Go get yourself loved.
Annie: Sadness be gone, let's be people who deserve to be loved, who are worthy, cause we are worthy.
Mary Catherine: I always thought of that as the moment you came into focus... like, "Oh, there you are."
Sam #2: You can hear this, close your eyes::Annie: What?::Sam #2: I just want you to listen to me. Humor me please?::Sam #2: [Annie closes her eyes] It's not easy to be adored - you in particular - you have a tougher time with it than most, I get that, but I want you to give it a try. Think of it as an experiment. I promise I will be very wonderful at adoring you Annie. It an area where, I think I got a great deal of talent. You're worth the adoration Annie, you're worth it, and the fact that you don't believe it, has nothing to do with whether it's true or not, it is true for me, and that is all that matters.
Mississippi: I realized the problem. You write short stories... and I think you like living short stories, but I'm kinda ready for the novel.

They were friends. They were enemies. A passerby could not tell which was who. This was the seething sultry Old Southwest. Where loyalties and labels shifted with the sands, the winking of an eye, the wavering of a gun!
[Cole Thornton is turning down Bart Jason]::Bart Jason: Since when did hired guns get choosy? You're paid to take...::Cole: I'm paid to risk my neck. I'll decide where and when I'll do it. This isn't it.::Bart Jason: Ya know, Thornton, I got an idea you just don't want to go up against Sheriff J.P. Harrah.::Cole: You know, you're just about right?::Bart Jason: You think he's that good?::Cole: I tell ya he's that good.
Sheriff J. P. Harrah: What the hell are you doin' here?::Cole: I'm lookin' at a tin star with a... drunk pinned on it.
Sheriff J. P. Harrah: He went out that door!::Cole: Well you oughta know! You missed him!
Milt: You've got a lot of faith in me, don't ya, Nelse?::Nelse McLeod: Faith can move mountains, Milt. But it can't beat a faster draw. There's only three men I know with his kind of speed. One's dead. The other's me. And the third is Cole Thornton.::Cole: There's a fourth.::Nelse McLeod: Which one are you?::Cole: I'm Thornton.::[Milt withdraws]::Nelse McLeod: Aren't you glad you didn't try, Milt? Pick up your guns, both of you, real easy.::Cole: Like he said, real easy.
Cole: Next time you shoot somebody, don't go near 'em till you're... sure they're dead!
Sheriff J. P. Harrah: Well, wait a minute, wait, wait for me!::Cole: Why?
Nelse McLeod: Can you use a gun?::Mississippi: Well, if I could I'd be using one. Good evening.::Cole: Just minute, Mississippi.::Mississippi: Would you mind telling me why you have such a great passion for my company?
Cole: Did you get him?::Mississippi: Who?::Cole: The fella that ran outta the church!::Mississippi: Well, yes and no.::Cole: Yes and no? Did you or didn't you?::Mississippi: I hit the sign, and the sign hit him.::Cole: Well, that's great.::Mississippi: He was limping when he left!::Cole: He was limping when he got here!
Mississippi: Always liked that poem too. Makes me wanna...::Cole: Ride, boldly ride? Well it don't work out that way.::Mississippi: I'm learnin' that.
Mississippi: [examining J.P.'s leg after he's been shot] I gotta cut this pant leg.::Sheriff J. P. Harrah: Well, go ahead and cut it! Have you got a kni...::[Mississippi pulls out his knife from its hiding place on his back]::Sheriff J. P. Harrah: A knife? Uh, I suppose I've asked this before, but just who?::[looks at Cole instead]::Sheriff J. P. Harrah: Who is he?::Cole: Tell him your name, Mississippi.::Mississippi: [sighs and looks up] Alan Bourdillion Trehearne.::Sheriff J. P. Harrah: Well, no wonder he carries a knife.

The HIV VIDEO MINUTE WITH JOSH ROBBINS from http://imstilljosh.com and http://hivm.in. - Scientists ‘Delete’ HIV Virus From Cultured Human DNA cells for the First Time according to HealthDay. Now this was just experimental in the lab, but it might prove the concept. A team of scientists at Temple University School of Medince in Philly said their approach may one day lead to a cure for HIV, or even a preventative vaccine for it. — That sounds good to me. Or as my pals say in West Tennessee “Git er dun, y’all!” And the Mississippi State Department of Health announced the availability of a new toll-free call center with information and referrals for those interested in PrEP, a prevention pill for HIV. Mississippi is the first in the nation to provide this service for its residents. While the state department of health doesn't provide PrEP at its HIV treatment clinics, the call center can now link those who qualify to providers who do offer it. Hey… we’ll take it. Not fully on board yet. But close. Anyways, congrats to taking the initiative.

The Mississippi Bubble by Charles Mackay - Non fiction - ECONOMICS AUDIOBOOK The Mississippi Company of 1684 became the Company of the West in 1717, and expanded as the Company of the Indies from 1719. This corporation, which held a business monopoly in French colonies in North America and the West Indies, became one of the earliest examples of an economic bubble. In May 1716, the Banque Générale Privée ("General Private Bank"), which developed the use of paper money, was set up by convicted murderer and millionaire gambler John Law. It was a private bank, but three quarters of the capital consisted of government bills and government-accepted notes. In August 1717, he bought the Mississippi Company to help the French colony in Louisiana. In the same year Law conceived a joint stock trading company called the Compagnie d'Occident (or, The Mississippi Company). Law was named the Chief Director of this new company, which was granted a trade monopoly of the West Indies and North America by the French government. The bank became the Banque Royale (Royal Bank) in 1718, meaning the notes were guaranteed by the king, Louis XV of France. The Company absorbed the Compagnie des Indes Orientales, Compagnie de Chine, and other rival trading companies and became the Compagnie Perpetuelle des Indes on 23 May 1719 with a monopoly of commerce on all the seas. Simultaneously, the bank began issuing more notes than it could represent in coinage; this led to an economic inflation, which was eventually followed by a bank run when the value of the new paper currency was halved. The Mississippi Bubble itself. Law exaggerated the wealth of Louisiana with an effective marketing scheme, which led to wild speculation on the shares of the company in 1719. The scheme promised success for the Mississippi Company by combining investor fervour and the wealth of its Louisiana prospects into a sustainable joint-trading company. The popularity of company shares were such that they sparked a need for more paper bank-notes, and when shares generated profits the investors were paid out in paper bank notes. In 1720, the bank and company were united and Law was appointed by Philippe II, Duke of Orleans, then Regent for Louis XV, to be Comptroller General of Finances to attract capital. Law's pioneering note-issuing bank thrived until the French government was forced to admit that the number of paper notes being issued by the Banque Royale were not equal to the amount of metal coinage it held. The "bubble" burst at the end of 1720, when opponents of the financier attempted to convert their notes into specie en masse, forcing the bank to stop payment on its paper notes. By the end of 1720 Philippe d'Orléans, regent of France for Louis XV, had dismissed Law from his positions. Law then fled France for Venice. This edition of Fireside Chat discusses The Blueprint Mississippi Social Business Challenge. The challenge was recently announced by Governor Phil Bryant; Blake Wilson, Mississippi Economic Council president and CEO; and Hank Bounds, Commissioner of Higher Education. “These men know that our state’s students possess the creativity and ingenuity necessary to provide a creative solution and develop a business plan to address some of Mississippi's most pressing problems,” said Delta State President William N. LaForge. “Because of these student’s capabilities, they have invited teams of students from Mississippi’s public universities to put their heads together and come up with a plan.” Students were asked to focus their efforts in support of one of the nine goals identified by Blueprint Mississippi. The challenge requires students to work in teams of no more than six with at least one faculty advisor. The nine areas include: Educational Achievement; Robust Workforce; Strengthened Economy; Health Care; Creative Economy; Competitive Economy; Financial Capital; Diversity; and Coordination Among Leaders. This featured video guest is Dr. Melody Fortune, assistant professor in Healthcare Administration and advisor of four-of-the-five Delta State teams. Fortune discusses the four teams she is advising and what they hope to achieve. She explains in more detail what the students will learn from participating in this challenge. The challenge will serve as an opportunity to showcase the talent and skill level of students at Delta State. Since when did free speech become an act of war? This is the question we should be asking because it begs an answer from the muslims who continually declare 'acts of war' on the entire world. This question should also question the sanity of muslims around the world, and not only that, but it should also question the sanity of our administration, they are the ones allowing such behavior to enter our borders and telling everyone to shut up behind closed doors... Born in Tupelo, Mississippi, Presley moved to Memphis, Tennessee, with his family at the age of 13. He began his career there in 1954 when Sun Records owner Sam Phillips, eager to bring the sound of African American music to a wider audience, saw in Presley the means to realize his ambition. Accompanied by guitarist Scotty Moore and bassist Bill Black, Presley was one of the originators of rockabilly, an uptempo, backbeat-driven fusion of country and rhythm and blues. RCA Victor acquired his contract in a deal arranged by Colonel Tom Parker, who would manage the singer for over two decades. Presley's first RCA single, "Heartbreak Hotel", released in January 1956, was a number one hit. He became the leading figure of the newly popular sound of rock and roll with a series of network television appearances and chart-topping records. His energized interpretations of songs, many from African American sources, and his uninhibited performance style made him enormously popular—and controversial. In November 1956, he made his film debut in Love Me Tender. Conscripted into military service in 1958, Presley relaunched his recording career two years later with some of his most commercially successful work. He staged few concerts, however, and, guided by Parker, proceeded to devote much of the 1960s to making Hollywood movies and soundtrack albums, most of them critically derided. In 1968, after seven years away from the stage, he returned to live performance in a celebrated comeback television special that led to an extended Las Vegas concert residency and a string of profitable tours. In 1973, Presley staged the first concert broadcast globally via satellite, Aloha from Hawaii, seen by approximately 1.5 billion viewers. Prescription drug abuse severely compromised his health, and he died suddenly in 1977 at the age of 42. Presley is regarded as one of the most important figures of 20th-century popular culture. He had a versatile voice and unusually wide success encompassing many genres, including country, pop ballads, gospel, and blues. He is the best-selling solo artist in the history of popular music.[1][2][3][4] Nominated for 14 competitive Grammys, he won three, and received the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award at age 36. He has been inducted into four music halls of fame.

The Charlotte 49ers (12-15, C-USA: 5-9) left no doubt in fans’ minds who the better team was Saturday evening, blowing out C-USA opponent, Southern Miss (7-19, C-USA: 2-13), 71-43. Charlotte led by 15 after the first half and extended their lead after the break for a 28-point victory. Freshman guard Torin Dorn led the 49ers with 11 points, shooting 4-8 from the field. The 49ers held the Golden Eagles to a season low 43 points and had 11 different players contribute to the effort. “Certainly a great back bounce win for our team after coming off such a hard-fought game against Louisiana Tech where our guys were dejected and disappointed.” said Charlotte 49ers interim Head Coach Ryan Odom. “I was really pleased at the number of contributors throughout the game, whoever we called to go in was ready to play.” No Charlotte player was on the court for more than 30 minutes in a total team effort win. Freshman guard Keyshawn Woods shot 5-9 form the field, adding 10 points, four rebounds and four assists. Senior guard Perria Henry dished out a game-high eight assists and scored eight points. Junior center Mike Thorne Jr. pulled in a game-high 10 rebounds while scoring nine points of his own. Junior forward Willie Clayton was a perfect 4-4 from the field, scoring eight points and coming down with 7 rebounds. Senior guard Terrence Williams had eight points, including two 3-pointers. Senior guard Chip Armelin led Southern Miss with 16 points and four rebounds. Charlotte shot 47% from the field, while limiting Southern Miss to 32.1% (18-56) from the field. Charlotte outrebounded Southern Miss 46-28. Charlotte scored 24 points off of 14 Southern Miss turnovers. The 49ers’ bench played a huge role in the game, outscoring Southern Miss’ bench 33-4. The 21 points allowed by the 49ers defense in the first half was a season low. The previous season low was 24 points allowed by the 49ers defense in January 15th 73-57 victory against North Texas. Dorn opened up the game with an alley-oop dunk on an inbounding play, but Southern Miss had an early lead, 12-6, with 15:24 on the clock. Henry made a dazzling play in the paint to tie the game at 12 and Woods’ fade away jumper with 10:41 remaining was the only lead change of the game, putting the 49ers in front for good. Charlotte really got rolling with an 18-0 run late in the first half, holding Southern Miss scoreless for over seven minutes. The 49ers were ahead 36-21 at halftime. Never leading by less than 13 in the second half, the 49ers kept complete control of the game. Charlotte’s lead stayed around 20 for much of the second half, but after a dunk by Thorne and a jumper from Woods with 5:53 remaining, the 49ers enjoyed a 61-38 lead. Southern Miss couldn’t put together any form of a comeback as Charlotte ran away with the victory. Two late 3-pointers from sophomore guard Ivan Benkovic and junior guard Gavin Wilson and a dunk in the final seconds from sophomore forward Cameron Blakely made the final score 71-43. The 49ers head back to Texas for their final road trip of the regular-season, playing North Texas on Thursday, February 26 at 8 p.m.

In Starkville, 12th-ranked Mississippi State, led by the dynamic quarterback Dak Prescott, dominated sixth-ranked Texas A&M;, 48-31. And in Oxford, 11th-ranked Mississippi scored two touchdowns in the game’s final five and a half minutes to rally past third-ranked Alabama, 23-17. It was a remarkable ending to a weeklong celebration for the Bulldogs and the Rebels, who have had snippets of success over the last 40 seasons but have struggled to make a dent nationally or in the Southeastern Conference. For now, that has changed. Ole Miss and Mississippi State, each 5-0 over all and 2-0 in the SEC, sit atop the SEC West, perhaps the more powerful division in what is widely considered the nation’s most powerful conference. Both teams will almost certainly move into the top 10 when the national polls are released Sunday. The Rebels earned their spot by ending a 10-game losing streak against the Crimson Tide, one of college football’s most dominant teams. Nick Saban, who is his eighth year as the team’s coach, has won three national titles at Alabama. The Rebels trailed by 14-3 at halftime, but Bo Wallace threw three second-half touchdown passes to pull out the victory, his 34-yarder to Vince Sanders with 5 minutes 29 seconds left tying the score at 17-17. After Ole Miss recovered a fumble on the ensuing kickoff, Wallace connected with Jaylen Walton for a 10-yard score with 2:54 left to put the Rebels ahead, 23-17. Alabama blocked the extra-point attempt, giving the Crimson Tide some hope. But cornerback Senquez Golson sealed the Rebels’ victory, intercepting a Blake Sims pass in the back of the end zone with 37 seconds remaining. “The feeling is indescribable right now,” Golson said, adding, “We played an incredible game.” Ole Miss’s third-year coach, Hugh Freeze, said on his postgame radio show, “It’s one of the greatest victories in the history of our school.” There have been games in Mississippi with more at stake, like the 2003 showdown in which Eli Manning and the Rebels lost to Louisiana State, 17-14, in what amounted to an SEC West championship game. But there has never been a fall Saturday in Mississippi quite like this one, with two games of this magnitude played back to back, separated by 100 miles of countryside. “I really do think it’s the biggest college football Saturday we’ve ever had in Mississippi,” said Rick Cleveland, a former sportswriter and editor who is now the executive director of the Mississippi Sports Hall of Fame. The buildup began when Mississippi State upset L.S.U. on Sept. 20. When Ole Miss beat Memphis on Sept. 27 to move to 4-0 for the first time since 1970, the stage was set for a block party the likes of which Oxford and Starkville rarely see.

Chicago was incorporated as a city in 1837, near a portage between the Great Lakes and the Mississippi River watershed. The most important places to visit in Chicago are: Willis Tower (formerly known as the Sears Tower, this iconic symbol of Chicago was the world's tallest building when it was built), Millennium Park (a great urban park, among the most famous landmarks of Chicago and a site for many major city events), Shedd Aquarium (one of the world's largest aquariums. It displays an impressive array of animals), Grant Park (called the front lawn of Chicago, the park is wonderfully landscaped and offers many sites for an urban escape), Navy Pier (situated right on Lake Michigan, the Pier has a festive atmosphere with entertainment, shops and restaurants) and many more. Travel video about nature park Mississippi Swamps in the USA. New Orleans is synonymous with good food, jazz and Mardi Gras and it was here that history was created: founded by France, conquered by Spain, bought by President Jefferson and occupied by theYankees! New Orleans also possesses the second largest harbour in the USA and even today they shout, „Full speed ahead!“ as paddle steamers negotiate ‘Ol Man River’, the grand waters of the Mississippi that flow to the Mississippi Swamps. The Swamps are extensive and only experienced boatmen can find their way around the mass of main and side tributaries as it’s easy to become disorientated, sight of the sky often being lost due to the density of the trees. In the past 5,000 years the Mississippi had seven different deltas prior to it being reinforced by embankments. When dykes strengthened the river, some side channels remained and these are the famous small rivers known as the Bayous, a labyrinth of small tributaries and waterways ‚Cowens’ is the name of the oldest life form in the swamp, a turtle that grows to about 10 to 25 centimetres long and feeds mainly on small fish and aquatic animals. Almost 30,000 hectares of swampland have been declared a nature reserve in which the complex balance between salt and freshwater reigns supreme and, when viewed from above, has the appearance of a strange network of city streets. The Delta area provides ideal conditions for many feathered species, including around four million ducks and also the national symbol of the USA, the white-headed sea eagle and the variety of animals living in this region, most notably the alligator, is also vast and includes beaver and racoon. The wonderful world of the Swamps with their legends and myths draw the traveller under their spell, a bewitching labyrinth of infinite waterways each one holding a special fascination. The allure of Nature is surely as puzzling as the innermost secrets of the Mississippi Swamps!

Travel video about destination New Orleans in the United States of America. A fun-filled metropolis at the mouth of the Mississippi, New Orleans is a cultural melting pot and the birth place of jazz. In 1682, the Frenchman Robert Cavalier, declared this Mississippi region to be French territory and named it ‘La Louisiana’. However, Napoleon later accepted $15 million from President Jefferson and in 1840, it was the fourth largest city in the U.S.A. The Garden District is a sought-after residential area in which there is an abundance of magnolia trees, palms, shrubs and flowers. The city’s largest graveyard, the Metairie Cemetery, has over 7,000 graves and an array of spectacular mausoleums which astound the eye.Gumbo Soup, Jambalaya, Hurricane Cocktails and Dixie Beer are just a few of the traditional refreshments on offer in this carefree, non-stop city. Just outside the city, there are the swampy bayous alive with many exotic species. The Oak Valley Plantations, whose great wealth derived from the sugar cane industry prior to the American Civil War, part of which is reminiscent of some of the scenery from Hollywood’sGone With The Wind.In the 19th Century, New Orleans was North American capital of the Voodoo cult and today, it is a city of unique atmospheres, flavors, contrasts and Mardi Gras, an extraordinary city!

Big News Network 2015-04-19Mississippi (i/ˌmɪsɨˈsɪpi/) is a U.S. state located in the Southern United States. Jackson is the state capital and largest city. The name of the state derives from the Mississippi River, which flows along its western boundary, whose name comes from the Ojibwe word misi-ziibi ("Great River"). Mississippi is the 32nd most extensive and the 31st most populous of the 50 United States. The state is heavily forested outside of the Mississippi Delta area, which was cleared for cotton cultivation in the 19th century. Today, its catfish aquaculture farms produce the majority of farm-raised catfish consumed in the United States. The state symbol is the magnolia grandiflora tree.
Mississippi is bordered on the north by Tennessee, on the east by Alabama, on the south by Louisiana and a narrow coast on the Gulf of Mexico and on the west, across the Mississippi River, by Louisiana and Arkansas.
In addition to its namesake, major rivers in Mississippi include the Big Black River, the Pearl River, the Yazoo River, the Pascagoula River, and the Tombigbee River. Major lakes include Ross Barnett Reservoir, Arkabutla Lake, Sardis Lake and Grenada Lake. The largest lake in Mississippi is Grenada Lake.
Every step of the way, we walk the line
Your days are numbered, so are mine
Time is piling up, we struggle and we stray
We're all boxed in, nowhere to escape
City's just a jungle, more games to play
Trapped in the heart of it, tryin' to get away
I was raised in the country, I been working in the town
I been in trouble ever since I set my suitcase down
Got nothing for you, I had nothing before
Don't even have anything for myself anymore
Sky full of fire, came pouring down
Nothing you can sell me, I'll see you around
All my powers of expression and thoughts so sublime
Could never do you justice in reason or rhyme
Only one thing I did wrong
Stayed in Mississippi a day too long
Well, the devil's in the alley, mule's in the stall
Say anything you wanna, I have heard it all
I was thinking about the things that Rosie said
I was dreaming I was sleeping in Rosie's bed
Walking through the leaves, falling from the trees
Feeling like a stranger nobody sees
So many things that we never will undo
I know you're sorry, I'm sorry too
Some people will offer you their hand and some won't
Last night I knew you, tonight I don't
I need something strong to distract my mind
I'm gonna look at you 'til my eyes go blind
Well I got here following the southern star
I crossed that river just to be where you are
Only one thing I did wrong
Stayed in Mississippi a day too long
Well my ship's been split to splinters and it's sinking fast
I'm drowning in the poison, got no future, got no past
But my heart is not weary, it's light and it's free
I've got nothing but affection for all those who sailed with me
Everybody's moving, if they ain't already there
Everybody's got to move somewhere
Stick with me baby, stick with me anyhow
Things should start to get interesting right about now
My clothes are wet, tight on my skin
Not as tight as the corner that I painted myself in
I know that fortune is waiting to be kind
So give me your hand and say you'll be mine
Well, the emptiness is endless, cold as the clay
You can always come back, but you can't come back all the way
Only one thing I did wrong
Starting out of Memphis, highway 61
Traces of the places where the blues began
Sun is blazing, horizon far
Echoes of a national steel guitar

I'm big and proud all over
Not just on the stage
My secret self has many sides
That laugh and crush and sting
I'm red and thick like fire
I like it from behind
Round and Round and
Red to white
I'm pure and sad and silent
I know I've got a piece of my heart
On the sole of your shoe
I've got a little bit of thunder
Trapped inside of a cloud
The dog in you
Spit me out into the mississippi
Who can love my many selves
The wife, the bitch, the rapunzel
The one who cries
And calls for you
The one who is always alone
I know I've got a piece of my heart
On the sole of your shoe
I've got a little bit of thunder
Trapped inside of a cloud
The dog in you
Spit me out into the mississippi
Oh mississippi
Come and wash my pain away
Oh mississippi
Come and take my pain away
I feel I'm drowning
I feel I'm drowning
I feel I'm
I feel I'm
Dying
I know I've got a piece of my heart
On the sole of your shoe
I've got a little bit of thunder
Trapped inside of a cloud
The dog in you

Holdin' onto a hundred dollar bill
Dressed herself like a Cajun Queen in New Orleans, baby
Yeah, she looked good, like a lady
Do it to me, James

And the Mississippi River runs like molasses in the summertime
And me, you know, I don't hardly mind
Sippin' on a beer in Bourbon Street and I'm sittin' easy
Don't get me wrong, it takes a lot to please me
Have a seat an' take a load off your feet, and she said "Yes"
So I said, "I like your dress"
Swamps all around make ya feel kinda funny, don't they, honey
She crossed her legs and looked at me funny

I ain’t never seen the snowfall on the Delta
Like the one that’s gonna cover all of New York tonight
But it sure do remind me of those miles and miles of cotton
Long ago but not forgotten, yeah, that’s a southern man’s field of white
Yeah, I turned my back and walked away
But lately I ain’t seen a sunny day
Been thinking ‘bout rolling on back home
Back where I belong
So won’t you put me on that riverboat Queen
Let the side wheels spin
‘Cause I ain’t seen that muddy water town in I cant remember when
All these years they played a trick on me
No, I ain’t the man I used to be
Tonight I feel like Mississippi
People round here, Lord they move in such a pace
I’m just another face, lost in the crowd
There’s a sweet sound being sung down in Dixie
Now and again it gets me when I get to feeling down
Yeah, I turned my back and walked away
But lately I ain’t seen a sunny day
Been thinking ‘bout rolling on back home
Back where I belong
So won’t you put me on that riverboat Queen
Let the side wheels spin
‘Cause I ain’t seen that muddy water town in I cant remember when

All night long I've pleaded and cried
You always said the day that you would leave
Would be a cold day in July
Your bags are packed not a word is spoken
I guess we said everything with good-bye
Time moves so slow and promises get broken
On this cold day in July
Sun's comin' up comin' up down on Main Street
Children shout as they're running out to play
Head in my hands here I am
Standing in my bare feet
Watching you drive away
Watching you drive away
You said that we were gonna last forever
You said our love would never die
It looks like spring and
It feels like sunny weather
But it's a cold day in July
Sun's comin' up comin' up down on Main Street
Children shout as they're running out to play
Head in my hands here I am
Standing in my bare feet
Watching you drive away

They call her Mississippi
But she don't flow to me
Spends her light on the Bayou
But she don't come to see
She's the one that makes my dreams
They call her Mississippi
But she don't flow to me
The shape of her horizon
Makes the morning sun
When she puts her eyes on
Each and anyone
She's the one that makes me fall
Midnight moon shines through it all
She's the one that makes me fall
Midnight moon shines through it all
She's the one that makes my dreams
They call her Mississippi
But she don't flow to me
They call her Mississippi
Nashville sky, in the morning sun
Somewhere up north, a new life begun
He was drawn to the twister, with a Memphis sound
Kissed by an Angel, of a music town.
Jump a train from Chicago, trace it back
With the neck of a bottle, and the groove of the tracks
Spend your life running, that Angels sweet sound
Chasing the ghosts, of a faraway town.
Oh Mississippi, running through my veins
Oh Mississippi, never the same again.

Mississippi
ich will bei dir sein.
Du hast so vieles schon geseh'n
kannst es sicher gut versteh'n
wenn meine Träume mit dir geh'n.
Mississ:ipp:i
du bleibst niemals steh'n.
Ewig ist dein Wellenspiel
Mississippi
bis an's Ziel
begleitet dich mein Traum.
Irgendwann wird diese Nacht zu Ende geh'n
nur Erinnerung daran bleibt noch besteh'n
und auch die Melodie wird bald verklingen
Well I dearly love my home but
She never looked so good to me
Blue skies and dragonflies
Muddy creek Lord set me free
Good things are going on
there in Mississippi
She made me feel good
there in Mississippi
Folks smiling and saying hey
In my car as I'm passing by
And I can smell those barbeque grills
firing on the fourth of July
Good things are going on
there in Mississippi
She made me feel good
there in Mississippi
Good things are going on
there in Mississippi
She made me feel good
there in Mississippi
Everybody moving everybody grooving
everybody letting it all get loose
Saw all them colors in the black room.
Heard all 'em moving ridin' black light.
Saw all them colors in the black room.
Ride far away in the black night.
Next day come said t'were thunder shook the rockin'

So give me your hand and say you'll be mine
The emptiness is endless
Cold as clay
You can always come back
But you can't come back all the way
Well there's only one thing that I did wrong
I stayed in Mississippi a day too long
Yeah the only thing that I did wrong
Was stayed in Mississippi a day too long
The only thing that I did wrong
Where you can hear a country song for fun
And someone plays the honky tonk guitar
Where all the lights will go out one by one
Where people join the song and the wind takes it away
Where the Misissippi rolls down to the sea
And lovers found the place they like to be
How many times before this song was ending
Love and understanding everywhere around
Mississippi I'll remember you
Whenever I shall go away I'll be longing for the day
That I will be in Greenville again
Mississippi you'll be on my mind
Every time I hear this song Mississippi roll along
Until the end of time
[ steel ]
Now the country song forever lost it's soul
When the guitar picker turned to rock'n roll
And everytime when summer nights are falling
I always will be calling dreams of yesterday
Beggars can't be choosers
But I choose to be a beggar
So I'm always on the move
my heart is always on the mend
Hailstorms, rain, and snow, I go
No hurricane can stop me, no
It's up and over and back down home again
We played Memphis last night,
It was fine
Next stop on the tour
is bound to hold my peace of mind
Oh, It always puts
A smile on my face and it's the
first time I've been back here since
the last time that I came
And I think you're really pretty
and that's all I'm gonna say
Did you miss me?
Did you miss me, Mississippi?
Would you kiss me if I stayed?
That house was built before
the first world war
and I can see her now
standing on the porch
that baby boy's daddy's
going to fight and
She hopes and prays
that he'll come home
and they'll be happy and lord,
Lord, I pray that she's right
Wind's blowin' thru the trees
Oh, it feels like heaven's breathin' down on me
Oh, It always puts
A smile on my face and it's the
first time I've been back here since
the last time that I came
and that's all I'm wanna say
Did you miss me?
Did you miss me, Mississippi?
Would you kiss me if I stayed?
Oh, no, yeah
I have to leave you in the morning
That old 55 to 12
But I'll be back again
before the leaves turn orange
So, I'll say goodbye for now
Oh, It always puts
A smile on my face and it's the
first time I've been back here since
the last time that I came
And I think you're really pretty
and that's all I'm gonna say
Did you miss me?
Oh, It always puts
A smile on my face and it's the
first time I've been back here since
the last time that I came
And I think you're really pretty
and that's all I'm wanna say
Did you miss me?
Did you miss me, Mississippi?
Would you kiss me if I stayed?
Oh, oh, oh,
Oh, my god
da, da, da, da, da, da
oh, no, no
Ohhhhhhhh...
No, no, no
Na, na, na, na
