Many people who love dolphins do not realize how barren and unnatural their lives are in captivity. Dolphins in tanks may look like they are smiling, but this is a quirk of their anatomy. The reality of their lives is tragic. This video features information from the Animal Welfare Institute handout "Whales and Dolphins in Captivity" and features footage from the Mirage habitat in Las Vegas.

noodls 2015-03-16The order Cetacea ( /sɨˈteɪʃⁱə/) includes the marine mammals commonly known as whales, dolphins, and porpoises. Cetus is Latin and is used in biological names to mean "whale"; its original meaning, "large sea animal", was more general. It comes from Ancient Greek κῆτος (kētos), meaning "whale" or "any huge fish or sea monster". In Greek mythology the monster that Perseus defeated was called Ceto, which is depicted by the constellation of Cetus. Cetology is the branch of marine science associated with the study of cetaceans.
Cetaceans are the mammals best adapted to aquatic life. Their body is fusiform (spindle-shaped). The forelimbs are modified into flippers. The tiny hindlimbs are vestigial; they do not attach to the backbone and are hidden within the body. The tail has horizontal flukes. Cetaceans are nearly hairless, and are insulated from the cooler water they inhabit by a thick layer of blubber.
Some species are noted for their high intelligence. At the 2012 meeting in Vancouver, Canada, the American Association for the Advancement of Science (the world's biggest science conference), support was reiterated for a cetacean bill of rights, listing cetaceans as "non-human persons".
Cuatro Estaciones
Nuestro amor duro cuatro estaciones
Nuestro amor duro cuatro estaciones
Nuestro amor duro cuatro estaciones
Nuestro amor duro cuatro estaciones
Nuestro amor duro cuatro estaciones
Nuestro amor duro cuatro estaciones
Nuestro amor duro cuatro estaciones
Nuestro amor duro cuatro estaciones
Pero sin darnos cuenta el otoño llegaba
Cayeron hojas secas todo se deshojaba
Y un tono blanquecino de frió nos cubrió
La nieve del invierno todo lo congelo
Duro cuatro estaciones, duro cuatro estaciones
Nuestro amor duro cuatro estaciones
Cuando brota la flor de mañana muy serena
Así nace el amor como la primavera
Duro cuatro estaciones, duro cuatro estaciones
Nuestro amor duro cuatro estaciones
De pronto la pasión como llega el verano
De cuerpos ancestrados llenando el corazón
Duro cuatro estaciones, duro cuatro estaciones
Nuestro amor duro cuatro estaciones
El otoño deshojado
La rutina y el engaño
Duro cuatro estaciones, duro cuatro estaciones
Nuestro amor duro cuatro estaciones
Todo se congelo con frió del invierno
Dejando los recuerdos, las manos en canciooooo…
