Let's Meet Dr Zakir Naik, An Interview by Roger Nygard 5 april 2014
Dr. Zakir Naik with Shaharukh Khan, Soha Ali khan, karan Johar, Kabir Khan, Maulana Mehmood Madni and with some others invited by NDTV 24 by 7 in the Show of Barkha Dutt on Topic MUSLIM IDENTITY.
FULL VERSION of 7th March, 2009 NDTV 24 x 7 'Walk The Talk' . Dr. Zakir Naik, founder and President of the IRF, Islamic Research Foundation, speaks to Shekhar Gupta. (Part-1) ... Presented by 'Muslim Community' - A Social Network for Muslims. http://worldofislam.ning.com * * *
Exclusive interview by Dr. Zakir Naik regarding exclusion from entering UK by Britain's Home Secretary Theresa May. Appeal: Please register your protest by sending emails and letters to U.K. High Commission condemning the UK Home department for their decision to exclude Dr. Zakir Naik to enter U.K & canceling his Visa. For more information please log on to: http://www.zakirnaikexclusion.com/ MOCKERY OF FREEDOM OF EXPRESSION This is with reference to an exclusion order issued to Dr Zakir Naik by the British Home Office, UK Border Agency, dated 16th June 2010. Dr Zakir Naik, the illustrious and eminent speaker from Mumbai, India, is respected and revered throughout the world for his enlightening and convincing efforts promoting similarities between major faiths based on converging values for a common platform of Peace, using the binding commonalities that exist between the religious scriptures including the Bible, Vedas, Torah and Glorious Qur'an. Following on from recent malicious and specious reports in the British media about the work of Dr Zakir Naik, we are disappointed to learn the British Government has decided to exclude him from visiting the United Kingdom to conduct a Peace Conference Tour between 25th-27th June 2010. It is deeply regrettable the British Government has bowed to pressure from sectarian and Islamophobic pressure groups by preventing the entry of Dr Zakir Naik, who has been visiting and delivering talks in the United Kingdom for the past 15 years. In the wake of these inaccurate press reports, Dr Zakir Naik issued a press release in the United Kingdom dated 11th June 2010 which is attached herewith. The exclusion order issued by the Secretary of Home Department UK, appears to rely mainly on the following four extracts from various talks by Dr Zakir Naik which they found objectionable; As a student of comparative religion, Dr Zakir Naik has worked tirelessly for the common good amongst people of all faiths engaging in constructive debate and dialogue. These discussions have been hugely successful and have resulted in much progress towards a better understanding of Islam as well as enhanced harmony between people of different beliefs, dispelling fears, suspicions and misunderstandings. Dr Zakir Naik is undoubtedly an opponent of terrorism and as such has often spoken out against all acts of violence and violent extremism. He has emphatically and unequivocally condemned the killing of civilians and is one of the world's regular noted orators on this topic. In the wake of the exclusion order and based on legal advice, Dr Zakir Naik intends to bring the matter before the High Court of the United Kingdom and request a Judicial Review to have the exclusion order overturned. We would request the Indian authorities to engage with and make representations to the British Government about the excellent services and work of Dr Zakir Naik in promoting Peace and social harmony worldwide. We would propose the Indian Government to encourage the British Home Office to revoke the exclusion order and permit the Peace Conference Tour to continue as scheduled, whilst upholding the values of freedom and justice. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DvUseEdYXSo Sikhism, A View of the Sikh Religion Podcast 1 of 7 Sri Guru Gobind Singh in his childhood sacrificed the life of his own father to save Hindu religion's existence. Your Highness saved sufferers from the tyrannies of evil-doers. But it's immensely regretting how fake Sikhs are today doing otherwise; they are not only forcing Hindus for religion conversion, but Hindus are so tired of their tortures that they are ending their lives by self-immolation and such other shocking ways. It shows Sikhism vanished from today's Sikhs. No Sikh teaching allows them to harass and torture their fellow beings. Guru Gobind Singh Ji extended love and affections to all, but today fake Sikh calling themselves Guru Gobind Singh's disciples are bent on ending the very godly attribute i.e. 'love'. They have gone far from Guru's teaching 'Ek Pita Ekas ke Hum Barik'. They are turning mad and violent like a beast. Guru Gobind Singh Ji based Sikh religion in face of torments but today the disobedient Sikhs are inflicting tortures and victimizing poor and innocents. Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji motivated to establish Gurudwaras so that peace loving people may visit them and can get the same, but today in those Gurudwaras conspiracies as to how we can kill dera followers, innocent common people, are being hatched. Doing so, they are putting stains on the piousness of those sacred places. Sri Guru Gobind Singh preached them to pray like this, "Nimaniya de maan, Nioteyan di aot v Nipate di pat" means "Help to helpless, Shelter to shelterless" but today they are inflicting torments to the innocents (Nimane) and making shelterless to the sheltered. Sikhism gave the symbol 'Ek Aunkar' means God is One so that God's oneness is reminded and oneness of all is set in mind. But some of foremen of religion raised condemnable objection to remove it from certain places as they assert this symbol belongs to them and only them. Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji incarnated to link man with man and then to God but these fake Sikhs calling themselves his disciples are set to disallow man from putting the Holy Symbol 'Ek Aunkar' at certain places and discontinue the use of his preaching outside Sikh religion. Guru Gobind Singh asked Sikhs to direct man to God, which is possible by following the teachings of Gurus, but evil-doers, fake Sikhs, are to confine Sikh teachings to themselves and hence attempting to disband man from Superman, Supreme Power. Dera Guru Saint Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji tendered apology thrice in order to avoid confrontation between human beings, but Akal Takht under the pressure of those evil-minded people rejected the apology and prolonged the unfortunate controversy to bring loss of lives and property and put the country in boil. When Dera Guru tendered apology to Guru Gobind Singh Ji Akal Takht rejected it. Are they (Fake Sikhs) superior to Guru Gobind Singh? Never. Oh Lord, please give these stupid Sikhs sense to follow your teachings so that they will discontinue victimizing innocents and can save themselves from your wrath. Sikhism, A View of the Sikh Religion Podcast 4 of 7 Sri Guru Granth Sahib(SGGS) is Sikh religion's holy book. Sikhs venerate it as a living God, as its contents are just Godly thoughts. The worship rituals are similar in all religions. The congregation listens to holy scriptures, recited in a pleasant tone or accompanied by music. A religious activity is integration of 3 stages: reading/listening to scriptures, understanding scriptures, and finally implementing the religious guidelines in our daily behaviour. Understanding scriptures 90 % of devotees, who read/listen the religious scriptures, don't understand the scriptures fully. There are two reasons: (a) The congregation may or may not understand the message, as it is in vintage-language - 400 years old to few thousand years old, and (b) The devotees are not familiar with the holy book's language. A non-Arabic speaking Muslim finds it difficult to understand Quran, written in Arabic language. Gita, the holy book of Hindus is in Sanskrit, which is not a current language in common usage. Even if a devotee understands the religious scriptures, the real goal is still far away. He has to abide by religious principles in his daily behaviour. Ten Commandments in Bible tell us the path of life. It means we have to inculcate: humility, kindness, spirit of sacrifice, and truthfulness. It also implies, we have to discard: anger, hatred, violence and attachment. The message is: "Inculcate the Godly traits and discard the devilish traits." Introducing Sikhism through Kabir SGGS, the Sikh holy book has 'psalms' written by Hindu and Muslim saints. Saint Kabir explains the mystery of life(page 1123), as follows: 1. Let my mind be trained to treat equally: (a) Praise or Slander, and (b) Gold or Iron. It is a big idea. How can we tame the mind? It is not easy. We are all happy and excited over a good news and feel sad when we lose something or receive a bad news. 2. Let my mind discard the following: a desire for respect and recognition in society, egotistical pride/conceit, uncontrolled/unethical sexual desire, anger, attachment, and greed. These are all negative traits, which result in unhappiness all around. 3. There is a unique concept in Oriental religions, originally from Gita, the holy book of Hindu religion. A Godly person has graduated to 4th stage of mindset, in search of harmony in life. The four types of human mindset in life are: (a) Energetic and active mindset - We are willing to work hard, as long as there are tangible rewards, (b) Lazy mindset- We are not willing to work hard, as we are feeling content and satisfied with our present state of life. (c) Pure mindset with pride - We are willing to works hard, even if there are no tangible rewards, however we are vulnerable to pride, and (d) The 4th Stage - This is the goal for a human being. A person works hard. He doesn't covet tangible rewards. He is humble. Now the mind is at 4th stage. The person is Godlike. 5. Do the following activities without expecting any rewards or without a coveted goal in mind: pilgrimages, fasting, rituals, purification and self-discipline rituals. As an example, we fast, but with a prayer to God in mind. 6. We need to train our minds, to decrease: our thirsty desires to satisfy 5 senses, illusion - illusory relations protocols or perception of world, and finally doubts/ambiguity in our perception on worldly affairs. 7. "I am truly enlightened and I see God every where,"said saint Kabir. Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/8800463
Sikhism, A View of the Sikh Religion Podcast 5 of 7 Religion is a system which connects a human being with the Creator to make sense of his existence. There are different types of religions practiced by the people throughout the world. God is explained in different ways by different religions but the motive of all religions is same-connecting with the Creator. By all means, religion is a path to reach near the God. There are many paths of religion. A religion is much more than deity worshipping. There are a lot of religions in the world, though people know only a handful of religions. Christianity, Hinduism, Sikhism, Judaism, Islam, Buddhism and Jainism are some of the popular religions in the world. There are also Zoroastrianism, Santeria, Bahai and so on. A religion implants hope, faith and trust in an individual. Types of Religions Christianity Christianity is one of the oldest and largest religions in the world. It has over two billion followers in the world. It believes in the notion of one God. It is centered on the life and teachings of Jesus Christ, Son of God. Christianity was primarily a part of Judaism but it became separated because of some reasons. Christians worshiped Jesus Christ as a God in human form but Jews did not accept this. Jews pursued a covenant which encloses a set of religious laws and traditions that need to be practiced. Christians refused to follow this covenant and formed a new religion that included Jesus Christ's teachings. Judaism The oldest religion of Abrahamic religions is Judaism. It follows the laws and principles of Hebrew Bible recognized as Tanakh. The struggles of the Hubrews or the Jews are described by this Old Testament. Islam It has over 1 billion followers. Its followers believe in one God Whom they call "Allah" and consider Muhammad as their prophet. It is one of the "monotheistic" religions of the world. Its holy book is Quran and the followers are called Muslims. The customs and discipline of the religion are strictly followed by the followers. There are five pillars or the five principles which guide the life of a Muslim such as Shahadah (faith). Sale (rite prayer), Zach (alms tax), Swam (Ramzan fasting) and Hajj (pilgrimage to Mecca). The meaning of Islam is surrendering to the will of God. There is a great importance of family life, dressing, cleanliness and ethics in the life of Muslims. Sikhism Like Christianity and Islam, Sikhism is also a monotheistic religion that means it believes in one God. It is a practical religion which does not believe in mere words. It was founded by Guru Nanak in Punjab region of what is now in Pakistan... Sikh refers to God as Waheguru. The main virtue of this religion is simplicity. This religion opposes all ritualism and formalism. Hinduism Hinduism is considered as one of the most tolerant religions in the world. To attain Moksha from the rebirth cycle is the aim of every Hindu. There are many spiritual traditions and practices which Hindus had adopted over the centuries, can be seen even today in the lives of many Hindus. When my daughter was in elementary school, she said "Oh God!" while playing on the playground. The school gave her detention for it! No! She did NOT do her detention. Why? Because I went up to that school and told them what I thought about it and that she wasn't doing it! PERIOD! They take God out of the schools, and now it seems they COWER to Every religious belief EXCEPT Christianity! Not only do Christians have No rights in public schools anymore, but they value political correctness OVER our children's safety! PARENTS SPEAK UP! And again, I highly recommend Home school!

Sikhism developed in the fifteenth century out of existing Hindu beliefs. However Sikhs reject the Hindu caste system and believe in one god.
