Tanvi Ganesh Lonkar (Marathi: तन्वी गणेश लोणकर) (born 5 March 1995) is an Indian actress best known for her 2008 role as the teenage version of 'Latika', a character in the Academy Award-winning film Slumdog Millionaire. As a member of the cast of that film, Tanvi Ganesh Lonkar is a recipient of the 15th Screen Actors Guild Award for 'Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture'.
Lonkar lives in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India with her parents, Ganesh and Sharmila, and younger sister Janhavi. She speaks Marathi, Hindi, English fluently. She lives in Goregaon, a far-flung suburb of Mumbai, and studies in Vibgyor High, Mumbai. Her mother Sharmila works as a technician in Hinduja Hospital while her father Ganesh works with the Union Bank of India.
Lonkar was chosen for the role as the teenage Latika when her uncle, an acquaintance of Slumdog Millionaire co-director Loveleen Tandan, encouraged her to go for the audition; unfortunately, the scene for which she was auditioning was cut out of the film.
Radhika Pandit (Konkani: राधिका पंडित, Kannada: ರಾಧಿಕಾ ಪಂಡಿತ್) is an Indian film and television actress who appears in Kannada films, mostly performing lead characters. Making her feature film debut in the 2008 film Moggina Manasu, she has been receiving notable critical praise for her performances, receiving three successive Filmfare Awards for Best Actress. and went on to appear in several commercially successful films, establishing herself as a leading contemporary actress of Kannada cinema.
Radhika Pandit born on 7 March, hails from a Konkani-speaking community of Chitrapur Saraswat Brahmin near Uttara Kannada district. She studied in Cluny Covent High School and Mount Carmel College and currently resides near Devaiah Park, Bangalore.
She acted in two Kannada tele-serials, "Nandagokula" and "Sumangali", before starting a career as a film actress. Radhika Pandit made her feature film debut in Moggina Manasu, which rendered her a Filmfare Award for Best Actress in Kannada in 2008 as well as the Karnataka State Film Award for 2008-09. She again won the Filmfare Award in 2009 for her performance in the film Love Guru and went on to win a third Filmfare Award at 2010 ceremony as well for her performance in Krishnan Love Story. She's the only actress among the current crop of actresses to have claimed back to back Filmfare Awards making it three years in a row.
Tanvi Vyas won the Miss India Earth title in 2008. It was first won by Harshita Saxena who eventually surrendered her title to Ms. Tanvi due to the violation of a contract signed with Gladrags.
She later competed in the Miss Earth competition, but she did not make it to the semi-finals.
Vyas was born on 30 September 1985 in Mehlol, a village near Godhra, Gujarat, and grew up in the Gujarati city of Vadodara. At the time of the Miss India pagaent, Vyas was studying graphic design at M.S. University.
She has also acted in Eppadi Manasukkul Vandhai ("How You Came Into My Heart"), a South Indian film directed by P.V. Prasath.
