http://www.vaticancatholic.com This is a must-see new documentary. Among many other things, it explains, examines, and refutes the historic Protestant teaching on Justification (and Forensic Justification) by exposing a fatal flaw at its core. It reveals a devastating new argument and disproves the Protestant position by using the words of the Protestants themselves. It shows that the key salvation doctrine of the Protestant ‘Reformation’ is fundamentally contradictory. It thus serves to refute and expose the entire Protestant 'Reformation'. Among many other things, this documentary discusses, refutes, and exposes the views of prominent Protestants, including John MacArthur, James White, John Piper, R.C. Sproul, Michael Kruger, Steven Anderson, Charles Stanley, and numerous others. It also covers water baptism, faith alone, whether the justified can fall away, and much more. It’s essential for everyone to see this video. It’s especially relevant to anyone interested in the true teaching of the Gospel, the Bible’s teaching on salvation, apologetics, or Catholic vs. Protestant issues. This video contains many extremely interesting and revealing video clips. (Also, since all of our new videos are available in high definition, those with a fast internet connection might want to select a higher quality setting for viewing the video: e.g. instead of 480p, you could select 720p or 1080p or even higher if you have an extremely fast connection. The ‘settings’ under the little wheel icon at the bottom right corner of the YouTube video screen provide options for the highest quality viewing of the video.)
What is Protestantism? A report all about Protestantism for homework/assignment Protestantism is a religious movement that encompasses forms of Christian faith and practice that originated with doctrines and religious, political, and ecclesiological impulses of the Protestant Reformation, against what they considered the errors of the Roman Catholic Church. The term refers to the letter of protestation by Lutheran princes against the decision of the Diet of Speyer in 1529, which reaffirmed the edict of the Diet of Worms condemning the teachings of Martin Luther as heresy. Today Marcus and Ken discuss Romans 11:11-24 in which St. Paul explains God's mysterious plan of incorporating the Gentiles into his plan of salvation. Using the imagery of the vine from the Old Testament, Paul calls Gentile Christians to humility and hope for the return of the Jews to their Messiah. Listener Email: Dear CHN, God bless you for the work you do. Can you discuss the development of modern Protestantism and of Protestant thought from the reformation forward. For instance, the novelties of altar calls, sinner's prayers, symbolic baptism, symbolic Eucharist, personal relationship, personal interpretations of scriptures, rejection of infant baptism, etc. I would find this useful in my discussions with Protestant family members to help illustrate the theological novelty of Protestant theology in the framework of Catholic salvation history. The Independent 2015-03-09Protestantism is one of the major groupings within Christianity. It has been defined as "any of several church denominations denying the universal authority of the Pope and affirming the Reformation principles of justification by faith alone, the priesthood of all believers, and the primacy of the Bible as the only source of revealed truth" and, more broadly, to mean Christianity outside "of a Catholic or Eastern church". It is a movement that began in Germany in the early 16th century as a reaction against medieval Roman Catholic doctrines and practices, especially in regards to salvation, justification, and ecclesiology. The doctrines of the over 33,000 Protestant denominations vary, but most include the Ten Commandments, justification by grace through faith alone, known as Sola Gratia and Sola Fide respectively, the priesthood of all believers, and the Bible as the supreme authority in matters of faith and morals, known as Sola Scriptura, Latin for "by scripture alone".
In the 16th century, the followers of Martin Luther established the evangelical (Lutheran) churches of Germany and Scandinavia. Reformed churches in Hungary, Scotland, Switzerland and France were established by John Calvin and other reformers such as Huldrych Zwingli. In addition, John Knox established a Calvinist communion in the Church of Scotland and also the Reformed Church in Hungary. The Church of England became independent of papal authority and influenced by some Reformation principles. There were also reformation movements throughout continental Europe known as the Radical Reformation which gave rise to the Anabaptist, Moravian, and other pietistic movements.
