Motown is a record company originally founded by Berry Gordy, Jr. and incorporated as Motown Record Corporation in Detroit, Michigan, United States, on April 14, 1960. The name, a portmanteau of motor and town, is also a nickname for Detroit. Now headquartered in New York City, Motown is a subsidiary of The Island Def Jam Music Group, itself a subsidiary of the French-owned Vivendi subsidiary, Universal Music Group. Motown Records was also the name of Gordy's second record label; the first, Tamla Records, began on January 12, 1959. Motown played an important role in the racial integration of popular music, by achieving a crossover success. In the 1960s, Motown and its soul-based subsidiaries were the most successful proponents of what came to be known as The Motown Sound, a style of soul music with a distinct pop influence.
Motown has owned or distributed releases from more than 45 subsidiaries in varying genres, although it is most famous for its releases in the music genres of rhythm and blues, soul and pop. Gordy relocated Motown Records to Los Angeles in 1972 and there it remained an independent company until June 28, 1988, when Gordy sold the company to MCA and Boston Ventures (which took over full ownership of Motown in 1991), then to PolyGram in 1994, before being sold again to MCA Records' successor Universal Music Group, when it acquired The PolyGram Group. As of summer of 2011, Motown has been reactivated under The Island Def Jam Music Group division of Universal Music Group.
The 100: A Ranking of the Most Influential Persons in History is a 1978 book by Michael H. Hart, reprinted in 1992 with revisions. It is a ranking of the 100 people who, according to Hart, most influenced human history.
The first person on Hart's list is the Prophet of Islam Muhammad. Hart asserted that Muhammad was "supremely successful" in both the religious and secular realms. He also believed that Muhammad's role in the development of Islam was far more influential than Jesus' collaboration in the development of Christianity. He attributes the development of Christianity to St. Paul, who played a pivotal role in its dissemination."
The 1992 revisions included the demotion of figures associated with Communism, such as Vladimir Lenin and Mao Zedong, and the introduction of Mikhail Gorbachev. Hart took sides in the Shakespearean authorship issue and substituted Edward de Vere, 17th Earl of Oxford for William Shakespeare. Hart also substituted Niels Bohr and Henri Becquerel with Ernest Rutherford, thus correcting an error in the first edition. Henry Ford was also promoted from the "Honorary Mentions" list, replacing Pablo Picasso. Finally, some of the rankings were re-ordered, although no one listed in the top ten changed position.
Taylor Alison Swift (born December 13, 1989) is an American singer-songwriter and occasional actress. Raised in Wyomissing, Pennsylvania, Swift moved to Nashville, Tennessee at the age of fourteen to pursue a career in country music. She signed to the independent label Big Machine Records and became the youngest songwriter ever hired by the Sony/ATV Music publishing house. The release of Swift's self-titled debut album in 2006 established her as a country music star. "Our Song", her third single, made her the youngest sole writer and singer of a number one song on the country chart. She received a Best New Artist nomination at the 50th Grammy Awards.
Swift's second album, Fearless, was released in late 2008. Buoyed by the chart success of the singles "Love Story" and "You Belong with Me", Fearless attracted a crossover audience and became the top-selling album of 2009. The record won four Grammy Awards, with Swift becoming the youngest ever Album of the Year winner. Fearless also received Album of the Year plaudits at the American Music Awards, Academy of Country Music Awards and Country Music Association Awards, making it the most awarded album in country music history. In 2010, Swift released her third album, Speak Now, which sold over one million copies in its first week. She then embarked on the 111-date Speak Now World Tour, which was attended by over 1.6 million fans and has become one of the highest-grossing concert tours of all time. The album's third single, "Mean", won two Grammy Awards for Best Country Song and Best Country Solo Performance. Swift is currently recording her fourth studio album, due for release in the fall of 2012.

[from trailer]::Kaufman: Zombies, man. They creep me out.
Kaufman: In a world where the dead are returning to life, the word "trouble" loses much of its meaning.
Kaufman: We do not negotiate with terrorists!
Charlie: What happened, Riley, did you get fucked?
[repeated line]::Kaufman: You have no right!
[last lines]::Riley: Take us north.
Charlie: Nice shooting.::Riley: Good shooting, Charlie. No such thing as nice shooting.
Kaufman: [talking about Cholo] You're dead. You really are *dead*!
Arena Policeman: What the hell is going on here?::Riley: Someone shot the little fat man.
Manolete: [about the rapidly adapting zombies] Do you really think they can cross the river?
So you say that you're leaving
That's all right that's all right
Who'd I'd ever be to care?
Just like honey from the bees
So nice I'd like to do it twice
Who'd I'd ever be to care?
Just like way back in the days of Motown
We all used to get together and sing our songs of love
But they're all the same
But it sure has been a long time since Motown came to my town
My mom was still dancing
Black man sing a song of romance that's all he needs
A little girl to make his life complete
Just like singing a serenade beneath your windowsill
Slow dancing on a Friday night
I've been dreaming of you all afternoon
The sun was shining I near about fell in love
In the park with the woods to wonder
Do you wanna be my lover
Won't you cry when you miss me we fit just right
I know because I saw it in your eyes
You look a little angry baby
But don't you know that's just the way I love you
Don't you know that's just the way I love you
So turn your lights down low
Turn your love light up
Turn your lights down low
Be nice just like Smokey Robinson
Fall like the tears of a clown
Sometimes I wish I was in Detroit
The home of Motown
Singin under a streetlight
Man I hear the coolest sounds
I'm on a roof or under the boardwalk
That's where rock and roll was found
Sam Cooke the sounds of a chain gang
Marvin Gaye let's get it on
Odis Redding Wilson Pickett Y'all the list goes on
Martha and the Vandellas
The O'Jays got that cool rocking sound
Hanging out at the Apollo Theater
Gladys took a midnight train to Georgia
And did Diana and the Supremes
Do run, run, run around
Wait up wait a minute Mr. Postman
Ooh baby, yeah
I'm gonna do all the things for you
A girl wants a man to do, oh baby
(Baby)
I'll sacrifice for you
I'll even do wrong for you, oh baby
Every minute every hour
I'm gonna shower you with love and affection
Girl it's coming in your direction, baby
I'm gonna make you love me
Oh yes I will, yes I will
I?m gonna make you love me
Yes I will, yes I will
My love is strong you see
I know you'll never get tired of me
Oh baby
(Oh baby)
And I'm gonna try every trick in the book
I'll try my best to get you hooked
Oh baby
(Oh baby)
Every night, every day, I'm gonna say
Hey, I'm gonna get you
(I'm gonna get you)
Baby, I'm gonna get you
(I'm gonna get you)
I'm gonna make you love me
Oh yes I will, yes I will
I?m gonna make you love me
Yes I will, yes I will
I'm gonna make you love me
Yes I will, yes I will
I?m gonna make you love me
Yes I will, yes I will
(Yes I will baby)
I'm gonna make you love me
(You hold my heart in your hand)
Yes I will, yes I will
(Baby don't you understand)
I?m gonna make you love me
(I'm gonna make you love me)
Yes I will, yes I will
(Yes I will)
