Thunderhead by Tina Havelock Stevens: An artist-led audio tour
Tina Havelock Stevens | THUNDERHEAD
Presented in association with Perth Festival
Ground Floor Galleries, 8 February – 22 March 2020
Tina Havelock Stevens’ works encourage an experience of the world that is attuned to emotional responses, to the rhythm and movement of structures and environments that we inhabit and traverse. She brings together her energy and drive as a drummer and performer with the inquiry and observation of her experience as a documentary film-maker. Present in her works is an innate aural and visual intuition. They offer the experience of suspended time, gauging the cerebral temperature and tempo of passing moments.

Tina Havelock Stevens, Ghost Class, 2015 (short excerpt)
Presented as part of Hope in the Dark, a street-facing exhibition in the windows at Gertrude Contemporary and the window vitrine at Gertrude Glasshouse. Exploring ideas of confusion, resignation and anxiety offset with humour, hope and resilience, these gestures offer an opportunity for a bit of aesthetic and comic relief while we collectively #stayhome.

Tina Havelock Stevens Thank You For Holding @ Carriageworks - Saturday 23rd January 2021
Dulcineasdiarycontinued - I wanted to video Duba but unfortunately no photography or videoing is allowed inside this immersive art installation so instead I am uploading another free art installation which I viewed very briefly before seeing Duba. I don't know anything about this artist and it was just a very heavy drumming session projected in large format on a wall inside a relatively sound proof room . At the entrance there is a volume warning . Part of Sydney Festival it was another feee art installation. Enjoy.
