Oct. 2001 Harley Schlanger, Taking inspiration from Dante, & Cervantes, a few Jews , Mendele Mocher Sforim, I L Peretz, & Sholem Aleichem, decided to transform some kitchen jargon, Yiddish, into a literate form of language in order to transform the backwards and degraded culture of the Shtetl (ghetto). Earlier developments around great intellects such as Maimonides and Moses Mendelsohnn are gone through. Articles on the subject are at the Schiller Institute website. http://www.schillerinstitute.org/fid_02-06/032_yiddish.html The statement from Mr. LaRouche that is read by Harley at the end of the presentation is the Fidelio article "Music, Judaism, and Hitler" http://www.schillerinstitute.org/fid_97-01/fid_993_LaR_edit.html An article on Moses Mendelssohn is at http://www.schillerinstitute.org/fid_97-01/992_mend_spm.html Since any discussion of Jews brings up the old prejudices by the usual nudzh that would make a good character in a Sholem Aleichem story, I would prefer that the comments get shut down, but for the chance at poking fun, I'll keep it open. Lisa Fishman, accompanied by composer Bob Applebaum, performs Papirosn at Maxwell Street's 30th Anniversary Concert at the Old Town School of Folk Music on November 3, 2013. In this creative setting by composer Robert Applebaum, the sad tale of war orphan hawking cigarettes in the rain, goes from pensive to theatrical to jazz. The child in Europe reappears as a cigarette girl eking out a living in a tawdry bar as the music morphs from the traditional folk song to Swing. Videography Jeremy Mangan. I've begun working with chance operations, specifically for one of my grad classes, for grad school and have employed my improvisational orchestra Candy Store Henchmen as part of my experimentation. After calling for a voluntary rehearsal, the basics of this experiment was for me to read random sentences from varying articles, quietly behind a curtain and every few sentences have the Henchmen respond when the sentences became louder. The idea is closely related to indeterminacy, as it applies to music; it should be more spontaneous and perhaps more thought put into it, but without instructions, which members are more used to or "following the leader" they seemed to be lost. There is a sheer brilliant moment midway in the film, in which violinist Yitn Mitn Fidl is sweeping dust into the broom pan, which makes the experiment in my eyes, a raving success. And that is the whole idea behind chance. Taking chances and pushing forward, to wherever it might lead to. Shot in the Raw Space at Columbia College, Tuesday, March 3, 2015

Learning a language is a big investment. There are many languages to choose from, too, even just among Jewish languages. So why learn Yiddish? Teachers, students, scholars, and performing artists discuss their reasons, the joys along the way, and the access they gained to a new world through the language itself. To view the full interviews, go to archive.org/details/ybcvideos.
Charles Corfield shares his advice to future students of Yiddish, giving credit to the diversity of the language. He asserts that the question is not whether or not what you're speaking is Yiddish, but rather "where it is Yiddish." Denver Post 2015-04-01Yiddish (ייִדיש yidish or אידיש idish, literally "Jewish") is a High German language of Ashkenazi Jewish origin, spoken throughout the world. It developed as a fusion of German dialects with Hebrew, Slavic languages and traces of Romance languages. It is written in the Hebrew alphabet.
The language originated in the Ashkenazi culture that developed from about the 10th century in the Rhineland and then spread to Central and Eastern Europe and eventually to other continents. In the earliest surviving references to it, the language is called לשון־אַשכּנז (loshn-ashknez = "language of Ashkenaz") and טײַטש (taytsh, a variant of tiutsch, the contemporary name for the language otherwise spoken in the region of origin, now called Middle High German). In common usage, the language is called מאַמע־לשון (mame-loshn, literally "mother tongue"), distinguishing it from Biblical Hebrew and Aramaic, which are collectively termed לשון־קודש (loshn-koydesh, "holy tongue"). The term "Yiddish" did not become the most frequently used designation in the literature of the language until the 18th century.
Leonard Simon Nimoy ( /ˈniːmɔɪ/ NEE-moy; born March 26, 1931) is an American actor, film director, poet, musician and photographer. Nimoy's most famous role is that of Spock in the original Star Trek series (1966–1969), and in multiple film, television, and video-game sequels.
Nimoy began his career in his early twenties, teaching acting classes in Hollywood and making minor film and television appearances through the 1950s, as well as playing the title role in Kid Monk Baroni. In 1953, he served in the United States Army. In 1965, he made his first appearance in the rejected Star Trek pilot, "The Cage", and would go on to play the character of Mr. Spock until 1969, followed by seven feature films and guest slots in various sequels. Make the world new,
Things you dream to do,
With love from me to you:
Well I've had a thousand dreams, but never one like this
And I've felt a million things, but never felt quite, quite, like this.
So tell me, what's your name?
And what's inside that heart of yours?
Tell me everything, just talk and I'll listen,
Just talk and I'll listen.
Come love, see the earth spin,
Watch the colors collide, with hope at our side,
All that is mine, with love from me to you.
Girl, tell me what's your dream, and I'll be there,
To serve your every need, yes, your every care,
All I have is this, and all I have I'll give.
Morning meets with songs, sung like I've never heard,
And all the smells, and sights, that bright my life,
Can't contain this joy unheard.
So tell me, what's your name?
And what's inside that heart of yours?
Tell me everything, just talk and I'll listen,
Just talk and I'll listen.
Come love, see the earth spin,
Watch the colors collide, with hope at our side,
All that is mine, with love from me to you.
Girl tell me what's your dream, and I'll be there,
To serve your every need, yes, your every care,
All I have is this, and all I have I'll give.

Things you dream to do,
With love from me to you...
Just talk and I'll listen, talk and I'll listen:

What's in the wake of humanity? What's in the way? Walking acrobats completely blind, all walking the same way. All the roads are all alike. They're dark but wide and always seem so bright. They're held down, completely, there's so much more to see. Held down, completely, blindfolds of pride are in the way. Its just another day in simplesville, everyone's the same, watching the way they stumble around, what's in their way? All the roads are all alike. They're dark but wide and always seem so bright. They're held down, completely, there's so much more to see. Held down, completely, blindfolds of pride are in the way. But one man walks through the streets everyday, his song could take all the blindfolds away, he sings just one song, it's just most won't sing along.Truth sings just one song, but most won't stop to listen. And its hard to tell someone, who cant see what you see, what they cannot see, most just aren't inclined to see.
if waking up another day was something you could expect. This little girl was not afraid, it was all she could understand. To understand her father was gone that day. No laws in land, so she had learned to pray. When king was king then no ones wrong. But no ones right. its always night. Cause he's the king, over the land, he's the king, he's just a man. So waking up another day was something that most would dread. No black and white, no wrong or right, all that mattered was what he said. Don't say a lot, her father was gone today. The king was law so she had learned to pray. When king was king then no ones wrong. But no ones right. its always night. Cause he's the king, over the land, he's the king, he's just a man.
Seventeen, its not my thing and its obscene to all out be compromising tell me please why cant we talk because you denunciate a lot intelligence is lacking with criticizing how you feel could never change the truth please know im just here to help don't get angry I know its hard we all fall short and sometimes far im here to help you out. tell me please why cant we talk because you denunciate a lot intelligence is lacking with criticizing not here to prove who is right and wrong or put you down confrontation, encouragement, renewing, building up.
You don't have to cry tonight. Or fake your social flawed although you might. Its just another name to look your way to feed your cause. And so the same with your belief, was Sunday just a trend? A name to claim? And now you've got your new philosophies, an all new name. And it's a gun in hand, can't touch its fate. And like a poison flower, it'll wither away. Will your emotion, navigate your faith? You're just a silly kid, and no one understands your pain. A void of true identity, to follow after mediocrity. Fads are like a drunken vagabond, who cannot see. Oh. And it's a gun in hand, can't touch its fate. And like a poison flower, it'll wither away. Will your emotion, navigate your faith? You're just a silly kid, and no one understands your pain.
Yesterday I packed up all my things
Threw them off the coast to rest in peace
I met a man who took all my empty dreams
And brought them back to life
And gave them back to me
Where did that life go
That I used to feel inside
I'm flying to sydney tonight
I'll rest my head till I find
All the things that I used to feel inside
I'm flying to sydney tonight
I want to feel alive
Well I walk these streets
5:30 seven weeks
Lost some life along the way
It took my goods and left me there to bleed
So I woke up the next day
Packed up all my things
Where did the life go
That I used to feel inside
I'm flying to sydney tonight
I'll rest my head till I find
All the things that I used to feel inside
I'm flying to sydney tonight
I want to feel the air in my lungs
Like the first breath I took
I want to feel alive
I want to feel alive
I'm flying to sydney tonight
I'll rest my head till I find
All the things that I used to feel inside
Today the things familiar to me are gone
And I'm here in some strange place
With nothing to say
And all of my life
I've had someplace to go
Some purpose to serve
And something to say
If I sing at the top of my lungs
It won't say a thing if I haven't loved
The things I realize here
The plans that I make they fail miserably
I feel alone and I feel empty
But I feel alive with something to say
If I sing at the top of my lungs
It won't say a thing
I found it again
So I'll sing it loud
The plan was all that I knew
And all I could say
I've often wondered about things that most kids say they know does everybody fall in love some day? And is it falling? or growing? Im skeptical you know? Most kids they say they're in love today well I guess you're falling, falling in something, falling in something not love. well when I meet love, im not going to be falling I don't wanna fall so you fall right on your face, that cant be love because love is growing falling is losing everything and now your ignoring me your lust keeps claiming "he is love" I could be wrong just maybe but it looks like your falling too fast well I guess you're falling, falling in something, falling in something not love. well when I meet love, im not going to be falling I don't wanna fall
Shut you out and I lock the door please don't come around me anymore you say that its alright that its ok now I feel fine my guilt has crumbled down and its all right Feeling better because im back again I've been cleansed from what I did and I know that ill sin again but im focused on today now I feel fine my guilt has crumbled down and its all right.

Apathy, please don't call me up anymore because im tired of being chained lying on a cement floor and I am reminded by these scars of regret inflicting me I could never see that this "me" in me is just not me I could never tell that this "me" just isn't me. and now the curtains opened and that "me" in me isn't me. and I am reminded by these scars of regret inflicting me could never see that this "me" in me is just not me I could never tell that this "me" just isn't me.
Joanna would you understand
If black were really white
and baby could I have this dance?
Just say that that's alright,
I'm a little scared, understand,
I'll admit it, I'll admit it.
I better dance right, try not to lose it,
alright, try not to lose it again,
try not to lose it again.
I better dance right,
try not to lose it,
alright, try not to lose it again,
and if I lose it again,
and if I can't dance,
Joanna would you understand?
Joanna could you let it be,
would you be mine tonight?
And baby let the people see,
just say that that's alright.
I'm a little scared, understand
I'll admit it, I'll admit it.
I better dance right, try not to lose it,
alright, try not to lose it again,
try not to lose it again.
I better dance right, try not to lose it,
alright, try not to lose it again,
and if I lose it again,
and if I can't dance,
Joanna would you understand?
All children learn when the sun goes down,
All my friends learn when the sun goes down,
Could be that, that in your mind?
That you beat everyone, cause you know everything.
And you know that no ones right,
Cause you've seen half the world, and you know everything.
So forgive us sire for doing what we like
And keep decrying I don't think ill ever be like you.
Because you're so above me,
Your life is a mystery, everybody wants to know.
Because you're so above me, tell us how to be,
Insult if you ever disagree, but be sure to do it humbly.
Did you come from royal blood,
You do things perfectly, cause you know everything.
Ahead then, tear us all down,
Cause you've seen half the world, and you know everything about me.
So forgive us sire for doing what we like
And keep decrying I don't think ill ever be like you.
Because you're so above me,
Your life is a mystery, everybody wants to know.
Because you're so above me, tell us how to be,
How she sees corresponds with what she knows,
And they only see with their eyes what they wanted.
Bitterly in being judged by Pharisees,
They only see with their eyes what they wanted.
So we're supposed to raise their righteous hands and say goodnight?
And leave her with the bitter taste of church inside?
She wanted just to see inside,
She wanted just to know what's right,
She wanted her life to be all right.
How she sees corresponds with what she feels,
And they only see with their eyes what they wanted.
So beat her down because she's a whore anyway,
You foolish man you forget your chains.
So do me a favor -- raise those filthy hands that mercy claimed.
Remember love that showed you life, then show the same.
She wanted just to see inside,
She wanted just to know what's right,
She wanted her life to be all right.
Im still right here but I never see you please don't go away I'm feeling so far away Im always near you im just being myself im sorry im not someone else just want a friend to stick around they all keep leaving me good friends seem hard to find stay right here don't go away I know that im not funny you tell me to leave that you don't want to see me so ok im on my way. just want a friend to stick around they all keep leaving me good friends seem hard to find stay right here don't go away [chorus]
Watching, waiting, growing to something, dreams don't seem so far away. hope you don't choke as you eat your words, goes to show God makes a way, dreams become reality. Knock that off, don't fear to dream, you'll only be if you want to be. God's faithful, in everything, don't fear to dream. We all could grow to be. Could take sometime, could take a long time. Do what you know is right, think before you act before you speak. Knock that off, don't fear to dream, you'll only be if you want to be. God's faithful, in everything, don't fear to dream. With shut tight eyes we could never see. Fruit would never grow if we don't think to plant the seed. I've learned to always think eternally. Clay could never mold if it stays hard so hard so. Knock that off, don't fear to dream, you'll only be if you want to be. God's faithful, in everything, don't fear to dream.
Pay no attention to the blood on his hands
He just had to break a few backs to get where he's at
Greed take what you need while you can
You got a free ride
No one's got to know
You got a long time
No one's got to know
So take what you can now
No one's got to know
Pay no attention to the stains on his shirt
The profit margin is well worth the hurt
Greed, take while they bleed while you can
You got a free ride
No one's got to know
You got a long time
No one's got to know
So take what you can now
No one's got to know
You got a free ride
Free ride
Convicted of every crime there was he had a week there's no question of what he deserved but some guy just died in his place And some time went by who knows why that guy showed him that love and gave him new hope. but that convict forgot it he went out and did it again that convict forgot it went all out and arrested again and its just like me and you when it comes down to it its just like me and you And we are the same as that convict we are so weak there's no question of what we deserved but Jesus has died in our place and sometime goes by and we know why Why that guy showed us that love and gave us new hope. and we seem to forget it we do it again and again We seem to forget it, just like that convict, our friend. Because he's just like me and you, when it comes down to it just like me and you
In all my days and lessons on the way and no matter what tomorrow brings your all I ever need and some things stay but most just pass away and I am learning to cling not so closely because you're all I need. so take these things off my back with so much wisdom I lack and so today with all I do and say I give all my days to you with all my dreams and the ones I love I pray that you'll keep them with me whatever today brings.
Father he raised us in the grace of god
Jeep wagoneer and blue grass songs
He showed us all the things a proper father would
And even more than the best of fathers do
So father here is a song
That I'm singing
And I'd be blessed if you'd just sing along
Pop I've seen for, what I've seen of all the fathers in this world
They're not as great as my old man
So father here is a song that I'm singing
And I'd be blessed if you'd just sing along
I drove around this town
It looks the same as 1998
When everyday we drove around this town
Trying to find our way
How did the lights start setting on my dear
New York, New York
I'll make this loud so maybe you can hear
You know I love love love what you've got
I know know know that I'm not
The greatest brother that girl could have
Promise me you'll drive around with me soon
I drove around this town like 90
But not much is the same
Well I still pray a lot for you
I do it every day
How did the lights start setting on my dear
New York, New York
I'll make this loud so maybe you can hear
You know I love love love what you've got
I know know know that I'm not
The greatest brother that a girl could have
Promise me you'll drive around with me soon
You know I love love love what you've got
I know know know that I'm not
The greatest brother that a girl could have
Have you seen the sun go down,
When colors meet and life slows down,
And suddenly everything impels you,
Evenings at the end of fall
When your thoughts don't seem there at all,
Still everything inside seems to grab you,
And could it be that everything is true?
And could it be it's calling you?
Everything that's right,
Everything you know is true,
Everything that's life
Everything is calling you,
Everything will stay that way,
Everything will stay that way.
Have you seen a moonlit sky,
When it echoes off the water's end,
An evening's breeze seems endless like a memory?
And every memory like a ring,
A promise made into a destiny,
The love of life is calling out your name.
And could it be that everything is true?
And could it be it's calling you?
Everything that's right,
Everything you know is true,
Everything that's life everything is calling you,
Everything will stay that way,
Everything will stay that way.
Once dreamed a dream thought no one could ever see of my own seemed alone then I met 3 who had the same dream as me all so real we now know now all we want is to give hope like a cure for a disease we all have void in need of fill so listen up, so what's this life does it all seem burdensome? Would you like to cut those chains? Please listen up we are never giving up all so real now we know now all we want is to give hope like a cure for a disease we all have void in need of fill so listen up.
I rhyme of time when all we knew was love
With bread and wine, friends by your side,
And time beneath your glove.
You dream of time like that to always stay,
But no soon day would ever stay,
And tunes will always change.
But you're always here and your touch is near,
and your sound, so sound,
you're always clear, so clear,
your voice it's clear,
your sound, so sound.
Now feel the times when all we knew was pain
Where loved ones hearts were locked by scars,
And soon their name has changed.
But these are times when soon you'll see what came.
In all this pain there's wholeness found
In One who stays the same.
He's always here and his touch is near,
And he's sound, so sound,
He's always clear, so clear,
His voice it's clear,
He's sound, so sound.
The pain, such lessons in such pain
Such hope in so much pain
How can I call this pain?
You're always here and your touch is near,
And your sound, so sound,
You're always clear, so clear,
Your voice it's clear,
Tyranny of time commanding, pride protruding lives. In our human eyes we close our doors, but we know more. We're all thinking about you. but something's plundering. Please don't up and walk away, forgive yesterday, it knows not what its done. No one ever ever planned to misunderstand, and no one ever would. We all know and miss those times, but no committed crimes, no need to undermind, its like looking for the key, on our hands and knees, when its already opened up. Trapped by walls of self-ignition, we're all trying to see, but hardened hearts are blind, more than before, but we know more. We're all thinking about you. but something's plundering. Please don't up and walk away, forgive yesterday, it knows not what its done. No one ever ever planned to misunderstand, and no one ever would. We all know and miss those times, but no committed crimes, no need to undermined, its like looking for the key, on our hands and knees, when it's already opened up. And all this time, the seasons way was in our minds, we could see all the leaves turn brown. but we'll be fine, cause leaves that fall will always grow back stronger in time.
Thirteen, I only had a few songs to play
And big dreams to take the whole world on in a day
Oh I believe that everything that hurts has a way
To make you see in ways you'd never seen
God knows I'm a broken man
And I need him to change who I am
I want to run
With all that I have
I won't let this go
You gotta know
And I want to say
Something the world can hear
Something more
You gotta know
Some days its hard to feel the world over me
Stand alone believing in some things I can't see
Oh I believe that everything that hurts has a way
To make you see in ways you'd never seen
God knows I'm a broken man
And I need him to change who I am
I want to run
With all that I have I won't let this go
You gotta know
I wanna say something the world can hear
Something more you gotta know
I wanna see things that I've never known
And never seen you gotta know
I want to run
What you said, and what you meant,
Didn't ever seem to meet,
So negative in how you see,
But who could change the way you think.
Pessimistically, you have trained your mind to think.
Life is down always down because you chained yourself to misery.
So look up, join in,
begin to deepen.
To think things humbly, to lock up pride and throw away key.
To think things humbly, to lock up pride and throw away key.
Others care for you, do you care for them as well?
I have learned that depression comes when our eyes are on ourselves.
Pessimistically you have trained your mind to think.
Life is down, always down because you chained yourself to misery.
So look up, join in,
Begin to deepen.
To think things humbly, to lock up pride and throw away key.
To think things humbly, to lock up pride and throw away key.
Things always work out you know it's fine,
but somehow they get complex in our minds
I promise if we'd all serve humbly life would be all right,
I know you'll see.
To think things humbly, to lock up pride and throw away key.
I knew you, you knew me, and saw God change you into someone so new, im so glad I knew you. And your life told so much, but sometimes it's so hard to see the way God sees, I can't see the reason. But in a play it's hard to see, if all we see is one scene. And I know today you're in a better place, its just hard today, to see Gods way. I know today you're in a better place, its just hard today to see Gods way. But I know today. Today seems less without you, your smile was always new and always true, im so glad I knew you. Tragedy, questions our sanity, second guess theology, leads to despondency, despondency turns into atrophy, so hard for us to see, the way that God sees. I know today you're in a better place, its just hard today, to see Gods way. But I know today you're in a better place, its just hard today to see Gods way. I know today, but its hard today.
Maybe its crazy when you let it begin
Its all you ever want, all you want to start
And then they tire you, you want to throw it away
Still everything I bleed, bleed because its
All of me, and I believe it still,
It was written in a letter to me.
And bleed to sign my name and then
I'll send it in a letter, send it in a letter to me.
I'll be the one, be the one they take,
And I'll be the one they try to break,
And I've just begun, just begun now
And I'm not a lot but you can have all of me.
I'll be the one, be the one they take,
And I'll be the one they try to break,
And I've just begun, just begun now
And I'm not a lot but you can have all of me.
Maybe it's crazy and maybe even I'll fall,
But if I fall, then I will bleed and you'll see it's all of me
But then they tire you, you want to throw it away.
Still everything I bleed, bleed because
All of me, and I believe it still,
It was written in a letter to me.
You'll never see me walk away,
All I have is all I need,
So stencil me and watch me bleed.
They've stenciled out the world and then colored it in as more,
So stencil me, and watch me bleed,
All I have is all I need,
So stencil me, and watch me bleed.
I'll be the one, be the one they take,
And I'll be the one they try to break,
And I've just begun, just begun now
And I'm not a lot but you can have all of me.
I'll be the one, be the one they take,
And I'll be the one they try to break,
And I've just begun, just begun now
Well I know that this is real, because it passes what I feel
But I'm feeling what I know and its unexplainable
And if you could feel that air, run through fields without a care
And the grass would blow on you well then you would know it too
But grass dies and night falls and skies cloud to dark
It seems that its different, but you're near so real so complete
And the air I breathe, so full, so deep
Forever so complete, forever so complete
The air I breathe, so full, so deep
Forever so complete, forever so complete
I could take you there, where you could feel that air
And the worlds could spin around, but it's always, always found
When you feel that dear run through fields without a care
And the grass would blow on you and then you would know it too
But grass dies and night falls and skies cloud to dark
It seems that its different, but you're near so real so complete
And the air I breathe, so full, so deep
Forever so complete, forever so complete
The air I breathe, so full, so deep
Sixteen never came
He just wanted to be understood
His mother knew his name
But never found the time to love her son
Of all the things in the world
We just need someone
We are more than wandering lives, or shadows in the dark
We all need someone to carry each other through it all
Everybody needs someone
She was twenty three
When she lost herself out to the streets
Red light nights just to survive
All she wanted was a friend to talk to late at night
Of all the things in the world
We just need someone
We are more than wandering lives, or shadows in the dark
We all need someone to carry each other through it all
Everybody needs someone
Of all the things in the world
Of all the dreams in the world
We just need someone
We are more than wandering lives, or shadows in the dark

That isn't love that you have, it's just like on the tv. Or maybe on a movie, a love that leaves you there empty. Know that that's not love you see, a love that leaves you there empty. Love isn't a fading word that one might say. Love isn't a long, long kiss or something that you make. Love never ever seeks itself. It serves when been spat on, even in bad health. Cause you love her for what you get. You've loved a long time, But thats the wrong kind. We see it almost everywhere. Does fashion own morality? Its love that's in the movies, a love that leaves you there empty. So are you listening? I've got so much to say, you gotta understand that love isn't this way. Love lasts more than one day. Sex mass marketing, its in the magazines, its in society, in the majority. But thats not love that you see. Oh.
It started in a movie
Where he, he sailed around the world
And the dream became and she called it love
She dreamed that she'd be rescued
Yeah she, she wanted to be saved
But she settled there for what we call the game
It's a game
It's a game
It's a game we play
In a world
In a world
In a world we heard about today
It's a game
It's a game
It's a game we love
Cause we heard it was all so fine today, today
It started in a novel
But then they, they changed it on the screen
And a dream became a dream in vain
And shot by desolution became true and by her pain
And she settled there than trust to like the game
It's a game
It's a game
It's a game we play
In a world
In a world
In a world we heard about today
It's a game
It's a game
It's a game we love
Cause we heard it was all so fine today, today
Darling if you could wait your love would come
Love is so much more than a game
They're still building roads in themselves
And we can see them all if we start driving now
And we'll do all our thinking out loud
And wait for daylight
Was it a dream we were out at a lake
After ten years and separating states
To drain your blood of the poison
Wait for daylight
It's getting close now
Well I felt the daylight
And it left me wanting more
Get me out of this empty town
I feel it changing me
There's a place off of safety in mind
We spoke of shinobi one night
And it got us to think about living our lives for what's right
To take all the things we know
Run without letting them go
And do all our thinking out loud
And wait for daylight
It's getting close now
Well I felt the daylight
It left me wanting more
Get me out of this empty town
And back to the ground
Well I felt that daylight
It broke down walls inside
And get me out of this broken town
Cause I feel it change
Daylight found you here
Drain your blood
And fill your arms with it
I felt that daylight
It left me wanting more
Get me out of this empty town
And back to the ground
Well I felt that daylight it broke down
It's breaking my walls down
Today just laughed at me,
I'm sustained by what I know,
I can't connect, can't connect, boy,
I'm sick of talk because they'll talk of,
talk about what he said
And what she said when he was gone,
and yeah, they're friends,
it's like a sport though, stabbing backs,
stab me more friend.
And free, can someone set me free?
Because someone said it was easy, yeah they said it was easy,
And me, I want to feel alive,
I want to know what it's like,
because they said it was easy, easy.
Today just laughed at me,
I'm sustained by what I know,
I can't connect, can't connect, boy,
I'm sick of talk because they'll talk of,
Talk about what he said
And what she said when he was gone,
and yeah, they're friends,
it's like a sport though, stabbing backs,
stab me more friend.
And free, can someone set me free?
Because someone said it was easy,
yeah they said it was easy,
and me, I want to feel alive,
I want to know what it's like,
because they said it was easy, easy.
They'll talk about what he said,
And what she said when he was gone,
and yeah, they're friends,
it's like a sport though, stabbing backs,
stab me more friend.
Free can someone set me free,
Because someone said it was easy,
yeah they said it was easy,
and me, I want to feel alive,
I want to know what it's like,
explain it with something that I came from nothing? Theories, all not true you say that proof is what you guessed before spend your whole life relying on nothing please just see the truth and all along you wanted something new ignorance has taken over you all along you wanted something new and all along there has been an answer don't put up a fight and stay up all night wondering where you came from spend your whole life relying on nothing if you could see the truth and all along you wanted something new ignorance has taken over you all along you wanted something new and all along there has been an answer please see that there is hope we've been created with a purpose please know that there is hope we've been created with a purpose and all along you wanted something new ignorance has taken over you all along you wanted something new and all along there has been an answer
I've thought about it, about the layers of life, the things real and true, where we've been, what we've become. can you remember still? Feelings you had inside? To find something new! Does hope get lost in all you do? And could dreams get much more real? When we're older, to look when we were younger, and change what's not the same, to look what we became, look what we've become, renew the walls within our hearts with room for change to come. and all that we know are the things we have, what we feel and do forms around what we've been through. and so could we ever say, that in the layers of life, that something was wrong? For even pain can make us so much stronger. And could dreams get much more real? When we're older, to look when we were younger, and change what's not the same, to look what we became, look what we've become, renew the walls within our hearts with room for change to come.
I meant a lot in a word that I said
And I thought a lot, that word said alot
But then I ruined it, I left it out in the cold
I lost a lot because I thought a lot
Life doesn't always demand that we understand,
Just enjoy it
I'm starting to see it now
What it is we began,
the few that we became, the person you became
And you mean a lot, so much for words to say.
You mean a lot to me. You do.
Life doesn't always demand that we understand,
That we clap our hands,
But we understand that it's beautiful.
Today has its way of making some things new,
And maybe, that means me and you.
So today what I've seen changed a part of me
When it showed me a part of you.
I'm starting to see it now.
What it is we began, the few that we became,
the person you became.
And you mean a lot, so much for words to say.
You mean a lot to me. You do.
Life doesn't always demand that we understand,
that we clap our hands, but we understand that it's beautiful.
Today has its way of making some things new,
and maybe, that means me and you.
So today what I've seen changed a part of me
There's a kind of way who love it when I fall,
loves it when I bleed, loves to take control.
Must she look that way, take me to the ground,
I become the ground, we become the ground.
Her dress becomes my thoughts
Her thoughts become a plot
Her touch becomes my fate
Can mercy find a way?
Can mercy find a way?
Find me
An empty me.
Well I like you that way
But I cannot stay,
Find me
A broken me
Well I like her that way, but I will not stay
There's a certain pain that separates the call,
Loves to see me bleed, loves to take control,
Must she look that way, take me to the ground,
I become the ground, we become the ground.
Her dress becomes my thoughts.
Her thoughts become a plot
Her touch becomes my fate.
Can mercy find a way?
Can mercy find a way?
Find me
An empty me
Well I like you that way but I cannot stay,
Find me
A broken me
Well I like her that way but I will not stay.
Free:
There's a kind of way who love it when I fall
Tell me friend
Do you linger in your head
Can you taste it still like yesterdays
Those memories
They wash all over me
They make waves that cry out for all she's seen
All we want will come you see
And all we see will make us be
Leave it up to me
I know you're hungry baby
You can't see now
Leave it up to me
Just close your eyes I'll carry
We'll get there somehow
Tell me friend
Do you linger in your heart
Can you taste it still like yesterdays
Those memories
They wash all over me
They make waves that cry out for all she's seen
Well all we want will come this see
And all we see will make us be
Leave it up to me
I know you're hungry baby
You can't see now
Leave it up to me
Just close your eyes I'll carry
We'll get there somehow
Leave it up to me
I know you're hungry baby
You can't see now
Leave it up to me
It's been awhile and the pictures we had are faded.
When the same mistakes brings common truth to what we hated.
When one could be empty [and tired of being empty],
We gotta be ones who are always there,
To know and always care,
Always have always, always seize the day,
Always look inside, always modify,
Always have always,
Because always is a place.
When it's been awhile
And the flowers she gave have withered.
When the same mistakes brings common truth to what we've hated.
When one could be empty [and tired of being empty],
We gotta be ones who are always there, to know and always care,
Always have always, always seize the day,
Always look inside, always modify,
Always have always,
Because always is a place.
And I'd like to go there,
Where love must grow,
Where it's all they know.
And I'd like to see it.
Where substance stays.
Because that's always.
All my thoughts aren't against me
At several thousand feet of all the things I've seen
Of what my life even means
I've gathered all these things
Things that I can't keep
Well I want to give this an ocean
That could carry on when I'm gone
I want to see
I want to love (i want to believe)
I want to send a soul when fire comes
And I want to be the man I'm meant to be
And give away all that I can be
When it rains late in the spring
It pains me then to rain
And something moves in me
And it won't leave me alone
To what I'm living for
To what I want to be
Pays me in the rain
Something moves in me
And it wont leave me alone
To what I'm living for
To what I want to be
I want to give this world an ocean
That could carry on when I'm gone
I want to see
I want to love (I want to believe)
I want to send a soul when fire comes
And I want to be the man I'm meant to be
And run where I can't see
And give away all that I can be
All the waves inside of me
Are moving me to face the day
To give away what I can't keep
All these things that I can't keep
I want to see
I want to be
I want to love
To find away to leave the things that move in me
I still believe
What moves in me
I still believe
I'm too ruthless, your God is a nuisance,
And the gospel is useless, I sing my praises from the book of Judas.
I'm posessed and there's no way I can stop killing,
The devil fell from heaven and continued doing God's Bidding.
God really you'll meet your end soon,
I'll make sure you don't exist like the shoe prints we left on the moon.
High in heaven smoking fumes from 9/11 and spit fire out,
And uncovered everything that the government has lied about.
Soldiers enlisted were tricked into reading the mission wrong,
Bin Laden's still alive and he's residing in the pentagon.
The place where the government's practicing methods of torture,
And they're building hundreds of thousands of coffins in Georgia.
They blinded us with darkness so much that we need a lamp,
'Till we're barely breathing and bleeding inside a FEMA Camp.
Operation Northwood, you can't tell me that isn't true,
Black helicopters man, this ain't nothing new.
MK Ultra.
So you think you've never supported terrorist actions?
You do it every time you pay your taxes.
Global conspiracies, fascist plane crashes,
Right wing baptists, mother fucker, it's madness.
The inconvenient truth is that the world is just too damned to save it,
Our drinking water is slow being contaminated.
Pledging allegiance doesn't make you a patriot,
It's defending your country from all the leaders that are raping it.
Little did we know that doctores were injecting death inside us,
Don't be stupid, AIDs is an experimental retro virus.
Placed in patients and told it was a placebo,
They won't be satisfied until the population's zero.
You think that isn't true? Look up the Tuskegee experiments.
The government's so arrogant, they were fully aware of it,
They kept you so distracted, you don't know anything about what I've told you.
