Apple's Watch may be one of the most-anticipated products of recent years. Now it's here and Apple's simply calling it Apple Watch. It will be available in early 2015, starting at $349. Apple's first wearable device will come in two sizes (38mm and 42mm) in three "collections," including a more durable Sport model and a high-end Apple Watch Edition, which is finished in 18K gold. Six different bands will be available, some in multiple color options. All the watches have touch-screen displays and come equipped with a flexible Retina Display (with laminated crystal of sapphire), a "digital crown," along with infrared LEDs and photo diodes that take your pulse and "turn movement into data." Apple calls it a "Comprehensive health and fitness device." The watch runs on a brand-new S1 processor, is equipped with a gyro accelerometer and can piggyback off the Wi-Fi and GPS on your phone. You press down on the crown to get to the home screen. The watch will take dictation, and offers very precise synchronized time to plus or minus 50 milliseconds.- published: 11 Sep 2014

But there's a problem, at least for Apple. How does it preserve profit margins? While the Apple car could carry a premium, the profit margins would likely be lower. The way around that margin issue could look like this: A subscription model. Or, in automotive terms, it's the rent-a-car deal. Fiona Apple McAfee Maggart (born September 13, 1977) is an American singer-songwriter and pianist. Apple met international acclaim for her 1996 debut album, Tidal, which was a critical and commercial success. At the age of nineteen she received a Grammy Award for Best Female Rock Vocal Performance for the single "Criminal" from that album in 1998.
After Tidal, Apple released the critically acclaimed, though less commercially successful albums, When the Pawn... (1999) and Extraordinary Machine (2005). A perceived shelving of Extraordinary Machine was met with vocal protests from her fans, who campaigned against her record label in 2005. Apple's musical style contains elements of jazz and alternative rock.
Born in New York City, Apple is the daughter of singer Diane McAfee and actor Brandon Maggart. Her older sister, Amber, sings cabaret under the stage name Maude Maggart. Her half brother Spencer is a director and directed the video for her single "Parting Gift." Her half brother Garett Maggart starred in the TV series The Sentinel. In addition, her maternal grandparents were Millicent Green, a dancer with the George White's Scandals, a series of 1920s musical revues similar to the Ziegfeld Follies, and Johnny McAfee, a multireedist and vocalist of the big band era; her grandparents met while touring with Johnny Hamp and his orchestra.
