Parksville

Parksville is a quaint city located about 40 kilometers north of Nanaimo on Vancouver Island in British Columbia. It is a very lovely and cute city with a small town charm. It has a population of just over 10,000 people and it is most famous for its outdoor beauty and its long sandy beaches. Every year, there is a well-known and famous annual festival here. It is called the Parksville Beachfest and the main event of the festival is a huge sandcastle-building competition.

The main employers in Parksville are from the service industry, the construction industry and the tourism industry. There are also many small businesses here as well as many retired people that have moved here because of the city's mild climate.

The major tourist attractions in Parksville are Parksville Beach, Rathtrevor Beach, Riptide Lagoon Adventure Golf, the Englishman River Estuary, World Parrot Refuge, Milner Gardens & Woodlands and the Bill Helin Gallery.
