Many a bikini was spotted at The Kimpton’s Surfcomber Miami, South Beach, Saturday.
They were worn by various Victoria’s Secret PINK models and assorted vacationing and local lovelies for the Ultimate Spring Break Bash, held at the hotel’s private pool deck. The party was hosted by PINK princesses Gigi Hadid and Rachel Hilbert, along with special guest star, Cody Simpson, Hadid’s boyfriend.
Simpson, 18 told People.com that he and Hadid, 19, are “in a really good place.”
“We didn’t see each other for almost a month when I was overseas, so it was really exciting to see him again,” said Hadid, who was recently spotted at Paris Fashion Week.
Meanwhile, Hadid’s mother Yolanda Foster is still waging a good fight against Lyme’s disease. Gigi told the magazine the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star’s goal is hoping to assist others with the debilitating illness. “I think when she finally figures out how to help herself, she’ll be able to help a lot of other people. … I’m very inspired.”
The event did have its share of social media controversy, but contrary to a Snapchat video, uploaded by gossip site OceanUp, Hadid denied that the screengrab showing her nose pressed down across a counter had anything to do with her snorting cocaine or any other illegal substance. She responded on Twitter: Doing that “is not only impossible but insane to me … I’d be an idiot to do that at a WORK EVENT in front of hundreds of people/press … I take pride in being a good role model, would never touch that…”
OH, BEHAVE
Phew, all’s calming down in Lil Wayne’s world. The rapper has apparently forgiven DJ 4our 5ive for a bad assist — playing the wrong version of a song during Weezy’s concert at Nova Southeastern University Thursday night, TMZ reports. When the melody didn’t go as planned, the hip-hop star threw his mic at the DJ and stormed off the stage. Could stress have sent Lil over the edge? Earlier in the week, the rapper was the victim of swatting (aka a prank), with police swarming his Miami Beach home after a call to police reported that four people had been shot inside. Let’s see he how he acts at his Revolution concert in Fort Lauderdale Saturday night.
HORSE PLAY
Bruce Springsteen and Patti Scialfa’s daughter is oooh, oooh, growing up. Page Six reports that show jumping champ Jessica Springsteen has a new boyfriend. He’s Argentine polo player Nic Roldan, who was named one of Town & Country’s “Top 50 Bachelors” last year. Spies said Florida-based Roldan, 32, was seen at the Palm Beach Winter Equestrian Festival last weekend, “cheering on” Springsteen, 23. A spy told the paper: said of the new relationship, “They seem to ‘get’ each other … He is definitely smitten.”
ON THE STRIP
Hey, at least Scott Disick is bringing home some bacon. Kourtney Kardashian’s wilder half is being paid serious coin to show up at Crazy Horse meet and greet in Pompano Beach April 21. “Lord Disick,” whose image appears on the flashy invite, is reportedly being paid a $50,000 appearance fee, as well as various other perks.
