Viju Khote (Vittal Bapurao Khote) (born 17 December) is an Indian actor who has worked as character actor in more than 300 films in Hindi cinema and Marathi cinema. He is especially famous as the dacoit Kalia in the film Sholay and the dialogue, Sardar maine aapka namak khaya hai and Robert in movie Andaz Apna Apna. He has acted in several comedy roles, and on television he is most remembered for his role in Zabaan Sambhalke (1993). He has also acted in Marathi theatre over the years.
He is actress Shobha Khote's twin brother. Their father Nandu Khote was a noted stage actor and in silent movies, whose sister was actress Durga Khote.
Ketan Mehta (born 1952) is an Indian film director, who has also directed documentaries and television serials.
Born in Navsari in Gujarat, Ketan Mehta did his schooling from Sardar Patel Vidyalaya, Delhi and later graduated in film direction from Film and Television Institute of India, Pune.
During his career he has made 10 feature films, seven documentaries and 2 television serials- Captain Vyom & Mr. Yogi (TV series) to his credit. His repertoire of themes include comedy, satire, romance, violence and rebellion.
Ketan Mehta's very first film Bhavni Bhavai,a Gujarati film, won him acclaim. His movies have been selected for various international film festivals such as Nantes (France) and the Moscow Film Festival, where his movies have won numerous awards over the years. Mirch Masala was one of Ketan Mehta's notable efforts which won him the Best Film Award at Hawaii. It was released to 52 cinemas in the United States. Ketan Mehta has also had the honour of serving as a member of the Jury in various national and international film festivals.
Shoma Anand (born 16 February 1958) is an Indian television and film actress. Although she has played frequently supporting roles or made cameo appearances throughout the 1980s and 1990s, she had a few films in which she was the lead, such as Jagir and Coolie in the 80s. From the late 1990s to present she has played minor and supporting roles in films like Hungama, Kyaa Kool Hai Hum and Kal Ho Naa Ho.
She also was a star on the Indian TV soap Bhabhi and the hugely successful sitcom Hum Paanch. She also played a role in Shararat. She has also worked in Punjabi movies over the years.
She is married to actor Tariq Shah and they have a daughter, Sarah. She stars in the Zee TV drama Maayka as Jeet's mother & Soni's mother-in-law.
Mamta Kulkarni born 20 April 1972 is a former Bollywood Actress. During the 90s, she was part of several commercial successes such as Karan Arjun (1995), Sabse Bada Khiladi (1995), Aashiq Awara (1993), Krantiveer (1994) among others.
Kulkarni made her debut through the Tamil film Nanbargal which was directed by S. A. Chandrasekhar. She made her Bollywood debut with the 1992 movie Tirangaa. In 1993 she starred in Aashiq Awara, which won her a Filmfare Lux New Face Award. She went to appear in many other popular films such as Waqt Hamara Hai (1993), Krantiveer (1994), Karan Arjun (1995), Sabse Bada Khiladi (1995), Ghatak: Lethal (1996), Beqabu, Baazi, Gangstar, Chupa Rustam, Qila, Andolan, which did well at the box office.
Things seemed to change when Rajkumar Santoshi, in whose earlier movie Ghatak: Lethal (1996), she had a cameo appearance, cast her as the female lead in his 1998 movie China Gate, an ambitious remake of Seven Samurai. In a glamorized role and sharing screen space with some of Hindi cinemas finest actors, she had the perfect opportunity to showcase her acting talent.
Ashok Saraf (born 4 June 1947) is an Indian actor and comedian. He has appeared in many Hindi and Marathi movies for since the late 1960s.
Ashok Saraf is known mainly for comedy movies, many of which he appeared in with Laxmikant Berde. Apart from films, Ashok Saraf has also starred in television serials like Yeh Choti Badi Baatein and Hum Paanch (as Anand Mathur).
Saraf is married to actress Nivedita Joshi-Saraf. They have one son.
