Felling

Felling is the process of downing individual trees, an element of the task of logging. The person cutting the trees is a feller.

Methods

Hand felling

In hand felling, an axe, saw, or chainsaw is used to fell a tree, followed up by limbing, bucking in traditional applications. In the modern commercial logging industry, felling is typically followed by limbing and skidding.

Feller buncher

A feller-buncher is a motorized vehicle with an attachment which rapidly cuts and gathers several trees in the process of felling them.

In cut-to-length logging a harvester performs the tasks of a feller-buncher additionally doing the delimbing and bucking of the trees as well.

His fourth studio album Purpose was released in November 2015. His U.S. album and singles sales total 44.7 million.

Sequoioideae

Sequoioideae (redwoods) is a subfamily in the family Cupressaceae, with three genera.

Description

The three redwood subfamily genera are Sequoia and Sequoiadendron of California and Oregon, USA; and Metasequoia in China. The redwood species contains the largest and tallest trees in the world. These trees can live thousands of years. This is an endangered subfamily due to habitat losses from fire ecology suppression, logging, and air pollution.

Only two of the genera, Sequoia and Sequoiadendron, are known for massive trees. Metasequoia, with the living species Metasequoia glyptostroboides, are much smaller.

Taxonomy and evolution

Multiple studies of both morphological and molecular characters have strongly supported the assertion that the Sequoioideae are monophyletic.

Most modern phylogenies place Sequoia as sister to Sequoiadendron and Metasequoia as the out-group. However, Yang et al. went on to investigate the origin of a peculiar genetic artifact of the Sequoioideae—the polyploidy of Sequoia—and generated a notable exception that calls into question the specifics of this relative consensus.

Parris Goebel

Parris Goebel is a New Zealand choreographer and dancer who has worked with pop artists including Justin Bieber, Jennifer Lopez, Nicki Minaj, BIGBANG, and CL from 2NE1.

Goebel founded the ReQuest Dance Crew when she was 15. ReQuest is based in a studio in Penrose, Auckland. In 2014, she was awarded the World of Dance Female Choreographer of the Year. In 2014, Goebel starred in Step Up: All In as Violet.

In 2015, Goebel starred in BIGBANG's "Bang Bang Bang". That same year, she and her crew featured in CL's (leader of 2NE1) music video for HELLO BI+CHES.

Goebel choreographed and sang in the video "Sorry" for Justin Bieber, which as of January 2016 is one of the 50 top viewed videos on YouTube of all time.
