Mac: [In a gradually increasing crescendo of emphasis, starting in a normal tone, ending in a near roar] Red, let me ask you. Have you ever once, in your whole life, had one, single, solitary, original thought, that didn't bounce off from somewhere else? I mean, have you ever sat down, considered all the available information, weighed it all in your mind, sifted all the possibilities, discarded what you couldn't prove, sorted out what made sense, and came to your own, personal, original, Red McBride opinion?::Red: [after a long pause] Why would I go to all that trouble?

Bruce Pearson: Everybody'd be nice to you if they knew you were dying.::Henry Wiggen: Everybody knows everybody is dying; that's why people are as good as they are.
Dutch Schnell: Skip the facts, just gimme the details.
Henry Wiggen: Oh Katie, honey, why don't you get yourself married and raise yourself some exemptions.
Henry Wiggen: See, it was no double birdie.::Mr. Pearson: Double Birdie?::Bruce Pearson: Whereas for, it coulda been a spread eagle.::Henry Wiggen: Probably you've been playing Southeastern Tegwar all your life, but in the Majors the boys all play Western Canadian style. Which, for my money, is much faster. That leaves you free for a Butchered Hog most any time, whereas, uh.::Bruce Pearson: Whereas uh.::Mr. Pearson: Wh, Whereas what?::Bruce Pearson: Whereas, it, uh, keeps you from dropping dead on the board.
Henry Wiggen: These are Fifth and Two. Fifth and Queen.::Joe Jaros: Red Rooster. [long pause, then Tegawar Player lays a 3. Joe slams down his cards] BANJO! Ha-HAAAA! That's the first natural Banjo since the days of Joe Dimaggio in St. Petersburg.::Henry Wiggen: Hey, wait a minute. Fifteen and Fifteen's Thirty-One.::Tegwar Player: Hey, what's the name of this game?::Joe Jaros: Fifteen and Fifteen is Thirty-TWO!::Henry Wiggen: Thirry-T... oh, that's right. [to Tegwar player] That's a Double Honeybees.::Tegwar Player: I'm not too sure if I'm clear on some of these new rules.::Joe Jaros: What new rules? There hasn't been any rules changes since the Black Sox Scandal, 1919. Big League Tegwar's Big League Tegwar known to every big-time ballplayer from Boston to California.
Joe Jaros: Can you beat a Coney Island Tatey?::Bruce Pearson: What about this Double Ace Deucer?::Joe Jaros: I wish ya a lot of luck with it.
Dutch Schnell: [taking Piney's revolver in the locker room] Hand it over. I'm in no mood to see anybody get killed by a buller wound. Piney, I hear you have bullets with it too.::Piney Woods: Yes, sir. They're in the gun.::Dutch Schnell: Why the hell didn't you tell me?::Piney Woods: I didn't think it'd go off. I'm always very careful.::Dutch Schnell: That's what everybody says. That's why the hospital's full of babies.

Dan Dicks of PressForTruth.ca joins us today to discuss the current leader of the Liberal Party of Canada and potential future Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau. Riding on the coattails of his father and the support of a Canadian public sick of the long-running Harper government, Trudeau looks set to become Canada's answer to Obama's Hopenosis. But in a forthcoming documentary, Press For Truth prepares to blow the lid off of The Trudeau Deception.

Officially founded in 1999, Nunavut is the youngest territory in Canada. It's only been two generations since Canada's stewardship of the land forced the Inuit people out of their semi-nomadic way of life and into a modern sedentary one. But while the introduction of contemporary conveniences seem to have made life more comfortable, the history of Canada in the arctic is mired in tragedy, and the traumatic effects of residential schools and forced relocations are still being felt. Today, Nunavut is in a state of social crisis: Crime rates are four times the national average and the rates of suicide are more than ten times higher than the rest of Canada. If you ask people here what the driving force of the problem is, a lot of them will say: alcohol. Even though alcohol is completely illegal in some parts of the territory, it's been reported that 95 percent of police calls are alcohol-related. We conducted a Social experiment to see how Canadians and Americans react to the homeless. This experiment was shot in the cold for 30 minutes. We were surprised by how different the responses were. Its Christmas and Holiday Season, lets make some change! Lets start by sharing this video with your friends and family to help us spread a positive message. p.s This video is not about "vs". This is about opening your eyes to all the injustice and poverty around us, and questioning why as humans are we still going through issues such as homelessness, racism, sexism and so much more. Don't make social controls hold us back from acting as one unity, Fight the for unity. City: Toronto Downtown ON and Buffalo Downtown NY- Busy Streets only difference was the angle ( We had to adjust our shots cuz of permissions we had (hide) in places to shoot). We counted how many people passed by and they were nearly the same amount in those 30 minutes. (+8 for Toronto) and we actually spent 45 minutes in NY to shoot so we can get least one penny shot to show some generosity. But then my legs were giving up and blood was slowing down I couldn't take it So we had to call it off. In this episode of Keep It Canada, Matty heads to the Quebec countryside to hangout with Emma Cardarelli, chef and co-owner of Nora Grey. Emma's catches quickly outnumbers Matty ten to one when the two go fishing for trout. Before returning their bounty to Nora Grey, they manage to sneak in a quick skeet-shooting session with expert Charles Antoine. Matty also visits the headquarters of Société-Orignal—plus their offsite beehive, Gourmet Sauvage, and Ferme la Rose Des Vents—to source local ingredients for a huge family-style meal where he prepares whelk pie, tourtiere, and roasted chicken with root vegetables. (Oh, and we should mention that Matty also becomes an official member of the Turd Confederacy.) In this episode of Keep it Canada, Matty heads to New Brunswick to hang out with his close friend and spirit animal: Chef Jesse Vergen. Jesse takes Matty to visit his family's driving range, where he's built an incredible roadside BBQ restaurant. We also meet with Cornel Ceapa, a man who has devoted his life to sturgeon and the decadent caviar they produce. Matty then takes his mother and aunt—who grew up in New Brunswick—for a giant pile of fried seafood. At the end of it all, Jesse and Matty respectfully slaughter a lamb on Jesse's farm to serve to Matty and Jesse's families, along with Cornel and his wife. Travel video about destination Canada. The journey starts in Halifax and stretches right across Canada, from east to west and from the Atlantic to the Pacific. Halifax is situated in a deep, well-defined bay on the Atlantic coastline and has one of the most beautiful natural harbours in the world.Ville De Quebec is the capital of the likewise-named province of Canada. In this European-orientated city on the St. Laurence river, French is the main language. In 1608, Samuel De Champlain established it as a centre for the fur trade. The massive and world famous Chateau Frontenac is the city’s best known landmark. In Montreal, Canada’s second largest city, the massive Basilica, the Oratoire Saint-Joseph, is an important pilgrimage destination and in the charming French-style area of the city which is located between the harbour and the modern banking quarter, numerous old buildings have been restored. Although Montreal is located 1600 kilometres from the open sea, it owes its wealth to its waterways which stretch from the country’s interior, to the ocean. In Native American, Toronto means, ‘Meeting Place’ an accurate description for the capital of Ontario Province and Canada’s largest city, a multi-cultural city with giant skyscrapers and noisy streets. The CN Tower is the tallest free-standing building in the world and in less than a minute its lift ascends 335 metres to the top. Niagara Falls lies between Lake Erie and Lake Ontario on the Canadian-American border. A trip on the ‘Maid Of The Mist’ is a magnificent experience where the tremendous power of the water is awesome. Three times a week, the Canadian, with its 30 wagons, 2 locomotives and total length of more than a kilometre, winds its way through the Rocky Mountains the water from which accumulates from mountain glaciers and flows into three oceans: the Atlantic, the Pacific and the Arctic. The capital of the south west province of British Columbia, Vancouver, is located beside the Pacific Ocean and is the third largest city in Canada and one of the most beautiful on the North American continent. A fitting final destination for a tour of Canada’s wonderworld of magnificent contrasts.
http://bookinghunter.com Vancouver is a coastal seaport city on the mainland of British Columbia, Canada. The 2011 census recorded 603,502 people in the city, making it the eighth largest Canadian municipality. Vancouver is one of the most ethnically and linguistically diverse cities in Canada; 52% of its residents do not speak English as their first language. The most important places to visit in Vancouver are: Granville Island (a popular peninsula connected to Vancouver. With it's colorful market, it's a draw amongst locals and visitors alike), Stanley Park (Vancouver wouldn't be the same without Stanley Park, one of the great urban parks. It's a perfect city escape), Chinatown (the second largest Chinatown in North America after San Francisco. It has many unique, as well as traditional shops), Gastown (a national historic site. Explore the cobbled streets, shopping, dining and unique architecture), Grouse Mountain (overlooking Vancouver city, this recreational has winter skiing and even an excellent wildlife refuge) and many more. This video offers a lot of tips to help you plan the perfect vacation. If you want to save time and money, the most important Vancouver travel tip is to compare prices before booking a hotel room or a flight. You can do this for free on http://bookinghunter.com, a site that searches through hundreds of other travel websites in real time for the best travel deals available.

http://bookinghunter.com Toronto is the largest city in Canada and the provincial capital of Ontario. It is located in Southern Ontario on the northwestern shore of Lake Ontario. The history of Toronto began in the late 18th century when the British Crown purchased its land from the Mississaugas of the New Credit. The British established a settlement there, called the Town of York, which its lieutenant governor, John Graves Simcoe, designated as the capital of Upper Canada. The city was ransacked in the Battle of York during the War of 1812. In 1834, York was incorporated as a city and renamed Toronto. The most important places to visit in Toronto are: Niagara Falls (located an hour and a half away from Toronto, awe-inspiring Niagara Falls attracts visitors from around the world), CN Tower (dominating Toronto's skyline, this communication tower stands at a staggering 1,815 feet. Spectacular Toronto views await you at the top), Old City Hall (an important historic landmark of Toronto. It too nearly 20 years to complete its construction in 1899), Royal Ontario Museum (Canada's largest museum of world culture. You can see impressive artifacts and archeological objects from around the world), Casa Loma (a magnificent castle on a hill in the north end of Toronto. Visitors are treated well in restored rooms and gardens) and many more. This video offers a lot of tips to help you plan the perfect vacation. http://www.expedia.com/Ottawa.d178296.Destination-Travel-Guides Welcome to Ottawa, Ontario, where you’ll find charming old-world buildings surrounded by picturesque natural beauty. The first stop on an Ottawa tour should be the Rideau Canal. This waterway cuts the city in half, and it provides places for boating and paddleboarding during the summer. Visiting in winter? Not a problem—you can go ice skating along the Rideau when it ices over. On the south side of the river, you can see the Changing of the Guard Ceremony at Parliament Hill. A few blocks to the north is the National Gallery of Canada, a stunning glass-and-granite building full of art from Canadian, European, and other North American artists. You’ll be hungry after all this walking around, so head to ByWard Market. If you see beavertails, don’t worry; they’re a pastry, not part of an actual beaver—and they’re delicious. ByWard Market also has some of the best fresh produce you’ll ever taste, so stock up on fruits and vegetables while you’re there. After sampling the fare at ByWard Market, cross the river to visit the Canadian Museum of History in Quebec. This is where you can tour recreations of Old Canada: explore 1800s storefronts, wander into log cabins, and learn about the First Nations people who inhabited Canada for thousands of years prior to European settlement. Round out your trip with a venture to Gatineau Park, where you can relax by the lake or take tea in the MacKenzie King estate. What’s your favorite part of Ottawa? http://bookinghunter.com Niagara Falls is the collective name for three waterfalls that straddle the international border between Canada and the United States; more specifically, between the province of Ontario and the state of New York. They form the southern end of the Niagara Gorge. From largest to smallest, the three waterfalls are the Horseshoe Falls, the American Falls and the Bridal Veil Falls. The Horseshoe Falls lie on the Canadian side and the American Falls on the American side, separated by Goat Island. The smaller Bridal Veil Falls are also located on the American side, separated from the other waterfalls by Luna Island. The international boundary line was originally drawn through Horseshoe Falls in 1819, but the boundary has long been in dispute due to natural erosion and construction. Located on the Niagara River, which drains Lake Erie into Lake Ontario, the combined falls form the highest flow rate of any waterfall in the world, with a vertical drop of more than 165 feet (50 m). Horseshoe Falls is the most powerful waterfall in North America, as measured by vertical height and also by flow rate. The falls are located 17 miles (27 km) north-northwest of Buffalo, New York and 75 miles (121 km) south-southeast of Toronto, between the twin cities of Niagara Falls, Ontario, and Niagara Falls, New York. This video offers a lot of tips to help you plan the perfect vacation. If you want to save time and money, the most important Niagara Falls travel tip is to compare prices before booking a hotel room or a flight. http://www.expedia.com/Quebec.d180017.Destination-Travel-Guides When you arrive in Quebec, you’ll immediately notice its unique combination of old-world architecture, French elegance, and North American friendliness. Throw in a penchant for winter sports and a rich historical past, and you’ll have plenty to do in its capital, Quebec City. The walled Upper Town is on the to-see list of most Quebec tours. This is part of the historic Old Quebec, first settled by Europeans in 1608. You’ll find a fantastic view of the St. Lawrence River, along with winding streets filled with historic buildings housing restaurants, pubs, and small shops. Venture out into the oldest retail center on the continent and enjoy a croissant and a coffee, then go for a bike ride along the Old Port. This used to be one of the world’s largest shipping thoroughfares, though now it’s known primarily as a cruise ship destination. If you’re in the mood to meet some of the local wildlife, head to the Quebec Aquarium, where you can see polar bears, seals, and other animals that inhabit the Arctic. Feeling like reaching great heights? Stop by Montmorency Falls, where you can hike up to an observation point and marvel at the beauty of the natural landscape. All this walking and hiking will make you hungry, so at dusk, visit Rue St. Paul’s many restaurants to pick out the perfect place for dinner. The city is buzzing late into the night; if you’re up for dancing, a drink, or a cup of coffee after dinner, you’ll be in good company. What part of Quebec do you want to see? Travel video about destination Montréal in Canada. Canada's second largest city, Montreal is a fascinating blend of European charm and the American way of life. In Vieux-Montreal, narrow lanes and small houses recall the past and also the lifestyle of the original settlers. In the old fire station at Place d'Youville - one of the oldest markets in Montreal -- is the Centre d'Histoire in which the 350 year cultural history of the city is on display, from the development of the Irokese Settlement, its prolific fur trade, and right up to today's shining, energetic Metropolis. Although Montreal is located 1,600 kilometres from the open sea, it owes its wealth to its waterways which stretch from the country's interior, to the ocean. A trip on the Saint Lawrence River with the pleasure boat, BATEAU-MOUCHE, contrasts old, historic warehouses with the highly contemporary apartment block of the Cité du Havre Habitat. Le Tour Olympique, Montreal's "Crooked Tower", offers panoramic views which extend more than 80 kilometres from its 175 metre tall viewing platform. Next to the Olympic Stadium, the Biodome, in which exotic animals from many corners of the world roam among waterfalls and tropical forests. Next to the gleaming skyscrapers of the inner city, there are museums, churches and art galleries and in the old quarter, there are more historic buildings than in any other North American city, not forgetting the parks and the romantic harbor. Montreal is a gem!

Travel video about destination Toronto in Canada. Toronto is a sensational city. Canada’s ‘secret’ capital: boomtown, show town and financial metropolis, clean, safe and with five million inhabitants.Gigantic skyscrapers and with a frenetic lifestyle, Toronto is where many Canadian banks and multi-national companies have their palatial offices of steel and glass built in what was once a waterfront wilderness. The old City Hall was built in 1899 in Victorian style and consists mainly of sandstone. Its Venetian clock tower faces an array of modern skyscrapers and almost opposite is the futuristic looking new City Hall, a symbol of the city’s cosmopolitan flair. It’s easy to become disorientated in Toronto’s Underground City. Most of this subterranean complex extends beneath the financial district and is the largest of its type in the world with countless shops, restaurants and subway stations. An endless network of corridors and passages connects these vast shopping centres and offices to the Central Business District.Since 1975 the city has possessed a unique monument, the Canadian National Tower or, the C.N.Tower. At a speed of six metres a second four external elevators zoom to the top of the building and it takes only fifty-eight seconds to reach the Skypod platform. The massive Skydome stadium is home to the Blue Jays baseball team. The huge pitch contains a hundred and six rolls of light green turf and is illuminated by more than seven hundred two thousand watt spotlights. The building is multi-functional and has a movable dome that can be opened and closed as necessary depending upon the weather. Niagara Falls, although extremely touristy, is an unforgettable experience. For the adventurous there are bridges and platforms close to the raging waters and the roar of the mighty torrent can be heard from a great distance while the awe-inspiring view of the waterfalls make it easy to forget the surrounding hustle and bustle of fellow sightseers. The Indian meeting place of bygone times has been transformed into a huge city that is a true gem among Canada’s other great cities. Toronto is without a doubt the most multicultural city in the world!
If you want to experience a Canadian city with a bit of French flair, then you need to visit Quebec City. Situated on the banks of the St. Lawrence River, this is a town with good looks and a big heart. We only had a day and a half there, but that was enough time to wander the cobbled streets, catch some street performances, and visit many of the top attractions. The following is a little video of our time in historic Quebec City, Canada highlighting the top 10 things to do and see in this top attractions travel guide: 1) Plains of Abraham We are no standing on the Plains of Abraham and this is the location where the battle between the English and the French was fought. This was the battle that ultimately determined the fate of North America. This battle was part of the Seven Years' War and it would be the deciding factor over the fate of New France, influencing the later creation of Canada. 2) Citadelle We just finished visiting the Citadelle and if you get the chance I would suggest you try to be here by ten in the morning. That is when they have the changing of the guard ceremony and it is a lot of fun to watch. They even have a pet goat that takes part so it really is a lot of fun. The Citadelle is the largest British fortress in North America. 3) Chateau Frontenac Now we're visiting Chateau Frontenac, one of the most famous hotels in all of Canada. It is a stunner. It is just absolutely beautiful. We're trying to capture it from different vantage points. The hotel was designed by American architect Bruce Price. It was one of many "château" style hotels built for the Canadian Pacific Railway company with the goal of promoting luxury tourism. Today, a night at the Frontenac starts at $379 dollars. 4) Terrasse Dufferin This boardwalk that we are currently standing on is called Terrasse Dufferin and it is a great place for a stroll. You can catch some street performers, eat some ice cream and you also get some great views of the river below. The promenade sits right outside the Chateau Frontenac and it is 425 meters in length. You can also catch a funicular nearby which takes you to the Old Lower Town. 5) Quartier Petit Champlain Petit Champlain is a neighbourhood located in the Old Lower Town. It is quite picturesque, especially when viewed from the Breakneck Stairs. The narrow cobbled streets are lined with small shops and cafes. It's a really fun neighbourhood to explore with a camera in hand. 6) Basilica Notre Dame de Quebec The Basilica Notre Dame de Quebec is the oldest church in the Americas north of Mexico. If you want to get a sneak peek at the crypt, you'll have to sign up for a guided tour. 7) Rue St. Paul We're now walking along Rue St. Paul and this is a great place to browse for antiques and you can buy some souvenirs. Just don't leave your visit to the end of the day because you may find that a lot of the shops have closed. 8) Museum of Civilization The Museum of Civilization is a great place to learn about the Aboriginal peoples of Quebec. 9) Port of Quebec We're here now in the Port Area. This is a great place to take a ferry. A lot of people come here to exercise, to fish and just to enjoy the views of the St. Lawrence river. It is a really relaxing place. The Port of Quebec is the oldest in all of Canada and it played an important role in developing the region. Today you'll find that cruises have replaced much of the former freight traffic. 10) Catch a Street Performance And lastly, you can't come to Quebec City and not catch a street performance! The city celebrates its performers and you'll often find acts taking place in the town square and parks. Grab a seat for some live entertainment and don't forget to leave a tip at the end! And that concludes our brief but very enjoyable trip to Quebec City! We hope that you enjoyed this video and that it will help inspire your Canadian travels. Travel video about destination Vancouver in Canada. Vancouver is the third largest city in Canada and one of the most beautiful on the American continent, a dynamic metropolis set in a beautiful location with a temperate climate throughout the year. Close to the harbor area, the city's skyscrapers have proliferated in recent years. The capital of the southwestern province of British Columbia has developed into an economic centre of renown. The city's oldest buildings were built less than 100 years ago because the former wooden houses of old Vancouver were destroyed by fire. Several buildings reflect the origin of their inhabitants and are similar to those in the United States and Europe. Inspired by the Colosseum in Rome, an elegant structure of pink stone and glass, Canada Place, is located in the busy centre of the new harbor district and is also the city's most recent landmark. Close by is Harbor Centre, a modern skyscraper complex with a shopping centre and a Skylift to the top floor. A glass elevator transports visitors to a 167-metre high observation platform where the view across the city, harbor and bay is overwhelming. The exciting Skytrain is the city's most popular means of transport, an ultra-modern train built on posts that zig zags its way through the city. Each of the city's most important destinations are easily accessible and it has reduced the city's traffic problems considerably. For the World Exhibition of 1986, on the edge of Chinatown, gardeners and craftsmen from Suzhou, China established Canada's first classical Chinese garden, the Doctor Sun Yat Sen Garden. Its ponds, bridges and small pavilions are similar to those in China, masterpieces of Far Eastern garden design. Everything in Vancouver is youthful, attractive and dynamic, a place in which Canadian politeness unites with the Pacific way of life!
In our latest travel video we showcase 21 things to do in the capital city of Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada in this top attractions travel guide. Fredericton is a city that offers culture vultures numerous historic buildings and attractions including top notch museums. For the adventure traveler or sports enthusiast extensive bike trails and the St John River offer endless exercise opportunities. This summer we travelled out to Fredericton, New Brunswick to visit family. With a few weeks in town, we decided to make a little video guide to give you a taste of Atlantic Canada. Here's a look at 21 things you can do around the city: 1) Changing of the Guard 2) Haunted Hike at night 3) Kayaking the Saint John River 4) Government House 5) King's Landing 6) Old Train Bridge (Walking Bridge) 7) Waterloo Row 8) Farmers Market 9) Biking along the Nashwaak Trail 10) Odell Park 11) Highland Games 12) Historic Garrison District 13) Christ Church Cathedral 14) Legislative Building 15) Beaverbrook Art Gallery 16) Exercise along the St John River 17) Fine Art Gallery 78 18) Lighthouse on the Green 19) Science East 20) University of New Brunswick Campus 21) The Playhouse Visiting King's Landing was like travelling back in time. We got to see the interior of old homes, churches, and barns from the 1800s, and for those looking to get their hands dirty, there was the option of pitching in with some of the farm work. The garrison district is the historic and cultural heart of Fredericton. This is where you can catch free performances, join heritage walking tours, and watch the changing of the guard. The Lighthouse on the Green stands on the banks of the St. John River. Though it once helped guide fishermen to shore, today the lighthouse is a popular restaurant where you can enjoy some seafood or even cool down with an ice cream. The nice thing about Fredericton is that you're never too far from nature. The city has many walking trails and biking paths that are easily accessible, and that means people spend a lot of time outdoors. This former railway bridge is now popular with pedestrians. It has great views of the St. John River and the 2 university campuses that sit up on the hill. Waterloo Row is one of the prettiest streets in the city. It is lined with historic homes and mansions that look over the river. If you happen to be in town over the weekend, be sure to check out the Farmers' Market for some delicious eats! The Nashwaak Trail is part of an extensive trail system and it's great for either walking or biking. We managed to spot quite a bit of wildlife during our outing, including a Great Blue Heron, a beaver, and lots of chipmunks. Gallery 78 is the oldest private art gallery in New Brunswick and it hosts exhibitions throughout the year. Christ Church Cathedral has a very active music schedule. During the summer months they host choirs and recitals. Admission is by donation with the proceeds going back into the community. The Legislative Building is the home to the Legislative Assembly of New Brunswick. Guided visits must be arranged in advance. For art lovers, there's the option of visiting the Beaverbrook Art Gallery. This gallery features the work of both Canadian and international artists. Odell Park is a massive park located in the middle of Fredericton. It has many trails that run through the forest and some of the trees there are believed to be over 400 years old. It's a nice green escape and the perfect place to exercise in the summer. The changing of the guard is a ceremony not to be missed. You can watch guards re-enact a drill ceremony to the beat of a piper and drummer. For a spooky look at the city's past, you can join a haunted hike that takes you on a walking tour of Fredericton after dark. Expect to meet lots of ghostly characters along the way. The best way to experience the St. John River is by going out on the water. If you drop by Second Nature Outdoors, you can rent kayaks, canoes, and stand up paddle boards. This is the official residence of the Lieutenant Governor of New Brunswick, and it's where foreign dignitaries visiting Fredericton stay. This former jail turned science centre is a fun place for children. The university of New Brunswick and St. Thomas University have a shared campus with beautiful grounds. Even if you're not a student, the campus is worth a visit. If you're looking to catch a performance, then head down to the Playhouse. They host all sorts of music, dance, and theatre productions. And that's a little glimpse of Fredericton. We really enjoyed our summer visit to the city, and we hope you'll have the chance to check it out too! "The good people of the Canadian government wouldn't allow me entry. I'll be back this summer and will hopefully see all my Canadian fans!" the R&B; star tweeted to his followers (the tweet appears to have since been deleted). Brown gave no reason why he was denied entry into Canada. Live Nation cited "immigration issues" when it announced late Tuesday that the Between The Sheets Tour dates featuring Brown and Trey Songz at the Bell Centre in Montreal on Tuesday night and at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto on Wednesday night were canceled. The promoter said ticket refunds will be made at the points of purchase. In 2009, Brown was sentenced to five years' probation for assaulting then-girlfriend Rihanna. In September 2014, the Grammy-winning singer secured another plea deal for assaulting a man outside a Washington, D.C., hotel and was sentenced to time served. Two shows canceled as a result. Singer Chris Brown canceled two shows in Montreal and Toronto after announcing Tuesday he was denied entry into Canada. “Unfortunately I will not be able to perform in front of sold out crowds in Montreal & Toronto,” he tweeted, hours before the Montréal show, in which he was set to perform with Trey Songz and Tyga. “The good people of the Canadian government wouldn’t allow me entry. I’ll be back this summer and will hopefully see all my Canadian fans!” Brown did not explain why he was denied entry, and neither did his publicist, who confirmed the denial of entry to the Los Angeles Times, but reports suggest it may be related to his criminal history, which includes pleading guilty to assaulting then-girlfriend Rihanna in 2009 and felony assault in 2013. Canadian fans of Chris Brown will have to wait a little longer to see the singer in person. Brown announced over Twitter Tuesday that he was denied entry into Canada and will have to cancel his scheduled concerts in Montreal (Feb. 24) and Toronto (Feb. 25). “Unfortunately I will not be able to perform in front of sold out crowds in Montreal & Toronto,” he tweeted. “The good people of the Canadian government wouldn’t allow me entry. I’ll be back this summer and will hopefully see all my Canadian fans!” The Kiss Kiss singer was supposed to make an appearance at Drake’s annual OVO festival in Toronto last summer, but the planned collaboration was nixed due to his criminal record in the U.S. Brown, who is touring with Trey Songz and Tyga, has had numerous brushes with the law over the years. He was charged and sentenced for felony assault of then-girlfriend Rihanna before the 2009 Grammy Awards, and more recently was jailed in 2014 for probation violations. In 2010, Brown was also banned from entering the United Kingdom TAGS- Chris Brown: I've been banned from Canada Chris Brown: I've been banned from Canada - Free Republic Chris Brown: I've been banned from Canada - Free Republic Chris Brown: I've been banned from Canada - What's ... The Times of India 2015-03-26Canada ( /ˈkænədə/) is a North American country consisting of ten provinces and three territories. Located in the northern part of the continent, it extends from the Atlantic Ocean in the east to the Pacific Ocean in the west, and northward into the Arctic Ocean. Spanning over 9,900,000 km2 (3,800,000 sq mi), Canada is the world's second-largest country by total area, and its common border with the United States is the longest land border in the world.
The land that is now Canada has been inhabited for millennia by various Aboriginal peoples. Beginning in the late 15th century, British and French colonial expeditions explored, and later settled, along the region's Atlantic coast. France ceded nearly all of its colonies in North America in 1763 after the Seven Years' War. In 1867, with the union of three British North American colonies through Confederation, Canada was formed as a federal dominion of four provinces. This began an accretion of provinces and territories and a process of increasing autonomy; the Canada Act 1982 severed the vestiges of legal dependence on Britain.
Justin Pierre James Trudeau, MP (born December 25, 1971) is a Canadian politician. He has represented the Montreal electoral division of Papineau in the Canadian House of Commons since 2008 as a member of the Liberal Party and currently serves as the party's critic for youth, post-secondary education, and amateur sport.
Trudeau is the eldest son of the late former Canadian prime minister Pierre Trudeau and Margaret Sinclair Trudeau Kemper. His maternal grandfather, James Sinclair, was also a federal cabinet minister.
Trudeau was born on December 25, 1971, in Ottawa, Ontario. He was only the second child in Canadian history to be born when one of his parents was prime minister; the first was John A. Macdonald's youngest daughter Margaret Mary Macdonald, and Trudeau's younger brothers Alexandre (Sacha) (born December 25, 1973) and Michel (1975–98) were the third and fourth, respectively. Pierre and Margaret Trudeau separated in 1977, when Justin was six years old, and Pierre retired as prime minister in 1984. Of his mother and father's marriage, Trudeau said in 2009, "They loved each other incredibly, passionately, completely. But there was 30 years between them and my mom never was an equal partner in what encompassed my father's life, his duty, his country."
On a commenc? ensemble
On a pris vers l'Est
Avec rien dans nos vestes
Juste un peu de quoi tenir
Jusqu'? la prochaine ville
On a coup? les fronti?res
On a dormi en plein air
On a travaill? la nuit
Travers? les guerres
Un vieux r?ve d'enfant
Voir la couleur du ciel au Pakistan
Toucher la mer de Chine
Les portes du Gange
On a continu? ensemble
On a pris la mer
On a br?l? l'hiver
Fancy hotel rooms
Windows with a view
Staring into nothing
I thought I saw you
Your colours dancing in my mind
But they were only neon signs
Oh canada
I'm trying to find you
Will you wait for me.
There's people on the street
I know I'll never meet
I wonder what they're thinking
What their dreams are
But they just keep on walking by
I can see the questions in their eyes
Oh canada
You're a tree among towers
Just starting to climb
Please don't grow too quickly now
Don't leave us all behind
Pages of progress start to turn
Too quickly and the pages burn
Let's hope that we don't learn - too late
Let's hope it's never too late to learn
No don't let the madness wash you way.
Life keeps rolling by
Before it goes I'll try
To be stronger - to be wiser
Maybe just understand
What makes people fight to survive
While by themselves they slowly sigh
Oh canada -
Where are you going
Will you wait for me
Oh canada
I'm trying to find you
A look out California
Ooo-ooo, I gotta warn ya
Here comes Canada
Canada, you got an open door
You got so many things
I swear, I never saw them before
So much more, you got a world in store
You got a home from home, got a hold so strong
Can't seem to ignore
These things I do
I do for nobody else but me
A look out California
Ooo-ooo, I gotta warn ya
Here comes Canada
Canada, you proved your worth
You got snow peaked mountains tumbling down
You had them from birth
Say it clear, so the world can hear
I swear I never left you
Without shedding a tear
These things I do
I do for nobody else but me
A look out California
Ooo-ooo, I gotta warn ya
Here comes Canada
These things I do
I do for nobody else but me
A look out California
Ooo-ooo, I gotta warn ya
If I could have a day or two
Just to spend some time with you
I think I would
And if I could have a month or two
Just to spend my time with you
I think I would
But the light's fading in the distance
I drive my weary way home
Skylight is red with all the citylights
And driving's such a long way home
I've been saving half the year
To make this trip and come back here
But now it's done
You tell me that my accent's changed
apart from that I'm still the same
But now it's done
The light's fading in the distance
I drive my weary way home
Skylight is red with all the citylights
Glasgow's such a long way home
See the light fading in the distance
I drive my weary way home
Skylight is red with all the citylights
I'm driving such a long way home
I'm flying back to Canada
Looking up at all the stars as we take off
These three weeks seem so short somehow
I wish they were starting now
As we take off
But the light's fading in the distance
I drive my weary way home
Skylight is bright with all the citylights
I'm not scared of waking up
I'm not afraid of getting cut
'Cause you can't take that stuff to Canada
You can't take it anywhere
You could la, la, la, la, la
And you could lie to all your friends
But you can't take that stuff to Canada
You can't take it anywhere
I used to have a golden tongue
But now the words just feel like stones
'Cause you can't take that stuff to Canada
J'?tais tranquille, sans probl?me
J'?tais tranquille, sans probl?me
Dans mon r?ve chloroform?
Pourtant j'avais mis du temps
A bien me cacher sous l'oreiller

Sans me regarder

Novembre 1863
Au creux des Appalaches
Quand le desert ferme la marche
Pour la vie, du g?n?ral Lee
Le coeur d'un homme de couleur
Pour la tunique bleue
On a laiss? mourir nos terres
Chattanooga Tennessee pleure
Fleuve rouge des soldats
Chattanooga Tennessee pleure
T'as coul? au fond Joe
T'es derri?re les barreaux
T'as coul? au fond Joe
On donne pas cher de ta peau
J'ai pas compris quand l'avocat m'a dit
Mon p'tit ?a va te co?ter cher
Moi je voulais juste un bouquin ? 20 balles
"La vengeance du tueur cannibale"
T'as coul? au fond Joe
T'es derri?re les barreaux
T'as coul? au fond Joe
On donne pas cher de ta peau
Devinez qui vient me voir samedi soir
T'as coul? au fond Joe
T'es derri?re les barreaux
T'as coul? au fond Joe
On donne pas cher de ta peau
T'as coul? au fond Joe
T'es derri?re les barreaux
T'as coul? au fond Joe
J'entends partout tes cris d'alarme
On descendra vers l'?quateur
I'm gonna move to Canada
Yeah I've made up my mind
Leave everything behind
I'll catch a plane, fly away from this rain
I'm gonna move to Canada
I'm gonna meet Neil Young
I just know we'll get along
Show up at his house
Convince him and his spouse
I'll pick up my guitar and play
A couple of my songs
A couple of my songs
A couple of my songs
That I'll sing at the top of my lungs
I'm gonna move to Canada
Yeah I've made up my mind
Leave everything behind
I'll catch a plane, fly away from this rain
Mister Young will be impressed
And offer me a record deal
And tell me to call him Neil
We'll have a ball until Canada's too small
Then I'll pack up my guitar and I
Will move to the US
I'll move to the US
I'll move to the US
To be a sensational succes
I'm gonna move to Canada
Yeah I've made up my mind
Leave everything behind
I'll catch a plane, fly away from this rain
After Canada the USA is a piece of cake
All the sales records I'll break
"The Best Thing Since The Beatles"
Is what magazines will write
With my guitar and band
I will conquer every town
I'll conquer every town
I'll conquer every town
Me, the singing rock'n roll clown
I still wanna move to Canada
But for now I'll just stay here
I think it's best for my career
When I get home from the office
Where I've worked all my life
I pick up my guitar and play
A couple of my old songs
A couple of my old songs
A couple of my old songs
And I think: "Damn"
"Neil Young would have loved these songs,
He would have loved these songs"
Maybe next year
Maybe next year
Maybe next year
Maybe next year
