Cartoon Network
Cartoon Network is an American basic cable and satellite television channel that is owned by the Turner Broadcasting System division of Time Warner. The channel airs primarily animated programming, ranging from action to animated comedy. It was founded by Betty Cohen and launched on October 1, 1992.
It is primarily aimed at children and teenagers between the ages of 7–16, and also targets older teens and adults with mature content during its late night daypart Adult Swim, which is treated as a separate entity for promotional purposes and as a separate channel by Nielsen for ratings purposes. A Spanish language audio track for select programs is accessible via SAP; some cable and satellite companies offer the Spanish feed as a separate channel.
As of February 2015, Cartoon Network is available to approximately 96.4 million pay television households (82.8% of households with television) in the United States.
History
Development
On August 4, 1986, Ted Turner's Turner Broadcasting System acquired Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer/United Artists from Kirk Kerkorian; due to concerns over the debt load of his companies, on October 17, 1986, Turner was forced to sell MGM back to Kerkorian after approximately only 74 days of ownership. However, Turner kept much of MGM's film and television library made prior to May 1986 (as well as some of the United Artists library) and formed Turner Entertainment.

Clarence Lung
Clarence Lung (October 20, 1914 – October 15, 1993) was a film and television actor. He appeared in films such as Dragon Seed, Song of the Sarong, Experiment in Terror, Prisoner Of War, Operation Petticoat, China and The Hundred Days of the Dragon. Among the television programs he appeared in were Secret Agent X-9 and China Smith.
He died on 15 October 1993, aged 78.
Roles
His television credits include Guys Like O'Malley, a story about an observation post during the Korean war, in which he appeared along with James Best and Neville Brand.
In film, one of his early roles was a small part in The Good Earth. Later he played Attorney Yung in Experiment in Terror, a film that starred Glenn Ford and Lee Remick. He had a supporting role in Dragon Seed that starred Audrey Hepburn. In that film he had the distinction of being the only American actor of Chinese descent to play an adult member of the Tan family and have screen credit. He appeared alongside John Lupton and James Hong in the 1959 film Blood And Steel.

Hong Kong
Hong Kong (香港; "Fragrant Harbour"), officially Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China, is an autonomous territory on the southern coast of China at the Pearl River Estuary and the South China Sea. Hong Kong is known for its skyline and deep natural harbour. It has a land area of 1104 km2 and shares its northern border with Guangdong Province of Mainland China. With around 7.2 million inhabitants of various nationalities, Hong Kong is one of the world's most densely populated metropolises.
After the First Opium War (1839–42), Hong Kong became a British colony with the perpetual cession of Hong Kong Island, followed by Kowloon Peninsula in 1860 and a 99-year lease of the New Territories from 1898. Hong Kong remained under British control for about a century until the Second World War, when Japan occupied the colony from December 1941 to August 1945. After the Surrender of Japan, the British resumed control. In the 1980s, negotiations between the United Kingdom and the China resulted in the 1984 Sino-British Joint Declaration, which provided for the transfer of sovereignty of Hong Kong on 30 June 1997. The territory became a special administrative region of China with a high degree of autonomy on 1 July 1997 under the principle of one country, two systems. Disputes over the perceived misapplication of this principle have contributed to popular protests, including the 2014 Umbrella Revolution.

Florence and the Machine
Florence and the Machine (styled as Florence + the Machine) are an English indie rock band that formed in London in 2007, consisting of lead singer Florence Welch, Isabella Summers, and a collaboration of other artists. The band's music received praise across the media, especially from the BBC, which played a large part in their rise to prominence by promoting Florence and the Machine as part of BBC Introducing. At the 2009 Brit Awards they received the Brit Awards "Critics' Choice" award. The band's music is renowned for its dramatic and eccentric production and also Welch's vocal performances.
The band's debut studio album, Lungs, was released on 6 July 2009, and held the number-two position for its first five weeks on the UK Albums Chart. On 17 January 2010, the album reached the top position, after being on the chart for twenty-eight consecutive weeks. As of October 2010, the album had been in the top forty in the United Kingdom for sixty-five consecutive weeks, making it one of the best-selling albums of 2009 and 2010. The group's second studio album, Ceremonials, released in October 2011, entered the charts at number one in the UK and number six in the US. The band's third album, How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful, was released on 2 June 2015. It topped the UK charts, and debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200, their first to do so. The album reached number one in a total of eight countries and the top ten of twenty. Also in 2015, the band was the headlining act at Glastonbury Festival, making Florence Welch the first British female headliner this century.

The series was a production of 20th Century Fox Television, and the final credit of each episode stated: "Filmed by Twentieth Century Fox Television Inc. at its Hollywood studios and in the Crown Colony of Hong Kong". Hong Kong was set in the then British Crown Colony of Hong Kong. Taylor portrayed Glenn Evans, an American journalist who worked in the exotic Far Eastern city. His search for stories led him into encounters with smugglers, murderers, drug peddlers, and mysterious women who would disappear behind beaded curtains. The Lone Wolf is a character created by novelist Louis Joseph Vance (1879–1933). His eight stories about a gentleman jewel thief who was always meeting and helping ladies in distress were published from 1914 until his death in 1933. They inspired not only Lone Wolf movies and television shows like this one, but also were the inspiration for the gentleman criminal-turned-detective The Saint. In 1954 Gross-Krasne Productions, an independent television show producer, filmed 39 thirty minute episodes for television. They changed The Lone Wolf character from a criminal jewel thief to a wealthy man-about-town that always stumbles upon a mystery that only he can solve. You will see many of the movie and television stars of that era playing parts in these detective thrillers.

Hong Kong is a 26-episode adventure/drama series (plus an initial pilot episode) which aired on ABC television during the 1960–1961 season and helped to catapult Australian actor Rod Taylor into a major film star, primarily in the 1960s, beginning with his role in Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds. The series was a production of 20th Century Fox Television, and the final credit of each episode stated: "Filmed by Twentieth Century Fox Television Inc. at its Hollywood studios and in the Crown Colony of Hong Kong".
Hong Kong was set in the then British Crown Colony of Hong Kong. Taylor portrayed Glenn Evans, an American journalist who worked in the exotic Far Eastern city. His search for stories led him into encounters with smugglers, murderers, drug peddlers, and mysterious women who would disappear behind beaded curtains. Taylor’s principal costars were Lloyd Bochner, who portrayed Chief Inspector Neil Campbell, and Jack Kruschen as Tully the bartender

Hong Kong is a 26-episode adventure/drama series (plus an initial pilot episode) which aired on ABC television during the 1960–1961 season and helped to catapult Australian actor Rod Taylor into a major film star, primarily in the 1960s, beginning with his role in Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds. The series was a production of 20th Century Fox Television, and the final credit of each episode stated: "Filmed by Twentieth Century Fox Television Inc. at its Hollywood studios and in the Crown Colony of Hong Kong".

Derek Yee Tung-Sing directed and co-wrote with Keith Lee Baak Ling (the man behind the infamous HK horror nightmare Centipede Horror from 1982) this film, People's Hero (1987), starring Ti Lung who had just returned to making films with John Woo's influential gangster classic A Better Tomorrow in 1986, a film that also made a star out of Chow Yun-Fat. Ti Lung is in People's Hero as calm and restrained as can be expected and the film is definitely among the more interesting HK films of the late eighties.
Ti Lung is a seemingly ordinary man who one fateful day goes to visit a bank in Hong Kong. Also two suspicious looking younger fellows (young Tony Leung Chiu-Wai and Ronald Wong Ban) arrive there, and it is not so long before we get to know the two are going to rob the place with a pistol as their weapon. Soon, an unexpected thing happens, and their plan goes as wrong as ever possible and soon they learn they're trapped inside the bank while police is surrounding the place outside. The police include another Tony Leung of Hong Kong cinema, Tony Leung Ka-Fai, and people should not mix these two together! Also something is revealed about Ti Lung's character and who he after all is.
People's Hero is a very noteworthy film as it lacks all the usual "slapstick humor" and irritating comical elements often found in Hong Kong films no matter what genre we're talking about. People's Hero is a serious piece of work and gets even more serious, almost shocking to be more precise, at the end. The film strikes again against the authorities and police and it all were taken as far as possible in the forthcoming Category III and "true life murder case" boom that began with the success and impact of Danny Lee's and Billy Tang's creepy and menacing Dr. Lamb in 1992. More bad and rotten policemen became next year, 1993, in Herman Yau's over-the-top brutal and harrowing The Untold Story in which the police gets even more sadistic and evil than the killer (Anthony Wong in his award winning performance) himself. In People's Hero, the police is not depicted as thoroughly bad as Tony Leung Ka-Fai's character is not bad and not willing to use violence and kill so no one should blame the film about just judging the police.
The ending is among the most violent I've seen for some time as it is even uglier than the finale in the first of the so called heroic bloodshed films, Johnny Mak's classical Long Arm of the Law from 1984. That film has a very memorable and violent end scene in which the mainlanders get to know the habits of the local police in the most inhuman way while they're visiting Hong Kong in order to make some quick money there. The ending in People's Hero is equally bad but it comes much faster and thus is more shocking and unexpected. A human being simply could not be depicted any more brute and wicked than in here, and that of course makes the viewer quite breathless when the end credits finally start to roll. The instinct and willing to kill another human being, dominate and get excited, lies inside human nature and it just must be kept away and inactive, and films like People's Hero are there to make it clear even for the most passive viewer and audience.
The film has pretty well written characters and only occasional irritating bits of unnecessary screaming and crying can be found in the film. If they were left out, the film would be even more powerful and noteworthy. Also some of the motives of the characters are little unclear, for instance would Ti Lung's character have killed some of the hostages if the phone hadn't rung in time? I guess not, but why couldn't the writers make it more clear inside the film?
Lowell Lo's music is again the film's strongest points and during the above mentioned finale it gets almost as powerful and chilling (with some stylish and dramatic slow motion photography) as in Ringo Lam's harrowing and ultra violent School on Fire (1988), a film that hits the viewer straight to the skull and hammers the message there. Lo's music can also be heard in Hong Kong films like John Woo's The Killer (1989) and Clarence Fok's 1992 trash classic Naked Killer among many other more or less classical Hong Kong films. His soundtrack in these films is again a strong proof of the abilities and power of soundtrack and music in cinema and his name on the credits of a Hong Kong film is for me a reason enough to watch the film.
People's Hero is a very recommended and noteworthy film that is quite unknown and only pretty rarely distributed, I think. It has been released on tape at least in USA and UK so if a Hong Kong cinema enthusiast finds a copy, I'd recommend to get it as the film is a good piece of the industry and the ending alone gives a strong punch to the senses and shows what are the abilities of these talented Eastern film makers.

More bad and rotten policemen became next year, 1993, in Herman Yau's over-the-top brutal and harrowing The Untold Story in which the police gets even more sadistic and evil than the killer (Anthony Wong in his award winning performance) himself. In People's Hero, the police is not depicted as thoroughly bad as Tony Leung Ka-Fai's character is not bad and not willing to use violence and kill so no one should blame the film about just judging the police.
The ending is among the most violent I've seen for some time as it is even uglier than the finale in the first of the so called heroic bloodshed films, Johnny Mak's classical Long Arm of the Law from 1984. That film has a very memorable and violent end scene in which the mainlanders get to know the habits of the local police in the most inhuman way while they're visiting Hong Kong in order to make some quick money there. The ending in People's Hero is equally bad but it comes much faster and thus is more shocking and unexpected. A human being simply could not be depicted any more brute and wicked than in here, and that of course makes the viewer quite breathless when the end credits finally start to roll. The instinct and willing to kill another human being, dominate and get excited, lies inside human nature and it just must be kept away and inactive, and films like People's Hero are there to make it clear even for the most passive viewer and audience.
The film has pretty well written characters and only occasional irritating bits of unnecessary screaming and crying can be found in the film. If they were left out, the film would be even more powerful and noteworthy. Also some of the motives of the characters are little unclear, for instance would Ti Lung's character have killed some of the hostages if the phone hadn't rung in time? I guess not, but why couldn't the writers make it more clear inside the film?
Lowell Lo's music is again the film's strongest points and during the above mentioned finale it gets almost as powerful and chilling (with some stylish and dramatic slow motion photography) as in Ringo Lam's harrowing and ultra violent School on Fire (1988), a film that hits the viewer straight to the skull and hammers the message there. Lo's music can also be heard in Hong Kong films like John Woo's The Killer (1989) and Clarence Fok's 1992 trash classic Naked Killer among many other more or less classical Hong Kong films. His soundtrack in these films is again a strong proof of the abilities and power of soundtrack and music in cinema and his name on the credits of a Hong Kong film is for me a reason enough to watch the film.
People's Hero is a very recommended and noteworthy film that is quite unknown and only pretty rarely distributed, I think. It has been released on tape at least in USA and UK so if a Hong Kong cinema enthusiast finds a copy, I'd recommend to get it as the film is a good piece of the industry and the ending alone gives a strong punch to the senses and shows what are the abilities of these talented Eastern film makers.

PALM BAY, Florida - The Florida Department of Law Enforcement has arrested Brevard County Sheriff's Deputy, Yousef Hafza, for the charges of second degree murder with a firearm and attempted second degree murder with a firearm following an alleged road rage incident on Emerson Drive in Palm Bay, Florida on Sunday, June 19, 2016.
The 32-year-old deputy shot and killed 25-year-old Clarence Mahogany X Howard while off duty during the incident. According to the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office, Hafza did not identify himself as a law enforcement officer and was not acting in a law enforcement capacity.
FDLE began the investigation at the request of Palm Bay Police Chief Mark Renkens and Brevard County Sheriff Wayne Ivey. The investigation shows Hafza’s vehicle and another vehicle nearly collided just after 11 a.m. on June 19.
The driver and a passenger followed Hafza’s car. Hafza and the victims stopped their vehicles and exited.
During their interaction, Hafza fired his weapon, resulting in the death of the passenger in the other vehicle. The driver of the vehicle was not injured.
Hafza is being held in the Brevard County Jail on no bond. The State Attorney’s Office, 18th Judicial Circuit will prosecute this case.
"Cases involving a member of your own agency are best facilitated with complete transparency that ensures public trust while also protecting the integrity of the investigation," said Brevard County Sheriff Wayne Ivey. "As such, from the very beginning of the incident, I asked FDLE to conduct an independent investigation and present their findings to the State Attorney's Office for a full review of the facts. Following their review, the State Attorney authorized an arrest warrant, which resulted in Yousef Hafza being charged today by FDLE.”
"Pursuant to the arrest, Hafza was immediately suspended from our agency without pay pending an Administrative review of the incident. Once FDLE has completed their investigation, they will provide a copy of the findings, which will furnish the information required to complete the Administrative Investigation."
Hafza is an eleven-year law enforcement veteran, having been previously employed by the Palm Bay Police Department, Orange County Sheriff’s Office and the West Melbourne Police Department.

11:20 A.M. Radio chatter advises that CPR is in progress and being performed by responding Palm Bay police officers.
11:22 A.M. Dispatch advises fire rescue that the scene is still not secure.
11:23 A.M. Scene declared secure.
11:24 A.M. Request to launch First Flight.
11:25 A.M. Roads ordered closed in the area of Pace for First Flight landing zone.
11:30 A.M. Fire Rescue declares that the patient is not a trauma code.
11:31 A.M. Injury is described as a gun shot wound to the patient's right side near the lung but not a code.
11:36 A.M. Patient "coded again" - decision is made to transport by ground to Holmes Regional Medical Center rather than by First Flight.

His search for stories led him into encounters with smugglers, murderers, drug peddlers, and mysterious women who would disappear behind beaded curtains. Taylor’s principal costars were Lloyd Bochner, who portrayed Chief Inspector Neil Campbell, and Jack Kruschen as Tully the bartender

My father still has that hunting hat with a bullet hole through it from 'Byrons' 30-30 rifle. Byron hunted off season with a rock he bashed on the heads of deer as he jumped out of a tree. The whole song is a true story.
