Yahweh ( /ˈjɑːweɪ/ or /ˈjɑːhweɪ/; Hebrew: יהוה), often rendered Jehovah /dʒɨˈhoʊvə/ or the LORD (in small capitals), is the god of Israel in the Hebrew Bible. Yahweh is a modern scholarly vocalization of the name as it appears in Hebrew, where it is written without vowels as יהוה (YHWH), called the Tetragrammaton.
Yahweh was not a Canaanite god, and modern scholars see him originating in Edom, the region south of Judah. The goddess Asherah may have been Yahweh's consort in the earliest period, but this is not certain. Originally the main god of the Iron Age kingdoms of Israel and Judah, worship of Yahweh alone (monotheism) became entrenched in Judaism in the exilic and Persian periods.
The Bible describes Yahweh as the god who delivered Israel from Egypt and gave the Ten Commandments and says that Yahweh revealed himself to Israel as the LORD who would not permit his people to make idols or worship other gods "I am Yahweh, that is My name; I will not give My glory to another, or My praise to idols."

Plot
A socio-religious tale that presents the birth of Jesus, not 2000 years ago, but in the early 1900's, in the southern United States, before the Civil Rights Movement. He is born to a Jewish father and an African American mother, and grows up traveling around the countryside preaching about peace, love and equality. The film takes place on the day of his execution by the Mayor and Police Chief of a small southern town, as he addresses two other black 'criminals' in his jail cell, and discusses his beliefs with the town's mayor. The mayor represents the Pilate character, the police chief the Roman soldier who stabs him in the side. Mary, Mary Magdeline, Judas, and other biblical characters are represented as well.
Yahweh Yahweh when Messiah come with a brand new day
Yahweh Yahweh when Messiah come we be blessed all day
It's hard to find hope when the world shies away
From the light, darkness is where it wants to be
But I can lean on where I find, the light the truth the life, oh
Who is big enough, who is strong enough, who can lift me up, who can rise above?
I know only one, I know only one, I know only one
Oh, it's Jesus
Yahweh Yahweh when Messiah come with a brand new day
Oh, it's Jesus
Yahweh Yahweh when Messiah come we be blessed all day
Oh, it's Jesus
Yahweh Yahweh when Messiah come with a brand new day
Who my belief is in
Yahweh Yahweh when Messiah come we be blessed all day
I try to throw my arms wide enough around the world
I want to feed the hungry little boys and little girls
I wonder how I can make a change
But the world needs more, it needs to be saved
Who is big enough, who is strong enough, who can lift me up, who can rise above?
I know only one, I know only one, I know only one
Oh, it's Jesus
Yahweh Yahweh when Messiah come with a brand new day
Oh, it's Jesus
Yahweh Yahweh when Messiah come we be blessed all day
Who my belief is in
Yahweh Yahweh when Messiah come with a brand new day
Who my belief is in
Yahweh Yahweh when Messiah come we be blessed all day
When the sun comes out, will the rocks cry out or am I first to respond
When they see my life will they know I'm the one your name's one
I have no other hope that I can lean on
Apart from the blessed name who brings strength in his Kingdom
See no matter what them do, and no matter what them say
Every knee shall bow every tongue confess everybody lay prostrate
Lover of our souls bring a new day
We need you Yahweh, who in the world can save?
Who in the world can save us?
Who in the world can save us?
Who in the world can save us, save us, save us?
Who in the world can save us?
Who in the world can save us?
Who in the world can save us, save us, save us?
Yahweh Yahweh when Messiah come with a brand new day

For the power of His voice will rout the enemy
There's no weapon that can defeat us here
We will triumph on every side
More than conquerors through the might of Adonai
Through the walls may stand before us
Hem us in on every side
They come crashing down
When they hear the sound
Of the name above all others

You alone, are worthy
You alone, are worthy
Of all that I am
Of all that I am
Beautiful is Your name
Beautiful is Your name
Yahweh
You alone, are worthy
You alone, are worthy
Of all that I am
Of all that I am
Wonderful is Your name
Wonderful is Your name
Yahweh
Beautiful is Your name
Beautiful is Your name
Yahweh
You alone, are worthy
You alone, are my King
Take these shoes
Click clacking down some dead end street
Take these shoes
And make them fit
Take this shirt
Polyester white trash made in nowhere
Take this shirt
And make it clean, clean
Take this soul
Stranded in some skin and bones
Take this soul
And make it sing
Yahweh, Yahweh
Always pain before a child is born
Yahweh, Yahweh
Still I'm waiting for the dawn
Take these hands
Teach them what to carry
Take these hands
Don't make a fist
Take this mouth
So quick to criticise
Take this mouth
Give it a kiss
Yahweh, Yahweh
Always pain before a child is born
Yahweh, Yahweh
Still I'm waiting for the dawn
Still waiting for the dawn, the sun is coming up
The sun is coming up on the ocean
This love is like a drop in the ocean
This love is like a drop in the ocean
Yahweh, Yahweh
Always pain before a child is born
Yahweh, tell me now
Why the dark before the dawn?
Take this city
A city should be shining on a hill
Take this city
If it be your will
What no man can own, no man can take
Take this heart
Take this heart
Take this heart
