Dallas - Texas Travel guide, Vacation, Tourism World Travel https://www.youtube.com/user/World1Tube Dallas - Texas - United States Travel guide http://goo.gl/tLsKrZ Dallas is a young city with all the vigour of youth. Effigies of modern architecture rise like glass trees out of the downtown area. In 1841, it was simply a plan of 20 streets on the 256 hectares (640 acres) of south central America, claimed by a Tennessee lawyer, John Neely Bryan. Today, it is the ninth largest city in the USA, and including its western neighbour of Fort Worth, it is the nation's fastest growing metropolitan area. Thriving at the bottom edge of America's Great Plains, Dallas has embraced dreamers and entrepreneurs for the better part of two centuries. Big D, as it's affectionately called, merges Southern hospitality with modern sophistication. Though the landscape looks different than at its humble beginning, the city still welcomes enterprising people who gather to share their grand ideas and stake claims on new frontiers. Dallas will always be remembered for one, if not two, shootings. The first and most shocking occurred on 22 November 1963, when President J F Kennedy was assassinated in downtown Dallas. The second shooting may only have been fictional but, when J R Ewing was shot by an unknown killer in the TV series Dallas in the early 1980s, fans across the world were devastated. Even today, the legend of J R remains strong, as does the legacy of President Kennedy. Today the city is a mecca for the banking, electronics and oil industries, as well as for dining, shopping, arts and entertainment. Large scale developments of urban lofts, apartments, condominiums, retail and both indoor and outdoor recreational facilities are springing up across the city. An impressive new Dallas Center for the Performing Arts opened in 2009 to vie with New York's Lincoln Center. New facilities and relevant attractions in and around this cultural centre continue to grow. Among things you probably didn't know about Dallas: The city has the largest urban arts district in the United States spanning 19 blocks. What's more, the Dallas Arts District has more buildings designed by Pritzker Prize-winning architects in one contiguous location than anywhere else in the world. And Dallas' Fair Park, just a short distance east of the arts district and a district with numerous museums and venues, features the nation's largest collection of 1930s Art Deco, exposition-style architecture. Dallas offers true Southern hospitality, be it in a humble hideaway cocktail bar or in the Mansion on Turtle Creek, repeatedly and regularly ranked as one of the world's top hotels. And with a 10th of its workforce in the hospitality industry, Dallas is always happy to have y'all come on in and stick around awhile. Those wishing to explore further afield should take the busy freeway 30 miles to the west to the easy-going, cattle-driving, twin city of Fort Worth, home to a national historic district and a surprising stash of world-class art museums. The similarities between the two include a stunning rate of business and population growth, in spite of a sluggish recent economy; a shared passion for the pro sports teams, including the Dallas Cowboys, whose new billion-dollar stadium is now in Tarrant County instead of Dallas; and a great pride in being Texan. ======================================= Dallas Museums, Dallas Transport, Dallas Tours, Dallas Introduction, Dallas Attractions, Dallas Hotels, Dallas Restaurants, Dallas Shopping, Dallas Nightlife, world travel video, Dallas video, Dallas, Dallas Travel guide, Dallas Tourism, Dallas Vacation, Texas, Texas travel guide, Texas tourism, Texas vacation, Texas Attractions, North America, United States of America ==== Dallas - Texas - United States Travel guide, Vacation, Tourism, Attractions

WACO SIEGE EXPOSED: What REALLY Happened and WHY? 20th anniversary of the Branch Davidians MASSACRE! The ground breaking film Waco: A New Revelation is being re-released to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the Branch Davidians massacre that happened outside of Waco, Texas. This is the film that triggered a new Special Counsel investigation of the Waco tragedy, and caused the Justice Department and the FBI to reverse their long-held position on Waco. It generated a firestorm of events unprecedented in the history of documentary film making. Learn what really happened and why. copsproductions.c The Waco Massacre [SNIP] Few Americans realize that on February 28, 1993 when BATF agents in National Guard helicopters zoomed in on the Branch Davidians church and home, Mount Carmel Center, they did so with guns blazing, like Americans raiding a Vietnamese village in that far off war. . It is likely FBI agents deliberately sabotaged negotiations with Davidians to prevent their exiting Mount Carmel. Their goal was to destroy the building and its damaging evidence, even if that meant the massacre of dozens of men, women and children, all witnesses to the brutal attack. — Carol Moore: Overview of Davidian Massacre Waco Investigation Day 3 Part 3 - 1995-07-21 - Product 66322-1-DVD - House Committee Government Reform and Oversight. Also under investigation is the April 19 FBI raid on the compound with tanks and tear gas and the resultant fire in which 80 cult members died, including their leader David Koresh. Federal officials, including former Treasury Secretary Bents The Waco siege (sometimes called the 'Waco massacre') was a siege of a compound belonging to the religious group Branch Davidians by the United States federal and Texas state law enforcement and military between February 28 and April 19, 1993.[The Branch Davidians, a Protestant Christian sect led by David Koresh, lived at Mount Carmel Center ranch in the community of Elk, Texas, nine miles (14 kilometers) east-northeast of Waco. Snow day at Baylor University waco Texas and I decided to do some donuts on one of the parking garages with my friends in my CJ7.
Driving home from the auto parts store when I passed this accident, it appears that the full size Chevy pickup lost control when going around the slight curve on the highway and then crashed into where the guard rail was. Thankfully thats where he crashed and not a little further back where there was no guard rail, it could've been much worse if he had veered into oncoming traffic.
http://www.sneakerwatch.com/ - The matchup versus Dallas has a very special meaning to Cory Jefferson, a native of Killeen, Texas which is approx. 150 miles from Dallas. He's also a collegiate student/athlete at Baylor University in Waco, Texas. In this feature Jefferson will talk about his return to play at home and what it means to play a team he watched nightly as a child. Jefferson, who by the way is a rookie, was originally drafted by the San Antonio as the last pick of the 2nd round and was traded to the Brooklyn Nets. He explains the influences and the ups and downs of being a rookie in the NBA and what it will take for him to get better. Now to kicks, Jefferson who is sponsored by the Nike brand, will tell us about his love for the Air Jordan Brand, and shows off his footwear for the evening, and tell us which Jordans he loves to wear on and off the court. Also to end off the interview Jefferson will pay homage to the late NBA great Anthony Mason who passed away. Props to hollywoodcold85 for the exclusive.

National Public Radio 2015-03-26Texas (i/ˈtɛksəs/) (Alibamu: Teksi ) is the second most populous and the second most extensive of the 50 United States, and the most extensive state of the 48 contiguous United States. The name, based on the Caddo word "Tejas" meaning "friends" or "allies", was applied by the Spanish to the Caddo themselves and to the region of their settlement in East Texas. Located in the South Central United States, Texas shares an international border with the Mexican states of Chihuahua, Coahuila, Nuevo León, and Tamaulipas to the south, and borders the US states of New Mexico to the west, Oklahoma to the north, Arkansas to the northeast, and Louisiana to the east. Texas has an area of 268,820 square miles (696,200 km2), and a growing population of 25.7 million residents.
During the Spanish colonial rule, the area was officially known as the Nuevo Reino de Filipinas: La Provincia de Texas. Antonio Margil de Jesús was known to be the first person to use the name in a letter to the Viceroy of Mexico in July 20, 1716. The name was not popularly used in daily speech but often appeared in legal documents until the end of the 1800s.
