Amir ibn Fuhayra (عامر بن فهيرة) was among the slaves freed by Abu Bakr and was a sahaba (companion) of Mohammed.
He helped Muhammad and Abu Bakr during the Hijrah by herding his sheep all the way up to mount Thawr so the tracks they had left in the sand had been covered by the goat tracks.
He was amongst the 70 Quraa sent to teach Banu Lihyan, but they betrayed and killed them all.
