Hank Jones
Henry "Hank" Jones Jr. (July 31, 1918 – May 16, 2010) was an American jazz pianist, bandleader, arranger, and composer. Critics and musicians described Jones as eloquent, lyrical, and impeccable. In 1989, The National Endowment for the Arts honored him with the NEA Jazz Masters Award. He was also honored in 2003 with the American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers (ASCAP) Jazz Living Legend Award. In 2008, he was awarded the National Medal of Arts. On April 13, 2009, the University of Hartford presented Jones with a Doctorate Degree for his musical accomplishments.
Jones recorded more than 60 albums under his own name, and countless others as a sideman, including Cannonball Adderley's celebrated album Somethin' Else. On May 19, 1962, he played piano as actress Marilyn Monroe sang her famous "Happy Birthday, Mr. President" song to then U.S. president John F. Kennedy.
Biography
Born in Vicksburg, Mississippi, Henry "Hank" Jones moved to Pontiac, Michigan, where his father, Henry Jones Sr. a Baptist deacon and lumber inspector, bought a three-story brick home. One of seven children, Jones was raised in a musical family. His mother Olivia Jones sang; his two older sisters studied piano; and his two younger brothers—Thad, a trumpeter, and Elvin, a drummer—also became prominent jazz musicians. He studied piano at an early age and came under the influence of Earl Hines, Fats Waller, Teddy Wilson, and Art Tatum. By the age of 13 Jones was performing locally in Michigan and Ohio. While playing with territory bands in Grand Rapids and Lansing in 1944 he met Lucky Thompson, who invited Jones to work in New York City at the Onyx Club with Hot Lips Page.

John Walker Kills a Flag-Smasher with The Shield Scene [No BGM] | The Falcon and the Winter Soldier
John Walker, newly empowered after sneakily taking the last of the Super Soldier Serum, flying into a rage after Karli accidentally kills his partner Lemar Hoskins, aka Battlestar, with a single super-powered punch to the chest. Karli manages to slip into the crowd, but Walker runs down her fellow Flag-Smasher, Nico, on the street and publicly kills him with Cap's shield. As you'd expect, most of the crowd record this dark moment, and the image of the bloodied shield is broadcast to the world. The image of Walker slamming his shield into a fallen enemy goes back to Captain America: Civil War, in which Steve Rogers does the same to Iron Man to disable his armor. While I think the MCU started to go downhill at the start of phase 4, I was genuinely surprised by the character of John Walker (Captain America), especially considering the writing in the rest of Falcon and the Winter Soldier. As such, I believe that he is an excellent case of The Sympathetic Strawman

While I think the MCU started to go downhill at the start of phase 4, I was genuinely surprised by the character of John Walker (Captain America), especially considering the writing in the rest of Falcon and the Winter Soldier. As such, I believe that he is an excellent case of The Sympathetic Strawman
A strawman character is an individual in a story that is designed to hold a set of ideals and beliefs that contrast with what the main protagonist(s) and the story itself hold as the correct opinion. Strawman characters essentially serve to hold weak arguments so that the story and the other 'correct' characters can beat them down and deconstruct them with the 'correct' answer
Unfortunately, there comes times when the story and 'correct' characters come against the strawman character and, either because the writer hasn't fully explained why we are supposed to root for the main characters and their opinions, or because they write the strawman character too sympathetically and logically, it ends up making the audience root for the strawman. This is the sympathetic strawman

Henry "Hank" Jones Jr. (July 31, 1918 – May 16, 2010) was an American jazz pianist, bandleader, arranger, and composer. Critics and musicians described Jones as eloquent, lyrical, and impeccable. In 1989, The National Endowment for the Arts honored him with the NEA Jazz Masters Award. He was also honored in 2003 with the American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers (ASCAP) Jazz Living Legend Award. In 2008, he was awarded the National Medal of Arts. On April 13, 2009, the University of Hartford presented Jones with a Doctorate Degree for his musical accomplishments.
Jones recorded more than 60 albums under his own name, and countless others as a sideman, including Cannonball Adderley's celebrated album Somethin' Else. On May 19, 1962, he played piano as actress Marilyn Monroe sang her famous "Happy Birthday, Mr. President" song to then U.S. president John F. Kennedy.
Biography
Born in Vicksburg, Mississippi, Henry "Hank" Jones moved to Pontiac, Michigan, where his father, Henry Jones Sr. a Baptist deacon and lumber inspector, bought a three-story brick home. One of seven children, Jones was raised in a musical family. His mother Olivia Jones sang; his two older sisters studied piano; and his two younger brothers—Thad, a trumpeter, and Elvin, a drummer—also became prominent jazz musicians. He studied piano at an early age and came under the influence of Earl Hines, Fats Waller, Teddy Wilson, and Art Tatum. By the age of 13 Jones was performing locally in Michigan and Ohio. While playing with territory bands in Grand Rapids and Lansing in 1944 he met Lucky Thompson, who invited Jones to work in New York City at the Onyx Club with Hot Lips Page.
