This is how I've envisioned and rebuilt her in Minecraft for the 2nd time. The legendary royal mail steamer that hit an iceberg and began sinking on her maiden voyage, in the most tragic peace-time disaster at sea in history, on Monday, April 15th 1912. The Ship of Dreams now rests as a wreck on the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean to this day. My recreation of the RMS Titanic in Minecraft serves as a memory to all the souls who lost their lives on that fateful night on her maiden voyage to New York. The better and improved RMS Titanic version, comparing to my 1st version, this was so much better in so many ways than my first one. I planned and made measurements pre-construction this time around, and this made it a much more successful version. The simple reason I abandoned this was because of the short bow, compared in relation to the rest of the ship. I also was not satisfied with the hull shape, even though it was drastically improved from the 1st version. I was also unhappy with the shape and lines of the stern.

The sinking of the Queen Mary (Fiction) by a torpedo attack from a Uboat. Queen Mary sinks Titanic style! Watch HMS Queen Mary sink in 10-15 minutes and watch the aftermath celebrations to the courageous homecoming. UPDATE 2015: My latest Silent Hunter 5 release is here with much higher settings. Even better HD and higher resolution. This video will have you jumping out of your seats on this epic attack on a American capital task force. Featuring even the best of the US navy. Tune in to find out! Part 1 is here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vJeZcbG7nI4 I would be honored if you continue to support my video's. Please head over and check out my other work, feel free to drop a like and a subscription I've tried to make this in a type of movie style video. Please note there is "no" music during the sinking. I thought it would give you the viewer the opportunity play a music of your choice, during the sinking as there are a few sinking/ship related songs. I was fortunate to only need one torpedo to sink the ship (usually requires 2 minimum) as I could focus on the ship the entire time. This is a HD video with a enjoyable watching experience. This video was captured in Silent Hunter V in one of my personally created missions. The captured video does not show all Silent Hunter V's original content/features. There were several mods involved in this video, Most are available on Subsim.com. Any questions? Please feel free to ask them in the comments below. Just please be aware that I'm not a historian and this does not represent any historical events. But for entertainment purposes only any similarities are completely coincidental. Should you like to know the mods I have used please feel free to ask in the comments. I will then take the time to add them. Although this is HD and with high graphic settings. It's still not the optimal settings available for Silent Hunter V. For the "best" viewing experience watch on your TV (Tested) however annotations will not be visible on TV from what I've tested. Different TV's may occur different results? Part my inspiration came from two Youtube videos (not in order): "Das Boot-Alarm" thirty nine seconds by Seikaso and the other "The Enemy Below singsong" three minutes twenty three by SuperVCR. Download mission: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/wo4vnrf9jalywi9/AADM77oaSqEEgfEn0r8F6X8da Install download both: SM12.misge and SM12.tsr make a new folder in "SingleMissions" name it SM and the number after the largest number you have in the folder eg u had up to SM11 so name SM12 add both downloaded files to: Silent Hunter 5\data\SingleMissions Tips start game, menu Historical missions and enjoy. Simple go straight ahead to find HMS Queen Mary, directly to the East of Queen Mary's location are some other slightly smaller liners and cargo ships. Directly to the West of Queen Mary's location you will find several cruisers and battleships. My first mission made using editor so I created a testing ground of more rare ships in game campaign to just target practice and play around with something other then cargo vessels :D feel free to edit the mission and use how you so wish (it's not protected by anything therefore you can alter it how you like)... Just to add you don't have to worry about editing the file names of SM12.misge and SM12.tsr as they will work regardless of folder name. I called them SM12 so I would know what personal file they were going to you can of course change the names via the editor. I can confirm it will certainly work with version 1.2.0 without any editing of the file. ... voyage from Southampton, England to New York City, the RMS Titanic sank in the North Atlantic Ocean.
The Examiner 2014-04-15... RMS Titanic on April 14, 1912 ... Two days later, the RMS Titanic struck an iceberg and sank.
The Examiner 2012-11-29Coordinates: 41°43′55″N 49°56′45″W / 41.73194°N 49.94583°W / 41.73194; -49.94583
The sinking of the RMS Titanic occurred on the night of 14 April through to the morning of 15 April 1912 in the north Atlantic Ocean, four days into her maiden voyage from Southampton to New York City. The largest passenger liner in service at the time, Titanic had an estimated 2,224 people on board when she struck an iceberg at 23:40 (ship's time) on Sunday, 14 April 1912. She sank two hours and forty minutes later at 02:20 (05:18 GMT) on Monday, 15 April, resulting in the deaths of more than 1,500 people, making it one of the deadliest peacetime maritime disasters in history.
Titanic had received several warnings of sea ice during 14 April but was travelling near her maximum speed when she sighted the iceberg. Unable to turn quickly enough, the ship suffered a glancing blow that buckled her starboard (right) side and opened five of her sixteen compartments to the sea. Titanic had been designed to stay afloat with four flooded compartments but not more, and the crew soon realised that the ship was going to sink. They used rocket flares and radio (wireless) messages to attract help as the passengers were put into lifeboats. However, although not unlawfully, there were far too few lifeboats available and many were not filled to their capacity due to a poorly managed evacuation.
The wreck of the RMS Titanic is located about 370 miles (600 km) south-southeast of the coast of Newfoundland, lying at a depth of about 12,500 feet (3,800 m). Over the years since the sinking of the Titanic on 14/15 April 1912, many impractical, expensive and often physically impossible schemes have been put forward to raise the wreck from its resting place. They have included ideas such as filling the wreck with ping-pong balls, injecting it with 180,000 tons of Vaseline, or using half a million tons of liquid nitrogen to turn it into a giant iceberg that would float back to the surface.
Until 1 September 1985 the location of the wreck was unknown. Various expeditions tried using sonar to map the sea bed in the hope of spotting the wreck, but failed due to a combination of bad weather, technological difficulties and poor search strategy. The wreck was finally located, 13.2 miles (21.2 km) from the inaccurate position transmitted by Titanic's crew while the ship was sinking, by a joint French-American expedition led by Jean-Louis Michel of IFREMER and Robert Ballard of the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution. The key to its discovery was an innovative remotely-controlled deep-sea vehicle called Argo, which could be towed above the sea bed while its cameras transmitted pictures back to a mother ship.
