The moment John Inverdale swears on BBC Radio on 5 Live 'Sorry for the slip of the tongue' John Inverdale say C*** on live Radio 5 Live The BBC has apologised after John Inverdale made an x-rated comment during BBC Radio 5 Live's coverage of the Cheltenham Festival. While interviewing former jockey John Francome and young jockey Lizzy Kellie, the presenter referred to 'rose-c*****' glasses live on air. Speaking to Kelly, Inverdale had said: 'This is looking at it through rose-c*****... rose-tinted glasses from the past... (I) apologise there for a slip of the tongue, but Lizzie your love of the sport just shines through' After the incident, a BBC spokesperson said: 'It was a slip of the tongue and John apologised immediately afterwards.' It is not the first time Inverdale, who has over 30 years' broadcasting experience, has been forced to apologise for making inappropriate comments. A BBC spokesperson said: 'It was a slip of the tongue and John apologised immediately afterwards.' In 2013 he sparked outrage when he said tennis player Marion Bartoli was 'never going to be a looker' live on air before her appearance in the Wimbledon women's singles final. Inverdale later apologised to Bartoli, while also claiming his comments were in part attributable to a bout of hayfever which had left him feeling under the weather.

Radio presenter John Inverdale was forced to apologise for using the c-word live on air today (Tuesday 10th March 2015). He was interviewing jockeys at Cheltenham Races for BBC Radio Five Live when he made his x-rated slip. Former jockey John Francome said: "You get wet, you're mucking out, and it's hard work... To which Inverdale, 57, replied: "This is looking at it through rose-cunted... rose-tinted glasses from the past... "[I] apologise there for a slip of the tongue." A BBC spokeswoman said: 'It was a slip of the tongue and John apologised immediately afterwards.' In 2013 Inverdale caused a stir when he said that Wimbledon champion Marion Bartoli was “never going to be a looker”.

We have a high opinion of Stephen Nolan, the veteran Ulster broadcaster. He hosted the recent show on BBC Radio Ulster in which the feminist 'comedienne' Kate Smurthwaite flipped her lid after a (male) caller made a perfectly reasonable point about which body part she should use for talking, and which ones for listening. This discussion (on the issue of consent to sex) was prompted by recent comments from Alison Saunders, our radical feminist Director of Public Prosecutions, relating to rape suspects in future having to persuade police and prosecutors that women consented to sex (in her world view of course, the idea that men need to consent to sex with a woman is inconceivable). In plain English, men will be considered guilty of rape until and unless they prove themselves innocent - and how on earth are they supposed to do that? I debated with Holly Combe of 'The F Word' http://thefword.org.uk. I'd debated with her on a previous occasion, so I know she's one of the few feminists who can debate without becoming very angry at being challenged, and who allows her opponent to speak when she's had a fair turn at commenting. There, I've finally said something nice about a feminist.

Now you say you're lonely You cry the long night through Well, you can cry me a river Cry me a river I cried a river over you
Now you say you're sorry For being so untrue Well, you can cry me a river Cry me a river I cried a river over you
You drove me, nearly drove me, out of my head While you never shed a tear Remember, I remember, all that you said? You told me love was too plebeian Told me you were through with me and
