This concert, shot from first row - center, was recorded at arguably the peak of Buddy's career. It includes songs from "Damn Right I Got the Blues" and Slippin' In" (which had been released just six months earlier). Buddy claims to have a "tender throat" on this night, but nobody cares as he, and the crowd, had a great evening. His awesome touring band: Greg Rzab on bass, Scott Holt on guitar, and drummer Ray "Killer" Allison are featured prominently on this show. Major props to Hat-Cam Man, whoever you are.
We caught up with legendary blues guitarist Buddy Guy as he sat down with Guitar Center Sessions and At Guitar Center Podcast host, Nic Harcourt for an in-depth and insightful interview. Nic's wide-ranging conversation with Buddy covered his humble beginnings, getting his first guitar for $2, getting fired from his first gig, talking "Strange Brew" with Eric Clapton, and, of course, his illustrious career touring the world and playing the blues. Listen to the full 50-minute interview at http://www.GuitarCenter.com/Podcast and be sure to pick-up Buddy's latest album, "Rhythm & Blues", available at http://www.BuddyGuy.com.

The Dallas Morning News 2015-03-30George "Buddy" Guy (born July 30, 1936) is an American blues guitarist and singer. Critically acclaimed, he is a pioneer of the Chicago blues sound and has served as an influence to some of the most notable musicians of his generation. "A key influence on Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix and Stevie Ray Vaughan, Buddy Guy put the Louisiana hurricane in 1960s electric Chicago blues as a member of Muddy Waters' band and as a house guitarist at Chess Records. A native of the Baton Rouge area, he combined a blazing modernism with a fierce grip on his roots, playing frantic leads heavy with swampy funk on Howlin' Wolf's 'Killing Floor' and Koko Taylor's 'Wang Dang Doodle' as well as on his own Chess sides and the fine series of records he made with harp man Junior Wells. One of the last active connections to the golden age of Chess, Guy still plays with his original fire."
Ranked thirtieth in Rolling Stone magazine's list of the "100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time", Guy is known for his showmanship on stage: playing his guitar with drumsticks or strolling into the audience while playing solos. His song "Stone Crazy" was ranked seventy-eighth in list of the 100 Greatest Guitar Songs of All Time also of Rolling Stone.
I'm catching hell out here
People and you know, I know it ain't right
I say, I'm catching hell out here
And people you know, I know it ain't right
'Cause I'm so broke, I'm so broke right now
That I can't even spend the night
My only son
I don't think he really know who I am
I said, my only son|
I don't think, I don't think he really know who I am
Frankly speaking people, I don't think
I don't think he really gives a damn
Look at here
I pawned my watch, and you know I pawned my doggone ring
I said, yes, I pawned my watch
Baby you know I pawned, I pawned my dog gone ring
You know, I'm trying to ride this old rackety bike
And I don't even have a dog gone chain
Look at here
I'm catching hell, I'm catching hell, yeah
And people and you know that ain't right
I say, I'm catching hell, yeah
And people you know, you know, that ain't right
I'm so broke right now, that I can't even spend the night
I'm a country man
I was country ever since I come to town
I'm a country man
I was country when I come to town
You know I can look at a milk cow and I'll
Tell you how much her butter will come a pound
I'm just green as a pool table
You know I'm twice as square
Green as a pool table
And you know I'm twice as square
I may be a educated fool
But that's something I don't have
I'm a country man
Just as country as I can be
I'm a country man
Just as country as I can be
You may get me out of the country people
But you, never will get the country out of me
I'm green as a pool table
People you know I'm twice as square
Green as a pool table
People you know I'm twice as square
I wanna be a educated fool
But it's something I don't have
I'm a country man
I was country when I come to town
I'm a country man
I was country when I come to town
You know I can look at a milk cow and I'll
Tell you how much her butter will come a pound
Just a country man
Baby, you know I ain't shamed
I'm a country man
Baby, you know I ain't shamed
That's why I'm crazy 'bout my guitar
We need help in our city, people, we need a lot of help in our town
We need a lot of help in our city, you know, we need a lot of help in our town
'Cause a lot of lil' innocent children, Lord knows, they're being gunned down
We need help in our schools, we need a lot of help in our home
We need a lot of help in our schools, we need a lot of help in our home
'Cause, Lord knows, somewhere, somehow, oh, somethings going all wrong
Look a-here
They tried to tear down the high-rise and the laws say that was wrong
Look a-here
Oh, they tried to tear down the high-rise and the laws say that was wrong
They say, "Long as they're killing one another, you just leave'em alone
We need help in our city, we need a lot of help, people, here in our town
Oh, we need help in our city, and, uh, we need a lot of help, people, in our town
Just bring along that big ball and tear the whole goddamn thing down
You look good and you look good
You look good and you look good
Every girl I see are looking good to me
Every girl I see are looking good to me
You know the pretties girl that I’ve ever seen

And how she looks, no words can tell,
Because all of those girls, you know they sure look

Every girl I see are looking good to me
Every girl I see are looking good to me
And the girl I see had an angel’s face
She has so mush charm and suit in laze
And what shall do, I don’t know
Cause I’ve never felt like this before
Every girl I see are looking good to me
Every girl I see are looking good to me
Well I do anything to make that bit
You know I get exited when I see that chick
My heart gets happy and I’m full of faith
Because all of these girls, are tending mean
Every girl I see are looking good to me
Every girl I see are looking good to me
I can’t put you down from no-one else
You know you look so good, I can’t control myself
I’m going crazy; you know I’m not so blame
You all look lovely, pretty little thing
Every girl I see are looking good to me

Hey, you always bitching
About something I didn't get you
Hey, you always bitching
About something I didn't get you
So let the door knob hit you
While my damn dog should've bit you
You said [Incomprehensible]
That I never would quit you
You had voodoo working on me, girl
And you said that I would never quit you
Well, let the door knob hit you
While my damn dog should've bit you
When you leave the other day
I don't believe I'm gonna miss you
And when you leave the other day, woman
I don't believe I'm gonna miss you
So let the door knob hit you
While my damn dog should've bit you
Let the door know hit you now
Early in the morning and I can't get right
Had a little date with my baby last night
Now it's early in the morning, well, it's early in the morning
Now it's early in the morning and I ain't got nothing but the blues
Went to all the places where we used to go
Went to our house but you don't live there no more
Now it's early in the morning, well, it's early in the morning
Early in the morning and I ain't got nothing but the blues
Went to her girlfriend's house but she was out
Knock on her father's door and he began to shout
Early in the morning, early in the morning
Early in the morning and I ain't got nothing but the blues
Went to Dooky Chase to get something to eat
Waiter looked at me and said, "You sure look beat"
Yeah, it's early in the morning, early in the morning
Well, it's early in the morning and I ain't got nothing but the blues
Well, it's early in the morning and I ain't got nothing but the blues
Well, I'm done got over you
I'm done got over you at last
Well, I'm done got over you
I'm done got over you at last
The day you went out for some mad at you
You seemed such sweet little thing
And after 'while you know you got so bad
'Till you know it was a crying shame
I'm done got over you, ah
I'm done got over you, ahah
I'm done got over you
I'm done got over you at last
I didn't want you to be no angel
Neither no girl for joy
And all I want for just some good woman
Just to love me like a toy
Well, I'm done got over you, oh
I say, I'm done got over you, oh Lord
I'm done got over you
I'm done got over you at last
He Philip
The day when I first met you
Seemed such sweet little thing
And after 'while you know you got so bad
'Till you know it was a crying shame
He, I'm done got over you
Oh, I'm done got over you, Lord, Lord
I'm done got over you
I'm done got over you at last
I didn't want you to be no angel
Neither no girl for joy
And all I want was some good woman
Just to love me like a toy

He, I'm done got over you, Lord
Well, I'm done got over you
I'm done got over you at last
Well, I'm done got over you
I'm done got over you at last
Well, I'm done got over you
Yeah, you're a down and dirty blues man
Look-a-here
You play blues on blue guitar
According to the news man
As far as blues goes you a star
I'll admit you gettin' down there
But I'm down much deeper then you are
Yeah, you sing those songs of sorrow
But to me you just don't sound real
You say you're down enough to borrow
I must be down enough to steal
Now the blues ain't what you're singin'
The blues is what I feel
You tell me your love light is dimmin'
And how your old lady cheats
You go backstage with all the women
While I go back out on the street
Well, you know that you're a winnner
And you tell me you were born to lose
But please, please, please, don't tell me about the blues
You tell it like you're barefoot
And you're wearin' those hondred dollar shoes
Yeah, you can shuck and jive me all you wanna
But please, please don't tell me about the blues
Yeah, you tell me you a poor man
While you flashin' those ruby rings
But on a million dollar tour
Man, you can flash more than a goddamn thing
But it's me who's payin' my dues
Did somebody make a fool out of you?
Did somebody mistreat you?
Well I know you've been holdin' back
You got a lot of more love than that
Did somebody make a fool out of you?
Did somebody run away with your heart?
Did somebody tear you whole apart?
Well I know you've been treated bad
But you don't have to look so sad
Did somebody make a fool out of you?
Did somebody make a fool out of you?
Did somebody mistreat you?
And I know you've been treated bad
But you don't have to look so sad
Did somebody make a fool out of you?
Oh yeah, oh yeah
Did somebody make a fool out of you?
Did somebody mistreat you?
Well I know you've been holdin' back
You got a lot of more love than that
Did somebody make a fool out of you?
I know it's hard to love someone again
When somebody have torn you all apart
But come on and let yourself go
Don't think about it anymore
I know there's still a lot of lovin' in your heart
Oh baby, did somebody make a fool out of you?
Did somebody mistreat you?
Well I know you've been treated bad
But you don't have to look so sad
Did somebody make a fool out of you?
I got a cold, cold feeling, seems like ice all around my heart
I got a cold, cold feeling, seems like ice all around my heart
You know I'm gonna hurt somebody, every time that feelin' starts
I woke up early this morning, and I heard blue Monday call
I woke up early this morning, and I heard blue Monday call
You know I don't feel like it this morning boss, you know I don't feel like a thing at all
Just a little Buddy Guy
Oh, I could hear blue Monday callin', oh, but I'm so tired, I don't want you to call my name
Oh, I could hear blue Monday, oh, I could hear you call my name
I've got a sweet black angel, I likes the way she spread
her wing
I've got a sweet black angel, I likes the way she spread
her wing
When she spread her wings over me, I gets joy and
ev'rything
If my black angel should quit me, I believe that I would
die
If my black angel should quit me, I believe that I would
die
If you don't love me black angel, please tell me the
reason why
Well all right man... (guitar solo)
Ask my black angel for a nickel, and she give me a ten
dollar bill
Ask my black angel for a nickel, and she give me a ten
dollar bill
Told I want a small drink of liquor, and she bought me a
whiskey still
Oh, mister D.J.,
I wonder why you don't play much blues anymore
Oh, mister D.J.,
I keep wondering why you don't play much blues anymore
I don't know what you got against me
Whatever it is, I sure would like to know
Oh, I would just love to hear T-bone
Even though I know that bluesman now he's gone
Oh, I would love to hear T-bone
Even though I know that he is gone
Oh, it would bring back such great memories
Oh, just to hear your song
You know the Wolf used to moan
Oh, but he too he's gone
Oh, you know the Wolf used to moan
Listen
Oh, but he too, you know he's gone
Every once in a while mister D.J.
Why don't you please spend one of them a songs
Will you listen to me please
And spend me a song by the late Jimmy Reed
Will you listen, listen to me please
And spend me a song by the late Jimmy Reed
Oh, you know you would make me feel kind of good
Well, if you love me baby this is what you've got to do
You got to let the world know that you love me too
If I'm crazy, you'll be crazy too
We gonna have a crazy time just playing crazy music for you
We gonna have a crazy time, we gonna jump for joy
You be my crazy girl and I'll be your crazy boy
If I'm crazy, you'll be crazy too
We gonna have a crazy time just playing crazy music for you
Crazy, crazy, crazy
Crazy, crazy, crazy
We gonna have a crazy time just playing crazy music for you
I'll play a crazy bucks and I'll get a crazy sound
I'm gonna play it standing up and I'll play it laying down
If I'm crazy, you'll be crazy too
Oh the way belove been treatin' me
People I just can't understand

To forgive me for my sins
The first time I met the blues
People, you know I was walkin' down through the woods
Yes, the first time I met the blues
You know, you know I was walkin' down through the woods
You stopped by my house first, Mister Blues
And blues, you didn't do me much good
You, should have heard me beggin'
Blues, don't murder me
Aw, you, you should have heard me begging
Mister blues, don't you murder me
You know, you be with me every morning, Mister Blues
I just got to know what you want with me
Ah, good morning, good morning, Mister Blues
I'd like to know what you're doing here so soon
Good morning, good morning, good morning
Good morning, good morning, Mister Blues

You'll be with me every morning, Mister Blues
You'll be here every night and every noon
Yeah, Mister Lenny Picket ladies and gentleman
Lord, have you ever been mistreated
Then you got to, you got to know just what I'm talking about
Yes, have you ever been mistreated
Then you got to, you got to know just what I'm talking about
Lord I work five long years for one woman, and she had the nerve to kick me out
I got a job at a steel mill, I'm shucking steel just like a slave
Five long years, every Friday y'all I went straight home yeah, I went straight home
Mistreated
Then you got to, you got to know just what I'm talking about
Lord I work five long years for one woman, and she had the nerve to kick me out
Lord but I finally learned a lesson, I should have known long time ago
The next woman I marry, she gotta have two jobs,
and she gotta go out and work long and bring some dough
Lord, said I been mistreated
And you got to, you got to know just what I'm talking about
Lord I work five long years for one woman, and she had the nerve to kick me out
Have you ever been mistreated
Then you got to, you got to know just what I'm talking about
Yes, have you ever been mistreated
Then you got to, you got to know just what I'm talking about
Lord I work five long years for one woman, and she had the nerve to kick me out
I got a job at a steel mill, I'm shucking steel just like a slave
Five long years, every Friday yes y'all I went straight home,
I went straight home with all my pay
Yes, I've been mistreated
And you got to, you got to know just what I'm talking about
Lord I work five long years for one woman, and she had the nerve to kick me out
Lord I finally learned a lesson, I should have known a long time ago
The next woman I marry, she gotta have two jobs,
and she gotta go out and work and bringing home some dough
I've been mistreated, yeah
And you, you know just what I'm talking about
Early this morning
I saw my baby makin' love to the garbage man
Early this morning
Saw my baby makin' love to the garbage man
The little girl know she was wrong
The little girl know I was leavin' her
The little girl know she was wrong
Oh yeah, oh yeah, the little girl know I could catch a plain
Little girl know she was wrong
Ohh, the little girl know I could catch a plain
But ohhh early this morning
Saw my baby making love to the garbage man
You know what, I ain't go up with that shit
Hey Buddy, will you play me some blues
You know I checked out that insurance man
And I checked out that mail man
But you know all the time, baby it was that old, old garbage man
Early this morning
uhh saw my baby making love to the garbage man
The little girl know she was wrong
Hmmm, everything gonna be allright yeah
Oh yeah, oh yeah, oh yeah, oh yeah
You know four o'clock this morning
Oh, have you heard the news?
Baby, there is good rockin' in here tonight
Oh, have you heard the news?
Baby, there is good rockin' in here tonight
Oh, we gonna rock and rollin' yeah baby
There will not never be no fuzzin' and fight
I'm gonna hold my little baby
Just as tight as I just can
'Cause tonight my baby gonna know
That I'm her mighty, mighty, mighty man
Have you heard the news?
There will be some good rockin' tonight
Oh, we're gonna rock and rollin' you baby
Gonna have a good, good time tonight
Meet me in a hurry woman
Right behind my bar
Bring my rockin' shoes, Lord
I'm gonna rock away all my blues
Heard the news now, baby
There's some good rockin' in here tonight
We gonna rock and roll now, baby
We gonna rock and roll tonight
Oh, have you heard the news now, baby
Gonna be a rockin' tonight
Listen to me, baby
I'll make everything alright
Now have you heard the news?
There be some good rockin' tonight
Oh, we gonna rock and roll, baby
Till the next broad daylight
Put on your rockin' shoes
Put on your rockin' shoes
Put on your rockin'
Put on your, your rockin' shoes
Oh, and I know we gonna have a ball
We gonna play some funkin' lowdown blues
Oh, we gonna rockin', rockin'
Rockin', rockin', rock don't stop
Rockin', rockin', rockin'
Said don't want you to stop
Oh, we gonna get down
Get on down on you
Oh, we gonna really have a ball
Oh, I had a bad night last night
People you know things just didn't go right
I had a bad, bad, bad night last night
People you know things just didn't go right
You know I lost all my money on the boat
And I'm standing here to tell you all I'm down so broke
I got a call from my baby this morning
Said Buddy you know you just gotta pay
I got a call from my baby this morning, yeah
It said Buddy you just gotta pay
I shook my head and said
People you know this just ain't my day
Oh I went in to a friend of mine
And he was broke, busted and disgusting
Yes, I went to a friend of mine
And he was broke, busted and disgusted
And all he did was shook his had and walked away
And said Buddy Guy, this just ain't my day
Ohh, I'm playing this morning
Please don't let those jet-engines start
Ohh, I'm playing this morning
Please, please don't let those jet-engines start
When I hear your engines goin'
You know, it almost drives me out of my mind
Oh, but the last few morings lately
Before I get out of my bed
Oh, but the last few morings lately
Just before I get out of my bed
You know I can hear your engines goin'
And it almost drives me out of my head
Oh, but the last few morings lately
Before, before I get out of my bed
Oh, but the last, but the last, but the last few morings lately
Before, before I get out of my bed
Well, you know I can hear your engines goin'
One, two, three, hit it
Alright, alright then
Wow, I can't get used of it baby, now
I can't get used of the blues
I can't go get used of it
I can't get used of the blues
Alright
Alright
Alright
Hit it
He yeah
Alright, sounding good
Oh, sometimes I could cry
Woman I could just lay down and die
Oh, sometimes I could cry
Woman I could just lay down and die
Well if you listen to the story now
My pal Buddy will tell you the reason why
My baby needs and she love me
In the evenin' when I come home
Whoa, my baby needs and she love me
In the evenin' when I come home, oh yes
But seems like everything I do
Everything I do is wrong
I used to have plenty money
The finest clothes in town
Nothin' ever got in my way until
You come to get me down
I'm say'n mercy, mercy, mercy baby
Ooh have mercy on me, oh yes
I'll always love you darlin'
No matter what you do
Now listen closely baby
I'll try to change my ways
Don't go kickin' up trumped up troubles
Worry all my days
Mercy mercy mercy baby
Good God mercy be all around
Yes you know I'll be right there
1st Verse
Somebody asked me, why I live the blues
I said the blues is all around me; I just find something I can use
And I feel it running through me, but I give it my heart and soul
I practice while Im singing; let the feeling take control
CHORUS
Im just tryin to tell the truth
Every time I sing the blues
2nd Verse
Might think about a woman and how she done me wrong
I might think about some hard times when I was barely hanging on
I might think about a brother who still cant make things be
Some fallin sisters sellin it on the street
CHORUS
BRIDGE
I find my inspiration in tears and desperation
Sad, sad stories we all know so well
Along with one more story to tell
(SOLO)
3rd Verse
Here I am another night; another town along the way
Room full of people say they wanna hear me play
Yes there was some hard times, my luck cannot survive
It takes a whole lot of livin; to make us all come alive
CHORUS
CHORUS
Down here the river, meets the sea
And in the sticky heat I feel you open up to me
Love comes out of nowhere, baby, just like a hurricane
And it feels like rain and it feels like rain
Lying here underneath the stars right next to you
And I'm wondering who you are and how do you do? How do you do, baby?
Clouds roll in across the moon and the wind howl out your name
And it feels like rain and it feels like rain
We never going to make that bridge tonight, baby
Across lake Ponchartrain
And it feels like rain and it feels like rain
So batten down the hatch baby and leave your heart up your sleeve
It looks like we're in for stormy weather, that ain't no 'cause for us to leave
Just lie here in my arms, let it wash away the pain
And it feels like rain and it feels like rain
Feels like rain
It feels, it feels like rain
And it feels like rain
Oh yeah, oh yeah
Feels like rain, yeah
Like rain, rain
You know it feels like rain
Sometimes it feels like rain
You're damn right, I've got the blues
From my head down to my shoes
You're damn right, I've got the blues
From my head down to my shoes
I can't win 'cause I don't have a thing to lose
I stopped by my daughter's house
You know I just want to use the phone
I stopped by my daughter's house
You know I just to want to use the phone
You know my new grand baby came to the door
And said, ?Granddaddy you know ain't no one at home?
I said, "Now, look out"
You're damn right, I've got the blues
From my head down, down to my shoes
You damn right, I've got the blues
From my head down, down to my shoes
You know I can't win, no people, 'cause I don't have a thing to lose
You damn right, I got the blues
You damn right, I got the blues
You damn right, I got the blues
I had no money, I had no clothes
I had no shelter from the bitter cold
When you're too weak to walk, He'll carry you through
I'm living proof
When you're down to your last dime
You ain't got no hope or peace of mind
Just say a prayer, He'll listen to you
I'm living proof
I'm living proof that bares a way
I'm living proof, kneel down and pray
I seen His glory, I know the truth
I'm living proof, I'm living, I'm living proof
You know I'm not tough, can't do my own
Say you're going down all alone
Well, I'm still here, [Incomprehensible] and gone
Living proof
Life ain't easy, it's a long, hard test
You're gonna make mistakes, just do your best
[Incomprehensible], you make it through
Hell, I'm living proof
I'm living, I'm living, I'm living proof
I'm living proof that bares a way
I'm living proof, kneel down and pray
I seen His glory, I know it's true
I'm living proof
I'm living, I'm living, I'm living proof
There's a lot the Lord can do
Hey, look at me, I'm living proof
I'm living proof
Yeah, I'm living proof
Yeah, I'm living proof
Yeah, I'm living proof
I'm living proof
I'm living proof
Oh, I've got no one there for now
Since my baby's love had been done with
Well, I don't know what to do
I sit and cry and sing the blues
Well, no one to cry on her sweet name
And my heart is filled with pain
Oh I only think of you
I sit and cry and sing the blues
Blues found in my bloodstream
Blues found in my home
Blues found in my soul
I got blues all in my bones
Oh no one to depend on
Since my baby's love had been gone
Oh I don't know what to do
I sit and cry and sing the blues
Oh yeah!
Come here baby!
Oh no one to depend on
Since my baby's love has been gone
Whoa, I don't know what to do
I sit and cry and sing the blues
The gates of Heaven must be open
I think I saw an angel just walk by
Hey, the gates of heaven must be open
I think I saw an angel just walk by
I heard a blind man screamin', say
Now there goes a sight for my sore eyes
There goes a sight for my sore eyes
Now there goes a sight for my sore eyes
What kind of woman is this?
You should be locked up, pretty girl
In my bedroom with me
Hey, you should be locked up, pretty girl
In my bedroom with me
So we can do the same thing that Adam
Did under that old apple tree
What he did under that apple tree
What he did under that apple tree
Well, well, well, well, well, well
Choke out
Here I come again
There's always some good lookin' girls
Hangin' 'round this famous place
Well, hey, there's always some good lookin' girls
Hangin' round this famous place, talkin' bout legends now
Aww, but this particular one
Looked like somethin' from outer space
She looked like somethin' from outer space
What kind of woman is this?
Hmm, what kind of woman is this?
What kind of woman is this?
Ooh, what kind of woman is this?
Look at that, she shakes all over when she walk
She made a blind man see
Made a dumb man talk
What kind of woman is this?
Hmm, shucks
Tell me, hey, what kind of woman is this, man?
Somebody gotta, gotta, gotta, gotta
Gotta, gotta, gotta tell me, tell me
Well there's a red house over yonder
That's where my baby stays
Lord there's a red house over yonder
Oh that's where my baby stays
I ain't been home to see my baby
In ninety-nine and one half days
Wait a minute, something wrong here
My key won't unlock this door
Wait a minute, something wrong here
Lord have mercy this
key won't unlock this door
(something wrong here)
I gotta bad, bad feeling
My baby don't live here no more
(That's ok, I still got my guitar...look out!)
Well I might as well look back over yonder
Way back up over the hill
Lord I might as well go back over yonder
Way back yonder across the hill
Even though my baby don't love me no more
By eric clapton, gail collins and felix pappalardi
Strange brew -- kill whats inside of you.
Shes a witch of trouble in electric blue,
In her own mad mind shes in love with you.
With you.
Now what you gonna do?
Strange brew -- kill whats inside of you.
Shes some kind of demon messing in the glue.
If you dont watch out itll stick to you.
To you.
What kind of fool are you?
Strange brew -- kill whats inside of you.
On a boat in the middle of a raging sea,
She would make a scene for it all to be
Ignored.
And wouldnt you be bored?
Strange brew -- kill whats inside of you.
Strange brew, strange brew, strange brew, strange brew.

Please, darling, do me a favor, keep our business to yourself
I don't want you to tell nobody in your family
And don't mention it to nobody else
Don't tell your mother, don't tell your father
Don't tell your sister, don't mention it to your brother
Please, darling, keep our business to yourself
Don't you tell nobody and don't mention it to nobody else
You have a husband, I have a wife
If you start to talk, that's gonna mess up our life
Please, please baby, keep our business to yourself
Don't you tell nobody, don't mention it to nobody else
Tramp
What you call me ?
Tramp
Ph you didn't
You don't wear continental clothes or Stetson hats
Well I tell you one doggone thing
It makes me feel good to know one thing.
I know I'm a lover
Matter of opinion , baby
That's all right , Mama was
So
Papa too
And I'm the only child
Lovin' is all I know to do.
You know what, Otis ?
What ?
You're courtry
That's all right
You straight from the Georgia woods
That's good
You know what ? You wear overalls
And big old brogan shoes
And you need a haircut, tramp.
Haircut ? Woman , you foolin'
Ooh, I'm a lover
Mama was , Grandmama, Papa too
They'll make you one
Oh, that's alright.
And I'm the only son of a gun, yeah, this side of the
sun
Tramp
That's right, that's what you are
[incomprehensible]
You know what ? I'm no tramp
You know what, Otis ?
I don't care what you say, you're still a tramp
What?
That's right
You haven't even got a fat bankroll in your pocket
You probably haven't even got twenty-five cents.
I got six Cadillacs, five Lincolns
Four Fords, six Mercuries, three T-Birds, Mustang
Ooh, I'm a lover
You're true about me
My Mama was , my Papa too
[Incomprehensible]
I tell you one thing
Well tell me.
I'm the only son of a gun, yeah this side of the sun
Alright
You're a tramp , Otis
No I'm not
I don't care what you say, you're still a tramp
Don't call me that.
Look here you ain't got no money
I got everything
You can't buy me all those minks and sables and all
that stuff I want
I can buy you minks , rats frogs , squirrels. rabbits
Anything you want, woman.
Look, you can go out in the Georgia woods catch them,
baby
Oh, you foolin'
You're still a tramp
That;s alright
You a tramp , Otis . you just a tramp
That's alright.
[Incomprehensible]
You wear overalls, you need a haircut, baby
[Incomprehensible]
Cut off some of that hair off your head
You think you a lover, huh ?
I don't want you to be no slave
I don't want you to work all day
I don't want you 'cause I'm kind of
Sad and blue
I just want to make
Love to you
Love to you
I don't want you to make my bed
I don't want you woman don't rub my head
I don't want you 'cause I'm kind of
Sad and blue
I just want to make
Love with you
Love to you
Well, I can tell by the way that you switch and walk
I can know by the way that you baby talk
I can see by the way that you treat your man
I could love you baby till it's a cryin' shame
I don't want you to make my bread
I don't want you to rub my head
I don't want you 'cause I'm kind of
Sad and blue
I just want to make
Love with you
Forty days and forty nights
Since my baby left this town
Sunshinin' all day long
But the rain keep comin' down
She's my life I need her so
Why she left I just don't know
Forty days and forty nights
Since I set right down and cried
Keep rainin' all the time
But the river is runnin' dry
Lord help me it just ain't right
I love that girl with all-a my might
Forty days and forty nights
Since my baby broke my heart
Searchin' for her in a while
Like a blind man in the dark
Love can make a poor man rich
Or break his heart I don't know which
Forty days and forty nights
Like a ship out on the sea
Prayin' for her each night
That she would come back-a home to me
Life is love and love is right
I hope she come back home tonight
I need someone's hands
To lead me through the night
I need someone's arms
Just to squeeze and hold me tight
And when the night began
And the days have end
I need your love so bad
I need someone's lips
To feel next to mine
I need someone to stand up and tell me
When I'm lying
And when the lights are low
And it's time to go
I need your love so bad
So, give it up
And bring it home to me
Write it on a piece of paper
So it can be read to me
Tell me you love me
And stop driving me mad
'Cause I need your love so bad
I need a soft voice
To talk to me at night
Don't worry baby
Don't fuzz and fight
So listen to my plea
Bring it home to me
'Cause I need your love so bad
I've got a problem
I've got a problem
I've got a problem
I got a problem
I got a problem with my woman
and I got a problem with my wife
when you see me standin'
with tears in my eyes
oh you must be wondering
how could I wreck my life
'cause I got a problem with my woman
and I got a problem with my wife, well
my wife is number one
and my woman is number two
my woman would do things for me
that my wife wouldn't do
Course I dig my wife, but she don't understand
somtimes it take two y'all
to satisfy a man
now when my problem started
I started messin' with number three
she calls up my wife
and tells on my woman and me
my wife packs up her clothes
and goes home to her mother
and my woman runs off and
finds another lover
I've got a problem
and it's about to wreck my life
problem with my woman
I got a problem with my wife, yeah
(solo)
Well when my problem started
I started messin' with number 3
she calls up my wife
and tells on my woman and me
my wife packs up her clothes
and goes home to her mother
and my woman runs off and
finds another lover
I got a problem
and it's about to wreck my life
problem with my woman
I got a problem with my wife, yeah
If you leave me, I'll go crazy
If you quit me, I'll go crazy
'Cause I love you, I love you
Oh, I love you too much
If you forget me, I'll go crazy
If you leave me, I'll go crazy
'Cause I love you, I love you
Oh, I love you too much
You got to live for yourself
Yourself and nobody else
You got to live for yourself
Yourself and nobody else
If you quit me, I'll go crazy
If you forget me, I'll go crazy
'Cause I love you, I love you
Oh, I love you too much
You got to live for yourself
Yourself and nobody else
You got to live for yourself
Yourself and nobody else
If you leave me, I'll go crazy
If you quit me, I'll go crazy
'Cause I love you, I love you
Got my nose open baby
You got my nose open baby
Ahh huh
You got my nose open woman
But, I got my eyes on you
You got me weepin' and moanin'
Got me weepin' and moanin'
Hey, you got me weepin' and moanin', oh yes
You got me weepin' and moanin' woman
But I got my eyes on you, look a here
Got my nose open baby
You got my nose open woman
Uhh, ohh, yeah yeah
Got my nose open baby
When my left eye go to jumpin'
Oh, I don't know which way to go
When my left eye go to jumpin'
And my flush begun to crawl
'Cause I know it's some other mule
Is kickin' in my stall
I got a strange, strange feeling
Oh, I never felt like this before
When my left eye get to jumpin'
Oh, I don't know which way to go
Look out I'm coming one way
You know I feel like my baby
Has got a black cat bone
'Cause everything I do now
She knows what's going on
I got a strange, strange feeling
Oh, oh, I never felt like this before
When my left eye get to jumpin'
So many days since you went away
I often think of you night and day
But I know that someday, someday darling
I won't be trouble no more
Trouble, trouble and misery
Is about to get the best of me
But I know that someday, oh someday darling
I won't be trouble no more
I told you my story, I sang my song
About you leaving baby, you know that's wrong
But oh, someday, someday darling
You got too many ways
To raise, to sin
You got too many ways
To please your man
You got too many ways
Too many ways for me
You got too many ways
To call me, honey
You got too many ways
To spend my money
You got too many ways
Too many ways for me
You treat me kind in every way
But you so good you know and I can't stay
And I will turn that other cheek
'Cause my head is hard, you know my heart so week
You got too many ways
To please the boys
You got too many ways
To spread your joy
You got too many ways
Too many ways for me
You treat me kind in every way
But you too good you know and I can't stay
And I will turn that other cheek
'Cause my head is hard, you know my heart so week
You got too many ways
To please the boys
You got so many ways
To spread your joy
You got too many ways
Too many ways for me
Too many ways
Too many ways
To Many Tears
Don't know what lead up to this
I don't have a clue
How did things get tangled up
I never meant to hurt you
You should have been there for me baby
standing right by my side
now things have changed and I've got to go
to many tears have been cried
to many tears, to many tears oh I've cried in vain, I've cried in vain
ooh to many tears, to many tears oh they drown just like rain oh to many tears
I've tried to be strong
I've tried to do you right
but you left me all alone
one to many nights
chorus
when I needed you the most
emptiness was all I got
I'm not gonna cry no more
I've shed my last teardrop
Lead
Everything is gonna be ok baby
both of us will survive
lets be thankful for the love we shared
and not for those tears that we cried
Chorus x2
Oh, there's no one there for me
Since my baby's love had been done with
All I do is think of you
I sit and cry, oh and I sing the blues
I sit and cry, and I sing the blues
Oh, there's no one to call me sweet names
And my heart, and my heart is filled with pain
Lord I don't know, I don't know what to do
I sit and cry and I sing the blues
I sit and cry and I sing the blues
Blues all in my bloodstream
Blues all in my home
Blues all in my soul
I got blues all in my bones
Oh no one to depend on
Since my baby, since my baby's love had been gone
Broken hearted and lonesome too
I sit and cry and I sing the blues
I sit and cry oh and I sing the blues
I sit and cry
I sit and I cry
I sit and I cry
I cry
I cry, cry, cry, cry, cry, oh
And I sing on, I sing on, I sing on the blues
Oh, I sing on, I sing on
There is something on your mind
By the way you look at me
There is something on your mind
By the way you look at me
Can what you're thinkin' bring happiness?
Or will it bring me, it just misery
No, no please don't try to tell me
"I'll think, I can understand"
Don't try to tell me, baby
"I'll think, I will understand"
You want me to try and forgive you
But you can bet I'll do, I'll do
I'll do the, I'll do the best that I can
If you ever think about me
If I ever cross your mind
Oh Lord, if you ever, if you ever
If you ever think about me, baby
If I ever cross your mind, yeah
I want you to know, I want you to know, yeah
The things that I used to do
Lord I won't do no more
The things that I used to do
Lord I won't do no more
Used to sit and hold your hand, baby
Beggin' you, not today
I used to search all night for you baby
And I search always anything
I used to search all night for you baby
And I search always anything
Yeah and I knew all along, darlin'
You was out somewhere with your other man
I'm gonna send you back to your mother, baby
Or I'm gonna back to my family too
I'm gonna send you back to your mother, baby
Or I'm gonna back to my family too
Nothin' I ever do pleases you, darlin'
Yeah, I don't know why I got those type of blues tonight, but uh
Something, it's alright, something told me tonight to uh
Get it like I was gettin' it when I first started
And it's such a great pleasure to be on this show tonight Ladies and Gentleman
Tell uh, it's given me a thrill inside, you know, and I wish that
You may think I'm puttin' you on, but uh please believe me
For somehow or another,I hate to say this, but uh,
We get a better thrill out of playing over here then we do at home
So uh, haha, but uh, I must, thank you, I must say this that uh
Regardless to how an entertainer feel it are always the people that makes him feel okay
So that's why we always get the question asked us, during the course of a tour
Do you ever get lonesome by it for not beeing at home, you know
People can make you feel at home
And when I, thank you very much
And when I get that feeling like that I go be that and
Play a tune that goes something like this
Just ten years ago
People what I would do
No one would ever know
Just ten years ago
People how I would live my life
No one would ever know
The things that I think I would do
Ooo, no one will never know
I sit down in my dark room sometime
Tears rollin' down from my eyes
I sit down in my dark room
Tears rollin' down from my eyes
Yeah, play the blues
You know, I began to wonder
Oh, what makes a man like poor me cry
Well I might as well forget all about it
Lord and try to live my live just like it is
Lord I might as well forget all about it
And try to live my live just like it is
And you know I want to tell you people
Oh I would like to go back ten years
Play it on down for me now!
Yeah!

You know I love you baby

Oh, I got a hip shakin' mama
I swear she suits me to a Tee
Well, you know she can stay out all night
But she, still's alright with me
You know she give me everything I want
And a everything I need
She's my woman
I tell ya yes indeed
I got a hip shakin' mama
I swear she suits me to a Tee
What I like about the girl
I swear she's alright with me
You know I, never want for nothing
She give me everything I need
When I want that woman
She just mine, yes indeed
I say, I got a hip shakin' mama
I swear she's alright with me
Well I'm crazy about the girl
So I swear she's alright with me
Yeah
I wake up early in the morning
my breakfast is right by my bed
I wake up early in the morning
You know, my breakfast is right by my bed
You know if I want for anything else
My baby heard every word I said
And you know she suit me baby, ha ha ha
You know you suit me baby, ha ha ha
I tell she suits me baby, ha ha ha
And she suits me baby, yeah
Oh the girl she suits me baby,
My baby's a superstar
She's in a class out just by herself
I said, "My baby's a superstar
She's in a class out here by herself"
You know if the good Lord made anything better
He must a kept it for Himself
I was talkin' to a blind man
Talkin' to a blind man the other night
Talkin' to a blind man
Talkin' to a blind man the other night
He said, "Every woman you talkin' about, Buddy"
He said, "Hmm man, what a sight"
He said, "That woman
Man, she's [Incomprehensible]
He said, "That woman
She's like something you've never seen"
She says she should be on centerfold
Of the Playboy magazine
My baby is a superstar
She's in a class by herself
I said, "My, my baby is a superstar
She's in a class by herself
You know if the good Lord made anything else better
He got to have, held it for Himself
My baby is a superstar
And I love her like I do my guitar
My baby is a superstar
And I love her like I do my guitar
I don't care what they say about another woman
Hey here we go
Here we go
I'm sayin' something to you I don't care how you feel
You just don't realize you got yourself a good deal
She's nineteen years old and she got ways just like a baby child
Nothing I can do to please her
I'm just tryin' to make this little woman feel satisfied
I'm sayin' something to you and I don't care if you get mad
You're 'bout the cutest little woman that I'll ever had
She's nineteen years old and she got ways just like a baby child
Nothing I can do to please her, oh no
I'm just tryin' to make this little woman feel satisfied
I'm sayin' something to you and I don't care how you feel
You just don't realize, you know you gotta, you got yourself a good deal
She's nineteen years old and she got ways just like a baby child
Nothing I can do to please her
I'm just tryin' to make this little woman feel satisfied
I can't ask her where she's going, she tells me where she's been
She'll start a conversation, that don't have no end, you know she
She's nineteen years old and she got ways just like a baby child
Nothing I can do to please her
Standin' on the corner
Wait on my girl to come by
Yes standin' on the corner
Waitin' on my girl to come by
Yes I can see nobody's face
And I just gonna break down an' cry
Well I know she's out here
On this street somewhere
Yes I know you're out here woman uh
On this street somewhere
Bye baby now
I found me a new little girl
Yeah hug me baby and uh
Hear me call your name mm
Oh I know you hear me babe I
Keep on callin' your name
Well I didn't hear the answer babe
An' I don't seem to see a dog-gone thing
I'll flag me a cab and I'll
Ride around all over town oh baby
Yes I'll flag me a cab and I think I'll
Ride around all over town
You know if I don't find you woman I ain't gonna let this
Cab here no more put me down
So it's about four o'clock in the mornin' and I'm
Startin' to fall asleep ha ha
I tell the cab driver I just wanna
Find me somethin' to eat
I say I gotta find my woman
And I know she's somewhere somewhere
You know I'm gonna ride I'm gonna ride I say I'm gonna
I've been around a while
I know wrong from right
And since a long time ago
Things been always black and white
Just like you can't judge a book by the cover
We all gotta be careful
How we treat one another
Skin Deep
Skin Deep
Underneath we're all the same
Skin Deep
Skin Deep
Underneath we're all the same
We're all of the same
A man in Louisiana
He never called me by my name
He said "boy do this and boy do that"
But I never once complained
I knew he had a good heart
But he just didn't understand
That I needed to be treated
Just like any other man
Skin Deep
Skin Deep
Underneath we're all the same
Skin Deep
Skin Deep
Underneath we're all the same
We're all of the same
I sat my little child down
when he was old enough to know
I said I fell in this big wide world
You're gonna be all kinda froze
I said son it all comes down to just one simple rule
That you treat everybody just the way
You want them to treat you
Yeah
Skin Deep
Skin Deep
Underneath we're all the same
Skin Deep
Skin Deep
Underneath we're all the same
We're all of the same
Skin Deep
Underneath we're all the same
Skin Deep
Skin Deep
Underneath we're all the same
We're all of the same
I don't need a whole lots of money
I don't need a big fine car
I got everything that a man could ever want
I got more than I could ask for
Yeah , yeah
And I don't have to run around
I don't have to stay out all night
'Cause I got a sweet, sweet loving woman
And she knows just how to treat me right
My baby she's all right
My baby she's clean out of sight
Don't you know she's a some kind of wonderful
Yes she is, some kind of wonderful
Now hold it Buddy's gonna tell you one more thing
And when she holds in her arms
She sets my soul on fire
sets my soul on fire
Lord when my baby kisses me people
My heart becomes filled with desire
When she wraps her loving arms around me
Almost drives me out of my mind
I get funny little feelings inside of me
Chills run up and down my spine
My baby she's all right
My baby she's a clean out of sight
Don't you know she's a some kind of wonderful
Yes she is, some kind of wonderful
Now hold it let me tell you one more thing
Tell me is there anybody
That's got a sweet little woman like mine
There's got to be somebody
That's got a sweet little woman like mine
Now tell me
Can I get a witness
Can I get a witness
Can I get a witness
Got to get a witness
Can I get a witness
Can I get a witness
I wanna talk about my baby
Some kind of wonderful
Talkin' about my baby
Some kind of wonderful
Talkin' about my baby
Some kind of wonderful
Talkin' about my baby
Some kind of wonderful
She's everything I need
So much more than a man can want
Some kind of wonderful
WOKE UP THIS MORNING OH WHAT A SHOCK FOUND OUT THE KEY NO LONGER FITS THE LOCK SHE SAID BABY GO BACK WHERE YOU BEEN CAUSE WHILE YOUR SLIPPIN' OUT SOMEONE ELSE IS SLIPPIN' IN.
Woman you must be stone down crazy
Either you're going to lose your mind
Yes I said baby you must be stone crazy
Either you're going to lose your mind
Yes I wanna know how could you treat me so dirty baby
You must think my little heart is made of iron
Lord as I sit here in my dark room
Tears rolling down from my eyes
Yes I sit, I sit here in my dark room
Tears rolling all down from my eyes
Yes you know my little baby looked at me and said daddy
Ooh, God knows you're the hurted child
Oh yeah
Somebody come and get me
Yes I think I'm going back down south
People where the weather suits my clothes
Yes I said I'm going back down south
People where the weather suits my clothes
Yes you know playing around in this big city so long man
Ooh, 'til I'm almost just done froze
Darling you must be stone crazy
Or either you're going to lose your mind
Yes I said woman you must be stone down crazy
Either you're going to lose your mind
Yes I wanna know how could you treat me so low down and dirty
You must be think my little heart is made of iron
Wow as I sit here in my dark room
Tears rolling all down my eyes
Yes I sit, I sit right here right here in my dark room
Tears rolling all down from my eyes
Yes you know my little girl looked at me and said
Ooh, my daddy is a hurted child
Ooh, look-a here now
Somebody come here
Lord I believe I'm going back down south
Where the weather suits my clothes
Yes I believe I'm going back down south
People where the weather suits my clothes
Yes you know that I've played around in these big cities so long man
Now if you've ever been down to New Orleans
Then you can understand just what I mean
All through the week it's quiet as a mouse
And on Saturday night they go from house to house
You don't have to pay the usual admission
If you're a cook, a waiter or a good musician
So if you happen to be just passin' by
Stop in at the Saturday Night Fish Fry
It was rockin', it was rockin'
You never seen such scufflin' and shufflin' 'til the break of dawn
It was rockin', it was rockin'
You never seen such scufflin' and shufflin' 'til the break of dawn
Now my buddy and me was on the main stem
Foolin' around just me and him
We decided we could use a little something to eat
So we went to a house on Rampart Street
We knocked on the door and it opened with ease
And a lush little Miss said, "Come in, please"
Before we could even bat an eye
We were right in the middle of a big fish fry
It was rockin', it was rockin'
You never seen such scufflin' and shufflin' 'til the break of dawn
It was rockin', it was rockin'
You never seen such scufflin' and shufflin' 'til the break of dawn
Now the folks was havin' the time of their life
Sam was jivin' Jimmie's wife
Over in the corner was a beat up grand
Being played by a big fat piano man
Now some of these folks wore expensive frocks
Some of them had on bobbie socks
Everybody was nice and high
At particular Saturday Night Fish Fry
It was rockin', it was rockin'
You never seen such scufflin' and shufflin' 'til the break of dawn
It was rockin', it was rockin'
You never seen such scufflin' and shufflin' 'til the break of dawn
Now my buddy and me, we fell right in
We hollered, "Let the joy begin"
Now we're thinking we could get a good place to play
But the party was already on the way
All of a sudden the lights went low
And everybody lay straight for the front door
Man, I was so scared I didn't know where to go
I stood right there and I fell on the floor
It was rockin', it was rockin'
I never seen such scufflin' and shufflin' 'til the break of dawn
It was rockin', it was rockin'
I never seen such scufflin' and shufflin' 'til the break of dawn
Now the women was screamin' and jumpin' and yellin'
The bottles was flyin', and the fish was smellin'
Way up above all the noise we made
Somebody hollered, "You better get outta here, this is a raid"
I didn't know we was breaking the law
But somebody reached over and hit me on the jaw
They had us blocked off from front to back
They was puttin' 'em in the wagon like potatoes in a sack
It was rockin', it was rockin'
You never seen such scufflin' and shufflin' 'til the break of dawn
It was rockin', it was rockin'
I never seen such scufflin' and shufflin' 'til the break of dawn
I knew I could get away if I had a chance
But I was shakin' like I had that St. Vitus dance
I tried to crawl in under a bath tab
When a policeman said, "Where are you goin' there, bub?"
Now they got us out of there like a house on fire
They put us all in the black Maria
They might have missed a pitiful few
But they got both me and my buddy too
It was rockin', it was rockin'
You never seen such scufflin' and shufflin' 'til the break of dawn
It was rockin', it was rockin'
You never seen such scufflin' and shufflin' 'til the break of dawn
Well we headed for jail in a dazed condition
They booked each one of us on suspicion
My chick came down and went my bail
And finally got me outta that rotten jail
If you ever want to get a fist in your eye
Just mention a Saturday Night Fish Fry
I don't care how many fish in the sea
But don't ever mention a fish to me
It was rockin', it was rockin'
You never seen such scufflin' and shufflin' 'til the break of dawn
It was rockin', it was rockin'
Well I tried to tell you baby
But it didn't make no sense
Now you've got me baby
Up against the fence
Ain't that a shame shame shame
Shame on you
Ah it's a shame shame shame
Shame the way you do
Well now you've been gone in the evening
Don't even say you've gone
Six o'clock in the morning
You come walkin' home
Ain't that a shame shame shame
Shame on you
Ah it's a shame shame shame
Shame the way you do
Well I've been sittin' here waitin'
For you to come home
When I wake up baby
I'm sittin' there all alone
Ain't that a shame shame shame
Shame on you
Ah it's a shame shame shame
Let me show you I love you
Each and every day
I would not havin'
Any other way
My mother she taught me
How to show you my love
Because my way's in action
Speak much louder than words
Put your arms around my waist
And look direct in my face
And I'll show you I love you
And no one else can take your place
Let me show you I love you
Each and every day
Because I would not never havin'
Any other way
Put your arms around my waist
And look me direct in my face
And I'll show you I love you
Don't move
Hey girl
Well now I'd sure like to make love with you
Hey baby girl yeah
Girl I sure would like to make love to you
I'm not gonna take too much of your time
Because you know a little dab will do
I don't want much
I just want a minute or two
No I don't want much
I just want a minute or two
You see I told you
Little girl a little dab will do
Look-a-here
Oh for a while little girl
Then I'll be through with you
Oh for a while little girl yeah
Then I'll be through with you
Then I'll see you
I told you a little dab would do
For cryin' out loud
I just can't do what I used to do
Oh Lord for cryin' out loud
I just can't, I just can't, I just can't do what I used to do
So take me for with I am
And I told you a little dab will do
You better leave, you better leave my little girl alone
You better go on and leave, mister
You better leave my little girl alone
Lord, before I get evil
Lord, you know I'm gonna do something wrong
You call my house all hours of the night
Well let me, let me tell you mister that's a sure way to start a fight
Now why don't you just go on man and leave my little girl alone
You know I can get evil sometimes
Baby, you know I'm gonna do something wrong
You call my house not later than yesterday
Because I picked up the extension and I heard every word you say
Why don't you just go on man and leave my little girl alone
Lord, you know I can get evil sometimes
Well now, oh wee baby, you know I declare, you sure look fine
I said, ooh whee baby, you know I declare, you sure look fine
Well there's a girl like you a make many a man change his mind
I said, baby, when you walk you know you shake like a willow tree
I said, baby, when you walk woman you know you, shake like a willow tree
Why does a girl like you could love to make a fool of me
Let me love you baby, let me love you baby
Let me love you baby, let me love you baby
Let me love you baby 'til your good love drive me crazy
Well now baby, when you walk you know you, shake like a willow tree
Yeah, baby, when you walk woman you know, you shake just like a willow tree
Babe a woman like you, ah would love to make a fool of me
Let me love you baby, let me love you baby
Let me wow baby, let me love you baby
Hit it
Wow, hit it one time now
Go ahead on, huh
Hit it, hit it
Now let me get a little bit of I love ya
Hit it, ooh, hit it now, huh
Go ahead on now, huh, hey
Oh, go ahead
Go ahead on, baby
Go ahead on, do what you wanna now
Do it what you wanna, baby
Do any kind of dance
As a little lamb
Go ahead on and do it, baby
Do it now, do it, baby
Do it, baby, do it, baby
Do it, baby
Go ahead, do it, baby
Go on and do it, baby
Do it, baby, do it, baby
Do it, do it, do it, do it
Do it, do it, do it, do it
Alright, huh
I just wanna play my
I just wanna play my axe
Let me, let me, let me, play my
Let me play my axe one time
Alright [Incomprehensible]
You said before we met
That your life was awful tame
Well, I took you to a night club
And the whole band knew your name
Oh well, baby, baby, baby
I've got news for you
Oh, somehow your story don't ring true
Well, I've got news for you
Well, you phoned me you'd be late
'Cause you took the wrong express
And then you walked in smiling
With your lipstick all a mess
Oh, let me say to you little mama
Wo, I've got news for you
Ah, your story don't ring true lil' girl
Yeah, I've got news for you, baby
Oh, you wore a diamond watch
Claimed it was from Uncle Joe
When I looked at the inscription
It said, "Love from Daddy-o"
Oh, well baby, wo lil' girl
I wanna say I've got news for you
Ah, if you think that jive will do
Let me tell you, oh, I've got news for you
Well, somehow your story don't ring true
I am, I'm innocent man
I am, I'm innocent man
You know about it
You surely don't know
But I think that
Probably you'll sure understand
I didn't get a chance to defend myself
I hope it makes it better for someone else
You said, you thought I was using PCP
That's why you all was beating up on me
I am a innocent man
I am a innocent man
You know about it
You surely don't know
But I think that
Probably you'll sure understand
Going downtown
To Kansas Stew
Bring back the second cousin
That little Johnny Cocheroo
Now ain't that a man
I spell mmm, aaa child, nnn
I spell man
No B, O child, Y
I spell mannish boy
I'm a man
I'm a full grown man
I'm a man
I'm a hoochie, coochie man
Lord knows I've tried
To do what's right
One whole year of staying home
Both day and night
'Cause I smell a mean trouble
Way over yonder you know I heard a mean, yeah
Always in trouble people
Lord they just won't let me be
The people talk about me
Both night and day
I said, Lord please forgive them
And go the other way
'Cause I smell a mean trouble
Lord I smell trouble ahead of me, oh yeah
Yes, we're always in trouble
Lord, they just won't let me be
And from now on
I will not run and hide
I'll face trouble with a smile
And hope it pass me by
'Cause I smell a mean trouble
Way over yonder, I say I heard a mean
Yes, we're always in trouble
They just won't, they just won't
Got my nose open baby
You got my nose open baby
Ahh huh
You got my nose open woman
But, I got my eyes on you
You got me weepin' and moanin'
Got me weepin' and moanin'
Hey, you got me weepin' and moanin', oh yes
You got me weepin' and moanin' woman
But I got my eyes on you, look a here
Got my nose open baby
You got my nose open woman
Uhh, ohh, yeah yeah
Got my nose open baby
Look over here....look over there
Look all around me everywhere
Well it doesn't really matter
Which way I wanna go
'cause the night is a fallin'
And I'm a long long way from home
I am a long long way from home, yes I am
Listen to this....listen to that
People tryin' to tell me
Where it's at
But it really doesn't matter
I hear it all the time
And I'm standing at the crossroads
'bout to move on down the line
About to move on down the line
Well I've been over here....been over there
Friends all around me everywhere
But it really doesn't matter
Which way I wanna go
I'm a million miles from nowhere
And that's a long long way from home
And that's a long long way from home
Yeah a million miles from nowhere
And that's a long long way from home
And that's a long long way from home
I've got a sweet little angel
And I love the way she spreads her wings
Yes I got a sweet little angel
And I love the way she spreads her wings
Yes when she spreads her wings around me
You know I get joy in everything
I asked my baby for a nickel
And she gave me a twenty dollar bill
Yes asked my baby for a nickel
And she gave me a twenty dollar bill
I asked her for a little drink of liquor
My baby gave me a whiskey still
Yes if my baby should quit me
Lord I do believe I would die
Yes if my baby my baby should quit me
I do believe I would die
Yes if you don't love me little angel
Please please tell me the reason why
I just got to have a little more
Pretty girl, you know it's a dirty shame
You let these homely girls come up and take your man
Pretty baby, everybody knows you are fine
Well these homely girls make many a man change his mind
Pretty girl, you better watch yourself
Before these homely girls will put you on the shelf
Pretty baby, you really look so good
But these a homely girls, they're wrecking this neighborhood
Pretty girl, well don't you play them cheap
These homely girls can treat a man so sweet
Pretty baby, this is the real McCoy
Well these homely girls will make many a man jump for joy
Pretty girl you better watch your man
Ah these a homely girls are just a raisin' sand
Pretty baby, these homely girls are smart
You know you can't tell the difference once you get 'em in the dark
Pretty baby
Homely baby
Wo you baby
Know just what to do
Pretty girl, you know it's a dirty shame
You let these homely girls come up and take your man
Pretty baby, everybody knows you are fine
Pretty girl, well don't you play them cheap
These homely girls can treat a man so sweet
Pretty baby, this is the real McCoy
Well these homely girls will make many a man jump for joy
Pretty baby
Homely Baby

Shes watchin' me like a hawk

But if you touch me somethin's got to give
I live the life I love and I Love The Life I Live.
So if you see me and you think Im wrong
Dont worry bout me just leave me alone
Sweet life and nothin' but a thrill
I live the life I love and I Love The Life I Live.
My diamond ring and my money too
Tomarrow night I could be all for you
The girl moves me at the will
I live the life I love and I Love The Life I Live.
I may spend a thousand on a hap less time
One minute later I may not have a dime
Tomarrow night I could be on the hill
I just want you to know baby the way I feel.
I see her walkin as I pass you by
Dont talk about me cause I could be high
Just forgive me if you will
I live the life I love and I Love The Life I Live.
Oh, I've got no one there for now
Since my baby's love had been done with
Well, I don't know what to do
I sit and cry and sing the blues
Well, no one to cry on her sweet name
And my heart is filled with pain
Oh I only think of you
I sit and cry and sing the blues
Blues found in my bloodstream
Blues found in my home
Blues found in my soul
I got blues all in my bones
Oh no one to depend on
Since my baby's love had been gone
Oh I don't know what to do
I sit and cry and sing the blues
Oh yeah!
Come here baby!
Oh no one to depend on
Since my baby's love has been gone
Whoa, I don't know what to do
I sit and cry and sing the blues
I sit and cry and sing the blues
Baby when you left
Got your bags all packed
Now you change your mind
And you wanna be back
I say it's too damn bad
Too damn bad for you
Oh I would like to help you honey
But it's too damn bad for you
The grass is looking greener
On the other side
You found your sugar daddy
But I know you ain't satisfied
Weel it's too damn bad
Too damn bad for you
I would like to help you honey
But it's too damn bad for you
So you're calling in your phone
Like a dog without a bone
Your tail between your legs
You say you wanna come back home
Well it's too damn bad
Too damn bad for you
Oh I would like to help you honey
But it's too damn bad for you
Mama said, "Son, someday you'll learn this lesson
Hard times never last, each day is a blessing
Keep your eyes on that kingdom waiting down the road
Across that River Jordan, everybody's got to go"
Everybody's got to go, heaven only knows
Way up in the sky to that sweet by and by
Everybody's got to go
The day my brother died I thought about a song
My mama used to sing before she passed on
About our Savior Jesus calling his children home
He'll leave no one behind, everybody's got to go
Everybody's got to go, heaven only knows
Way up in the sky to that sweet by and by
Everybody's got to go, everybody's got to go
I know I am not a young man but I look back over my youth
And think of those who saved me as I wandered from the truth
I'm not afraid of dying, when it come my time I'll know
I'll meet you over yonder, everybody's got to go
Everybody's got to go, heaven, heaven only knows
Way up in the sky to that sweet by and by
Everybody, way up in the sky to that sweet by and by
Everybody, everybody's got to go
Ooh, ooh, everybody, everybody's got to go
Ooh, ooh, everybody, everybody's got to go
Ooh, ooh, everybody, heaven only knows
Ooh, ooh, everybody, sweet by and by
Ooh, ooh, everybody, sweet by and by
Ooh, ooh, everybody, ooh, got to go
Ohh, ohhh, ohhh
Listen to me
Listen to me
Listen to me
Never know how much I love you woman
never know how much I care
When you put your arms around me
I get a feeling that is hard to bare
You give me a fever
Sure you give me a fever
Fever
In the morning child
Fever all through the night
Bless my soul I love ya
Take this little heart of mine
When you get me woman
Like you got me
I just have to drink my wine
You give me a fever
Sure you give me a fever
Fever
In the morning child
Fever all through the night
Sun lights up my daytime
Moon lights up the night
My eyes light up
When you call my name
'Cause I know you're gonna treat me right
You give me a fever
Sure you give me a fever
Fever
In the morning child
And fever all through the night
Rock my soul I love my baby
I want you to take my heart away
When you got me
Lord you got me
I don't know how to take it that way
He you give me a fever
I know now yeah
Fever
In the morning child
And fever all through the night
Sun lights up my daytime
Moon lights up my night
My eyes light up
When you call my name
'Cause I know you're gonna treat me right
You give me fever woman
Say you give me fever
Fever
In the morning child
And fever all through the night
Bless my soul and I love ya
Take this little heart of mine
When you got me
Lord you got me
The fever hits my head back twice
Say you give me a fever
I know you give me so much fever
Fever
In the morning child
And fever all through the night
Oh, feeling all right
Feeling all right
I'm feeling so good tonight
Tell me baby you love me
Hope you don't tell me no lie
When you got me
The way you got me
And I just don't want to blow my mind
You give me fever
Say you give me fever
Fever
In the morning child
And fever all through the night
I love you
I love you so much now
Love you
Love you whole bottom of my soul
Tell me that you love me
Then I feel all right
I don't know
The way I feel
If you just don't treat me right
Don't you give me fever
I say you give me fever
Fever
In the morning child
And fever aaaaalll
Oh no, oh no, oh no,
Nonononono
My Sunday woman bring the daily news
My Monday woman bring me socks and shoes
But I let my good gal get you
And I ain't no telling what my Lucy Mae do
My Tuesday woman like that pocket change
That Wednesday woman want the same damn thing
But I let my good gal catch you
And I ain't no telling what my Lucy Mae do
That Thursday woman knock upon my door
That Friday woman man, sure got to go
But I let my good gal catch you
And I ain't no telling what my Lucy Mae do
My Saturday woman totes a Gatling gun
'Cause if you stand she shoot you for you run
But I let my good gal catch you
And I ain't no telling what my Lucy Mae do
Listen
Ain't no telling what my Lucy Mae do
Ain't no telling what my Lucy Mae do
Ain't no telling what my Lucy Mae do
I've got dreams
Dreams to remember
I've got dreams Dreams to remember
Honey I saw you there last night
Another mans arms holding you tight
Nobody knows what I feeled inside
All I know, I walked away and cried
I've got dreams
Dreams to remember
[Listen to me] I've got dreams, rough dreams Dreams to
remember
I know you said he was just a friend
But I saw him kiss you again and again
These eyes of mine, they don't fool me
Why did he hold you so tenderly?
I've got dreams
Dreams to remember
[Listen honey] I've got dreams
Dreams, rough dreams
Dreams to remember
I still want you to stay
I still love you anyway
I still don't want you to ever leave
Girl, you just satisfy me! [Ooh-Wee!]
I know you said he was just a friend
But I saw you kiss him again and again
These eyes of mine, they don't fool me
Why did he hold you so tenderly?
I've got dreams
Dreams to remember
[Listen to me mama]
I've got dreams
Dreams, bad dreams
Dreams, rough dreams
To remember
Don't make me suffer
Dreams, bad dreams
Dreams, rough dreams
To remember
I don't want to lose you
This good thing
That I got
'Cause if I do
I will surely,
surely lose a lot
'Cause your love is better
Than any love I know
It's like thunder and lightning
The way you love me is frightening
You better knock, knock on wood, baby
I'm not superstitious about ya
But I can't take no chance
You got me spinnin', baby
You know I'm in a trance
'Cause your love is better
Than any love I know
It's like thunder, lightning
The way you love me is frightenin'
You better knock, knock, knock on wood, baby
Think I better knock, knock, knock on wood
Think I better knock, knock, knock on wood
Think I better knock, knock, knock on wood
Think I better knock, knock, knock on wood
Think I better knock
It's no secret about it
'Cause with his lovin' touch
He sees to it
That I get enough
With his touch all over
You know it means so much
It's like thunder and lightnin'
The way you love me is frightenin'
You better knock, knock on wood, baby
Think I better knock, knock, knock on wood
Think I better knock, knock, knock on wood
Think I better knock, knock, knock on wood
Think I better knock, knock, knock on wood
I think I'm leaving in the morning,
All your crying won't help you now.
I think I'm leaving in the morning baby, yeah,
All your crying won't help you now.
But the whole time I was with you baby,
Everybody, everybody knowed you weren't no good no how.
Yes it was a long time coming baby,
But you, but you finally made it home.
Yes it was a long time coming baby, yeah,
Oh but you finally made it home.
Yes I want you to realize now baby, yeah,
Darling you know you done me wrong.
You built my hopes so high,
Honey, you let me down so low.
Oh you built, you built my hopes so high baby, yeah,
Oh woman, you let me, you let me down so low.
Yes you got me walking 'round here in circles baby,
Oh I don't know which way to go.
Oh just one more time babe,
Just let me, let me prove my love to you.
Yes just one more, one more time baby, yeah,
Why don't you let me, let me prove my love to you.
I want to do all the little things baby,
I've got the sweetest little angel
And I love the way that she spread her wings
I've got the most adorable sweet little angel
And I love the way that she spread up her wings
When she put her arms around me
I get joy, I get joy, I get joy and everything
Listen to this will ya
I asked my baby for a nickel
And you know what, she gave me a twenty dollar bill, that ain't all
Now listen to this, I asked my baby, my baby
My own sweet baby for a nickel
And she gave me a twenty dollar bill
That's what makes me think
I've got such a sweet little angel
And if she should be sad to leave me
I would break down and cry
If my baby should leave
I think I would lose my poor old horrible mind
If my baby should leave
I do believe I would lose my mind
Because you know what
I've got this sweetest little angel
And I love the way and I love every way
I've got dreams, dreams to remember
I've got dreams, dreams to remember
Honey, I saw you last night
An another mans arms holding you tight
Nobody knows what I feel inside
All I know, I just walked away and cried
I've got dreams, dreams to remember
I've got dreams, dreams to remember
I know you said he was just a friend
But I saw him kissing again and again
These eyes of mine, they don't fool me
Why did he hold you so tenderly?
I've got dreams, dreams to remember
I've got dreams, dreams to remember
Rough dreams
I still want you to stay
I still love you anyway
I don't want you to ever leave
Girl, you just satisfy me
I know you said he was just a friend
But I saw you kiss him again and again
These eyes of mine don't fool me
Why did he hold you so tenderly?
I've got dreams, dreams to remember
Listen, mama
I've got dreams, dreams to remember
Listen to me, mama
Don't make me suffer
Don't let me, don't let me suffer
(I've got dreams, dreams to remember)
Don't, don't do it
Don't do it baby, don't make me suffer
Don't let me, don't let me
Don't let me suffer, no, no, no
Don't, don't, don't let me suffer
Bad dreams
Don't you, don't you, don't you let me
Don't you, you, you got me where you wanted now
(Muddy Waters)
Well I'm goin' away to leave
Won't be back no more
Goin' back down south, child
Don't you want to go?
Woman I'm troubled, I be all worried in mind
Well baby I just can't be satisfied
And I just can't keep from cryin'.
Well I feel like snappin'
Pistol in your face
I'm gonna let some graveyard
Lord be your resting place
Woman I'm troubled, I be all worried in mind
Well baby I can never be satisfied
And I just can't keep from cryin'.
Well now all in my sleep
Hear my doorbell ring
Looking for my baby
I couldn't see not a doggone thing
Woman I was troubled, I was all worried in mind
Well honey I could never be satisfied
And I just couldn't keep from cryin'.
Well I know my little old baby
She gonna jump and shout
That old train be late man, Lord
And I come walking out
I be troubled, I be all worried in mind
Well honey ain't no way in the world could we be satisfied
Ain't no sunshine when she gone
It's not warm when she's away
Ain't no sunshine when she's gone
She's always gone too long
Anytime she goes away
Wonder this time where he's gone
Wonder if he's gone to stay
Ain't no sunshine when he's gone
This house just ain't no home
Anytime he goes away
I know, I know, I know, I know
I know, I know, I know, I know
I know, I know, I know, I know
I know, I know, I know, I know
I know, I know, I know, I know
I know, I know, I know, I know
I know, I know, I know, I know
I know, I know, I know, I know
I think I should leave the young thing alone
'Cause ain't no sunshine when she gone
Ain't no sunshine when she gone
Only darkness everyday
Ain't no sunshine when she gone
This house just ain't no home
Anytime she goes away
Anytime she goes away
Anytime she goes away
Anytime she goes away
Anytime she goes away
Anytime he goes away
Anytime she goes away
Anytime she goes away
Hello San Francisco
Oh, we finally got a chance to meet
Hello, hello San Francisco
Wo, we finally got a chance to meet
I knew someday
That I would walk up and down your hilly streets
You know I love Chicago
Someone tell me it's nineteen and sixty eight
You know I love, I love Chicago
Somewhere around nineteen and sixty eight
But some of my good friends told me
That my baby was headed toward that Golden Gate
You know, I heard she had a boyfriend
And this cat's name was Buddy Joe
You know, I heard she had a boyfriend
And this cat's name was Buddy Joe
I heard he was a big time gambler
and he was running a game down on Philmo
Oh somebody tell me, tell me
Where can this Philmo street be found
Oh somebody, somebody better tell me
Where in the world can this Philmo street be found
You know I'm gonna find my woman down there
Well, worry, worry, worry, baby
Worry's all I can do
Well, worry, worry, worry, woman
Worry's all I can do
Yes, my life is so miserable, baby
Woman, it is all on account of you
Yes, it hurts me, it hurts me so bad
when you said that we were through
Yes, it hurts me, it hurts me so bad woman
when you said, when you said we were through
Yes, uh, you know I'd rather be dead, woman
Woman than to be here lonesome and blue
It was so lonely, somebody
Come here somebody, come here now
Goodbye, baby
Oh, you know I sure had a wonderful time
Oh, goodbye, goodbye, goodbye, goodbye, goodbye babe
Lord have mercy, Lord have mercy
We sure had a wonderful time
You know you're gonna run me crazy
Blind man standin' on, on the corner
He said I don't, ah, I don't need a dollar
And don't you give me a dime
Until you bring back that little girl
Ow my
Yeah
Yeah
Yeah
The people try to tell me to stop cryin'
And find me someone new
'Cause when the good Lord made one woman
Halleluja, don't you know he made two
And I can't let her go no no
Lord Lord know I can't let her go
Yeah
And I can't let her go no no no
Lord Lord Lord Lord I can't let her go no
Oh baby
Oh baby
Little darling
I wanna do you, yes
Know what a shape I'm in
Lord, Lord I've been standin' here
Oh, I think about you baby
Yeah just for the hell of it
You know
When I left home
I left the country and there was a
A thing about the blues
You know my mother and father
Are no longer with me to
But they did tell me
Sometime ago says a
Go ahead alone
You know what
They said a
You may not be
The best in town
Just try to be the best Buddy
until it's about to come around
And I can't let it go no no
Lord
Yeah yeah
And I can't let it go no no no
Lord Lord Lord I can't let her go no
Yeah
And I can't let it go no no
Lord Lord I can't let my baby go no no no no no
hey hey hey hey hey
Oh baby, shhh
Huh huh awwwaw how how he he he baby
Yeah come on fellows play a while now
Yeah awwwww
Ohhhh
Shhh come on come on fellows
Come on come on tell me about it
I Lord I was blind and I could not see
Ohh but long as I play the blues it's alright with me, hey
Well, I done got old,
Can't do the things I used to
'Cause I'm an old man
Well, I done got old,
Well, I done got old,
I can't do the things I used to do
'Cause I done got old,
Remember the day, baby
That done passed and gone
When I could love you
Most all night long
But now things gone changed
And I done got old
I can't do the things I used to do
'Cause I'm an old man
I can't look like I used to
I can't walk like I used to
I can't love like I used to,
And now things gone changed
When I done got old
I can't do the things I used to do
Because I'm an old man
And I'm an old man
I'm an old man
I'm an old man
And I'm not the same
How could you stand there and tell me you love me
When you don't give a damn about yourself?
How could you stand there and tell me you love me
And woman, you don't give a damn about yourself?
You know if you really did, woman, you would be carrying on with someone else.
I want you to stop right there in your tracks, baby
Honey, don't you go no further.
I want you to stop right there in your tracks, woman
Honey, don't you go no further.
You know your lyin' just like a dog, and you standin' there lookin' just like another.
Oh, you keep wasting my time,
Honey, you running around all night long.
Oh, you keep wasting my time, I say
Honey, you running around all night.
If I fight like a dog all day long, honey, tell me when you're gonna bite.
Tonight, I might cut you loose
I think I found me another lover.
Tonight, I might cut you loose
'Cause I think I found myself another lover.
You're lyin' to me just like a dog, and you know you're looking just like another.
[Guitar Solo]
I'm sick an tired of all your lies, darlin'
Honey, you can go back to your mother.
I'm sick an tired of all your lies, darlin'
And honey, you can go back to your mother.
The woman I love man you she kind-a
She kind-a big and fat
And what I like about the woman man
Is kind-a good like that
You gotta lover her with a feelin' man
Oh, or you better not love this woman at all
You better love her with a feelin' man
Or you better not a love her at all
She said I love you Buddy you know and
There ain't no doubt
I'm gonna open up my little book and
Let you knock you goddam' fool self out
You gotta to love her with a feelin'
Or you better not love at all
You got to love her with feelin' man
Or you better not love this child at all
Let me hear, let me get a little bit of that, ah..
One leg in the east
One leg in the west ah
I'm right down the middle ah
Tryin' to do my best
You gotta love her with a feelin' man
Or you better not love this woman at all
You better love her with a feelin' man
No use crying, don't you understand?
You're all false, baby, you lost a damn good man
Too much drama and too many tears
You don't have to go home but you can't stay here
Too soon, baby, that's much too soon, yes
If I never see you again, it'll be too soon
Liking me, baby, would you yackety-yak?
Lock up your kitchen and don't come back
Tired of your mouth running overtime
Use a ball breaker, baby, but you won't break mine
Too soon, baby, that's much too soon, no
If I never see you again, baby, that's much too soon
If you're the last woman on this earth
And I can have all the honey up under your skirt
If I was pony as a Billy goat
I'd still say woman, get your ass out the door
It's too soon, baby, that's much too soon
Jump jump here
Jump jump there
You jump jump jump
Everywhere
When you mellow down easy
Mellow down easy
Mellow down easy when you really wanna blow your top
Shake shake here

Mary had a little lamb
It's fleece was white as snow, yeah
Everywhere the child went
The lamb, the lamb was sure to go, yeah
He followed her to school one day
And broke the teacher's rule
And what a time did they have
That day at school
Tisket, tasket, baby alright
A green and yellow basket, now
I wrote a letter to my baby
And on my way I passed it, now
Well now, ol' Mary Ann
You know you sure look fine
Well now, ol' Mary Ann
You know you sure look fine
Well now, ol' Mary Ann
I love you all the time
Well now, ol' Mary Ann
I said baby don't you know
Well now, ol' Mary Ann
I said baby don't you know
Well now, ol' Mary Ann
You know I love you so
Well now, ol' Mary Ann
Can I take you home tonight
Well now, ol' Mary Ann
Can I take you home tonight
Well now, ol' Mary Ann
I don't care what nobody say
I'm a man of a many words
I spit things so loud and clear
You've got to believe every word you heard
I rap strong and you know right along
Come here girl let me turn you on
Now come on now, yeah, now
I was hauled off to jail late last night
With no one to go my bail
I rapped strong to the judge early this morning
Guess what judge put the cops in jail

Hello world
Have you seen Miss Ida B?
Hello world, yeah
Have you seen Miss Ida B?
She's a coffee colored brown
And she looked something like a Japanese
I love you, Miss Ida B, yeah
And I just can't, I just can't hardly keep it in
I love you, Miss Ida B
And I just can't keep, just can't keep it in
I'm in love with you, Miss Ida B, baby
Ever since, ever since you was a kid
Baby, when I'm gone
Who you gonna let walk in and take my place?
When I'm gone, baby yeah
Who you gonna let walk in and take my place?
I hate to even think about, yeah
I was standin' at the station,
ten to midnight in the rain
I was mindin' my own bus'ness,
waiting for that midnight train
Nobody in sight, starin' at my shoes,
I took out my paper to find me some good news
Mindin' my own bus'ness,
when the ticket man calls my name
Yeah, yeah, babe
There ain't no midnight train
There ain't no midnight train
There ain't no midnight train
Comin' down the line
So I say, "If it ain't too much trouble,
when's the local out of town?"
His reply: "Two a.m."
If I'm leavin' local-bound
I can catch it in forty minutes,
if I want to grab the express
But the local trains are hard to come by,
this time of night, more or less
Listen, said
There ain't no midnight train
There ain't no midnight train
There ain't no midnight train
Comin' down the line
So I stood for forty minutes,
it was raining and it was cold
When the express rolled down the track,
I did not care where it was gonna go
Yeah, yeah
He said
There ain't no midnight train
There ain't no midnight train
There ain't no midnight train
What's this a-here goin all around town
The people they say they're gonna put the kid down
Oh no
Oh look at what you did
You can call it what you want to
I call it messin' with the kid
You know the kid's no child and I don't play
I says what I mean and I mean what I say
Oh yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah
Oh look at what you did
You can call it what you want to
I call it messin' with the kid
You know the kid's no child and I don't play
I says what I mean and I mean what I say
Oh yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah
Oh look at what you did
You can call it what you want to
I call it messin' with the kid
We're gonna take the kid's car and drive around town
Tell everybody you're not puttin' him down
Oh yeah yeah yeah yeah
Oh look at what you did
You can call it what you want to
I call it messin' with the... yeah

They all keep coming back night after night
When it come to loving, I ain't never done

Drink wine with kings and the Rolling Stones
I got a few scars from the battles I won
'Cause I'm 74 years young
I've been all around the world, everywhere is home
Drink wine with kings and the Rolling Stones

Tramp
That's right, that's what you are
(Incomprehensible)
You know what? I'm no tramp
You know what, Otis?
I don't care what you say, you're still a tramp
What?
That's right
You haven't even got a fat bankroll in your pocket
You probably haven't even got twenty-five cents
I got six Cadillacs, five Lincolns
Four Fords, six Mercuries, three T-Birds, Mustang
Ooh, I'm a lover
You're true about me
My Mama was, my Papa too
(Incomprehensible)
I tell you one thing
Well tell me
I'm the only son of a gun, yeah this side of the sun
Alright
You're a tramp, Otis
No I'm not
I don't care what you say, you're still a tramp
Don't call me that
Look here you ain't got no money
I got everything
You can't buy me all those minks and sables and all that stuff I want
I can buy you minks, rats, frogs, squirrels, rabbits
Anything you want, woman
Look, you can go out in the Georgia woods catch them, baby
Oh, you foolin'
You're still a tramp
That's alright
You a tramp, Otis, you just a tramp
That's alright
(Incomprehensible)
You wear overalls, you need a haircut, baby
(Incomprehensible)
Cut off some of that hair off your head
Lay lady lay, lay across my big brass bed, Lay lady lay, lay across my big brass bed.
Whatever colors you have in your mind Ill show them to you and youll see them shine.
Lay lady lay, lay across my big brass bed Stay lady stay, stay with your man a while Until the break of day, let me see you make smile.
His clothes are dirty, but his hands are clean And youre the best thing that hes ever seen.
Stay lady stay, stay with your man a while.
Why wait any longer for the world to begin? You can have your cake and eat it too Why wait any longer for the one you love When hes standing in front of you?
Lay lady lay, lay across my big brass bed Stay lady stay, stay while the night is still ahead.
I long to see you in the morning light I long to reach for you in the night.
She said she liked to party
She, sure looked good
She said, let me show you what I got
Under my hood
She slid on over
And she, called me honey
She said, before you get a kiss [msss]
You got to show me the money
Show me the money
Well, I'm looking for my baby
And when I find my baby
I'm going to kick back the rugs
I'm gonna pull down the shades
Well, I know everything
Gonna work out fine
Just me and my baby
And this glass of wine
On a Saturday night
On a Saturday night
Now listen, if we're gonna have a good time
Might as well have a damn good time
Gonna kick back the rugs
We're gonna pull down the shades
'Cause I got to get to you
To be with you
'Cause your kind of love
I can never get enough
On a Saturday night, oh yes
On a Saturday night, ooh baby
Now listen, well, I'm looking for my baby
And when I find my baby
We're gonna go out the back door
I'm gonna lock up the front door
Well, I know everything
Gonna work out fine
Just me and my baby
And this big bottle of wine
On a Saturday night
On a Saturday night
Now fellows, you know what I'm talking about
On a Saturday night
Let's do it right
On a Saturday night
On a Saturday night, oh darling
On a Saturday night
Don't forget, lock up the front door
I don't wanna hear nobody askin' no more
Don't tell me things that I wanna hear
Just to please my ear
Yeah that drives me crazy
Girl, I'm gonna ask you one more time
What's on your mind?
Cause the signals hazy
You're not the kind of girl who laughs at me
When I tell you all the things I wanna be
And that's why I plead
Baby, baby, baby, please don't leave me
Baby, baby, baby, please don't leave me
Baby, baby, baby, please don't leave me out
Oh what would I do
If I couldn't talk to you?
Come on let's go out a while
And find that smile
That you keep on losing
Girl, this world can be so cold
But we'll both grow old
If our words get frozen
I'll be around when you want me
And I'll be quiet when you can't be
I would never leave you lonely
If you'd be my one and only
If you ever had a secret
Yeah you know I could keep it
I gotta sit what can I do
Cause I can't stand the thought -
My key don't fit your lock
When I come to your door
No, I said, my key won't fit your lock
When I try to put it in your door
You know I got a funny, funny feeling
You don't want me around no more
I left a message last Monday
Just like the Monday before
By the time I've got to Friday
Lord knows I had left five or six more
Now my key don't fit your lock
But I try to stick it in your door
I saw you on the street this morning
Walking with that other man
I could tell him in holding
Much more than your little hand
Now there's talk all over neighborhood
He's thinking about steeping in
My key don't fit your lock
When I try to put it in your door
I said, my key won't fit your lock
When I try to walk it in your door
I got this funny, funny feeling
They called it stormy Monday, but Tuesday is as just as bad
Oh, they called it, they called it stormy Monday, but Tuesday, Tuesday is as just as bad
Oh, Wednesday is worst and Thursday oh so sad
The eagle flies on Friday now, Saturday I'll go out to play
Oh, the eagle, the eagle flies on Friday

I say, Lord have mercy, Lord have mercy on me
But Lord, Lord have mercy Lord have mercy on me
You know I'm crazy 'bout my baby
Lord, please send my baby back on to me
Help me out here man, help me out
Sun rise in the east, it set up in the west
Yes, the sun rise in the east baby, and it set up in the west

'Cause it stinks all over you, say
You're dipping and double dippin'
And that's the dirty name, yeah
But guess what, baby?
Don't you know that two can play the game?
Yes, I popped up my entire house
Broke up my dirty dishes
You better [Incomprehensible]
Running 'round one of the bitches
[Incomprehensible], hush your mouth
Put your hands down too, yeah
'Cause when you point your finger
You got three pointing back at you
It won't break my heart if you say goodbye
I ain't going to suffer and I doubt you ain't [Incomprehensible]

Real, real true love, is like a burning, burning flame
My love for you will live through storm and rain
My love, my love for you is real.
My love for you, words can never express
My love, my love for you is real.
God, God only knows, that I'll love you, love you best
With only you my love could ever rest
My love for you will live forever

Forever and a day
Won't you show me in your own sweet way?
Within, within my heart, I really need, need you dear
Sometimes true love can make a, make a man shed tears
My love for you is real.
It's your time now baby
Ohh but it's gonna be mine after awhile
I said it's your time right now baby
Lord but it's gonna be mine after awhile
You know you know if things don't change
I'm gonna move on down
She stayed out last night
And do you know she just walked in
The girl is gettin' ready
She's going back out again
I said just wait one minute
Just before you go
She didn't even look at me
She just turned and walked out the door
It's your time, it's your time, it's your time right now
Ohh, I gotta, I gotta, I gotta feelin'
Ohh it's gonna, it's gonna, it's gonna be my time after awhile
I got a look through my window
And guess what I seen
My baby sat with another man
In a long black limosine
I said it's your time, it's your time
Yes you know I, you know I got that feelin' woman
Baby it's gonna be my time after awhile
I just wanna talk to my baby:
And here's what I wanna say
Go ahead on and mistreat me
But every every dog got his day wow
Somebody better come here and get me baby
I know you're getting sick and tired of me baby, this that I can plainly see
But deep from the bottom of my heart, baby, I know, you're hurting me
But just as sure, sure as you are born to die
But, baby, I love you, and you know, that's no lie
I'd rather fight a bear, baby, jump down in a lions den
Than to hear you keep on telling me baby that this is the end
But just as sure, baby, sure as you are born to die
But, baby, I love you, and you know, that's no lie
Alright! Have mercy baby! Yes, yes, yes
Yes, just look how you're doing me, baby, since1 you got up on your feet
You're going away to leave me, baby, I got this without no meat
But just as sure, sure as you are born to die
But, baby, I love you, and you know, that's no lie
Oh yeah, baby
Sittin' here, thousand miles from nowhere
People, I'm in my one room country little shack
I'm sittin' here, thousand miles from nowhere
People, I'm in my own, own one room country little shack
All my worries and companion
Is a old, is a old eleven foot cotton sack
I'm gonna leave, oh, early in the mornin'
People, because I'm 'bout to go out of my mind
I'm gonna leave you early in the mornin'
People because, just because I'm 'bout to go out of my mind
I'm gonna find me some kind of good woman
Even if she's dumb, deaf, crippled or blind
Play your piano [Incomprehensible]
Yeah, yeah
Lord, you make me feel so good this morning, do it again
Have mercy, have mercy on me, have mercy on me
Alright, yes, yes, yes, oh Lord, have mercy
You don't know
You don't know how, how I feel
Lord, have mercy down in this cotton field
You don't know
People, people, you don't know how I feel
Have mercy in this cotton field
I know you're out there havin' a good time
Why don't you, why don't you make connection with me
And give me some good deal?
Let me have a little bit of Otis Spann, please
So many ways
So many ways you can get the blues
So many ways
So, so many ways you can get the blues
Yes, when you're down here on one of these cotton fields
I come up hard, baby but now I'm cool
I didn't make it, sugar, playin' by the rules
I come up hard, baby but now I'm fine
I'm checkin' trouble sugar, movin' down the line
I come up hard, baby but that's okay
'Cause trouble man don't get in my way
I come up hard, baby, I've been for real
Gonna keep movin', gonna go to town
I come up hard, baby, I'm gettin' down
There's only three things that for sure
Taxes, death and trouble
This I know, baby, this I know, sugar
Girl, I ain't gon' let it sweat me, baby
Got me singin', yeah, yeah, whoa
I come up hard, I've had to fight
Take care of my business with all my might
I come up hard, I had to win
Then start all over and win again
I come up hard but that's okay
'Cause trouble man don't get in my way
I know some places and I've seen some faces
I've got good connections they dig in my directions
What people say that's okay
They don't bother me, whoo
Ready to make it, don't fool with no women
Don't care 'bout no trouble got myself together
I feel a kind of protection is all around me
This I know, baby
Girl, I ain't gonna let it sweat me, baby
I come up hard but now I'm cool
I didn't make it, sugar, playin' by the rules
I come up hard, baby but now I'm fine
You know I'm a crawlin' kingsnake baby, and I rules my
den
You know I'm a crawlin' kingsnake baby, and I rules my
den
I don't want you hangin' around my mate, wanna use her
for myself
You know you caught me crawlin' baby when the, when the
grass was very high
I'm just gonna keep on crawlin' now baby until the day I
die,
because I'm a crawlin' kingsnake baby, and I rules my den
Don't you hangin' around my mate, wanna use her for
myself
You know I'm gon' crawl up to your window baby,
wanna crawl up to your door, you got anything I want
baby,
wanna crawl up on your floor
Because I'm a crawlin' king snake baby, and I rules my
den
You know you caught me crawlin' baby when the, when the
grass was very high
I'm just gonna keep on crawlin' now baby until the day I
die,
because I'm a crawlin' kingsnake baby, and I rules my den
I don't want you hangin' around my mate, wanna use her
for myself
I came home this morning
Oh, what a shock
When I found out my key
No longer fit my lock, oh baby
You just go right back out there
Where you've been
But while you were slippin' out
Oh, someone else was slippin' in
I thought I was your fool
That you could count on
One was right there
When no one else is at home but, oh baby
I think I found myself a new friend
But while you were slippin' out
Oh Lord, someone else was slippin' in
Now cry your heart out
Oh, you don't mean a thing to me
I'm a brand new man
And you can plainly see
A new way of walk, people
And of wearin' my hair
This big smile you see on my face
You didn't put it there
I got a new way of wearin' my hair
This big smile on my face, babe
You didn't put it there
Oh, baby
You just take me back out there
Where you've been
'Cause while you were slippin' out
Someone else was slippin' in, oh Lord
Now cry your heart out
Oh, you don't mean a thing to me
I'm a brand new man
Even Stevie Wonder can see
A new way of walk, people
And of wearin' my hair
This big smile on my face, baby
You didn't put it there
I got a new way of wearin' my hair
This big smile on my face
You didn't put it there
Oh, baby
You just go right back out there
Where you've been
'Cause while you were slippin' out
Someone else was slippin' in
I said, while you were slippin' out
Someone else was slippin' in
I said, while you were slippin' out
Oh, someone else was slippin' in
I said, while you were slippin' out
Someone else was slippin' in
(Somebody got to help me

Whos gonna fill those shoes

(That Ill be hard to do)
Theyre the ones who made the blues
Hey now, when ya see tears comin' from my eyes
Oh yes, oh yes people, yes, I could cry
Oh, I know you see those big tears come from my eyes
From the bottom of my heart, baby, you know I can cry
You know, my mother told me when I was a little boy
She said, "Someday son, you will have the reason why"
You know why
I lay awake at night because of love
Lord I have so much trouble
I lay awake, I lay awake at night because of trouble
Because of so much trouble
People, I just can't, I just can't sleep no more, yeah
All the critters have come to keep me company
Well I had a job, but I got laid off
I had a heart but it got too soft
I had a girlfriend and she lied
I had a wife but my wife, she died
One too many drinks about an hour ago
All I want now's just one more
And when it hit, a baby, I don't care
Where, where, where, oh where
Where is the next one comin' from?
Where is the next one comin' from?
Some folks they say there's just one thing
Where is the next one comin' from?
Gonna make 'em dance and gonna make 'em sing
Where is the next one comin' from?
Had a little of that and had a little of this
Where is the next one comin' from?
Well, I checked 'em all off 'a my list
Where is the next one comin' from?
All I know is don't get enough
All I get is this old rough stuff
But when I do, oh, baby, I don't care
Where, where, where, oh where
Where is the next one comin' from?
Where is the next one comin' from?
I want more
Gimme, gimme, gimme, gimme, gimme
Oh, yeah, I want more, yeah
Where is the one comin' from?
Where is the one comin' from?
Where is the one comin' from?
All I want is my belly full
Where is the next one comin' from?
It's a natural thing for an animal
Where is the next one comin' from?
Well I'm tired all of that give and take
Where is the next one comin' from?
About all I got was a bellyache
And once a kid has come to town
He talked like a fool and he dressed like a clown
Only love could have put him down
Where, where, where, oh where
Where is the next one comin' from?
Where is the next one comin' from?
Where is the next one comin' from?
Where is the next one comin' from?
Where is the next one comin' from?
The things that I used to do
Lord I won't do no more
The things that I used to do
Lord I won't do no more
Used to sit and hold your hand, baby
Beggin' you, not today
I used to search all night for you baby
And I search always anything
I used to search all night for you baby
And I search always anything
Yeah and I knew all along, darlin'
You was out somewhere with your other man
I'm gonna send you back to your mother, baby
Or I'm gonna back to my family too
I'm gonna send you back to your mother, baby
Or I'm gonna back to my family too
Nothin' I ever do pleases you, darlin'
Or I just can't get along with you
I don't need a whole lots of money
I don't need a big fine car
I got everything that a man could ever want
I got more than I could ask for
Yeah , yeah
And I don't have to run around
I don't have to stay out all night
'Cause I got a sweet, sweet loving woman
And she knows just how to treat me right
My baby she's all right
My baby she's clean out of sight
Don't you know she's a some kind of wonderful
Yes she is, some kind of wonderful
Now hold it Buddy's gonna tell you one more thing
And when she holds in her arms
She sets my soul on fire (sets my soul on fire)
Lord when my baby kisses me people
My heart becomes filled with desire
When she wraps her loving arms around me
Almost drives me out of my mind
I get funny little feelings inside of me
Chills run up and down my spine
My baby she's all right
My baby she's a clean out of sight
Don't you know she's a some kind of wonderful
Yes she is, some kind of wonderful
Now hold it let me tell you one more thing
Tell me is there anybody
That's got a sweet little woman like mine
There's got to be somebody
That's got a sweet little woman like mine
Now tell me
Can I get a witness (Can I get a witness can I get a witness)
Got to get a witness (Can I get a witness)
Can I get a witness
I wanna talk about my baby (Some kind of wonderful)
Talkin' about my baby (Some kind of wonderful)
Talkin' about my baby (Some kind of wonderful)
Talkin' about my baby (Some kind of wonderful)
She's everything I need
So much more than a man can want
Some kind of wonderful
In her high heeled shoes
Uhh, yeah
Yeah, yeah
Bronsolinio, yeah

Never stop until we hoppin out of grimey Porsches
One night shorty needin' over 9 abortions
I'm the whole shit, one you wanna roll with

Number one, numero uno with the flow shit
Your style is tired and limp just like an old dick

You know when my left eye get to jumpin', hmm, I don't know which way to go
When my left eye get to jumpin', and my flesh begin to crawl,
I know you got some other mule, that's kickin' in my stall
And, I've got the strangest, strangest, strangest, whoa, I've never felt like this before
You know when my left eye get to jumpin', God knows I never felt like this before
Have mercy, baby

You know I feel like my baby, she's got a black cat bone
'Cause everything I do, my baby know what's just goin' on
I've got the strangest, strangest feelin, whoa, I never felt like this before
Yeah
Oh, I've just got to let her go
Because this little girl is runnin' wild
I said I got to let her go
Because this little girl is runnin' wild
You know she whupped this whole game on me
And now she won't even apologize
Oh girl, girl, girl, girl, girl, girl
You take all the happiness out of my live
Hey girl, girl, girl, girl, ah
You takes all, all the happiness out of my lives
You go to 7-11 on me
Just like a gambler with a crooked dice
Look-a-here
Yeah
Mr. Johnny Johnson
Mother said, "Son you've got to let her go
Can't you see this woman got her game up tight?
Oh, son you've got to let her go
Can't you see this a woman got her game up tight?"
She said, "Son get your hat and get your coat
Or she will never treat you right"
Well, ooh, got to get my hat and coat
This ain't right
She'd go to 7-11 on me
You build my hopes so high
Didn't let me down so low
It makes no difference baby
I still love you more and more
And every very time you smile
Woman I smile with you
Every time you cry
Woman, you know I cry with you
Now ain't that lovin' you baby
Ain't that lovin' you baby
Lord, ain't that lovin' you
I don't believe
I don't believe you know what I'm talkin' about
I don't believe
I don't believe you know what I'm talkin' about
I'm talkin' about love, love, love
I'm talkin' about love, love, love
I'm talkin' about love, love, love
I'm talkin' about love, love, love
You know I told you baby
I would never let you down
It makes no difference that
I will always be around
You treat me like a schoolboy
And that you know is true
It makes no difference by you
I'll be there with you
Ain't that lovin' you
Ain't that lovin' you baby
Lord, ain't that lovin' you
I don't believe
You know I'm smiling with you
Oh, ain't that loving you baby
What can a poor man do
You know when the blues keep bothering him around?
What can a poor man do
You know when the blues keep bothering him around?
Give him a half pint of good liquor and sit down and drink it all down
You know, sometimes I feel
I feel like drinkin' me some gasoline
You know, sometimes I feel
I feel like drinkin' me some gasoline
Strikin' me a match and blow myself up in steam
I feel I'm gonna move on back down south
You know where the water tastes like cherry wine
I feel I'm gonna move on back down south
You know where the water tastes like cherry wine
It's three o'clock in the morning
And the rain began to fall
I know what I need
'Cause I don't have it all
I'm needing someone like you
That I can do love to
Baby, baby
I need you tonight
Outside my window
It's lonely and cold
Inside my heart there's a fire
Burning out of control
Burning for someone like you
I just wanna do love to
Baby, baby
I need you tonight
Your love is coming to me
Like a wolf howlin' at the moon
But that just won't do me
'Cause I can't get you soon
I'm callin' for someone like you
That I can do love to
Baby, baby
I need you tonight
I need you tonight
Callin', callin', callin', callin'
They call it stormy Monday,
but Tuesday's just as bad
They call it stormy Monday,
but Tuesday's just as bad
Lord and Wednesday's worse,
Thursday's oh so sad
The eagle flies on Friday,
Saturday I go out to play
The eagle flies on Friday,
Saturday I go out to play
Sunday I go to church,
I get down to pray
Lord have mercy, lord have mercy on me
Lord have mercy, lord have mercy on me
You know I tryin', tryin' to find my baby
Please send her on home to me
I think I smell a rat in my house, baby I believe you got just too late
Aw, I smell a rat, I smell a rat in my house, honey, I think you walkin' 'round too late
You know I need a rat in my house like this now, just like I need a hole in my head
You cry baby you afraid at night, you say you can't stay home all alone
Oh you said you afraid, afraid to stay home at night, you say you didn't want to be home alone
Oh, but I can smell a rat in the time I get back, and all, and all you do is gonna make me moan
You got my backdoor wide open, baby you say you're supposed to be afraid
You got my backdoor wide open, and you tell me you're supposed to be afraid
You know the last time I slept with it opened, you know 'was so cold I almost lost my head
Sometime I think you're foolin' me baby, and I do believe it's just drivin' me around
Sometime I think you're foolin' me baby, honey I think you're just drivin' me around
Why don't you leave me alone woman, you know I think there's another women I can go,
I can be found
I think that you have it to explain. honey I'm not that hard to understand
Did you ever try to sit down and explain, I am not that hard to understand
You will be sleeping with the backdoor open, baby or with another man
You're so good, I don't believe I wanna leave you alone
Oh you're so sweet to me, I don't believe, I can leave you alone
Ohh, ohhh, ohhh
Listen to me
Listen to me
Listen to me
Never know how much I love you woman
never know how much I care
When you put your arms around me
I get a feeling that is hard to bare
You give me a fever
Sure you give me a fever
Fever
In the morning child
Fever all through the night
Bless my soul I love ya
Take this little heart of mine
When you get me woman
Like you got me
I just have to drink my wine
You give me a fever
Sure you give me a fever
Fever
In the morning child
Fever all through the night
Sun lights up my daytime
Moon lights up the night
My eyes light up
When you call my name
'Cause I know you're gonna treat me right
You give me a fever
Sure you give me a fever
Fever
In the morning child
And fever all through the night
Rock my soul I love my baby
I want you to take my heart away
When you got me
Lord you got me
I don't know how to take it that way
He you give me a fever
I know now yeah
Fever
In the morning child
And fever all through the night
Sun lights up my daytime
Moon lights up my night
My eyes light up
When you call my name
'Cause I know you're gonna treat me right
You give me fever woman
Say you give me fever
Fever
In the morning child
And fever all through the night
Bless my soul and I love ya
Take this little heart of mine
When you got me
Lord you got me
The fever hits my head back twice
Say you give me a fever
I know you give me so much fever
Fever
In the morning child
And fever all through the night
Oh, feeling all right
Feeling all right
I'm feeling so good tonight
Tell me baby you love me
Hope you don't tell me no lie
When you got me
The way you got me
And I just don't want to blow my mind
You give me fever
Say you give me fever
Fever
In the morning child
And fever all through the night
I love you
I love you so much now
Love you
Love you whole bottom of my soul
Tell me that you love me
Then I feel all right
I don't know
The way I feel
If you just don't treat me right
Don't you give me fever
I say you give me fever
Fever
In the morning child
And fever aaaaalll
Oh no, oh no, oh no,
Nonononono
Hey
I had a dream last night
God knows a black cat had crossed my trail
I had a dream last night
God knows a black cat had crossed my trail
You know I don't want you to
Sweep me with no broom
'Cause I'm afraid I might go to jail
When my right hand itch
People, you know I'm gettin' money for sure
You know when my right hand itch
People, I'm gettin' money for sure
You know when my
Left eye get to jumpin'
Somebody's just got to go
I went home last night
I lay down 'cross my bed
I woke up this mornin' God knows
Broken, hungry too, I said, oh
Lord, this black cat have crossed my dream
You know sometime I wonder B.G.
What in the world's gonna happen to me
Well, I went down to the cemetery
Got down on my bended knees
I asked the good Lord above
To take this spell off of me and I said, 'Woah'
You know a black cat have crossed my dream
You know I begin to wonder B.G.
Let your hair down baby, 'n' let's have a natural ball
Let your hair down baby, 'n' let's have a natural ball
'Cause when you ain't happy, it ain't no fun at all
You can't take it with you, that's one thing for sure
You can't take it with you, that's one thing for sure
Ain't nothing wrong with you girl, the T-Bone shuffle can't cure
Have fun while you can, fate's an awful thing
Have fun while you can, fate's an awful thing
It feels like rain
Change in the weather, change in the weather
Something is happening here
Change in the weather, change in the weather
People walkin' 'round in fear
Yeah, ah, huh, you better duck and run
Get under cover 'cause a change is come
Storm warnings and it looks like rain
Be nothin' left after the hurricane
There is a jungle, it ain't no lie
Look at the people, they got terror in their eyes
Bad wind is comin' and can't be denied
They're runnin' with the dogs and afraid to die
Change in the weather, change in the weather
Something is happening here
Change in the weather, change in the weather
People walkin' 'round in fear
Aha, you best believe it's true
The levee's busted, bad news comin' true
Oh no, there ain't no place to hide
Reach out and pluck you, take you for a ride, yeah
Sheer frustration takin' everything in sight
Won't be no blastin' if we make it through the night
Down on your knees for heaven and pray
But every demon have to have his day
Change in the weather, change in the weather
Something is happening here
Change in the weather, change in the weather
People walkin' 'round in fear
High noon I can't believe my eyes
Wind is ragin' there's a fire in the sky
Ground shakin' everything comin' loose
Run like a coward but it ain't no use
Edge of the river just an ugly scene
People getting pushed, and people gettin' mean
The change is comin' and it's getting' kind of late
There ain't no survivin', there ain't no escape
Change in the weather, change in the weather
Something is happening here
Change in the weather, change in the weather
People walkin' 'round in fear
Come on try
Ah somethin' been happinin' here, yeah
Whoa there's a change
Feel a change comin' on in the weather, yeah, yeah, yeah
Can't you tell it, I can't see it comin' Lord , ah ah
Got to, got to, got to
Got to, got to, got to feel yeah, yeah, yeah

But nothin' I could do to ease my sufferin' mind
Hurt me so bad to be losing the one I love

But where can I find someone
That could ease, Lord my sufferin' mind
So if I have any witness

'Till I could hardly see myself, he he
Oh, you know it snowed in Chicago
'Till I can walk down the streets you know and I couldn't see myself
Well you know I was tryin' to find my baby
Bad, bad whiskey
Bad, bad whiskey

Fourty-four take five
One, two, one, two, three
Lord there are chills on my pillow
Ice, ice water, ice water in my baby's bed
Yes, Lord there chills on my pillow
Ice, ice water, ice water in my baby's bed
Ohh, all of all the good things I have done for you woman
Oh you know you left me for some other man
Now if you you happen to see my baby
tell her I been cryin', tell her I been cryin' on my knees
Hey, hey, if you ever see my baby
Oh, I want you to tell her, tell her I been cryin' on my knees.
Hey, yes I've been praying to my master, please phone her back to me
Mercy baby
Mercy woman
Yes, if I had ten million, million, million dollars, woman
You know I would give you, I would give up every, every dime
Yes, if I had ten million, ten million dollars, woman
Oh I would give up, I would give up every, every, every dime

You know I can predict the rain
I say I can look at the sky
I believe I can predict the rain
Oh, I can tell when my lady
I can tell when she got another man
Well, this is what I say
I didn't know my mama, oh she had a son like me

All you gotta do is come around me, people
And I'll show you and you can say

And I make water come out of dry sand
I squeeze water out of rock, yeah
I can get water out of dry sand
Oh, when you listen to my story, little girl

Black night is fallin'
Oh how I hate to be alone
Black night is fallin'
Oh how I hate to be alone
I keep crying for my baby
And there ain't another day is gone
I have no one to talk with
To tell my trouble to
My baby gone and left me
Someone tell me what more, what more can I do
Black night is fallin'
Oh how I hate to be alone
I keep crying for my baby
And there ain't another day is gone
Yeah
I have no one to talk with
To tell my trouble to
My brother's in Iraq
And I don't know, don't know what to do
Black night is fallin'
Oh how I hate to be alone
Keep crying for my baby
And there ain't another day is gone
Look at here
Goodbye baby
Oh God, I sure do hate to go
Goodbye baby, yeah
Well, it's four day in the morning
And I haven't even closed my eyes
Oh, it's four day in the morning
And here I am haven't even closed my eyes
Oh, you know I'm peeping out my window
And try to find that little chil' of mine
Oh, it is sad to be lonesome
When you're in that room all alone
Oh, it is sad, when you're in that room all alone
Oh, that's when you realize
That you know that good thing is gone
Oh, that made me lay awake at night
People I just can't sleep no more
Oh, I lay awake at night, huh
People, I just can't sleep no more
Oh, this wind keep blowing
You know it's howling around my door
Oh, but here I am
Lady I'm feeling kind of sad again
Oh, yeah
Oh lady, I'm feeling kind of sad again
Oh, you know I haven't had your lovin' lady no no
Girl, girl, God knows when
Come on home, come on home where you belong
Come on home, huh, come on home where you belong
Oh, I miss you, I miss you baby
