Kobayashi - Neuanstrich LP

Kobayashi is an amazing melodic hardcore / punk rock band from bremen, germany. While i thought they are gone for good, they are active and they did a german mini-tour back in september. I have to say that three years ago i knew shit about them. By luck i got on my hands this lp (i have made a big order from a distro and the guy was kind enough to sent it as a gift). From the first guitar riff i knew i'll go mad with them. I have to admit that i really like bands with melodic riffs and clean bass-lines and Kobayashi delivers those amazing deutsche anarcho-punk tunes from the 80's with a great refreshing air. Here you can check the translations to their lyrics.

Bombenalarm - tape & 7''

Once upon a time, i used to love german hardcore punk, and still i do. Some bands where fucking brilliant, that's for sure and as i can recall Bombenalarm was the blast. The knife-fighter, the small kid with the shiny eyes, the one that you can't think of ripping you off and he sure do, he always rip you off. If Monster put me back to the game, Burial gave me the shouts to the world and The Now-Denial made me to sing along and copy the front-man grooves in front of my mirror, then Bombenalarm made my life worth to live for. Songs like "Black hope", "Worth nothing" and "Another cheap excuse" although are painted in the most bitter and dark colors, i feel that they are trying to say "You have nothing to lose in this world, so fight for a change".

Shapesifter records (reach them through this mail : shapeshifter57@hotmail.com) from Mexico released the band's first demo and the "Destination : Fucked up" 7'' as a digipack cd (pic above) with great sound. Mountza store gave me this brilliant release for free and i have to thank them. I ripped the cd in 256kbp. The sound is perfect, the songs are brilliant, a bit more fast than the later releases. the vocals is the highlight as much as Fabian's crazy drumming. Suit yourselves lads.

Abolition - jesus was a fucking dick 7''

Christ, forgive? Forgive? I vomit for you yeisu. Shit he forgives.”(Crass-Asylum)

Every christmass the same old shit. Churches, priests, stupid preying idiots, politicians and the great (any-)nation history (that turns out a nationalist story). Pictures on the news everytime it's the same. People on their consuming drugs, buying and buying, and now with their social state benefits chopped-off by the same bastard bosses they vote in the first place. Is this a drama? Sure it is.

Religion is a fraud as Disrupt use to say. How ignorant is the fact that you believe in something that you can not even see. Jesus saves? Yes, for sure...

By the way, this blog turns out three years old. Three years of high-octane hardcore / punk, three years with some good posts, some really bad and also mean posts (reflections of my inner state, dare I say), three years of meeting new people, of love and also of despair... Three years of the greatest of hope turned to ashes... We are strong and we're struglling for our future.

Now, you may know the band Abolition. Their 7'' “Jesus is a fucking Dick” I think is the most hilarious way to sing along all together “fuck-off” to all of those scums that rule our lives and suck us dry (check their great lyrics on the track “Sadistic soldiers of the Lord”). This is old-school hardcore / punk the european way. Bad recording (more likely like a rehearsal demo), clear bass lines and male/female vocals more shouting than crawling. Take some influences Infest, No comment, Yuppicide, Neaderdal and the rest fast hardcore powerhouses. This is great euro-hardcore with political lyrics and a 16 booklet with explanations and guess what : scans included here. The individuals behind the band were fucking active with releases of fanzines (Amok/Confronation zine) and a small label called Equality records. Later, they changed their name into STACK. this defenetily a ripping record, back from the day that heart meant more than plastic production and masterings....

Wish we have a good new year, but I can't see it coming...take care

Nothing - Double dose of Negativity

Let's talk about candies. I definitely like candies. I like sucking, eating, buying, licking and eating again, what else candies. And know what? I don't care if my teeth get rotten to the core. The good things with candies are the sweetness itself. And know what? NOTHING is a fucking sweet band, so com'on and sucks it, lick and dig it.
If I can judge right from the pics the band have upload in their blog, here we have the two Guitarist (and the one vocalist of course) of the almighty MONSTER. and i damn right, the band's members have been involved with groups like Monster, Highscore, Durango 95, Costa's cake house, Bombenalarm and Nails. What the fuck? The best bands outta germany the last decade in front of my eyes. You know my love for the german hardcore scene of the 00's and i have done lots of posts in this blog, coz they deliver it in the right way. Punishing, mid-paced with lyrics like acid and riffs like nails and this band is no exception. Mid-tempo hardcore punk with a touch of 80's us hardcore, yep it's brilliant. So, if you liked the last Monster's album alongside some Highscore parts (especially the double vocals), some rockish parts like Nails and later Bombenalarm then you'll dig this for sure. And yes, alongside overpower's tape this is the best LP of 2011.period. I just bought this great lp and i highly recommend to everyone of you to do the same.

"I TRIED TO FIT

Overpower - Demo 2011

Wow, what we have here?
A new band from some old pogo wolves of the german hardcore scene.
My knowledge-owner informer told me that the band consists of ex members of brutal masterminds BURIAL and THE NOW-DENIAL. I don't know if that's accurate but I believe him and propably you'll do the same when you'll listen the first song.

This is fuckin' rock-driven, fast forward hardcore punk the good way. Their singer yelling his lungs out – not the japcore style as you might except – with a true sincerity and a knife in his hand. Yep, that's fucking deadfull hardcore guys. The guitar is over the whole production and this is the main reason, I think, this demo is so “strong” and tight. The riffs are the usual speedy freaked-out ala Paintbox illness while the drums and bass lines offers cathcy dancing songs reminding me the first 7'' of Burial without the deathside vocals or the Doomtown Lp (check for example “the power to be” or “24 hours”). This demo have been released as a limited lp (300 copies) and it's maybe the best album I listened to lately alongside the ropes second demo. Thanx goes out to stathis who pointed his finger to this shit.

Quattro Stagioni - Self Titled LP 2010

Here we have Quatro stagioni from Trier / Germany. The band existed from 1998 to 2008 and this Lp released some months ago from 625 Trash records and RSR records. As i clearly enjoy 625 releases i didn't lose any time and pick this Lp up, first sight. So, these pizza-makers (yep, Quatro stagioni is a type of pizza) do it the right way. Groovy style hardcore mixed up with low-tuned old-school grindcore and the usual power-violence assaults to make the whole thing packed (δενει το γλυκο που λεμε). The only shitty thing is that the lp carries no lyrics. Who needs lyrics in grindcore, you may say but i think lyrics is equal to the music.

When you're guitarist plays with gloves (check the right hand) and a helmet, you can't go wrong. Check also here for previous releases : s/t 7'' and split with Iron lung.

Sleazy inc. operated - Sleazy listening

Before i start to explain my choice to post a not so familiar for the blog band, i have to say sorry for the lack of posts lately. Hanging out too much with the Destino final guys has burnt my braincells (fucking morons...).

Sleazy inc. operated is an all-female trio, based on leipzig, germany. I can describe their tunes as a mix of old-school riot grrrl punk with tones of indie rock and grunge influences. You may be asking what the fuck is going wrong with me, but i have to tell you that sometimes everybody needs a "time-off" of all the noise. Hope you'll understand.

I have been among the lucky ones that saw that beautiful girls giving an unplugged show in a squat here in athens before some years and i was stunned from their approach in several topics as the "women" thing, daily-life or even the attitude. My smiley face gave me the opportunity to get their sleazy listening cd for free (just kidding, they were kind enough to give it to me for free 'coz i was broke). I have to admit that i had a crush on the girl behind the drum-kit. So, be prepared for some up-tempo but in the same time melancholic songs with not so much distortion, but played by the fucking heart, and i guess that's the important thing. Not forgot to mention, these girls played in the movie Meer is nich.

Digger barnes - Time Has Come

Everything has its ''Time''. Even the most pequliar things, and the extraordinary changes may happen to you...when their ''Time has come'' that is...!
If someone told me two years ago i'd be listening to a german guy singing about his shoes and about smelling ponnies in true american redneck accent, while playing hillbilly country on a banjo i'd most certainly shut his yaphole with a good old fashioned uppercut. But ''Time'' she is a harsh mistress and always gets what she wants in the end...

Digger is no stranger to the punk/crust underground. At least for those of you who remember one certain band called Jeniger, and their athenian live gigs in Villa Amalias at 2000 and 2001 respectfully (αν έχει συμπληρώσει την diy δικογραφία σωστά ο punk εισαγγελέας Στάθης!). ''Time'' then demanded more violent musical outbrakes from this young deutchlander...

Pluralism is the symptom of the lightheaded, so there is no need to repeat that ''Time'' takes things in her own matters, and changes you according to her will. Apparently for Digger, this meant mellowing his tunes out, but the punk stays in him. Don't expect pityfull lovesongs on this LP, but catastrophological lullabies about preachers preaching the end of the world, sweet songs about sweet murderers, and tails of the suffocating desert and its snakes against an armed with a golden gun woman.

But Digger has his light side too with gentle songs about his missing pony, about those special brown boots that take you places...Digger is also the pat in the back, and the good voice telling you to take care.

This is an all-weather LP...whether you're at some distant beach, letting the cool summer-night breeze flow around you, or whether you are gazing through the window holding a warm cup of coffee after sleeping at a friendly house (cause the heavy rain never let you leave). This record speaks to the heart in awkward and warm ways!

Digger has previously released the ''Trailer Tapes'' on tape (duh!), and two 7'' ''Digger and Allie'', as well as the ''My name is Digger''.
Accompanying Digger visually is the very good graphic designer Pencil Quincy.

Nails - self titled 7''

Yes, i know. The summer has hit you in the head really bad. You want something powerful and strong to shake you off really hard and that's not mojito, i guess. You propably want some old Monster 'coz their later rocking thing bores you to death or maybe you want some old good Bombenalarm.
You are propably thinking, "what that cunt says! these fuckers are gone for good". Propably you got right, but i got a hidden ace in my sleeve (a lot of motorhead here!). It's name NAILS!

Get two Monster guys on drums and bass, the guitarist of Migra violenta and the voice of bombenalarm and the result will be a terrific hardcore punk explosion played in mid-tempo parts with great melodic riffs, amazing rhythm section and a very expressive voice speaking out some of the most dark and painful lyrics. Solitude and despair in this piece of wax, that's one of the best 7'' i recently heard. Imagine tracks such as "Black hope" or "The curse" (bombenalarm's) but more dark and great.

"I am so into their games, oh boy.
and i have learnt all their rules
sometimes like today
all my nerves burn like fire and just see

i have it here because i found my solution
in just one fix
"

Amazing hardcore punk that if you are already familiar with monster and bombenalarm you know what to except. If i had to judge it i'll certainly give it 9/10. Thanx goes out to mosh eisley blog that has sent it to me in the first place!
has been released by LA FAMILIA RELEASES and TAKEN BY SURPRISE RECORDS. February 2010. So, go and buy some copies. it's really worth buying.

Highscore & The now denial - split 7''

While i got some dbill's promises about some writing for Okkultokrati, Naytia etc i just got - once again - his balls. AAAAAAAAAGGGGGRRRRRR. So, let's get one more new post. And i got some good stuff for you in the next posts. finland, japan and greece included. Today's topic : Breaking neck while jumping from a window. Yes, hardcore punk can easily kill...

Released as a benefit 7'' for the imprisoned protestors of gothenburg riots, this wax captures excellent all the energy of these incredible hardcore bands. Highscore comes from Nordrhein-Westfalen while The now denial hailing from bremen. Two of the best bands from germany the last decade.
If you stopping by this blog you already know that these bands kick-asses (they kicked mine way too much times) really hard and you should be up for it.

First band is Highscore (nowadays some highscore's guys are playing in Short fuse). Fast, in your face hardcore from raging lovers of late-'80s us hardcore. Out cold meets poison idea and the party goes on. When i first listened "forces of evil" the opening vocals made me think i listen to some Sodom. hahaah. I think when you talk about fast hardcore punk all the words are fading away, so let the music speak for itself, shall we?
You must definitely check out their "Unsuspecting actors..." Lp.

On the other hand we have bremen's massive killing machine well known as the now denial. Maybe this is not the perfect N.D example 'coz the band has changed it's sound with every new release (every-fucking-one is unique and great) but the writing quality of these songs can't be compared. Mixing hardcore punk with some crusty and catchy riffs. Well, there not so many bands that can do this, guys. So simple...
All the tracks have been included also to the comp. cd "Obey, shut up...". And if you like check out their second lp Viva viva threatening.

I won't be a liar. I found this rip on soulseek. That's why one side is on 192 kbp while the other is on 320kbp. If you got it on better quality, please drop a line.
"till then...

Nightmare & Burial & Crude - Axis of wolves - 3 way split Lp

I think, you already know who the fuck these japcorers are, so i'll keep it simple.
Nightmare hails from osaka and it's propably the longest act from japan. Started in 1988 they have released a bunch of records, seveninches and splits and they have been part of the famous "Eye of the thrash guerilla" compilation Lp. Here they participate two ugly, noisy, long and fast as fuck tracks of pure raging japanese hardcore. If you like the first releases of nightmare (and not the shitty lp scaterraw) this will shake your body really bad.
Next in line, my favourites german japunks (or japanese germ-punks?) from hagen, germany. You may be aware of the unleashing power of Burial's tank, but for those that don't, this is by far the best japcore band around the globe nowadays. They have released two lp's, two seveninches (get them here), and a split 7'' with athen's finest Antimob (get it here). Also, they have toured constantly including in their tours isolated places such as greece and japan, or not so isolated like northern europe.
Here you'll get two awesome in your face anthems, with the sound to be similar with their first 7inch. Forward, forward, forward....
Last on the bill, Hakodate's Crude. They started back in the mid 90's and they made a bunch of releases also. Full lenghts, splits and the list goes on and on... If you visit this blog frequently you already know that crude is the sword to chop some stupid heads off. Enjoy responsibly their previous posts here and here.
The vinyl version released as an one-sided, gatefold lp from hate records and the cd version by HG : fact records from japan, so if the economical crisis hasn't affect you yet, go and buy it...
This release came out to support the japanese tour these three bands did in 2007.
Thanx to dbill for this one, once again. cheers, mate.

tsouuaaa (download)

I'll start this off with one and only statement...this split LP is worth buying (or downloading) for the Burial tracks alone...they fucking rip you to pieces. I have said before that Burial is one of the few bands who constantly evolve their, and true to their game they add a heavy dose of thrashing to their equally heavy rocking...rocking and thrashing actually sums up what this band does on this LP. Bare in mind that these tracks were recorded after the ''Hungry Wolves'' 7'' and before the ''Speed at Night'' LP, with Norman from Bombenalarm as the guitarist (the bald jazz cutie they toured greece with the second time)...Eternal Excess might be my favorite track......addictive shit.

Packed in this piece of frozen petrolium is the monstrous Nightmare, and the epic Crude. If you are into total noise attack then you will fall in love with Nightmares sound. Raw as fuck production topped with nonstop screaming...I'm not the biggest fan of Nightmare, but their audio violence is well appreciated. Crude on the other hand are one of my favorite bands...the epic guitar leads, the catchy riffs, and the great song structures...though they are really held back on this recording mostly due to the really bad recording...''Attitude'' or ''1999'' LP's would be a much better introduction for you to this Jap monster...the songs on this split were later re-recorded with much better production, and re-released on Jannick's Feral Ward label as a 7''.

Last but not least the artwork is done by the huge Sugi, while the gatefold LP has a beatifull collage of pictures from the Nightmare-Burial-Crude ''Axis of Nightmare'' japanese tour, which will make you grateful you aren't as fucked up as Fabian...in your face Fabsie!!!!!!

Hitler died from tzatziki - 3 track demo

Hitler died from tzatziki is / was a side-project by members of antimob and burial. A greek-german alliance for the spreading of old-school feta cheese (greek traditional cheese - προστατευομενη ονομασια προελευσης) of parnassos (but i have to admit that i prefer feta dodoni).

Fetian (aka fabian from burial) and asthma, dbill started this project back in the day but only in the 2007 the band recorded this 3 track demo in fabian's place at hagen city, germany and only after dbill was turned out of the band (without not even knowing it - they throwed him away like a driven-dry lemon rind - what a great friendly behavior) and the bass duties has been carried out by drop virus 666 (also from antimob / boktorva).

The sound is more than decent and will make you dancing all night. Yes, this is the stuff that will make you stop listening bombenalarm's first 7'' for a while. But the one thing you have to advert is the fucking great lyrics (if there is any...) and the vocals. Every time i hear this three track demo i can't resist myself for having a stupid face "painted" in my face. What else to say for these stupid-fuckers that put a german guy to sing greek lyrics so they can laugh with him - but fabian does a great work. The music is a total old-school hardcore worship with great track titles like "this is feta not batsos" (this is feta not cop!) and the iron maiden's never released song "666 - the number of the cheese".

I still have my issues with the posting of this shit 'coz these bastards made dbill unhappy, but then you definetely must hear it...

"Hitler Died From Tzatziki started in September 2006 with goal to spread around the negative-trisatanic message of Feta Power. The band features two Greek Feta maniac punks and a German Feta punk Revolutioner. We started as a trio with Fetian - Son of Feta on drums (ex- Fabian), Dis-Feta-Bill on bass guitar and Asthmatic Feta on guitars but a sunny day of July of 2007 brought some major changes to the line up . After an Important Feta punk meeting, in the wild forests of Hagen, the band was joined by Necrofetas on Bass and Yoshifet(a) on sound engineering. Dis- Feta Bill is still a spiritual member of the band but he decided to focus mostly on Feta activism and leave for a while Feta phylosophism. The new lineup, after being extremely satisfied by the new Feta Cheese collection of Parnasos bio-producers, decided to record a new soundrack demo (the first of the band) with music, lyrics and recording made within the same day- since there was such a great inspiration out there(on the 21/07/2007). The demo is used exclusively for the propaganda of this new powerfull Feta!
7" made by original goat milk out soon!

Influences : Our Famlies, Thodoros Rousopoulos, Our School Teachers and Last but Not Least The Homosexual Backround of Greek Feta!"

The now denial - Viva viva threatening

While surfing on the net, i figure out that this diamond is not posted elsewhere, so i'm very glad that i can play the "smart-bad-ass" attitude...
The now denial is a fucking band! consisting of five gay-friendly handsome dolls from bremen, germany and the only think (that is (for)) sure is : with the end of this listening only nausea you should feel (if you still got feelings...)...
Let's start though... Now denial is a tractor-pulling, death-machine created by the ashes of HYBRIS, ENFOLD, HOCUS and DURANGO95, and in 2004 another member (from surf nazis must die (have you seen the movie? totally nuts. HEHE) this time) joined the team. The band has made several tours and released several albums. Here we have their second full lenght from 2004...
I can promise one thing : you'll get you're broomwood (new word, mine) and you won't stop sing along and fighting with ypur grandma ('cos we are in greece and all the hardcore / crusties live with their parents, grandparents, grand grand parents etc. dbill's included (i'm not included))...
I know that i have wrote the words mix, blender etc. a lot of times but if one band has to be named as an explosive mixture of genres and rhythms this band is definetely NOW-DENIAL... Example : the track "rotten, rotten, rotten"  is an ugly hardcore track (we all know it, even if we don't say it) and suddenly turn out to be melodic punk rock with a riff that stays in your little brain ('cos is little, if you're still reading my awful english nonsense(s)) forever... My personal favourites are : slaves, eraser and seek refuge in attack...
When you feel anger, anxiety and boredom all in one this is definetely the right soundtrack to make a walk from exarchia all the way to pagrati (through kolonaki), spit some very expensive "windows" and buy "draminh bougatsa" (no meat you fucker) at ymitou street...
Lyrics about (fuck the) gender, police brutality (with plans about the final extermination of cops), backstabbing stuff (aka "roots"), daily boredom and tediousness (check the eraser's lyrics : "my ass is nailed to the chair. obey, adapt, shut up and feel free.")
too sweet to be punk, too punk to be hardcore, too hardcore to be crust, too cynical to be anything at all

Check a previous post for denial, here

we buy our dependence, and they keep on killing  (download fuckers)

Wolverine :
It seems more and more difficult to write something unbiased about a band when you've met some of it's members... Maybe because you remember the good times, the jokes etc. but mostly because then you realise (when you've talked face to face with someone) whether or not his music/words are sincere or not. When a person is original, his actions are original.

The Now-Denial are original. They deal with very interesting, and to the point, social issues, while musicwise one could say they remind a neo-crust genre, but they are not neo-crust. Very nice guitar mellodies, beautiful groovy bass lines, and galloping drumwork. Again, this is one band that makes you read the lyrics while listening to the record, and this seems like something hard in the punk world lately.

Extra points for their different aesthetic, since they don't use this totally worn out war theme photo bullshit, bringing something fresh to the scene.

Everyone you saw them live in greece (zofos), or elsewhere (also zofos!) has been talking about their marvelous performance.

This is not a new record but definately worth every stamp you will pay for, so that they can send it over to you, since Soren is a pro table Fussball player, and Rob did a killer mastering for Antimob (hehe)!

Zeroid - 2004 lp

Once upon a time was a band called Jeniger. Jeniger released two 7'' and a lp and then disbanded (i think). After that some guys from jeniger formed the band ZEROID...
Zeroid was a band from germany, and besides this lp have also released a lp back in 2001 and a 10'' in 2002 (that you can buy it easily as one cd - see below for labels)...
This album is the final one 'cos later the band fell in hiatus...
Dark and metallic crust is the sound pollution that these guys offer with their arms aloft. Down-tuned guitars and bass lines alongside fast drumming, some blast-beats every now and then to make the whole mix unpredictable and weirdly catchy with fucking solid, heavy and metallic production (or is the mastering?)... Not the band that dbill would like, but all of you, the dark hardcore / crust maniacs with the from ashes rise posters above your mama's pillow will get little secret orgasms for about half an hour from these dreadlocking crusties...
All of you (like me of course) that bands like schifosi, november 13th or even rubbish heap drives you crazy and a passion to buy some gasoline gallons and start some play-off arson grows bigger and bigger would not be disappointed, believe me...
And to make my own advertisement : You know that this blog posts no SHIT !!!
This cd has been released by three labels : Unsociable / per koro records / totenschiff and it's still available...

download

Dark metallic hardcore is kind of a weird genre for me...Not because i don't like it at all, but mostly because most of the bands don't keep the punk background on the way they work their tunes....Too muck emphasis on the heavy sound, lots of cliche chugga-chugga guitar parts, words that are said just to said...''shallow'' is a word that would describe what i think of most of the bands of this style.

But...there are exceptions to the rule (as always). Zeroid can fit into one of these exceptions. Dark intense hardcore, that leans heavily towards the atmospheric side of things creating a suffocating feeling. Kinda like the audio equivalent of a Kafka (the author...not the band) book (maybe ''the Trial'' or ''The Sinic wall and other short stories'')...They don't let the production do the talking for them, instead the band structures really good pieces equally fast and slow, almost mud sludgy-like. Screams from a sore throat, nice unmelodical-melodies from the guitar, part blast beats part slow pounds from the drummer, and fuzzy heavy bass lines supporting the main musical idea.

This doesn't sound like the His Hero Is Gone (aka. destructor as fuck!) stuff, nor the Jeniger (aka. destructor no.2) releases, from the ashes of which Zeroid formed. I'd say they sound similar (no copy stuff) with Paranoia Keeps Crawling, Arsen (also released by Unsociable-Hate records as Zeroid) and The Last Mile.

Glasses - Self titled 12''

Recently, i discovered (fucking columbus i am) glasses from germany... After the disband of some terrific bands such as perth express and trainwreck glasses took form...
Strong and heavy still punk(y) with beautiful, angry female vocals...
Some entombed's rocking parts (listen carefully first track) to create their own unique sound and transform it into heavy and solid hardcore punk. Sometimes crusty, sometimes noisy but emotional and energetic at the same time... A band that "takes" you along with the first listening and makes you wanna cut your head from the endless headbanging (i'm still talking bullshit) and scream at four walls.
Not so metallic as the previous bands that members of glasses used to play..
No fucking rip-off
No fucking trend

download

Hour of the wolverine :
I'll admit two things straight from the beginning...firstly a am not that much into metallic hardcore, with the exception of few bands, and secondly a am not that familiar with Glasses, nor their previous bands.

What we have here is a quite venomous attack of dark metallic hardcore, thats indeed leans more towards the crust side of things than the whole modern ''metal hardcore'' trend....then again...this is not crust...crust is raw and ugly (like Disrupt and Framtid). Anyway, there are equal nice atmospheric/melodic guitar lines (i don't mean melodic in the pop-punk way), and rocking riffs, toped with pissed as FUCK female vocals, to the point that i feel like a need a cup of warm tea to soften my throat just by listening to their singer scream her lungs out!! Drums are solid, but the bass isn't high enough (from my point of view..another problem when you fuck with the natural frequencies of the guitar trying to make it sound super heavy, thus taking space from the frequencies of the bass...which is supposed to be..the bassier thing in a band! This leads to a more high -frequency wise- bass and to the triggering of the drums, completely destroying their natural sound. Sorry for the rant, but it's always disturbing to hear these new school productions!!)

This will appeal to fans of Catharsis, and all those bands of the genre, who will probably label this nice band as their new on the favourites list, but then again i listen to Negative Approach and Deathside, so i don't think i'll be listening to this anymore!!

Perth express - Self titled lp

Perth express was a hardcore band from germany, and was playing an unbelievable combination of hardcore, crust and metal. To make you understand it a little bit easier think that we have a mixer and we want to cook some "Perth express" vegan recipe... we'll take a lot of tragedy, a lot of his hero is gone, some metallic elements mainly in the production to make it heavy and solid as a fist, a little bit outta kylesa just for the fragrance and finally instead of (as)sa(u)lt, some mastodon (μη ξυνιζεις τη μουρη, μορε - i can't translate it... if anyone could...) for levant flavour.. hehehe... Have a nice appetite...
Now, that perth express disbanded a guy from them alongside some guys from trainwreck, etc. created the band Glasses (i'll post their first 12'' tomorrow first thing in the moning...)
And as fashionable activism blog wrote about them : Without any exaggeration I can say this is without a doubt one of the most powerful and memorable metal/hardcore records released in the last decade...

When i was a little kid (14-15 years old) a cousin of mine gave me a cassette-comp gift... some great 7'' from some great bands (battle of disarm, detestation etc), but i have been stacked with a split 7''... this one!
So, you can say that i have a long-time connection with these two bands...
First of all, we have Mind from germany that totally kicks-ass with raging crust, clever guitar riffs and grawling / brutal vocals with a merciless bombardment ("you can call me drums")... Secondly, Distress (not the russians) from the netherlands play hardcore / crust in the old way, some solos here and there with a chainsaw for guitar...

Full of dark memories

P.S. i have stolen this rip from the great am i mean? blog... cheers, mr.benedickt
P.S.2 : also dedicated to m.argo

Lately i have some problems with posting but i think i will solve 'em with the collaboration of my friends, so...
Here we go : Short fuse is hardcore band from germany, well-known for their live appearances and their tendency to make people have (hardcore) fun...

Raging hardcore punk featuring the singer of highscore...

Antimob & Burial - split 7'' (re-uploaded)

I'm reposting Antimob & Burial split ep here with better quality and with song titles
If you have the courage download it again...sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry...

A new split...
Antimob from athens contributes two tracks of fast well-played hardcore. Taking influences from japanese hardcore (check out the guitars and vocals) they manage to create their best tracks (till now). Lyrics on greek but i can't understand a thing hahahahahhahah. Heavy political hardcore with tons of killer riffs and bass-lines solid as fuck.Plus the great work dbill has done in drums. Great pal. (check out their cassette here)...
Burial is the ultimate japcore band from germany (much better than japanese bands), here delivers one track of uncompromising hardcore full of fast drums and great chop-off cuts. Guitars played in the old-school way (rockish style) while the vocals are reverbly great. This track was recorded in the "Speed at night" session. Run for your fucking life.
i think antimob wins in this split (hails to d-bill for this)
I feel a little bid weird to upload this cos is very very new release so go to hardware records and buy it cos it's worth everyfucking cent.
Best 7'' of the year so...

Also, here's the translations from the insert of this 7'', i'm posting it to make you know what the hell they're talking about :

H ora ths lyssas = Rabid time : "a song about the impending revolution of the exploited masses who live under a constant state of fear and insecurity. Rabid consciences to all of us"

Fili apo formolh = Kiss drenched in formaldehyde : "on the 23/12/2008 union worker konstantina kouneva was attacked with vitriolic acid, which she was forced to drink by capitalist thugs because of her fight for decent working conditions. This is for konstantina k."

Dance with the POGO-WOLVES!!!! (or mediafire)

P.S. check also antimob's self titled 7''  (7inchcrust)

Bombenalarm - No mistakes

Final post for the ''germans''
Bombenalarm is the definition of hardcore / punk
Example : when you hear the word hardcore what's the first
band that comes into mind? Ripcord!
and when you hear crust? Tragedy? i think so...
But when you hear hardcore / punk?
I guess you know the answer!
Bombenalarm (r.i.p) had two members of Burial (see the other posts about them here) and they released 2 albums, a split with Dean dirg and a 7''...
Here you get their last and best album ''no mistakes'', a combination
of mid-tempo angry hardcore punk with some fast parts here and there,
angry and terrific vocals and great lyrics...
