 24 day solo quest ended November, 2011 (See Trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch v=irJ4Wn13SZo ) and his first world exploration was for 7+ months ending July 2008 (See Trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fjo8niCfHmE) Paul’s Hodge’s sixth SoloAroundWorld adventure will start October, 2015 and will follow Paul’s February 2015 coverage of Rio Carnival 2015. Paul's HD video book, “2014 SOLO AROUND WORLD IN 25 DAYS, SEPT 5 - SEPT 30, 2014” is intended to encourage you, the viewer, to “seize the day" and venture out into our fantastic World to achieve your "bucket list" adventures and dreams.

Another very large city in China is Chengdu. By David Goorney.
Chengdu's food is definitely unique. Always spicy and numbing and sometimes cleaner than others. Enjoy a classic Szechuan meal here! Please like my facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/TheFoodRanger This food at this location was very unique and eating here felt like eating in old China. I personally found the food here to be so-so, not too special, but not too repulsive (except for the intestine, it was really horrible, actually tasted like crap!). I'm more of a fan of the noodles, hotpot, and 小吃 “small snacks" here in Chengdu, but loved trying everything!

Chengdu (Chinese: 成都; Sichuanese: Cen2du1; pinyin: Chéngdū), formerly transliterated Chengtu, is the capital of Sichuan province in Southwest China. It holds sub-provincial administrative status. The urban area houses 14,047,625 inhabitants: 7,123,697 within the municipality's nine districts and 6,730,749 in the surrounding region.
Chengdu is one of the most important economic, transportation, and communication centers in Western China. According to the 2007 Public Appraisal for Best Chinese Cities for Investment, Chengdu was chosen as one of the top ten cities to invest in out of a total of 280 urban centers in China. It was recently named China's 4th-most livable city by China Daily.
The fertile Chengdu Plain, on which Chengdu is located, is also known as the "Country of Heaven" (天府之国, Tiānfǔzhiguó), a phrase also often translated as "The Land of Abundance". The discovery of the Jinsha site suggests the area of Chengdu had become the center of the bronze age Sanxingdui culture around the time of the establishment of the state of Shu, prior to its annexation by Qin in 316 BC.
Hong Kong, Tokyo and Singapore
New York, Boston and Baltimore
They'll take you right down where you don't want to go
If you talk too fast and you walk too slow
Shanghaid, Shanghaid
Been locked up and Shanghaid
Shanghaid, Shanghaid
Been locked up and Shanghaid
I tried to live by the golden rule
Do unto others and they'll do unto you
Every time I get turned on I end up singing the same song
Shanghaid, Shanghaid
Been locked up and Shanghaid
Shanghaid, Shanghaid
Been locked up and Shanghaid
I was crossing the desert on a sunny day
I met two women that passed my way
They took me to a tent and they locked the door And all they
ever said was "More, more"
Shanghaid, Shanghaid
Been locked up and Shanghaid
Shanghaid, Shanghaid
Been locked up and Shanghaid
And I'm standing right here with my usual slack
Police got me for talking back
"You're out on the street, you'd better watch your step
If you talk too loud, now button your lip"
Shanghaid, Shanghaid
Been locked up and Shanghaid
Shanghaid, Shanghaid
Been locked up and Shanghaid
Sitting in a bar in West Berlin
Sipping on a glass that's low again
Talking to a woman I thought I knew
The lights went out and I did too
Shanghaid, Shanghaid
Been locked up and Shanghaid
Shanghaid, Shanghaid
Money in the bank ain't worth what it was since the bullion sank in a pool of sharks,
Shanghaied, shanghaied,
And I don't wanna wait for the banks to break,
And the waved to close on our perfect place,
Shanghaied, shanghaied
But I don't see your face anymore
Throw your knuckles down to the floor
Why do you have to lay awake?
Why do you pray?
'Cos there is passion going to waste
And you'd let loving die in your haste
Why do you have to lay awake?
Why do you pray?
To be on your own, to be on your own,
You took a knife to my life but as long as you say your sorry,
You took the sand from my hand but as long as you say you care,
But I don't see your face anymore
Throw your knuckles down to the floor
Why do you have to lay awake?
Why do you pray?
'Cos there is passion going to waste
And you'd let loving die in your haste
Why do you have to lay awake?
Why do you pray?
Changed
I feel changed
all unwound changed
Now.
Strange
voices strange
Hear the sound strange
Now.
Feel the ground shake
Feel the ground shake
Feel the ground shake
