In a press briefing organised by United States Vice President Joe Biden in honor of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, United States Secretary of State John Kerry addressed the media and said he was grateful to the Prime Minister for making this historic trip to India and that after the bilateral talks between the two nations, he was quite confident that the future diplomatic ties between the two nations will only become better. John Kerry drew analogies between the meteoric rise of the two heads of states namely Narendra Modi and Barack Obama and said he was happy to see the development of the Indian democracy which has come a long way to see a simple tea seller become the Prime Minister of one of the largest democracies of India. Even US Vice President Joe Biden expressed gratitude for Narendra Modi's visit to India and emphasized on his looking forward to a strengthened bilateral relationship between the two nations. Terming it as a perfect time to tap "incredible possibilities" between India and the US, Secretary of State John Kerry today said programmes like 'Make in India' can be a win-win situation for the entire planet. Showering fulsome praise on Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Vibrant Gujarat Summit here, Kerry also said he has been very much impressed with his 'Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas' campaign and suggested emulating this "pretty good slogan" at the global as well as at Indo-US levels. He also referred to Modi's journey "from a young man who sold tea right by the rail road here in Gujarat to the PM's residence on the Race Course Road", while talking about changing political and economic situation in India. "We join with you celebrating extraordinary new chapter of India that is being written today," he said at the biennial global business summit inaugurated this morning by Modi. On ties between the two countries, Kerry said, "The moment has never been more right to tap the incredible possibilities between India and the US." He added that the economic partnership is already getting stronger by the day. "I was very taken during PM Modi's campaign 'Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas', participation of all for development of all. That sounds like a pretty good slogan for all of us to adopt, and if we adopt it we can get the job done." "We will turn Modi's 'Make in India' initiative a win-win opportunity for the planet as a whole," he said. Kerry also said that President Barack Obama was "very excited" to be the first US President to be the chief guest at India's Republic Day celebrations later this month. "And he will the first sitting US President to visit India twice while in office," Kerry said. Referring to the terror attack in Paris last week, Kerry said no act of terror will ever stop "the march of freedom" and the entire world is with the people of France, not just in "anger and outrage" but in "solidarity and commitment" to the cause of confronting extremism. . Annual trade between goods and services between US and India has grown nearly five-fold since 2000. Bilateral FDI now stands at nearly USD 30 billion, Kerry said. "...I want to ensure that our economic relationship grows stronger in every respect. We share PM Modi's goal of increasing our countries annual trade five-fold in years ahead and we want to expand our commercial ties ...we can take this relationship to the new heights that we envision," he said. India and the US have a common responsibility, together with other country partners, to prove that democracies can deliver for their citizens, he said. Flagging concerns over climate change, Kerry said it was affecting crop production, economy and raising cost of doing business. "...belive me if it continues down the current trend line we will see climate refugees, fighting each other for water and seeking food and new opportunities," he said. Stressing sustained energy policy to fight climate change, he said India government has now committed to greatly expanding wind resources, make agricultural systems more resilient and increase its national solar mission five-fold. "Together we can create an environment where all companies play a leading role in bringing cutting edge technology, equipment and capital know-how not just to India, but countless countries that need this growth and development," he said.

Take a tour of America's Greatest Landmarks -- part of the World's Greatest Attractions travel video series by GeoBeats. I'd like to show you America's Greatest Landmarks The National Mall is known as the hub of historic activities in Washington DC. Lavishly spread across acres of green grass, this open area national park has been often used for public demonstrations, marches, rallies and concerts. The area of the park extends from the illustrious capital building to the proud Lincoln Memorial. One of the most iconic bridges in the world, The Golden Gate Bridge connects San Francisco to the tip of Marin County. This suspension bridge, completed in 1937, is also famous for its so called "International Orange" color produced by the sealant used. A dazzling approximate 118 thousand cars pass through this mighty structure every day, a testament to its impressive engineering. Shining brilliantly on New York Harbor's Liberty Island, is the Statue of Liberty. A rather generous gift from the French nation, the statue consists of a representation of the Roman Goddess of freedom clasping a torch. Arguably the most popular internationally recognizable symbol of America, it also stands as an effigy of freedom. The Mount Rushmore National Memorial is an enduring symbol of freedom and hope which graces the lands of South Dakota. Four former presidents have been elegantly carved 60 feet high into Mount Rushmore. A national treasure, the monument pays homage to George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt and Abraham Lincoln. This resplendent brick Georgian building in Philadelphia is Independence Hall. This majestic monument has witnessed many historic events in the history of United States. The signing of The Declaration of Independence and the adoption of the United States Constitution took place in this glorious structure.

In this travel video tour of Portland, Oregon, I travel to Portland, one of the most unique cities in the United States. I started my trip off by hopping off a plane and then immediately hopping onto a bus. But not just any bus, a bus operated by Brewvana Brewery Tours, the mostly women-run craft beer brewery tour company. Portland, or know as Beervana to some, is home to 55 breweries within its borders, and is truly a beer-lover's paradise. On my tour we made stops at Rogue Ales & Spirits, Laurelwood Pubic House & Brewery, Widmer Brothers Brewery and Sidecar Bar, where I had the chance to sit down over a pint with the founder and owner of Brewvana, Ashley Rose Salvitti. While in Portland, I stayed at the Tiny House Hotel, a hotel made up of, you guessed it, tiny houses. In the next portion of my video guide I give a tour of my "crib" to show what it's like to live and stay in a tiny house. Then, in an effort to get a chance to experience the famed brunch scene in Portland, I stopped in at The Tin Shed Garden Cafe, located down the street from where I was staying in the New Alberta Arts District. In the interest of learning more about food, I headed to the downtown location of the Portland Farmers Market, located in a beautiful stretch of downtown Portland. Here, I got a tour of the grounds with Mona Johnson, then had the opportunity to meet up with some of the vendors, including Matt Choi of Choi's Kimchi Company, and famed chef and artisanal pickle impresario, David Barber of Picklopolis and Bingo! Sandwiches. In need of a little peace and serenity, I then visited the Lan Su Chinese Garden, a peaceful and beautiful oasis in an otherwise busy and hectic part of downtown. When visiting Portland, there's no reason to spend all your time in the city, especially with so much to do outside the city limits. The next day I took a road trip with local Matthew Domingo to explore the Columbia River Gorge and the numerous trails and waterfalls just off the road you can check out. Then, to wrap things up, we stopped in at Hood River Organic near the riverside town of Hood River, an organic orchard and farm run by East Coast ex-pat Dan Thall, who gave us a tour of his land. Once the day ended we then headed out to happy hour at Solera Brewery in the imposing shadow of Mount Hood and then into town for a dinner featuring mushroom pizza with mushrooms Dan had grown and recently delivered to the restaurant.

Our recent week in New York City was an action-packed one. We decided to set ourselves a challenge to see and do as much as we possibly could, and that gave way to this travel video guide which highlights 50 of the top attractions. In a city like New York this means we barely scratched the surface, but hopefully this video will highlight the cornucopia of possibilities that is the Big Apple. We try our best to cover all of the top attractions including fine arts, entertainment, festivals, dining, architecture and museums as well as focusing on lesser known off the beaten path attractions to cover all forms of tourism. If you only have time to visit only one city in the United States it ought to be NYC, USA: http://nomadicsamuel.com/photo-essays/50-things-to-do-in-new-york-city 50 Things to do in New York City Top Attractions Travel Guide: 1 Grand Central Terminal 2 The High Line 3 Meatpacking District 4 Greenwich Village 5 Brooklyn Bridge 6 Williamsburg 7 Street Art in Williamsburg 8 Prospect Park 9 Dumbo 10 New York Style Pizza 11 Bryant Park 12 New York Public Library 13 Staten Island Ferry 14 Statue of Liberty 15 Battery Park 16 Little Italy 17 Little Korea 18 Chinatown 19 Coney Island 20 Mermaid Parade 21 The Cloisters 22 Harlem's Apollo Theatre 23 Soul Food in Harlem at Sylvia's 24 World Trade Center Memorial 25 Trinity Church 26 Wall Street 27 Lincoln Center 28 Ride a Bicycle 29 Watch a New York Yankees baseball game at Yankee Stadium 30 MET Museum (Metropolitan Museum of Art) 31 Flatiron Building 32 Washington Square Park 33 NYU (New York University) 34 National Museum of the American Indian 35 Museum of Natural History 36 Times Square 37 MOMA (Museum of Modern Art) 38 Roosevelt Island Tramway 39 Fifth Avenue Shopping 40 Rockefeller Center 41 Empire State Building 42 Carnegie Hall 43 Central Park 44 Strawberry Fields 45 Street Food 46 Catch a Broadway Theatre Performance 47 Madison Square Garden 48 African Burial Ground 49 Columbus Circle 50 Take the Subway Metro Most journeys begin at Penn Station or Grand Central, and if you arrive at the later you'll be wowed by the building. The Meatpacking District was once home to markets, slaughterhouses, and packaging plants, but times have changed. Today you'll find a mixture of trendy restaurants, clubs and boutiques. The Village used to be a bohemian neighborhood that drew artists and musicians, but today you're more likely to find upper middle class families living here. Completed in 1883, Brooklyn Bridge is one of the oldest suspension bridges in the United States. Williamsburg has become popular given its lower rent prices. University students and young professionals have been flocking to this part of town. You can walk along the riverfront for a great view of the Brooklyn and Manhattan Bridges and the Manhattan skyline. During the summer months, Bryant Park also becomes a popular hangout spot people looking to relax and even work on their tans. The Staten Island Ferry is free of charge and this makes it really popular with visitors who want to catch a glimpse of the Statue of Liberty from a distance. Battery Park is located on the southern tip of Manhattan. Having both lived in South Korea, we were thrilled to come across Manhattan's own Little Korea. Coney Island is all about good old fashioned fun. You can ride roller coasters, stroll down the boardwalk, enjoy some beach time, and then head over the Nathan's Famous hot dogs. The Cloisters will make you feel like you've travelled over to Europe. Central Park is massive and there are so many places to visit within its boundaries. We managed to visit Belvedere Castle, the Great Lawn, Shakespeare Garden, The Ramble, The Jackie Onassis Reservoir, the Alice in Wonderland Statue, and we still left feeling like we barely scratched the surface. Strawberry Fields is a section of Central Park dedicated to the memory of John Lennon. And that concludes a look at our very busy week in New York City. I'm still shocked we managed to cover so many attractions, but the great thing about this city is that distances aren't very long and there's always something really cool worth checking out around each corner. Have you been to New York? What are your favorite things about this city? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments section below. This is part of our Travel in the United State of America series. We're making a series of videos showcasing American culture, American arts, American foods, American cuisine, American religion and American people. http://bookinghunter.com San Antonio is the seventh most populous city in the United States of America and the second most populous city in the state of Texas, with a population of 1.3 million. It was the fastest growing of the top 10 largest cities in the United States from 2000-2010, and the second from 1990-2000. The city is located in the American Southwest, the south--central part of Texas, and the southwestern corner of an urban region known as the Texas Triangle. The most important places to visit in San Antonio are: The Alamo (one of the country's most popular attractions. The famous Battler of the Alamo was staged here in 1836), San Fernando Cathedral (a city landmark founded in 1731. It is amongst the oldest cathedrals in the United States), Mission San Jose (the queen of missions and founded in 1720. Over 300 inhabitants lived here at one time), Tower of Americas (a 750 feet tall observation tower, offers a restaurant up to and great city views), Riverwalk (a network of beautiful walkways along the San Antonio River, lined with restaurants, shops, and other attractions) and many more. If you want to save time and money, the most important San Antonio travel tip is to compare prices before booking a hotel room or a flight. John F Kerry US Secretary of State Special Address John Forbes Kerry (born December 11, 1943) is an American politician who is the 68th and current United States Secretary of State. He has served in the United States Senate, and was chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. Kerry was the candidate of the Democratic Party in the 2004 presidential election, losing to incumbent President George W. Bush. Kerry was born in Aurora, Colorado and attended boarding school in Massachusetts and New Hampshire. He graduated from Yale University class of 1966 with a political science major, and was a member of the Skull and Bones secret society. Kerry enlisted in the Naval Reserve in 1966, and during 1968–1969 served an abbreviated four-month tour of duty in South Vietnam as officer-in-charge (OIC) of a Swift Boat. For that service, he was awarded combat medals that include the Silver Star, Bronze Star, and three Purple Hearts. Securing an early return to the United States, Kerry joined the Vietnam Veterans Against the War in which he served as a nationally recognized spokesman and as an outspoken opponent of the Vietnam War. He appeared in the Fulbright Hearings before the Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs where he deemed United States war policy in Vietnam to be the cause of war crimes. After receiving his J.D. from Boston College Law School, Kerry worked as an Assistant District Attorney. He served as Lieutenant Governor of Massachusetts under Michael Dukakis from 1983 to 1985. He won the Democratic primary in 1984 for the U.S. Senate and was sworn in the following January. On the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, he led a series of hearings from 1987 to 1989 which were a precursor to the Iran–Contra affair. Kerry was reelected to additional terms in 1990, 1996, 2002, and 2008. In 2002, Kerry voted to authorize the President "to use force, if necessary, to disarm Saddam Hussein", but warned that the administration should exhaust its diplomatic avenues before launching war. In his 2004 presidential campaign, Kerry criticized George W. Bush for the Iraq War. He and his running mate Senator John Edwards lost the race, finishing 35 electoral votes behind Bush-Cheney. Subsequently, he established the Keeping America's Promise PAC. Kerry became chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee in 2009. Having been nominated by President Barack Obama to succeed outgoing Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton and then confirmed by the U.S. Senate by a vote of 94–3 on January 29, 2013, Kerry assumed the office on February 1, 2013. #2296: Marine Links Serco Visas, Base One Server To FAA PenRen Bomb And HSBC Black-Hand Clinton Snuff Plum City - (AbelDanger.net) March 13, 2015: United States Marine Field McConnell has linked Serco visas issued through a Base One Technologies' server in the Bronx to the FAA's alleged sponsorship of the war-game visa holders who bombed the Pentagon Renovation (PenRen) project on 9/11 and HSBC's Black Hand* navigators who have apparently been guiding Hillary Clinton through various pay-to-play snuff film productions around the world after the Base One server was commissioned in February 15, 1994 by then-Secretary of State Colin Powell. Black Hand* – HSBC's drug-hub navigators with a "License to Track, Film and Kill" for the City of London's Honourable Artillery Company 1537; The Master Mariners and Air Pilots (formerly GAPAN) 1929, and The Ancient and Honorable Artillery Company of Massachusetts 1638 – whose alumni include the United States' Presidents James Monroe, Chester Alan Arthur, Calvin Coolidge and John F. Kennedy and – perhaps – Barack 'Choom Gang' Obama. McConnell warns that Clinton's Wag the Dog server may have been set up as a honeypot to identify and kill any hackers before they can expose Serco's phony visa services on the Base One Technologies server in the Bronx and the Black Hand snuff-film racket which has given HSBC control of the global drug trade.

In Defence of a Rules Based Order: Transatlantic Security Cooperation in a Dangerous World Please join us for a timely discussion with the British Secretary of State for Defence, Michael Fallon, on transatlantic security cooperation and the United Kingdom’s defense policies during a time of great international uncertainty. The UK has always been the first among the United States’ most reliable partners in defending the post-World War II international order. With potentially historic parliamentary elections on the horizon, what future role will the United Kingdom play in confronting these growing challenges to international stability? What will the 2015 Strategic Defense and Security Review (SDSR) tell us about this future role? What is Whitehall’s assessment of the medium to long-term security threat emanating from Russia? How will Britain defend NATO’s strategic interests in the Mediterranean as the conflict in Libya escalates and as Russia enhances its military presence in Cyprus? From a budgetary perspective, can Britain maintain a security presence in the Asia-Pacific region while engaging in a crisis-management role in the Middle East? Introductory Remarks by: Dr. John J. 'The Road to Paris' Climate Series: The Significance of COP21 Please join us on Thursday, March 12th, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. for a public address by Secretary of State John F. Kerry on the importance of the 2015 Conference of the Parties (COP21) climate change negotiations. As the annual COP21 international climate negotiations draw near, and as the world experiences symptoms of climate change including increased precipitation, sea level rise, and heat waves, the next few months are crucial. Reducing climate pollution and transitioning to a clean-energy economy will require a global effort. Many are looking to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), an international treaty, to deliver that outcome. As the United States and key partners around the world embark on the road to Paris, the progress achieved between now and December is key to whether the world rises to the challenge of curbing climate change. Secretary Kerry will speak about the US government's clmiate efforts, place climate negotiations in a global context, and outline why climate change is a priority for the nation's chief diplomat. Please note this event is invite only and that invitations are non-transferable. Thursday, March 12th, 2015 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.

Hillary Clinton For President 2016 Hillary Diane Rodham Clinton born October 26, 1947) is a former United States Secretary of State, U.S. Senator, and First Lady of the United States. From 2009 to 2013, she was the 67th Secretary of State, serving under President Barack Obama. She previously represented New York in the U.S. Senate from 2001 to 2009. Before that, as the wife of the 42nd President of the United States, Bill Clinton, she was First Lady from 1993 to 2001. In the 2008 election, Clinton was a leading candidate for the Democratic presidential nomination. A native of Illinois, Hillary Rodham was the first student commencement speaker at Wellesley College in 1969 and earned a J.D. from Yale Law School in 1973. After a brief stint as a Congressional legal counsel, she moved to Arkansas and married Bill Clinton in 1975. Rodham cofounded Arkansas Advocates for Children and Families in 1977. In 1978, she became the first female chair of the Legal Services Corporation, and in 1979, the first female partner at Rose Law Firm. The National Law Journal twice listed her as one of the hundred most influential lawyers in America. As First Lady of Arkansas from 1979 to 1981 and 1983 to 1992 with her husband as Governor, she led a task force that reformed Arkansas's education system. During that time, she was on the board of directors of Wal-Mart and several other corporations. In 1994, as First Lady of the United States, her major initiative, the Clinton health care plan, failed to gain approval from the U.S. Congress. However, in 1997 and 1999, Clinton played a leading role in advocating the creation of the State Children's Health Insurance Program, the Adoption and Safe Families Act, and the Foster Care Independence Act. Her years as First Lady drew a polarized response from the American public. The only First Lady to have been subpoenaed, she testified before a federal grand jury in 1996 regarding the Whitewater controversy, but was never charged with wrongdoing in this or several other investigations during the Clinton presidency. Her marriage endured the Lewinsky scandal in 1998. After moving to New York, Clinton was elected the first female senator from the state; she is the only First Lady ever to have run for public office. Following the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, she supported military action in Afghanistan and the Iraq War Resolution, but subsequently objected to the George W. Bush administration's conduct of the war in Iraq. She opposed most of Bush's domestic policies. Clinton was reelected to the Senate in 2006. Running in the 2008 Democratic presidential primaries, Clinton won far more primaries and delegates than any other female candidate in American history, but narrowly lost the nomination to Obama. Selected to serve as Secretary of State by Obama, Clinton was confirmed by the Senate in January 2009, and served until February 2013. She was at the forefront of the U.S. response to the Arab Spring and advocated the U.S. military intervention in Libya. As Secretary of State, she took responsibility for security lapses related to the 2012 Benghazi attack, which resulted in the deaths of American consulate personnel, but defended her personal actions in regard to the matter. Clinton visited more countries than any other Secretary of State. She viewed "smart power" as the strategy for asserting U.S. leadership and values, by combining military power with diplomacy and American capabilities in economics, technology, and other areas. She encouraged empowerment of women everywhere and used social media to communicate the U.S. message abroad.

The United States has vowed to keep funding Afghan security forces to provide stability as foreign troops withdraw from the country. With Afghan President Ashraf Ghani enjoying a smoother relationship with Washington than his predecessor, he’s begun a five-day trip to the US. He’s hoping for a slower military pullout, and welcomed the US Secretary of State’s show of support for his struggling unity government. “I’m also pleased today to announce a new initiative for a plan to create a new development partnership, aligned with the unity government’s reform agenda. The partnership will promote Afghan self-reliance by using up to 800 million in US aid to incentivise and measure Afghan-led reform,” said Secretary of State John Kerry. High level diplomatic and defense talks are also to resume after a three year gap – much to President Ghani’s apparent appreciation. “This is a foundational relationship. And we are very proud that this relationship will be transformed into an enduring relationship.” The Afghan leader will meet President Barack Obama today and deliver speeches to Congress on Wednesday and the UN the following day. Our correspondent Stefan Grobe who was at Camp David where President Ghani began his state visit said: “Gone are the days when Washington grew exasperated with former Afghan president Karzai. More than once, Karzai had criticized the US publicly and challenged the Obama administration’s good will. The unity government of Ashraf Ghani now seems to offer a new promise for a more effective partnership with America.”

Iran would build a nuclear bomb "at their own peril" if nuclear talks with the United States and other leading countries falter, Central Intelligence Agency Director John Brennan said Sunday. "I think they realize that there's going to be tremendous costs and consequences and implications if they were to decide to go for a 'breakout,'" Brennan said on "Fox News Sunday," referring to Iran amassing enough of the materials necessary to build a nuclear bomb rather than use those materials for civil energy. "President Obama has made it very clear that we are going to prevent Iran from having that type of nuclear weapon that they may have been going on track to obtain. So if they decide to go down that route they know that they will do so at their own peril. " The United States and several other countries are working quickly to finalize a pact that would thwart Iran's nuclear ambitions, at least temporarily, and in return ease sanctions that the Middle Eastern country has faced in recent years. But Republicans in Congress as well as Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu have questioned whether Iran will uphold its end of the deal. After a day of high-level discussions with Afghanistan’s leaders here, top U.S. officials praised progress on the two countries' "revitalized partnership," announcing plans for several measures including a new development partnership as well as a goal to seek congressional funding to extend financial support for Afghanistan's military. "Today’s productive meetings underscore both the enduring nature of the U.S.-Afghan friendship and the extent to which we have grown even closer after 14 years of shared sacrifice," U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry said in a news conference at the presidential retreat in Maryland. Afghan President Ashraf Ghani and Chief Executive Abdullah Abdullah joined him in the news conference, along with Defense Secretary Ashton Carter, who cited the countries' "revitalized partnership." As evidence, Kerry introduced a new development partnership, with the U.S. providing up to $800 million to Afghanistan in an incentive-based program based on reforms and policy development. Funds would be disbursed through the Afghanistan Reconstruction Trust Fund. Kerry also said the Obama administration would ask the U.S. Congress for funding to enable funding so the Afghan National Security Force can remain at its 352,000 force level at least through fiscal year 2017. Ghani said that Afghanistan's "partnership with the United States is foundational" and thanked the U.S. for giving his country "freedom and hope." "We are delighted to have the opportunity to discuss a changing context and to be able to affirm a partnership that is based on values, respect for democratic process, electoral reforms, comprehensive reforms of the economy, governance, and related issues," Ghani said earlier. The new Afghan leader vowed to defeat Taliban insurgents seeking to overthrow his fledgling government in fighting that continues more than 13 years after the U.S. invaded Afghanistan to attack al-Qaida militants after their 2001 terrorist assault on the U.S. "Terrorism is a threat, it's evil," Ghani said as he greeted U.S. Defense Secretary Ashton Carter at the Pentagon earlier Monday. "But we the people of Afghanistan are willing to speak truth to terror by saying, 'No. You will never overwhelm us. You will never subdue us. We are going to overcome.' And in this endeavor our partnership with the United States is foundational because we will be the first line of defense for freedom globally." Kerry earlier had said the leaders would spend a "quiet, thoughtful day in an atmosphere of open discussion" to talk about the transition taking place in Afghanistan. He vowed the threat of terrorism would “never subdue” Afghans. “We are going to overcome,” Ghani told the Pentagon crowd of service members and their families. “Our partnership with the United States is foundational because we will be the first line of defense for freedom globally.” Carter stressed the importance of defeating terrorists in the southeast Asian nation to prevent future attacks against the United States. “Because just beyond these walls stands a memorial honoring all those who perished when the Pentagon was attacked on that bright, fateful day in 2001,” Carter told the crowd. More than military gains Ghani focused on more than just the fighting and military training of the U.S. forces, thanking the U.S. military members for building schools, dams and roads that have helped the nation make social and economic improvements. A touching moment came when Ghani directly addressed some individual members of the crowd. He told Reese Larson, the 9-year-old daughter of Lieutenant Lonn Larson who is currently serving in Afghanistan, to remember that her father is there to make a difference. He also brought her greetings for the 3 million Afghan girls who attend school in Afghanistan today. “Fourteen years ago, there were exactly none, so each one of them wants to entertain the hopes that you do, and your dad is making this possible,” Ghani told her. The Afghan president even thanked American taxpayers for the funding to support his country and vowed not to “be a burden.” "We do not now ask what the United States can do for us, Ghani said, echoing the words of President John F. Kennedy in his famous 1961 inaugural address. " We want to say what Afghanistan can do for itself and for the world." Ghani then left the Pentagon for Camp David, where he and Secretary Carter joined U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry and Afghan Chief Executive Abdullah Abdullah for talks on security and economic development. Speaking to president, Congress Ghani andAbdullah are meeting Tuesday with President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden, with Ghani addressing a joint meeting of Congress on Wednesday. On Thursday, the Afghan leaders head to New York for meetings with United Nations officials.

Bilateral talks between the United States and Iran resume in Switzerland today over Tehran's nuclear ambitions. US Secretary of State John Kerry hopes to break the logjam ahead of a crucial round of negotiations between Iran and six major powers later next week. He is urging the Iranian leadership to take decisions now to enable a political framework agreement for a nuclear deal that will lift UN sanctions in exchange for curbs on Tehran's nuclear programme. Kerry has criticised Republicans b… READ MORE : http://www.euronews.com/2015/03/16/us-iran-nuclear-talks-resume-in-switzerland What are the top stories today? Economic conference in Sharm El-Sheikh: speech by US Secretary of State John Kerry in 2015
John Kerry Dismantles Marco Rubio's Theory on Iran Secretary of State John Kerry shut down Sen. Marco Rubio’s (R-FL) theory that the United States purposely lacks a comprehensive strategy to defeat ISIS because it fears antagonizing the ongoing nuclear negotiations with Iran. During a tense exchange with Kerry at a Senate Foreign Relations committee on Wednesday, Rubio confronted the former Massachusetts senator. “I believe that much of our strategy with regards to ISIS is being driven by a desire not to upset Iran so they don’t walk away from the negotiating table on the deal that you’re working on,” the potential GOP presidential candidate declared. “Tell me why I’m wrong.” march 12, 2015 video
There′s a good chance U.S. Defense Secretary Ashton Carter,... and Secretary of State John Kerry,... will pay a visit to South Korea next month. According to Korea-based Yonhap News Agency on Wednesday,... both Carter and Kerry are planning to visit Seoul ahead of President Park Geun-hye′s trip to Washington this year. The report cited diplomatic sources as saying that, during his visit, Carter will most likely talk about continuing South Korea-U.S. cooperation to deter North Korean nuclear threats. Eyes are also on whether he will talk about where the U.S. stands on the issue of deploying an advanced missile defense system known as THAAD to South Korea. Kerry is also expected to discuss pending issues concerning both Seoul and Washington while he′s here.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is in Washington, where on Tuesday he will address a joint meeting of Congress and is expected to warn against a potential nuclear deal with Iran. The invitation has caused friction with the Obama Administration, but U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry sought to downplay any rift Sunday during an appearance on ABC-TV's "This Week." Secretary of State Kerry delivered a vigorous defense of Israel before the U.N. Human Rights Council, saying there is a clear "unbalanced focus" on the country. In his address in Geneva, Kerry told the council that that "no country on earth should be free from scrutiny, but neither should any country be subject to unfair or unfounded bias." A winter storm brought dangerous icy conditions to parts of the eastern U.S. that has already seen record-setting snowfall and temperatures this winter. Boston is very close to setting an all-time record.
As part of President Obama’s commitment to empower tribal nations, Secretary of the Interior Sally Jewell, on behalf of the United States, signed an historic agreement today at the Department of the Interior guaranteeing the water rights of the Shoshone-Paiute Tribes in Nevada and ensuring water supplies and facilities for their Duck Valley Reservation. Joining Secretary Jewell in a signing ceremony were Shoshone-Paiute Chairman Lindsey Manning, other members of the tribal business council, and other state and federal officials.

noodls 2015-04-04The United States of America (commonly abbreviated to the United States, the U.S., the USA, America, and the States) is a federal constitutional republic comprising fifty states and a federal district. The country is situated mostly in central North America, where its forty-eight contiguous states and Washington, D.C., the capital district, lie between the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans, bordered by Canada to the north and Mexico to the south. The state of Alaska is in the northwest of the continent, with Canada to the east and Russia to the west, across the Bering Strait. The state of Hawaii is an archipelago in the mid-Pacific. The country also possesses several territories in the Pacific and Caribbean.
At 3.79 million square miles (9.83 million km2) and with over 312 million people, the United States is the third or fourth largest country by total area, and the third largest by both land area and population. It is one of the world's most ethnically diverse and multicultural nations, the product of large-scale immigration from many countries. The U.S. economy is the world's largest national economy, with an estimated 2011 GDP of $15.1 trillion (22% of nominal global GDP and over 19% of global GDP at purchasing-power parity). Per capita income is the world's sixth-highest.
Secretary of State or State Secretary is a commonly used title for a senior or mid-level post in governments around the world. The role varies between countries, and in some cases there are multiple Secretaries of State in the Government.
In many countries, a Secretary of State is a mid-level post. It is usually a politically appointed position, although in some countries, such as Germany and Sweden, it can be filled by a member of the executive bureaucracy (civil service) as a political appointment. In the Holy See, there is one Secretary of State, who coordinates all the departments of the Roman Curia (that is, equivalent to a Prime Minister). In the United Kingdom a Secretary of State is a member of the Cabinet appointed by the Queen on the advice of the Prime Minister (that is, equivalent to a Minister). In the federal government of the United States of America, there is one Secretary of State, the most senior political appointee responsible for foreign policy (that is, equivalent to a Foreign Minister).
John Forbes Kerry (born December 11, 1943) is the senior United States Senator from Massachusetts, the 10th most senior United States Senator and chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. He was the presidential nominee of the Democratic Party in the 2004 presidential election, but lost to then President George W. Bush.
The son of an Army Air Corps serviceman, Kerry was born in Aurora, Colorado. He attended boarding school in Massachusetts and New Hampshire and went on to graduate from Yale University class of 1966, where he majored in political science. He enlisted in the Naval Reserve in 1966 and, during 1968-1969, served a four-month tour of duty in South Vietnam as officer-in-charge (OIC) of a Swift Boat. For that service he was awarded several combat medals that include the Silver Star, Bronze Star, and three Purple Hearts. After returning to the United States, Kerry joined the Vietnam Veterans Against the War in which he served as a nationally recognized spokesperson and as an outspoken opponent of the Vietnam war. During that period, he appeared before the Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs where he deemed United States war policy in Vietnam to be the cause of "war crimes".
I've forgotten the name of the father.
Forgotten the name of the son.
When I look to their use of the holy ghost,
I think they should fear what's to come.
I've invited the sins of the flesh, I've decidedly taken them in.
When I look to my soul, I don't find it a hole,
but I admit it looks a bit thin.
In this united state.
I have stolen the bread from the alter,
I have tempted the fingers of fate.
I have spit on the grave of the land of the brave
and look to a new united state.
I have pulled the wings off of remembrance,
I have since set alight to the past.
No more wet in these eyes for the lazy,
their head in the sand as the world kicks their ass.
In this united...
Through the cinders I since the horizon,
through the embers the body has stirred.
The end of the world having since come
and gone without whispering so much as a word.
As the sun sends the century packing,
as the dawn threatens not a clean slate.
No where, no way to get back,
and no chance of crashing the gate.
Guess you'll have to take a part in your own fate.
I've bled a fortune worth of lies,
I've caused a wealth of heartfelt pain,
I stand here cold with searing eyes,
look to the sky to bring the rain,
I hold my hoping out of sight,
I hold my doubt between my teeth,
The years catching up to the right,
Make an amendment to the constitution
To preserve the state of our union
Stop believing what you say to me
There's a tragic gap in credibility
When the light is gone from your eyes
And re-entry may be denied
Do I want to expatriate
Or I, I live in the United State
Inflationary insecurity
'Cause a love ain't worth as much as it used to be
Clean break, running away
Should I work it out some way
When the light is gone from your eyes
And re-entry may be denied
Do I want to expatriate
Or I, I live in the United State
Watch the tress in the wind when it's starting to blow
Is the reason to leave, is it treason to go
Just appeasing you is the wrong thing, I know
Break away
When the light is gone from your eyes
And re-entry may be denied
Do I want to expatriate
Or I, I live in the United State
The light is gone from your eyes
'Cause the light is gone from your eyes
When the light is gone from your eyes
And re-entry may be denied
Do I want to expatriate
I live in the United State
I can't live, can't live, can't live, can't live in the United State
United State can't live, can't live, can't live in the United State
United State I can't live in the United State
United State I can't live in the United State
No can't, can't, can't, can't in United State
Can't live in the United State, in the United State
