About a month ago I got a mount for my camera to use in my car.
However, I never really had the opportunity to use it because most of my travels is at night (leisure travel, not work).
Finally traveled during the day, and this video is the Gulf Freeway going north, then going east on I-610, then turning onto I-10 east.

Well, this is a video from yours truly. Please excuse the loud music, I do apologize for it. Also for the video quality. I use my phone as a dash cam. But I was on my way to work Tuesday and a Genius in a Silver Ford Fusion was a bit more irritated about slow moving RIGHT LANE traffic, so he decides to cut a guy off, ride someones tail, then move into the shoulder to get past the Cab in the right hand lane. I guess he didn't realize if he would have waited a few more seconds he could have simply made one lane change instead of being a moron and driving on the shoulder. Seriously? THAT IMPATIENT?! And if you are wondering who the song is by it is the song is " Never Alone" by The Amity Affliction. A song in which I do not own any rights to.

Fact the the Gulf Freeway was the 1st built Freeway in Houston, I believe the 1st section opened in 1948 and by 1952, was a completed divided highway all the to Galveston.

Originating with a mid-morning fire on board the French-registered vessel SS Grandcamp (docked in the port), her cargo of approximately 2,300 tons (approximately 2,100 metric tons) of ammonium nitrate detonated,[1] with the initial blast and subsequent chain-reaction of further fires and explosions in other ships and nearby oil-storage facilities killing at least 581 people, including all but one member of the Texas City fire department. The disaster triggered the first ever class action lawsuit against the United States government, under the then-recently enacted Federal Tort Claims Act (FTCA), on behalf of 8,485 victims.
The Grandcamp was a recently re-activated 437-foot-long (133 m) Liberty ship. Originally named the SS Benjamin R. Curtis in Los Angeles in 1942, the ship served in the Pacific theatre and was mothballed in Philadelphia after World War II. In a Cold War gesture, the ship was assigned to the French Line to assist in the rebuilding of Europe. Along with ammonium nitrate—a very common cargo on the high seas—it was carrying small arms ammunition, machinery, and bales of sisal twine on the deck. Another ship in the harbor, the SS High Flyer, was docked about 600 feet (200 m) away from the SS Grandcamp. The High Flyer contained an additional 961 short tons (872 metric tons) of ammonium nitrate[1] and 1,800 short tons (1,600 metric tons) of sulfur. The ammonium nitrate in the two ships and fertilizer in the adjacent warehouse was on its way to farmers in Europe. The Grandcamp had arrived from Houston, where the port authority did not permit loading of ammonium nitrate.
The disaster gained attention from the national media. Offers of assistance came in from all over the country. Several funds were established to handle donations, particularly the Texas City Relief Fund, created by the city's mayor Curtis Trahan.[8] One of the largest fundraising efforts for the city and the victims of the disaster was organized by Sam Maceo, one of the two brothers who ran organized crime in Galveston at the time. Maceo organized a large-scale benefit on the island featuring some of the most famous entertainers of the time including Phil Harris, Frank Sinatra, and Ann Sheridan.[9][10] In the end, the Texas City Relief Fund raised more than $1 million ($11.3 million in today's terms).
