Subscribe to VICE News here: http://bit.ly/Subscribe-to-VICE-News Since Israel's inception, the Haredi — ultra-Orthodox adherents of Judaism —have been exempt from the country's military conscription laws. But their growing population, coupled with their high unemployment rate and dependence on state benefits, sparked outrage within the country's secular majority. After years of demanding that the Haredi share the responsibility of serving in the armed forces, the Israeli government passed an unprecedented law in March 2014 that requires Haredi men to serve in the military. The decision resulted in major opposition from the Ultra Orthodox community, from violent protests to religious leaders demanding that no one should comply. VICE News travels to Israel to speak with hardline members and leaders of the Ultra Orthodox community as well as soldiers in the Netzah Yehuda, the IDF's Ultra Orthodox Battalion, to get their take on the government's decision. "Bill O’Reilly tonight said that by not showing a willingness to say “radical Islam” in public, President Obama and those who agree with him are putting the U.S. in “grave danger.” O’Reilly claimed to know exactly why no one in the Obama administration will use that phrase in reference to the Paris attack or other acts of terrorism. He cited recent comments by WaPo columnist David Ignatius about how the real change is going to come from within Islam, not through military might or government pressure. O’Reilly said this “naive and somewhat frightening” assessment is precisely what Obama thinks."* The Young Turks host Cenk Uygur breaks it down. *Read more here: http://www.mediaite.com/tv/oreilly-obama-putting-us-in-grave-danger-by-not-saying-radical-islam/ Support TYT for FREE by doing your Amazon shopping through this link (bookmark it!) http://www.amazon.com/?tag=theyoungturks-20 ********** Fox News vs France, Mike Huckabee vs Beyonce, Aziz Ansari vs Murdoch & Right Wingers - The Young Turks 1/15/2015 News & Politics http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLTpcK80irdQgvvUFp3i8Mcoue0S-vS0GD ********** The Largest Online News Show in the World. The war in eastern Ukraine hasn't just been about territory — religion has deepened the divide. In Donetsk, Protestants are being forced to conduct their services in apartments, persecuted by pro-Russia separatists who believe there’s only room for one religion in the region: Russian Orthodoxy. VICE News correspondent Simon Ostrovsky traveled to Donetsk to attend secret Protestant churches, and spoke with members of the Donetsk People’s Republic as well as the Orthodox Church to find out whether the DPR’s vision for the rebel-controlled region includes the coexistence of religious beliefs. The Central African Republic is one of the poorest countries in the world, but it is also rich in natural resources. One of the official mining sectors has collapsed amid the country’s ongoing conflict, and now both sides are benefitting from the illicit trade of gold and diamonds. Clashes over control of the many mines have also created religious tension in places where there previously had been none. On Wednesday's Mark Levin Show: We're in a religious war throughout the Middle East and all around the world in the wake of a terrorist attack on a French magazine. Every magazine and newspaper in America should print those cartoons from Charlie Hebdo. It's time for the media and journalists to take a stand, but they're too afraid; they won't even stand up to a tyrannical president. President Obama is setting us up for a terrorist hit through a lack of border control, no profiling and an anti-cop mentality. Later, John Boehner is one of the worst speakers in American history, yet Rep. Mick Mulvaney and other Boehner supporters are slamming the conservatives who voted against Boehner. Mulvaney calls it a coup attempt and a mutiny despite 60% of Republicans wanting a different speaker. He's afraid people will think he sold out his conservative ideals by voting for Boehner - because he did. Mulvaney claimed that he voted with the group of conservatives two years ago to prevent Boehner from being Speaker, but he never voted at all. Mr. Mulvaney, you have a lot of explaining to do.

Fox News 2015-04-06A religious war (Latin: bellum sacrum) is a war caused by, or justified by, religious differences. It can involve one state with an established religion against another state with a different religion or a different sect within the same religion, or a religiously motivated group attempting to spread its faith by violence, or to suppress another group because of its religious beliefs or practices. The Crusades, the French Wars of Religion, the Muslim conquests, and the Reconquista are frequently cited historical examples.
In their Encyclopedia of Wars, authors Charles Phillips and Alan Axelrod attempt a comprehensive listing of wars in history. They document 1763 wars overall, of which 123 (7%) have been classified to involve a religious conflict. William T. Cavanaugh argues that what is termed "religious wars" is a largely Western dichotomy of different power configurations which serves a Western consumer audience.
Many wars that are considered religious wars have economic or political ramifications (land acquisition, control of trade routes, dynasty changes, etc.) that could call into question the true reasons behind the conflict. Differences in religion can further inflame a war being fought for other reasons. Historically, places of worship have been destroyed to weaken the morale of the opponent, even when the war itself is not being waged over religious ideals.[original research?]
Lindsey Olin Graham (born July 9, 1955) is the senior United States Senator from South Carolina and a member of the Republican Party. Previously he served as the United States Representative for South Carolina's 3rd congressional district.
Graham was born in Central, South Carolina, where his parents, Millie and Florence James Graham, ran a liquor store, the Sanitary Cafe. After graduating from D. W. Daniel High School, Graham became the first member of his family to attend college and joined the Reserve Officers' Training Corps. When he was 21 his mother died, and his father died 15 months later. Because his sister was left orphaned, the service allowed Graham to attend University of South Carolina in Columbia so he could be near home and care for his sister, whom he adopted. During his studies, he became a member of the fraternity Pi Kappa Phi.
Graham graduated from the University of South Carolina with a B.A. in Psychology in 1977 and from the University of South Carolina School of Law with a J.D. in 1981. Upon graduating, Graham was commissioned as an officer and judge advocate in the United States Air Force, placed on active duty and sent to Europe as a military prosecutor. He eventually entered private practice as a lawyer.
