Responsibilities & Skills

The main responsibility of a social worker is to provide counselling, support and information to help people deal with a crisis. Every day they work to improve a client's quality of life by listening, offering advice and providing them with the resources they need to better cope in their environment. They often conduct research or are involved in policy development and implementing programs to address social issues.
