T Symmetry is the symmetry of physical laws under a time reversal transformation:
Although in restricted contexts one may find this symmetry, the observable universe itself does not show symmetry under time reversal, primarily due to the second law of thermodynamics.
Time asymmetries are generally distinguished as between those intrinsic to the dynamic laws of nature, and those due to the initial conditions of our universe. The T-asymmetry of the weak force is of the first kind, while the T-asymmetry of the second law of thermodynamics is of the second kind.
Physicists also discuss the time-reversal invariance of local and/or macroscopic descriptions of physical systems, independent of the invariance of the underlying microscopic physical laws. For example, Maxwell's equations with material absorption or Newtonian mechanics with friction are not time-reversal invariant at the macroscopic level where they are normally applied, even if they are invariant at the microscopic level when one includes the atomic motions the "lost" energy is translated into.

Richard Phillips Feynman (
/ˈfaɪnmən/; May 11, 1918 – February 15, 1988) was an American physicist known for his work in the path integral formulation of quantum mechanics, the theory of quantum electrodynamics, and the physics of the superfluidity of supercooled liquid helium, as well as in particle physics (he proposed the parton model). For his contributions to the development of quantum electrodynamics, Feynman, jointly with Julian Schwinger and Sin-Itiro Tomonaga, received the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1965. He developed a widely used pictorial representation scheme for the mathematical expressions governing the behavior of subatomic particles, which later became known as Feynman diagrams. During his lifetime, Feynman became one of the best-known scientists in the world. In a 1999 poll of 130 leading physicists worldwide by the British journal Physics World he was ranked as one of the ten greatest physicists of all time.
He assisted in the development of the atomic bomb and was a member of the panel that investigated the Space Shuttle Challenger disaster. In addition to his work in theoretical physics, Feynman has been credited with pioneering the field of quantum computing, and introducing the concept of nanotechnology. He held the Richard Chace Tolman professorship in theoretical physics at the California Institute of Technology.

Otterbox Symmetry Review - Double the thickness of your iPhone 6 with this "slim" iPhone case

Our video for our Otterbox Symmetry Review for the iPhone 6. It’s a decent case and it’ll tide you over until you can get something better because lets face it, a slim case that’s twice the thickness of your awesome iPhone 6 isn’t really that slim.
Based on our time with the case, we gave it a score of 3.9 Eh’s out of 5. It’s a case that fits the iPhone 6 well, is fairly affordable but will make you feel scared to use your iPhone 6 with one hand.
For our case reviews, we try to spend a reasonable amount of time with each case before rating them. In our possession, we’ve got three of Otterbox iPhone 6 cases (the Defender, Symmetry and Commuter) and out of these three cases, we have to give our hat tip to the Otterbox Symmetry though I have been very underwhelmed by this batch of Otterbox cases. I’ll elaborate on that in a bit.
The Symmetry feels like a solid case, fits the iPhone 6 fairly, especially when compared to the equivalently priced Otterbox Commuter.
However, I struggled a bit with the case when using it with one hand. I’ll elaborate on that in a bit. The back of the case is very slick so if you’re working on sloping smooth surfaces, your iPhone 6 is not going to stay in place.
So we’re going to take the next few minutes and go over a couple of the unique features of the case. If you need all the details, check out our review table on our website.
Design
It’s sold as a slim case but in reality, is it really that slim? It will double the thickness of your iPhone 6. From our experience cases that are double the thickness of the device usually provide a lot more protection than the Otterbox Symmetry. Some of the slime cases that we’ve reviewed the for the iPhone 5/5S only added 25% extra thickness so why can’t the Symmetry do the same thing?
This added size, in addition to the fact that the back of the case is quite slick, makes the iPhone 6 a lot more difficult to use in one hand. This is frustrating to me because I’m a big fan of using my phone with one hand since it allows to do other things with the other hand. The added thickness of the case and slick back makes the iPhone 6 feel very uncomfortable when I’m using it with one hand.
There’s a few more things that annoy me about the case and I’ve captured them on the website version of the Otterbox Symmetry review so that I can keep the length of this video reasonable.
Protection
Now according to Otterbox, the Symmetry is one of the slimmest, most protective iPhone 6 cases in its class but like most Otterbox cases, its not rated to any Mil-Spec so take it that statement with a grain of salt. That annoys me a bit but not as much as the screen protection for this case.
In terms of screen protection, you could install a screen protector on your iPhone 6 with the Symmetry. On this iPhone 6, I’ve got a Otterbox Screen protector on this iPhone 6 and over time the Symmetry is going to peel off your screen protector because the edges of case butt up against the edges screen protector.
On top of that, the Otterbox screen protector isn’t really cut properly as it doesn’t take into account the rounded edges of the iPhone 6.
This annoys because, well firstly, Otterbox is the #1 selling case for smartphone in the US and Canada. So why doesn’t most of their cases fit well? The screen protector isn’t properly cut? Did they measure the dimensions of the iPhone 6 with their thumbs? Then wouldn’t you check to see if the cases you make fit the screen protectors that you produce? I’ll be honest with you, I work pretty hard for my case so when I’m dropping 50 bucks on a case that isn’t rated to any Mil Spec, I’m expecting something decent. For the most part, what I see here can be accomplished with a 10 dollar case from a street vendor.
Functionality
In terms of functionality, the Otterbox Symmetry doesn’t have any negative effects on the usage of your iPhone. The cutouts for the headphone jack and lightning port are large enough that you can easily use non-Apple accessories with the iPhone 6 installed inside the Symmetry.

Some of the slime cases that we’ve reviewed the for the iPhone 5/5S only added 25% extra thickness so why can’t the Symmetry do the same thing?
This added size, in addition to the fact that the back of the case is quite slick, makes the iPhone 6 a lot more difficult to use in one hand. This is frustrating to me because I’m a big fan of using my phone with one hand since it allows to do other things with the other hand. The added thickness of the case and slick back makes the iPhone 6 feel very uncomfortable when I’m using it with one hand.
There’s a few more things that annoy me about the case and I’ve captured them on the website version of the Otterbox Symmetry review so that I can keep the length of this video reasonable.
Protection
Now according to Otterbox, the Symmetry is one of the slimmest, most protective iPhone 6 cases in its class but like most Otterbox cases, its not rated to any Mil-Spec so take it that statement with a grain of salt. That annoys me a bit but not as much as the screen protection for this case.
In terms of screen protection, you could install a screen protector on your iPhone 6 with the Symmetry. On this iPhone 6, I’ve got a Otterbox Screen protector on this iPhone 6 and over time the Symmetry is going to peel off your screen protector because the edges of case butt up against the edges screen protector.
On top of that, the Otterbox screen protector isn’t really cut properly as it doesn’t take into account the rounded edges of the iPhone 6.
This annoys because, well firstly, Otterbox is the #1 selling case for smartphone in the US and Canada. So why doesn’t most of their cases fit well? The screen protector isn’t properly cut? Did they measure the dimensions of the iPhone 6 with their thumbs? Then wouldn’t you check to see if the cases you make fit the screen protectors that you produce? I’ll be honest with you, I work pretty hard for my case so when I’m dropping 50 bucks on a case that isn’t rated to any Mil Spec, I’m expecting something decent. For the most part, what I see here can be accomplished with a 10 dollar case from a street vendor.
Functionality
In terms of functionality, the Otterbox Symmetry doesn’t have any negative effects on the usage of your iPhone. The cutouts for the headphone jack and lightning port are large enough that you can easily use non-Apple accessories with the iPhone 6 installed inside the Symmetry.

I know this client since the '80s; he is my ex-husband. He is one of my biggest fans these days and talks about the great job I've done on his urban apartment when I am not there to hear it.
