A Canadian Pacific 472 train makes a run up Brier Hill, east of Hampshire, Illinois with a pair of Dakota Minnesota and Eastern SD40-2s on the Canadian Pacific Chicago subdivision. Flickr photo - https://flic.kr/p/qj6D8v Listen to this pair of locomotives work to pull this train up the grade. I couldn't decide which video I liked better, so I am sharing both. With the increase of track speed it has become more difficult to get ahead of these trains for multiple location shots.

World Travel https://www.youtube.com/user/World1Tube Boston - Massachusetts Travel Guide http://bit.ly/17uKNxW Boston - Massachusetts Travel Guide, Tourism, Vacation As one of America's oldest cities, and the capital of Massachusetts, Boston's modern, vibrant streets echo its revolutionary past. Beyond being a historic milestone, Boston is also a thriving metropolis, rich with culture and hidden beauty. Unfortunately, the city was thrust onto the world stage in 2013 for all the wrong reasons when three people were killed and more than 100 maimed during a terrorist attack during the Boston Marathon. Despite this, the city has rallied together and has proved it will stand staunch in the face of violence. Founded in 1630, a stroll through the city is like reading pages from a history book. Key moments in the country's history from the American Revolution to the abolition of slavery are celebrated and encapsulated in numerous buildings and monuments. The best way to appreciate what the city has to offer is to pound its winding network of streets and diverse neighbourhoods - it's so compact and easy to navigate on foot and driving around the city is a nightmare. From upmarket Beacon Hill and studenty Harvard to the Italian North End, Irish-influenced Southie' and Back Bay, with its shops and cafes. Like London, each district has its own charms and attractions. In fact, many visitors consider Boston to be one of the most European cities in North America. Needless to say, it's attractive, enhanced by its natural waterfront setting -- Boston has a historic harbour and the meandering Charles River. In addition, numerous parks and a hot and sunny climate mean there is plenty to satisfy outdoor-lovers in the summer from bike rides to picnics and concerts. Whale watching cruises and the chance to go bird-watching in one of the city's 30-plus islands, which make up a national park, mean there are plenty of natural gems too close. However, autumn is also a popular time to visit, when trees in the city burst with flaming reds, browns and yellows, part of the legendary New England fall foliage. A recommended spot to see the city in all its glory is from the Skywalk Observatory, on the 50th floor of the towering Prudential building. It is one of many soaring glass and steel skyscrapers that reflect the city's contemporary face, alongside a plethora of fabulous museums, edgy art galleries, sophisticated restaurants and a diverse nightlife scene. And there's plenty of other attractions to explore. Ever fancied seeing a baseball match? You're in the right place. Head to Fenway Park to see the Red Sox in action. Love savouring a food market? Tuck into gourmet cuisine at Quincy Market, an unmissable indoor market in the city centre or sample freshly caugh lobster or the city's legendary clam chowder. Bit of a shopaholic? Check out the boutiques on Newbury Street, luxury shops in Copley Place or the the state's biggest outlet mall on the outskirts of the city. One word of warning though; Boston is not cheap. You'll be hard pressed to find centrally located hotels for less than $100 a night, and this is ranked as one of the world's most expensive cities. ========================== Boston Restaurants, Travelling, Boston Attractions, Boston Introduction, Boston Travel Guide, Boston Tourism, Boston Vacation, Boston, Boston Tours, Boston Hotels, Boston Nightlife, Boston Transport, United States of America, Massachusetts

Backing up your travel trailer or fifth wheel can cause stressful and anxious moments when trying to navigate into a tight campsite or driveway. Have no fear! http://PetesRV.com Lifestyle Consultant Randy Murray is here to help sharpen your backing up skills. For starters, always try to pull up to the camper's final destination on the driver's side. This allows you to get a better direct and mirror view as you back into a site or driveway. Before proceeding, park and get out of the vehicle to inspect your surroundings. Look for low lying obstacles such as stumps, branches, sink holes and drainage pipes. Inspecting your surroundings also ensures the camper is going to be set up in proper proximity to electrical, water and sewage hookups, and plenty of room to open slideouts. Randy proceeds to demonstrate a backing up technique (with an Outback Terrain 299TBH) focusing on making the camper's wheels the pivot point while steering, and then counter-steering as the camper begins to straighten. One of the best takeaways is to unhitch the camper and reposition the towing vehicle if your facing jack-knifing due to limited space for turning. It will save you the grief of pulling forward and back multiple times for minimal results (i.e. the scene from Austin Powers when he is trying to turn the golf cart around in the corridor of Dr. Evil's lair!). Thanks to Lone Pine Campground in Colchester, VT for allowing us to shoot this video at their premises neighboring beautiful Lake Champlain. Oh yeah...Randy's "How to Level Your Camper" is a perfect companion to this video: http://youtu.be/0uij_QTGSNE Basic parts and accessories to help improve your backing up efforts are available at: http://PetesRVparts.com. noodls 2015-03-26Hampshire (i/ˈhæmpʃɪər/ or /ˈhæmpʃər/; abbreviated Hants) is a county on the southern coast of England in the United Kingdom. The county town of Hampshire is Winchester, the former capital city of England. Hampshire is the most populous ceremonial county in the United Kingdom and if excluding newly formed metropolitan counties such as the West Midlands, Hampshire would be the most populous county in the whole of the United Kingdom. Hampshire is notable for housing the birthplaces of the Royal Navy, British Army, and Royal Air Force. The ceremonial county borders Dorset to the west, Wiltshire to the north-west, Berkshire to the north, Surrey to the north-east, and West Sussex to the east. The southern boundary is the coastline of the English Channel and The Solent.
Hampshire is the largest county in South East England and the third largest shire county in the United Kingdom despite losing more land than any other English county during the Local Government Act 1972 boundary changes. At its greatest size in 1889, Hampshire was the fifth largest county in England. It now has an overall area of 3,700 square kilometres (1,400 sq mi), and measures approximately 86 kilometres (53 mi) east–west and 76 kilometres (47 mi) north–south.
East Hampshire is a local government district in Hampshire, England. Its council is based in Petersfield. Other towns are Alton, Horndean and Whitehill-Bordon.
The district was originally to be known as the District Council of Petersfield. It comprised 42 seats and first met on 18 June 1973. For ten months it operated alongside the councils that it was formed to replace: the Alton and Petersfield urban districts along with Alton Rural District and Petersfield Rural District.
On 8 October 1973, the new council changed its name to the current East Hampshire District Council (or EHDC as it is usually known).
On 1 April 1974, the old councils were dissolved, leaving only EHDC.
Sandy Hopkins was the first joint Chief Executive in Hampshire when she was appointed to head both EHDC and Havant Borough Council in October 2009.
Councillors approved the business case put forward by the Chief Executive for a shared management team between the two authorities in June 2010.
The new team took up its position in October 2010 and consists of five Executive Heads reporting to two Executive Directors. This is a reduction in senior management from 15 to 7 positions.
