The Afar are an ethnic group in the Horn of Africa. They primarily live in the Afar Region of Ethiopia and in northern Djibouti, although some also inhabit the southern point of Eritrea. Afars speak the Afar language, which is part of the Cushitic branch of the Afro-Asiatic family.The Afar principally reside in the Danakil Desert in the Afar Region of Ethiopia, as well as in Eritrea and Djibouti. They number 1,276,867 people in Ethiopia (or 1.73% of the total population), of whom 105,551 are urban inhabitants, according to the most recent census. The Afar make up over a third of the population of Djibouti, and are one of the nine recognized ethnic divisions of Ethiopia.

DocuVEVO Tribal Wives Afar Yavalapiti Documentary The Yawalapiti (also Jaulapiti, Yaulapiti, or Yawalapití) are an indigenous tribe in the Amazonian Basin of Brazil.[2] The name is also spelled Iaualapiti in Portuguese. The current village Yawalapiti is situated more to the south, between the Tuatuari and Kuluene River. Their population in 2011 is 156,[1] down from a 2010 population of 237 (2010) but up from a low of 25 in 1954. The Yawalapiti live in the Xingu Indian Park,[1] in Upper Xingu region along with Kiabi, Yudja and Suya tribes. The ways of life of these four tribes are quite similar despite having different languages. Their villages are situated around Lake Ipavu, which is six kilometres from the Kuluene River.

Afar is a language of the Cushitic branch of the Afro-Asiatic language family, spoken by the Afar people who inhabit the Horn of Africa; mainly Ethiopia, Eritrea and Djibouti. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Afar_people Within Cushitic it's classified as a "East Cushitic" language in what is for now classified as the Lowland East Cushitic subbranch of that particular subbranch. It is very closely related to the Saho language with which it forms a subbranch of Lowland East Cushitic dubbed "Saho-Afar". “Home and Afar Deepdale” takes as its focal point the floodlights of Preston North Ends football ground at Deepdale Road, every shot in the film is framed so that they are present. The floodlights acting like beacons in the dark sky allowing the fans to know a match is on. Focussing on the lights allows the film to flow from Deepdale Road, Moor Park and on to further afield in Preston; giving the viewers a chance to see/appreciate the ground and its relation to Preston from angles they may not be aware of; they also give the film a universal appeal in that floodlights are a part of all football grounds. The further afield the film goes the floodlights take on new characteristics, and viewing them in this new context they take on the appearance of an otherworldly, alien like structures looking down on the city below as people go about their daily lives. Whilst on the soundtrack we hear the emotions of a match being played inside the stadium allowing us to experience the highs and lows, the passion of the fans chanting; and the beating drums urging their team on to victory.

This new human ancestor, dubbed Australopithecus deyiremeda — which means “close relative” in the native language of the Afar people — discovered in the Woranso-Mille area of the Afar region in Ethiopia has been dated to 3.3-3.5 million years ago, which puts it smack in the middle of the date range given to Lucy — 2.9-3.8 million years ago....
