Please subscribe my channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/killerwalcom Come join me on my trip to the beautiful city of Venice in Italy, which is considered t be one of the greatest tourist attractions in the world. Veneice is a city in the north eastern part of the italian country right at the Adriatic within the province of Venetia and is often called La Serenissima. The city counts 270.884 inhabitants, with only 62.000 people living in the historic centre, called centro storico and 30.000 more on other island in the lagoon. There are more than 100 islands in the lagoon of Venice. The republic of Venice has been an important political and economic power in europa for about 1000 years, but lost its independence in 1897, when Napoleon set foot on the well known St. Mark's Square and forced the supreme authority to surrender. Today the leading branch it tourism. In 2006 over 14.000.000 people visited the city to witness magnificent sights like the St. Mark's Basilica, the Campanile or the beautiful Rialto Bridge. A video made from footage I shot while visiting Venice. This city has a unique atmosphere of romance, relaxation side by side with daily hustle and bustle of tourism. Being there, I felt engulfed in the warmth of the sunlight and the mist of the sea winds. Panasonic HVX200, Brevis 35mm Adapter, Ricoh GX with wide angle lens adapter, Final Cut Pro, Apple Color. Adobe Photoshop for credits and text. There wasn't anything special I had to do as the city was so beautiful that I could almost close my eyes and turn my camera on to get great images. Music credits are at the end- Rachael's Song by Vangelis. Hope you enjoy

Other tourist offices are located at Marco Polo airport, Piazzale Roma, Santa Lucia train station, the Giardini, and on the Lido, at Viale Santa Maria Elisabetta. The card is available from the airport, railway stations, tourist information offices and online. The Chorus Pass includes entry to 16 of Venice's churches, including the spectacular Basilica of Santa Maria Gloriosa dei Frari and the church of Santa Maria Formosa. The pass is valid for one year and is available for purchase online, at the tourist office and from participating churches. The Museum Pass allows entry to 10 civic museums, including the Doge's Palace. The ticket is valid for six months and allows a single admission to each museum. Basilica dei Frari (Church of Santa Maria Gloriosa dei Frari) The glorious gothic Church of Santa Maria Gloriosa dei Frari, constructed around 1330, is primarily associated with the name of Titian, Venice's painter son who is buried here, alongside the city's celebrated sculptor, Antonio Canova. Titian made his reputation and crowned his early years by painting the huge altar piece, The Assumption of the Virgin, for the Franciscan brothers of the Frari in 1518. Titian also executed the painting over the Pesaro family altar in the north aisle. The inclusion of the flag and Turk in the painting alludes to Bishop Pesaro's victory over the Turks at Santa Maura. Titian's tomb, located in the south aisle, faces the large marble pyramid created for Canova, depicting St Mark's lion paying homage to the dead sculptor. Ironically, the design, executed by Canova's pupils, was based on Canova's own plans for a new monument to Titian. Opening Times: Mon-Sat 0900-1800, Sun 1300-1800. Admission Fees: Yes Disabled Access: Yes Unesco: Yes Address: San Polo 3072, Venice, Italy Basilica di San Marco (St Mark's Basilica) The golden Byzantine St Mark's Basilica was founded in the ninth century as a shrine for the relics of St Mark. Built on a plan of a Greek cross, its Eastern appearance is enhanced by golden mosaics, originally created by craftsmen from the Byzantine court at Ravenna. The interior houses many of Venice's greatest treasures, including the venerated icon of the Madonna Nicopeia. The golden screen behind the high altar - the crypt in which St Mark is supposed to be buried - is the Pala d'Oro, beautifully crafted with sapphires, emeralds and rubies and inset with enamels from Constantinople. Before leaving St Mark's, visitors should pause to admire the 12th-century pavement, a resplendent mosaic of glass and marble. It is possible to book online to avoid the long queues at www.venetoinside.com Opening Times: Mon-Sat 0945-1700, Sun 1400-1700 (Apr-Oct); Mon-Sat 0945-1700, Sun 1400-1600 (Nov-Mar). Admission Fees: Yes Disabled Access: Yes Unesco: Yes Address: Piazza San Marco, Venice, Italy Campanile di San Marco (Bell Tower) The bell tower, which is located to one side of St Mark's Square, is the tallest structure in Venice and offers a unique view of this fabulous city. At 318 ft (97m) high, visitors prepared to make the lengthy climb can look out over the rooftops of the city. In a strange twist, the view from the top can be good enough on a clear day to catch a glimpse of the distant dolomites, but doesn't allow for a view of any of the canals. The tower collapsed in 1902 and was rebuilt exactly as before. Opening Times: 0700-1545 (Nov-Apr) 0900-2100 (Jul-Sept). Milan - Italy Travel Guide, Vacation, Tourism World Travel https://www.youtube.com/user/World1Tube Milan - Italy Travel Guide, Vacation http://goo.gl/PbEjrR With something almost Northern European in the air, yet exuding Italian style, Milan is Italy's most cosmopolitan city. Situated on the flat plains of the Po Valley, the capital of Lombardy is both hardworking and glamorous - powerful in businesses from finance to fashion and, of course, football. But what gives Milan its certain something is its status as the epicentre of Italian fashion and interior design. International fashionistas, designers, supermodels and paparazzi descend upon the city twice a year for its spring and autumn fairs. Valentino, Versace and Armani may design and manufacture their clothes elsewhere, but Milan, which has carefully guarded its reputation for flair, drama and creativity, is Italy's natural stage. This is certainly one of the best places in Italy to shop, or windowshop. Apart from fashion, many large national banks and companies are headquartered here whilst the automobile, media, telecommunications and internet sectors have a significant presence too. Milan is the main industrial, commercial and financial centre of Italy and as such, is unsurprisingly business-like in appearance. In fact, despite its fashion credentials, the city is not as visually pleasing as Rome, Venice or Florence. At first glance, it lacks the wow factor; many buildings are grey, some are quite stark and there appears to be very little green space despite the fact there are many parks in the city. Visitors have to take time and be determined to explore Milan's streets in order to access its aesthetically appealing gems -- and they do exist. Cut through the modern metropolitan bustle, and you will stumble across impressive churches and palaces, the pretty Navigli area, the chic Brera district and lively university quarter. Among the most notable landmarks are the Duomo, a Gothic masterpiece (one of the biggest of its kind in the world) that looks vaguely threatening when illuminated at night; La Scala, the opera house with an illustrious history and reputation; Castello Sforzesco, a grand medieval castle; Galleria Vittorio Emanuele, an ancient and glamorous arcaded shopping gallery and in a nod to art, the city is impressively home to Leonardo da Vinci's 15th century masterpiece The Last Supper. However, things are about to change -- and quite drastically. In a bid to beautify the city, former industrial areas have been ear marked for major urban renewal schemes. The Citylife project in the old Fiera area will create a new neighbourhood of homes, a park, a contemporary art museum and a trio of futuristic skyscrapers (one of them will boast an ambitious twisting design) that are set to be finished in 2015, the year Milan hosts the Expo. Apart from these new attributes, Milan cannot be faulted when it comes to having a good time. The Milanese know how to party -- and they don't waste time getting started. Nightlife tends to kick off at 6pm; enjoying an aperitivo in which locals unwind with post-work drinks and nibbles before heading home is the rule rather than exception. So whether you're looking for cut-price fashion, an alternative city break or a chance to paint the town red, Milan has undoubtedly got it covered. ========================================== Milan Museums, Milan Transport, Milan Tours, Milan Introduction, Milan Attractions, Milan Hotels, Milan Restaurants, Milan Shopping, Milan Nightlife, world travel video, Milan video, Milan, Milan Travel guide, Milan Tourism, Milan Vacation, Italy, Italy travel guide, Italy tourism, Italy vacation, Italy Attractions, Europe === Milan - Italy Travel Guide, Vacation, Tourism, Travel Tips, Attractions

ITALIAN- Latest Donbass News / Current Situation around Novorussia Briefly about the war in the Donbass. I do not know how in the West, Russians believe the concept of "Nazism" and "fascism" as synonyms. When we say "Kiev Nazis" or "fascists from Western Ukraine," we mean the same thing. Namely, people who are obsessed with Hitler about the superiority of one race or nation over others. In Western Ukrainian fascists (Nazis) has its heroes. This is Bandera, Shukhevych who were servants of Hitler in World War II. So..There is a war between the Russians, the local population that lives here 1000 years and the Nazi government in Kiev, which the United States led to power. As a result of the bloody coup, the Nazis from Western Ukraine came to power. They are a minority, and in the case of democratic elections, they would never have come to power. Then the United States made a bloody coup, as they are able to do it all over the world. Thus, the United States went to war against the Russian population of the South and East of Ukraine, who lived here 1,000 years and no where to go will not, of course. I'd like to work for the Russian government, but do not work. And actually just want to help as best I can. To bring the truth to the world. Free of charge and at the expense of their own time. Subscribe to VICE News here: http://bit.ly/Subscribe-to-VICE-News On October 3, 2013, over 360 migrants drowned in the Mediterranean Sea after their boat capsized near the island of Lampedusa. The geographical proximity of Lampedusa to the north coast of Africa has caused it to become one of Europe's gateways for migrants, who each week arrive in Italy by sea in droves. The majority of the migrants are fleeing war in Syria and Eritrea's repressive regime in search of a better life. But unscrupulous traffickers and unsafe vessels often lead to many not surviving the journey. And under current European immigration laws, those who succeed in reaching Italian shores often end up stuck there. In the first half of 2014, over 63,000 migrants arrived at Italy's shores. Of those attempting to make the deadly journey to Europe, over 3,000 migrants have drowned trying to cross the Mediterranean, according to the International Organization for Migration. VICE News headed to Lampedusa one year after the disaster and visited the centers that house large numbers of migrants in overcrowded and makeshift living conditions. "Beating the number one doubles pair in the world 6-1, 6-2, I never thought that one day we'd do that in the Fed Cup, not even in a dream," said Garcia. Mladenovic added: "It's amazing, that's the magic of the Fed Cup. France had never clawed back a 2-0 deficit. "We live for this, to play for your country, soaking the shirt (with sweat) and going to your limits." The two 21-year-olds had only played together once before, in a Fed Cup clash with Kazakhstan two years ago, but inspired their country to a dramatic comeback victory. France had started the day 2-0 down in the tie having never before recovered from such a deficit. And in front of them were the 2006, 2009, 2010 and 2013 Fed Cup champions who had not lost on home soil since 2008. Mladenovic defeated Errani 6-4, 6-3 before Garcia beat Camila Giorgi 4-6, 6-0, 6-2 to set up a deciding rubber in the quarter-final tie. But the coup de grace came in the doubles when five-time Grand Slam winners Errani and Vinci, who have won all four Grand Slams, were put to the sword.

Breaking The Mafia Code - "In this beautiful and cursed land, normality is not normal" Subscribe to Journeyman for news and science reports every weekday: htpp://youtube.com/journeymanpictures For downloads and more information visit: http://www.journeyman.tv/?lid=68126 On an island ruled by mafia, one man is determined to stand up to the omnipresent and powerful criminals. This report reveals reporter Pino Maniaci’s quest to expose Cosa Nostra, the Sicilian mafia. The mafia has long been engrained in Sicilian culture, “like moss, which always grows back”, as one boy describes it. As priest Don Salvia notes, “Until a few years ago the Mafia was everything. It was politics, oppression, power…” Today, in the studio of Telejato two giant portraits cover the wall: those of Falcone and Borsellino, two judges who lost their lives in their fight against the mafia. These serve as inspiration for Maniaci, an activist reporter who dares to name the Mafiosi in his daily news show. Despite constant threats, intimidation and several attacks, his fight against this invisible enemy and the pizzo or ‘protection money’ that they demand continues. “My dream is a Sicily free from the cancer of the Mafia, where my children and grandchildren one day will be able to live safely.” Hans Van Dijk - Ref no. 6333 Journeyman Pictures is your independent source for the world's most powerful films, exploring the burning issues of today. Islamic State has released a video purporting to show the militant group beheading 21 Egyptian Christians kidnapped in Libya. The video, released this afternoon, shows ISIS fighters dressed head to toe in black, marching the captives, all wearing orange jumpsuits, to a beach. The 21 men can be seen being forced onto their knees before they are beheaded by the militants standing behind them A caption on the five-minute video read: 'The people of the cross, followers of the hostile Egyptian church.' Before the killings, one of the militants stood with a knife in his hand and said: 'Safety for you crusaders is something you can only wish for.' The 21 men, Egyptian Christians working in Libya, disappeared last month, and the Islamic State claimed responsibility for the abductions shortly afterwards. 'Urgent. Soldiers of the Islamic State captured 21 Christian crusaders,' the jihadists said in a statement released alongside three pictures of the men. Three pictures showing several men were published alongside the statement, which did not specify when the men were abducted and did not reveal their nationality. The statement did not list any demands for the release of the men, but said they had been taken 'in various areas of Tripoli Province'. Last month, the Egyptian foreign ministry confirmed that 20 men had been kidnapped in two separate incidents in Libya, but did not specify when they had been abducted nor their religious affiliation. Libya has seen a rise of powerful armed militias in the wake of the downfall and death of dictator Muammar Gaddafi in the 2011 NATO-backed uprising. Huw Beaugie, founder of Thinking Traveler, discusses the main issues to be aware of before you start to do business in Italy.
Business etiquette in Italy.
A study by Mediobanca, the second largest Italian investment bank, confirms that Italy is not a good place for business. Mediobanca has found that the country's major manufacturing companies transferred 67 per cent of their production overseas in 2013. Furthermore the study - which examined 2,050 Italian firms with more than 500 employees - showed that these companies posted only 9 per cent of their turnover in Italy and the remaining 91 per cent offshore. Resolving some structural weaknesses in the country´s economy could give major manufacturing companies an incentive to consolidate their position domestically rather than looking overseas for revenue growth. But economic analysts say that changes won´t happen from one month to the next. Fiscal pressure on Italian companies was recorded at between 53 and 65 per cent in 2013, the highest level in Europe. Furthermore Italy's civil justice is among the slowest in the eurozone: legal proceedings last on average around nine years, two times higher than most European countries.

Ligurian ingredients are quite different, and include several types of fish and seafood dishes; basil (found in pesto), nuts and olive oil are very common. In Emilia-Romagna, common ingredients include ham (prosciutto), sausage (cotechino), different sorts of salami, truffles, grana, Parmigiano-Reggiano, and tomatoes (Bolognese sauce or ragù). Traditional Central Italian cuisine uses ingredients such as tomatoes, all kinds of meat (except for horse meat), fish, and pecorino cheese. Finally, in Southern Italy, tomatoes -- fresh or cooked into tomato sauce -- peppers, olives and olive oil, garlic, artichokes, oranges, ricotta cheese, eggplants, zucchini, certain types of fish (anchovies, sardines and tuna), and capers are important components to the local cuisine. ITALIAN PASTA HANDMADE Italian cuisine is also well known (and well regarded) for its use of a diverse variety of pasta. Pasta include noodles in various lengths, widths and shapes, and varieties that are filled with other ingredients like ravioli and tortellini. The word pasta is also used to refer to dishes in which pasta products are a primary ingredient. It is usually served with sauce. There are hundreds of different shapes of pasta with at least locally recognized names.Examples include spaghetti (thin rods), macaroni (tubes or cylinders), fusilli (swirls), and lasagne (sheets). Two other noodles, gnocchi and spätzle, are sometimes considered pasta. They are both traditional in parts of Italy. Pasta is categorized in two basic styles: dried and fresh. Dried pasta made without eggs can be stored for up to two years under ideal conditions, while fresh pasta will keep for a couple of days in the refrigerator. Pasta is generally cooked by boiling. Under Italian law, dry pasta (pasta secca) can only be made from durum wheat flour or durum wheat semolina, and is more commonly used in Southern Italy compared to their Northern counterparts, who traditionally prefer the fresh egg variety. Durum flour and durum semolina have a yellow tinge in color. Italian pasta is traditionally cooked al dente (Italian: "firm to the bite", meaning not too soft). Outside Italy, dry pasta is frequently made from other types of flour (such as wheat flour), but this yields a softer product that cannot be cooked al dente. There are many types of wheat flour with varying gluten and protein depending on variety of grain used. Particular varieties of pasta may also use other grains and milling methods to make the flour, as specified by law. Some pasta varieties, such as pizzoccheri, are made from buckwheat flour. Fresh pasta may include eggs (pasta all'uovo 'egg pasta'). Whole wheat pasta has become increasingly popular because of its health

Andrew Graham-Dixon and chef Giorgio Locatelli travel through Italy exploring the country's history, culture, food, art and landscape. Their journey begins in Bologna, the capital of Emilia-Romagna, one of the richest regions in Italy. They find out why the city is know as la Dotta (the Learned), la Grassa (the Fat) and la Rossa (the Red), while visiting its shops, art institutions and the oldest university in the world. Andrew and Giorgio experience the social and friendly atmosphere of the region and meet fishermen casting huge nets at the mouth of the river Po. From there, it is a short journey to Ferrara where they discover the legacy left by the famous dynasty d'Este, and to Modena, home of balsamic vinegar and Ferrari. Finally, Giorgio reveals the source of modern Italian cuisine - at the Palatina Library in Parma he views an original copy of the first cook book of the newly united Italy - while Andrew admires Correggio's magnificent fresco in the dome of Parma Cathedral.

Semen is made alkaline overall with the secretions from the other contributing glands, including, at least, the seminal vesicle fluid. The alkalinity of semen helps neutralize the acidity of the vaginal tract, prolonging the lifespan of sperm. The prostatic fluid is expelled in the firstejaculate fractions, together with most of the spermatozoa. In comparison with the few spermatozoa expelled together with mainly seminal vesicular fluid, those expelled in prostatic fluid have better motility, longer survival and better protection of the genetic material. The prostate also contains some smooth muscles that help expel semen during ejaculation. Travel video about destination Roma in Italy. Roma Aeterna, eternal city and ancient centre of the world. The Piazza Navona is situated in one of the Italian capital's most beautiful squares in a city that has always been a dream destination for travelers from all over the world. Three large fountains adorn the large oval square that was built above the ruins of a Domitian stadium that dates back to the 3rd century A.D. The Romans had a special regard for fountains, the most famous of which is the Fontana Di Trevi. It was designed by Nicolo Salvi for the façade of the Palazzo Poli. The Via Appia Antica was the most important street in ancient Rome. It connected the southern area with the main city and even today, one can walk over its ancient cobblestones. Pope Gregory XIII had the Palazzo Del Quirinale built as his summer residence but it was not long after that the Italian monarchs acquired it as their Renaissance palace. Today it is the residence of Italy's President and the daily changing of the guards ceremony is still a popular attraction. The 17th century St. Peter's Square is the most beautiful square in the world and is situated in the centre of the Vatican, an autonomous Church State in the heart of Rome that also contains the imposing and breathtaking Petersdom, the largest Christian church in the world. The allure of this city lies in its combination of chaos and joie de vivre, elegance and creativity. Rome is a complete work of art!
http://bestflights.co.za/europe/italy/sorrento Sorrento, is a small town in Campania, southern Italy and a popular tourist destination that can be reached easily from Naples and Pompeii by ferry or hydrofoil. Well-known for the production of limoncello, the city also produces products such as citrus fruits, wine, nuts and olives while wood craftmanship is also developed. From the port of Sorrento you can venture out on traditional boats, explore the coastline and seabed for organized day and night excursions. Due to the small roads, driving is not generally advised, so it's better to just walk around town, rent a bike or take the bus. Historic Italian architecture can be seen in several beautiful churches around town. One of the must-visit places is the Sorrento Cathedral and Belltower, a 15th century Romanesque church containing many paintings from the 18th century. As legend has it, Rome, Italy, was founded by the twin brothers, Romulus and Remus, in 700 B.C. The former Caput Mundi, or Capital of the World, sits beneath Palatine Hill, where the ruins of its original incarnation are open for exploration. No Rome tour is complete without stopping by the remains of the Temple of Saturn and Arch of Septimus, both located in the Roman Forum. Get in touch with your inner gladiator and stop by the Colosseum, a relic of Roman bloodsports and perhaps the most recognizable element of the city. Toss a coin into the Trevi Fountain to ensure you’ll return to Rome one day; don’t toss in two coins unless you’re ready to fall in love with a Roman. Continue your Rome sightseeing in St. Peter’s Square, home of St. Peter’s Basilica. The world’s largest church, designed by Michelangelo, is both a remarkable structure and a tribute to faith. You can look down from the famous dome to the Holy Square, which is usually filled with the faithful looking to obtain a blessing from the Pope. After this, it’s just a few steps to restaurants filled with Italian food. Forget coming back to Rome – you’ll never want to leave. What’s your favorite memory of Rome? Bronze Age Greek settlements were established in the Naples area in the second millennium BC.[5] A larger colony -- initially known as Parthenope, Παρθενόπη -- developed on the Island of Megaride around the ninth century BC, at the end of the Greek Dark Ages.[6][7][8] The city was refounded as Neápolis in the sixth century BC[9] and became a lynchpin of Magna Graecia, playing a key role in the merging of Greek culture into Roman society and eventually becoming a cultural centre of the Roman Republic.[10] Naples remained influential after the fall of the Western Roman Empire, serving as the capital city of the Kingdom of Naples between 1282 and 1816. Thereafter, in union with Sicily, it became the capital of the Two Sicilies until the unification of Italy in 1861. During the Neapolitan War of 1815, Naples strongly promoted Italian unification. Naples was the most-bombed Italian city during World War II.[11] Much of the city's 20th-century periphery was constructed under Benito Mussolini's fascist government, and during reconstruction efforts after World War II. In recent decades, Naples has constructed a large business district, the Centro Direzionale, and has developed an advanced transport infrastructure, including an Alta Velocità high-speed rail link to Rome and Salerno, and an expanded subway network, which is planned to eventually cover half of the region. The city has experienced significant economic growth in recent decades, and unemployment levels in the city and surrounding Campania have decreased since 1999.[12] However, Naples still suffers from political and economic corruption,[13] and unemployment levels remain high.[14] Extra Tags: Naples travel guide travel to Naples Naples tourism travel Naples Naples travel tips Naples travel card Naples tours Naples travel packages Naples travel information what to do in Naples Naples guide Naples info places to visit in Naples ferry to Naples Naples tourist attractions Naples travel deals traveling to Naples guide Naples Naples tourist guide Naples attractions travel in Naples Naples tour Naples the netherlands travelling to Naples visiting Naples cheap travel to Naples Naples tour guide i Naples things to do in Naples Naples what to do lonely planet Naples Naples lonely planet Naples gay travel travel guide Naples things to do Naples things to see in Naples tours Naples tourism Naples Naples visit Naples places to visit tour Naples tourist information Naples Naples ferry tours in Naples Naples tourism guide info Naples what to see in Naples Naples sightseeing travel hotel Naples Naples city tour Naples city tours guide to Naples ferries to Naples Naples city Naples travel info Naples city centre Naples tourist information Naples city guide
Florence, Italy, is a bustling Mediterranean city loaded with delicious Italian food and thousands of years of recorded history. Florence began 59 B.C., when Julius Caesar’s former soldiers settled along the Arno River. The city, initially called Florentia, grew up around these settlements. Today, the old Roman parts of the city are long gone, but the Piazza della Repubblica features a towering monument—the Column of Abundance—where the ancient Roman main streets met. Explore some additional history at the Centro Storico, the historic center of the city. This area features a number of medieval buildings, like the breathtaking Florence Cathedral. Centro Storico is also where you can meet Il Porcellino, a bronze boar statue that is something of a mascot for Florence. Put a coin in his mouth for good luck—it can’t hurt, right? Continue your Florence tour by taking in some of the world’s most stunning religious art, much of it created under the Medici family in the 15th and 16th centuries. You’ll find statues in parks and fountains, as well as outside and inside buildings. Stop by the Uffizi Gallery, which spans a full city block, and view paintings by great artists such as Sandro Botticelli. You’ll also want to visit the Gallery of The Academy to see some of Michelangelo’s seminal work. On the south side of the Arno River is Palazzo Pitti, one of the Medici family’s residences during the Renaissance. It’s now a large set of galleries, where you can view some of the Medici heirlooms and some of their prized artwork, including pieces by Raphael and Correggio. What will you do in Florence? Take a tour of Top 10 Travel Attractions of Rome, Italy - part of the World's Greatest Attractions series by GeoBeats. Hey, this is your travel host, Naomi. I would like to show you the top 10 attractions of Rome. Number 10: Trastevere, a perfect opportunity to get away from tourists. If you want to experience the local Roman day to day life, you will find it in the distinct Trastevere neighborhood. Number 9: Mausoleum of Hadrian. Constructed by the Roman emperor Hadrian for himself, the building has served many functions. Number 8: Roman Forum, among the most significant ruins in Rome today. During the time of the Roman Empire this was a bustling city center with markets, banks and government buildings. Number 7: Spanish Steps, probably the most important steps in the world. They draw visitors from all over. Number 6: Piazza Navona, this is a large and popular square. About 1900 years ago this was the site of a stadium which was later converted into a piazza. Number 5: Piazza del Popolo, another historic and lively piazza of Rome. It is surrounded by beautiful structures. In Italian, Piazza del Popolo literally means people's square. Number 4: Trevi Fountain, a grand fountain in the heart of Rome. You will not find a more gorgeous fountain anywhere else. Number 3: Pantheon. Constructed nearly 2,000 years ago, Pantheon is one of the most well-known historical buildings of Rome. You will find it to be remarkably preserved. Number 2: Vatican. It has been the home of the Pope for hundreds of years. Even though it is situated within Rome, Vatican is an independent country, in fact, the smallest in the world. Number 1: Colosseum. No visit to Rome is complete without a visit to the Colosseum, the site for the gladiator fights. It is perhaps the most important symbol of the mighty Roman Empire. Keep watching our travel series. Ciao.

In the Heat of the Day The final stretch of Andrew Graham-Dixon and Giorgio Locatelli's journey takes them all the way down to the toe of Italy and the southern regions of Campania and Calabria. Invaders and foreign empires have shaped the culture and cooking here over millennia, making this Italy's most exotic area. First stop Naples, a city unlike anywhere else in the country or the world, attracting visitors for centuries with its vibrant street life and Baroque masterpieces. Further down the coast Amalfi and Paestum reveal outside influences that date back millennia, and then it is on to Italy's Wild West, Calabria, with its extraordinary, untouched countryside and art.

In the city of Naples, Italy, the Mafia has controlled the waste-management industry for decades -- dumping and burning trash across its rolling hills and vineyards. In 1994, the European Union declared the situation an official environmental emergency, and things have only gotten worse since then. When we investigated the situation we found mutated sheep, poisoned mozzarella, alarming rates of cancer, and pissed off farmers ready to push back against the Camorra, Italy's most powerful and dangerous criminal organization (and the government that enables it). In the Footsteps of the Poets Beginning in Liguria, a region bordered by mountains and a beautiful rocky coastline which inspired the English Romantic poets, Andrew Graham-Dixon and Giorgio Locatelli travel along the west coast of Italy, exploring the culture and cuisine of the diverse regions. Their first stop is the city of Genoa, once a great maritime republic, whose former glory is reflected it its opulent Baroque palaces with their imposing facades, glamorous decor and splendid paintings by artists such as Van Dyck and Bernardo Strozzi. In contrast to these grand statements of wealth, Giorgio makes the simple dish that the city is famous for - pesto alla genovese. The two travellers' then move on to the Cinque Terre, a rugged portion of coastline featuring a national park and five picturesque villages seemingly wedged into the cliff face beside sea. Finally, Andrew and Giorgio cross over into Tuscany and, managing to stay off the tourist trail, visit a hidden gem of Renaissance art in Pistoia and one of Pisa's best-kept secrets. They finish back by the sea at the port city of Livorno, where the fishermen's catch of the day dictates the menu.

Thank you for supporting the creative commons movement !! For vendor means a trader who does not exercise their profession in a stable place. The activity of the vendor generally focuses on trade fairs or weekly markets, but it is widespread, sometimes illegally, in other crowded places, such as tourist attractions, shopping malls, sporting events and music. Its origin is lost in the mists of time as formerly in agricultural villages there were no stores to supply stable and therefore it was necessary to go to the fairs that were held periodically. To meet the needs of the rural population there were figures of street vendors, whose origins are perhaps to be related to the relative safety of the movement after the year one thousand, while not exclude the existence in ancient times. Often the back of a donkey, perhaps with a cart, roamed the countryside bringing any kind of product could serve. Today is the heir to the traveling salesman door to door salesman that literally moves from house to house or company in business to sell their products or those of another company that is promoting at that time. In the second case we speak usually of a commercial agent or similar figures that carry out direct selling, or offering, by various methods, products or consumer services directly at the consumers home. The Chapman (sometimes known as hawker or street vendor, especially in Latin America ) is a worker in the informal economy that trades various consumer goods. It is usually installed in small kiosks (though sometimes you just have a simple table to exhibit the goods) on the sidewalks of the busiest streets in different parts of a city. Similarly, Chapman can also wander without a specific local carrying with what look to sell: clothing, music, handicrafts, books and films comprise most of the buhoneril trade. Due to its informal quality and considerable expansion in various public places in town, peddling is seen by some sectors of society as problematic and annoying. However, the low prices and easy access to different products offered Chapman make it a cost effective and efficient alternative for much of the consumer market. Chapman is now widely criticized, as this is not required to pay taxes as companies or businesses. Therefore, there is a constant struggle between the formal and informal economy. Hawking supports various subdivisions or analytical perspectives. It is also likely see the scope of the number of people (stadiums, offices, subway terminals, educational parks, municipalities, racetracks, hospitals, bus stops, etc.). Also transit public places, the typical merchant who wanders the streets. Finally from the functional perspective of economic social system by shoveling unemployment, channeling the way people with little specialty or subject difficulty of finding formal employment or failure fitness discipline and subordination in the formal labor market and also to encourage entrepreneurship. Also, street vendors (or street vendors in Mexico) is the term used to describe an activity commercial territorially not settled in a particular place; is exercised by a person or by a small number of people (usually related by blood or by preexisting friendships) exchanging goods for cash from the customer and buyer with no intermediating any proof (ticket, invoice or contract), or the endorsement or insurance transactions. Street vendor mango with chili and chamoy in Mexico City The products ( goods or services ) are mainly directed to the consumption of people living in residential areas (houses or apartments) or moving (walking or mobilized by mechanical means such as cars, buses or buses) or attending centers of attraction situational (indoles varied events) or users of local service delivery (education, health, prisons and other). Newspapers at the auction were formerly sold. In the heyday of newspapers, daily employed young boys on the streets of major cities European and Western, chanted the front page of the newspaper. Customers came to him to buy one. The xix th century, the church pews were sold at auction, which provided an important source of income for factories parochial. Informal trade in São Paulo is concentrated in places where there is more foot traffic, especially around subway stations and bus terminals, as well as the major centers of trade as the popular Brás. In the prime areas of the city are virtually no street trading. Thank you for supporting the creative commons movement !!

Lexington Herald-Leader 2015-03-23Italy i/ˈɪtəli/ (Italian: Italia [iˈtaːlja]), officially the Italian Republic or the Republic of Italy (Italian: Repubblica italiana), is a unitary parliamentary republic in south-central Europe. To the north, it borders France, Switzerland, Austria and Slovenia along the Alps. To the south, it consists of the entirety of the Italian Peninsula, Sicily, Sardinia–the two largest islands in the Mediterranean Sea–and many other smaller islands. The independent states of San Marino and the Vatican City are enclaves within Italy, while Campione d'Italia is an Italian exclave in Switzerland. The territory of Italy covers some 301,338 km2 (116,347 sq mi) and is influenced by a temperate seasonal climate. With 60.6 million inhabitants, it is the fifth most populous country in Europe, and the 23rd most populous in the world.
Rome, the capital of Italy, was for centuries a political and religious centre of Western civilisation as the capital of the Roman Empire and site of the Holy See. After the decline of the Roman Empire, Italy endured numerous invasions by foreign peoples, from Germanic tribes such as the Lombards and Ostrogoths, to the Byzantines and later, the Normans, among others. Centuries later, Italy became the birthplace of Maritime republics and the Renaissance, an immensely fruitful intellectual movement that would prove to be integral in shaping the subsequent course of European thought.
So there we were in the heart
Where everything that we know got its start
Then it all fell apart
Well I guess that's what you get
When you spread yourself too thin
But we had bigger fish to fry
Like findin' a place to sleep at night
I'd bought a slice of pizza
Just to try and kill some time
And for a minute everything was fine
We had a number in our notebook
But it was way too late to call
It was well after midnight
When our train passed through the city walls
We didn't know this girl at all
So we got out our travel book
To read about the neighborhood
Said it wasn't very good
But it felt alright to me
All I wanted to do was go to sleep
So we walked around the corner
And we found a cheap motel
We knew we couldn't afford it
But we said, "Oh well"
When you've been on the train all day
You're in a big city in a new country
You're real tired and it's late
Sometimes it's better just to pay
That's the way it goes
Sometimes you know
It'd be okay
And after all we were in Rome
Well it had been a long time
Since we had slept inside
We woke up late the next day
And the sun was shining bright
We paid our bill, we cried, we went outside
They got their bread and circus
And I guess so do we
But they got theirs for free
I think that we're gettin' ripped off
We must destroy all empires at any cost
When you're standin' in a temple
Of a long-gone God it seems so simple
Everybody dies, no matter who you are
From far enough away our sun is just another star
And the statue of Moses that we saw
Had horns on his head and was eight feet tall
Maybe that was the case,
No it's not our place to say
Maybe some things just don't translate
We called up this girl
Who had ordered a CD
She was the first from Italy
When we asked for hospitality
She said we could stay at her parents' place
They were so sweet to us
It was so nice to meet a punk
She took good care of you and me
She bought us soy ice cream
Her mom cooked dinner every night
It was so hard for us to leave
And the stray dogs of Pompey
Were our guides that day
They became our friends,
We were a lot like them
They taught us many things
And all they wanted was some food for their pay
Then we went to the coast
Where the roads are wound so close
And the buses bounce from side-to-side
We thought that we might die
We couldn't find a place to sleep at all that night
The city filled with scooters
Held so many mysteries
I saw the weirdest thing there
That I think I'll ever see
It was a pizza topped with octopus,
A whole one on each slice
But I got my dinner there
It was a pizza topped with fries
And Italy was nice
Made us feel right at home
Our money's in the fountain
Can we move to Italy
I will take a boat and meet you there
Can we move to Italy
I will put fresh flowers in my hair
Can we move to Italy
I have been traveling
With my face pressed against
The windscreen of my dusty car
Trying to be where you are
Can we move to Italy
I will take a house and make it home
Can we move to Italy
We can dance in Venice
Kiss in Rome
Can we move to Italy
Meet me by the church up high on the hill
Please say you will
Way above the shore below
Down in portafino
I've got my ticket
And my purple rosary
I know my mission
I'm set for Italy
Italy
Watch the sun come up
The sun go down
Italy
Punch the air
Kiss the ground
Italy
Dance in Venice
Kiss in Rome
Italy
Take a little house
Make it home
Can we move to Italy
I will take a boat and meet you there
Can we move to italy
I will put fresh flowers in my hair
Can we move to Italy
