Travel video about destination Moskva in Russia. Moscow is the capital of Russia and the largest city in Europe. Both Tsar rule and soviet communism gave the city its present appearance. It has witnessed much change and has become a prosperous city and one of contrast and the superlative, of millionaires and also the very poor. Vasiliya Blazhennovo Khram, Basilius Cathedral, is one of the main landmarks of the Russian metropolis and was built at the command of Moscow sovereign, Ivan The Fourth, also known as Ivan The Terrible, Russia’s first Tsar. The cathedral is representative of Moscow’s architecture with red brick monuments and an accumulation of onion-shaped towers. The Kremlin extends beyond a red wall and various towers that date back to the fifteenth century. Since time immemorial it has been the seat of both tsars and bishops and in front of its walls is Red Square that was once used as a marketplace and also a place of execution. Here the death penalty was declared and immediately carried out. Arbatskaya is a city district west of the Kremlin. In the fifteenth century, the craftsmen and servants of the Tsar lived there and then followed artists, intellectuals and aristocrats. In 1935 the Metro was inaugurated and had thirteen stations. Today there are more than a hundred located along two hundred and sixty kilometres of rail, used by millions each and every day. The Moscow Underground is fast, cheap and quite splendid. Its stations are veritable works of art! When the Tsar’s empire vanished, the realm of the Communist rulers was torn apart. But the mega metropolis of Moscow managed to survive. A restless and powerful city of fantastic culture and truly dramatic history.
Lonely Planet author Mara Vorhees takes us to Moscow and shows us her favourite place called the Moseon Sculpture Park also known as the Park of the Fallen Heroes, she gets chills down her spine as she visits the Red Square and experiences Moscow's summer nightlife at a blues bar and relaxing by the banks of the Moscow river. Check Our Website : http://www.travels1001nights.com Moscow (/ˈmɒskaʊ/ or /ˈmɒskoʊ/; Russian: Москва, tr. Moskva, IPA: [mɐˈskva] ( listen)) is the capital city and the most populous federal subject of Russia. The city is a major political, economic, cultural and scientific center in Russia and in Eastern Europe. According to Forbes 2013,[14] Moscow has the largest number of billionaire residents in the world. Moscow is the northernmost megacity on Earth, the second most populous city in Europe after Istanbul[15][16][17] and the 6th largest city proper in the world. It is the largest city in Russia, with a population, according to the 2010 Census, of 11,503,501.[8] By its territorial expansion on July 1, 2012 southwest into the Moscow Oblast, the capital increased its area 2.5 times; from about 1,000 square kilometers (390 sq mi) up to 2,511 square kilometers (970 sq mi), and gained an additional population of 233,000 people.[18][19] Moscow is situated on the Moskva River in the Central Federal District of European Russia making it the world's most populated inland city. It also has the largest forest area within its borders—more than any other major city—even before its expansion in 2012. In the course of its history the city has served as the capital of a progression of states, from the medieval Grand Duchy of Moscow and the subsequent Tsardom of Russia to the Soviet Union. Moscow is the site of the Moscow Kremlin, a medieval city-fortress that is today the residence of the Russian president. The Moscow Kremlin is also one of several World Heritage Sites in the city. Both chambers of the Russian parliament (the State Duma and the Federation Council) also sit in Moscow. The city is served by an extensive transit network, which includes four international airports, nine railway terminals, and one of the deepest underground metro systems in the world, the Moscow Metro, second to the Seoul in terms of passenger numbers. It is recognized as one of the city's landmarks due to the rich and varied architecture of its 194 stations. Over time, Moscow has acquired a number of epithets, most referring to its size and preeminent status within the nation: The Third Rome (Третий Рим), The Whitestone One (Белокаменная), The First Throne (Первопрестольная), The Forty Forties (Сорок Сороков), and The Hero City (город-герой). In old Russian the word "Сорок" (forty) also meant a church administrative district, which consisted of about forty churches. The demonym for a Moscow resident is "москвич" (moskvich), rendered in English as Muscovite. Travel video about destination Russia. Russia is a country full of adventure, culture and vast distances. A continent, a multi-ethnic country and a vast land unites both Europe and Asia. Moscow is the capital of Russia and the largest city in Europe in which both Tsar rule and soviet communism gave the city its present appearance. The Kremlin is located on a forty metre high hill above the Moskva River and beyond its protective walls are numerous buildings, palaces, towers, squares and churches. The city’s history began with the construction of the Kremlin which lay at the very heart of the city and was for centuries Russia’s spiritual and political centre. A fascinating cruise travels across numerous rivers, canals and lakes within the heart of the former Tsar’s realm, past monasteries and timber built churches. In Uglič the Dimitrijvskaija Church is crowned with blue, onion-shaped domes that are adorned with stars. The red colour of the church is a symbol of bloodshed and the incidents that once occurred at this place of death gave rise to a time of confusion. St. Petersburg, known also as the Venice Of The North, contains splendid buildings such as the Winter Palace and the Eremitage. Twenty four thousand tree stumps were used for the foundation of Isaaks Cathedral that can accommodate a congregation of fourteen thousand. In Port Baikal is the modern Circum-Baikal train that takes a full day to travel around Lake Baikal and is one of the most difficult sections of the Trans-Siberian Railroad that travels from Moscow to as far as Vladivostok. Russia is huge and its nature, culture, immense contrast and dramatic history have formed the fascinating and colourful Russian soul.
http://www.expedia.com/St-Petersburg-and-vicinity.d180029.Destination-Travel-Guides St Petersburg lies around 400 miles to the Northwest of Moscow. Nestled on the Neva River, it spreads out from its banks and across a series of islands that lie within the river delta. With a wealth of extravagant palaces, breathtaking cathedrals and magnificent gardens, St Petersburg is truly Russia’s Imperial city. Carved out of swampland in the early 18th century by Csar Peter the Great, St Petersberg has been gilded by generations of Russian royalty. Over the centuries, this dynasty sought to create a city to rival the greatest cities of Europe, and, as you step onto the cobblestone streets here, you’ll discover they succeeded. Most visitors start their adventures right in the heart of historic St Petersburg. Palace Square is dominated by the Alexander Column and is home to the Winter Palace. This monumental palace is a legacy of Catherine the Great and was designed to reflect the might and power of Imperial Russia. Today it houses the State Hermitage Museum which is one of the world’s oldest and largest museums. Experience some of the country’s most extravagant architecture by strolling along Nevsky Prospect, the city’s main avenue. Visit the Church of the Saviour on the Spilled Blood, with its extraordinary mosaics,… and Kazan Cathedral, another architectural gem. Further along the river is St Isaac’s cathedral, whose gold plated dome has been glittering under Russia’s sun for more than 100 years. As the sun sets, take a canal cruise to discover the romance of St Petersburg at night. Pass through a network of draw-bridges on a journey that shows the true scale of Peter the Great’s vision. Romantic, opulent and spectacular, St Petersburg is a glittering testiment to Russia’s royal history and a celebration of the power of one man’s dream.

Take a tour of St. Basil's Cathedral in Moscow, Russian Federation -- part of the World's Greatest Attractions travel video series by GeoBeats. It looks more like a cluster of brightly colored hot air balloons than a cathedral. This is St. Basil's, or the "Cathedral of the Intercession of the Virgin By the Moat". This flamboyantly shaped and colored building is one of Russia's most important churches. The cathedral was started in 1555 as eight chapels built around a larger ninth. There have been several theories about the design of St. Basil's, but no certain answers. The cathedral has had several additions, and the whole church narrowly escaped destruction under Stalin. St. Basil's is no longer a church, it now operates as a museum.

The 300-page Russian-English dictionary provides information, insight and cultural observation on the linguistic twists and turns that lie between the English and Russian languages; and was a sequel to Palazhchenko’s other work: the English-Russian dictionary published in 1999. The 1999 English-Russian dictionary dealt with trends in the political, diplomatic and journalistic usage in the English language.[4][5] Palazhchenko loves his trade. In his book, My Unsystematic Dictionary, Palazhchenko writes: This very occupation, to imbibe the air of a foreign (and your own) language, to rake through the throng of words and, having found the right one, feel its texture, its size and then grope for the threads connecting the two languages, has always been my favorite thing to do… – from “Book Tackles Those Hard Words”, The Moscow Times, June 3, 2002.[4] In 2005, the third book of this series, Unsystematic Dictionary-2005 was published. After becoming a long-time associate and aide to Mikhail Gorbachev for several years, Palazhchenko eventually became the head of the International Department of the International Non-governmental Foundation for Socio-Economic and Political Studies (or The Gorbachev Foundation), where he also functioned as an analyst, spokesperson, interpreter and translator. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pavel_Palazhchenko Mikhail Sergeyevich Gorbachev (Russian: Михаи́л Серге́евич Горбачёв, tr. He was the eighth and last leader of the Soviet Union, having served as General Secretary of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union from 1985 until 1991, and as the country's head of state from 1988 until its dissolution in 1991 (titled as Chairman of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet from 1988 to 1989, as Chairman of the Supreme Soviet from 1989 to 1990, and as President of the Soviet Union from 1990 to 1991). He was the only general secretary in the history of the Soviet Union to have been born after the October Revolution. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mikhail_Gorbachev Eduard Shevardnadze (Georgian: ედუარდ შევარდნაძე, Georgian pronunciation: [ɛduard ʃɛvardnad͡zɛ]; Russian: Эдуа́рд Амвро́сиевич Шевардна́дзе, tr. He served as First Secretary of the Georgian Communist Party (GPC), the de facto leader of Soviet Georgia from 1972 to 1985 and as Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Soviet Union from 1985 to 1991. Shevardnadze was responsible for many key decisions in Soviet foreign policy during the Gorbachev Era. Following the dissolution of the Soviet Union, he was President of Georgia (or in equivalent posts) from 1992 to 2003. He was forced to retire in 2003 as a consequence of the bloodless Rose Revolution. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eduard_Shevardnadze

*This video is property of Train_PlaneHub, "rachaelMatt" and must NOT be illegally re-uploaded!!!* 1080p HD! On-board British Airways' shortest Boeing 747 route! The daily Heathrow - Moscow return flight, BA233 & BA232! This was filmed on-board flight 233 on January 18th 2014. This was my first flight on a 747 in nearly 7 years and my first time on a British Airways 747. Have to say I was quite pleased with them. For fairly old aircraft they were very clean, tidy and (much to my disappointment) they were actually really quite quiet! Only complaint is the scratched windows, I did try to avoid filming in the worse part, but it was quite difficult. The flight wasn't full, with plenty of empty seats, however on weekdays I'm told the flight is full as London - Moscow is a major business route. However what with it only being a 3 hour 30mins flight and quite a few empty seats made for a very rapid take off for a 747! Just over 20 seconds to get the jumbo off the ground, was very impressive and felt very powerful! A rather wet & grey Heathrow soon replaced by clear skies and snowy scenery over northern Europe! A fantastic approach into Domodedovo gave us quite a good look over a very chilly Moscow where the temperature was -17 during our arrival! A very firm touch down on RWY32R and no reverse thrust used. (with engines 1 & 4 over hanging the ice & snow to the edge of the runway, the use of reverse thrust can be dangerous and can throw large chunks of ice around which can damage the aircraft) A very long video because I couldn't decide what bits not to include, so I just included them all. Some absolutely beautiful scenery, particularly during approach! Heres a time order of the best bits to make it easier! :) ORDER & TIME OF EVENTS: 1:01 - Boarding 3:40 - Push Back & Engine Start 8:37 - Taxi to RWY09R 12:05 - Line up & Rolling Take Off RWY09R 18:55 - Great sun light shining on the wing as we turn! 25:15 - Brunch meal (Cruising 39,000ft) 32:32 - Captain announcement 34:50 - Start of Descent 38:30 - Incredible views as Moscow comes into sight 41:24 - Great views of the city 42:01 - Incredible view of Ostankino Tower (tallest building in the world between 1967 & 1976) 45:09 - Passing Domodedovo airport 46:30 - Stunning snowy scenery as we turn all the way around into DME! 49:10 - Approach 52:10 - Landing RWY32R 56:50 - Following the "follow me" truck down the extremely Icy taxiway! 58:40 - Arrival at Stand (Next to Jet Airways A330) 59:22 - Disembarkation FLIGHT DETAILS: Aircraft: Boeing 747-436 Reg: G-CIVW Seat: 34K Engine Type: Rolls Royce RB211's Departure Time: 08:40 (On time) Departure Runway: RWY09R Arrival Runway: RWY32R Flight Duration: 3 hours 30mins (25 mins early approx.) Cruising Alt: 39,000ft (FL390) Route: LHR-DME *As always by Full Flight I mean the videos includes EVERY part of the flight from Boarding until Disembarkation! Not literally a 4 hour video of nothing. If you want that, you're at the wrong channel. Great weekend in Moscow, the following day the temperature fell to -29! Which was near impossible to do anything in, but a brilliant experience none the less! Check out the return flight video onboard another 747, with great night views over London! Big News Network 2015-04-09Moscow ( /ˈmɒskaʊ/ or /ˈmɒskoʊ/; Russian: Москва́, tr. Moskva; IPA: [mɐˈskva] ( listen)) is the capital and the most populous federal subject of Russia. The city is a major political, economic, cultural and scientific center of Russia and the continent. Moscow is the northernmost megacity on Earth, the most populous city in Europe, and the 6th largest city proper in the world. Moscow is situated on the Moskva River in the Central Federal District of European Russia. In the course of its history the city has served as the capital of a progression of states, from the medieval Grand Duchy of Moscow and the subsequent Tsardom of Russia to the Soviet Union. Moscow is the site of the Moscow Kremlin, an ancient fortress that is today the residence of the Russian President and of the executive branch of the Government of Russia. The Kremlin is also one of several World Heritage Sites in the city. Both chambers of the Russian parliament (the State Duma and the Federation Council) also sit in Moscow.
Michael Joseph Jackson (August 29, 1958 – June 25, 2009) was an American recording artist, entertainer, and businessman. Often referred to as the King of Pop, or by his initials MJ, Jackson is recognized as the most successful entertainer of all time by Guinness World Records. His contribution to music, dance, and fashion, along with a much-publicized personal life, made him a global figure in popular culture for over four decades. The seventh child of the Jackson family, he debuted on the professional music scene along with his brothers as a member of The Jackson 5 in 1964, and began his solo career in 1971.
In the early 1980s, Jackson became a dominant figure in popular music. The music videos for his songs, including those of "Beat It", "Billie Jean", and "Thriller", were credited with transforming the medium into an art form and a promotional tool, and the popularity of these videos helped to bring the relatively new television channel MTV to fame. Videos such as "Black or White" and "Scream" made him a staple on MTV in the 1990s. Through stage performances and music videos, Jackson popularized a number of complicated dance techniques, such as the robot and the moonwalk, to which he gave the name. His distinctive musical sound and vocal style influenced numerous hip hop, post-disco, contemporary R&B, pop and rock artists.
Well some kid got the lock down
'Cause he got flip with an officer
No you don't do that in this town
Unless you can bail yourself out
Some kids got the kick down
Fightin' straights from Fenway Park
But who was in the right now
And who still feels the scars?
Whoah, pick yourself up now, lets go
Now when we come to your town
Ain't no one gonna be a thug
But we're gonna have a lot of words now
So ya tough hoods listen up
I seen ya drinkin' down the river
I seen ya fightin' at the shows
I seen em crawl from every niche around
And then I've seen em go
These are the times
And I don't care how it happens
Things just gotta change
Are you in it for a lifetime
Are you giving back what you take
Is what I'm saying sinking in
Or is it just another wasted day
Theres one thing that they got that we ain't got
Its the long arm of the law
When the mace came out I clutched the ground
Then they kicked me up some more
It took about a month or so for you to know what you are after
Oh yes, we can speak of time
'Cause all I remember are the times
You're livin' free and livin' high
You're like some angel in the sky
You're like some angel in the sky
These are the times I'm living for
These are the times I'm living for
Every day is better, than the one before
Turned off the phone so work will leave me alone
Can't stand to have the boss breathing down my neck
I don't need that check more than self respect
These are the times I'm living for
These are the times I'm living for
Every day is better, than the one before
So who's content in your experience
Sometimes what is real just don't make sense
The reflection in the looking glass is looking back
We've all been there like birds falling out of the air
The questions are many
The answers are few
But history has taught us
To keep playing through
These are the times I'm living for
These are the times I'm living for
Every day is better, than the one before
I ain't got time to wait on a sign
I said I ain't much to put down this time
I can't get enough to hold down the line
I don't need to read the stars to make them shine
These are the times I'm living for
These are the times I'm living for
Every day is better, than the one before
These are the times I'm living for
These are the times I'm living for
