World Tube https://www.youtube.com/user/World1Tube Travel Guide South Africa http://bit.ly/12NxxNm Shepherd Entertainment takes you on a tour of Pretoria in South Africa, which was named after Andries Pretorius, a Boer strategies who beat the Zulu. Visit Pretoria in South Africa Pretoria was named after Andries Pretorius, a Boer strategies who beat the Zulu. The first war between the English and Boer to get independence ended with the defeat of the English. But 18 years later, they had a decisive victory and they ruled all over the South African republic. It's interesting that the later prime minister, the young Churchan took part as a correspondent in the second Boer war. The sites of Pretoria remind us of the two wars even today. Paul Kruger was the respected President of the country between the two wars. In Church Wit, we can find the simple house where he lived for seven years. The entrance is guarded by two marble lions. The furniture looks as if the President had just stood from his desk. In one of the rooms, the copy of the room in which he died during his exile in Switzerland has been furnished. Behind the house, a locomotive has been displayed that he traveled around the country in during his seven active years. In the street named after Kruger, we can find the red bricked church and the town hall with the Pretoria statues in its yard. The brown statue of President Kruger has been placed in the main square called church square. Statues made in Italy stood in a store houses a secret for a long time. It was stood up only after the second Boer war. The square has always been a heart of the town. In the middle of the square, there's a small church around which markets and auctions where held for long time. In the square, we can find the palace of justice and the building of the old parliament with the clock tower. The peace agreement closing the English Boer war was signed into the Victorian building of Melrose house in May 1902. Boer Trekker monument is six kilometers from the town center. The imposing work was made in memory of the battle of Blood River where the Boer beat the Zulu at last. Further way above forty kilometers from Pretoria, we can see premiere diamond mine which is famous because the biggest diamond of the world was found here. It took cutters from Amsterdam two years to make the diamonds called the star of Africa and the smaller star of Africa from the 3,106 karat precious stone which belongs to the British royal crown. The crown can be admired in the treasury of the towel of London. In the main square full of life hawkers offer fast food for example boiled or roasted corn. "The Mystery of the Brown Mountain Lights " is an episode of Carl White's Life in the Carolinas, which first aired in syndication March 21, 2015. In this episode we travel with Carl to Burke County NC to explore the famous Mystery of the Brown Mountain Lights. These lights have been the subject of songs, folk tales, speculation, and investigation for over one hundred years. Sightings At the 20 mile marker off Highway 181 near Morganton is an overlook that provides an extraordinary view. Strange lights have been reported from this site and others nearby since at least the end of the 19th century. A September 1913 article appearing in the Charlotte Observer reported members of the Morganton Fishing Club seeing strange lights near the mountain. Soon afterwards, Congressman E. Y. Webb requested that the US Geological Survey investigate; they concluded that the lights were train lights. Later, Senators F. M. Simmons and L. S. Overman requested another more extensive investigation and George Rogers Mansfield was commissioned to conduct the survey. He attributed the lights to headlights, stationary lights, and brush fires. C. W. Smith and Les Burril, Retired, US Forest Service both report that they have seen the lights. According to Les, they looked like candles, then diminished. He reports that he has seen the lights numerous times. C. W. says he's seen them twice. Daniel B. Caton, PhD, professor, Dept of Physics and Astronomy, Appalachian State University and Joshua P. Warren, an author and paranormal investigator who has spent 20 years investigating the lights since he saw the lights as a child, agree on at least two things: we must separate fact from fiction, and at least a small percentage of the Brown Mountain Lights are authentic. Theories Theories about what causes the Brown Mountain Lights range from the paranormal to the scientific, and everything in between: gasses, electrical fields, spirits walking, underground military installations, headlights from trains, planes, or automobiles, and even aliens. According to paranormal theorists as well as scientists, the lights are similar to ball lightening and they are extremely rare. But as one visitor says, "No one knows for sure." What causes these strange lights? According to Josh Warren, Brown Mountain is a geological conduit for massive amounts of electricity that can trigger paranormal activities. At the end of the day, though, people base their theories about the cause of the lights on their own areas of interest. Evidence Charles Braswell, Jr. is an author and professional photographer. He has invested twelve years investigating the lights, often setting still and video cameras on tripods throughout the night. On October 15, 2001, Charles captured one of the best known photos of the Brown Mountain Lights. He later wrote the book Are Those the Brown Mountain Lights? Dr. Caton and his team have installed two cameras overlooking the Brown Mountain to provide a constant view of the lights. By sequencing digital images taken across the gorge, the individual frames are built into time lapse videos. Dr. Caton's team rules out possible misidentifications such as ATM's, military aircraft, or other manmade sources of the lights, and posts them on YouTube. What can you do to help? If you happen to be looking across the Linville Gorge toward Brown Mountain and see some unusual lights, contact Dr. Caton with the following information: date, time, weather, behavior (what did the light do?), color of the lights, and the exact location where you saw them. Who knows? Perhaps YOU will help solve the mystery of the Brown Mountain Lights! Carl White’s Life In The Carolinas is an Emmy nominated TV and award winning show in its sixth season. It airs throughout the Carolinas. Check guide listings for air times. For more on the show visit www.lifeinthecarolinas.com

Warsaw is Poland's largest city and an economic, political, and cultural centre. It's a bustling metropolis harbouring an unforgettable history and today offers parkland as well as a city full of culture - you will find historic palaces and churches amongst modern architecture, while cosy cafes compete with fashionable clubs. The city's history itself is believed to have begun with the creation and development of Old Warsaw (Stara Warszawa), which was set on what is today known as the Old Town (Stare Miasto). Mazovian Prince Bolesław II brought prosperous traders to the Old Town, and his headquarters were based there. Warsaw is also known for its famous musical resident, Fryderyk Chopin, who for the first half of his 39 years, was associated with Warsaw. It was in Warsaw that he studied music, where he was formally educated, and where his heart found its final resting place. The last time Chopin played a concert in Warsaw was in October of 1830, at the National Theatre. He died on October 17, 1849 and was buried at the Père Lachaise cemetery in Paris. His heart, however, came back to Warsaw -- it was his most fervent desire to have his heart buried in Warsaw -- and it now lies in the Holy Cross Church (kościół św. Krzyża) on Krakowskie Przedmieście Street. Poland Tourism http://www.poland.travel/en-gb/ When visiting Warsaw, check out the following places: Łazienki Królewskie Park-Palace Complex: The park and palace complex at Łazienki is one of the most beautiful of this type in Europe. Established in the 17th century, the landscape gardens feature many interesting architectural monuments, especially the Palace on the Island built for King Stanislaw August Poniatowski -- Poland's last monarch. It served as his summer residence and was famous for the Thursday dinners. Wilanów Park-Palace Complex: The summer residence of King Jan III Sobieski and then Augustus II as well as subsequent aristocratic families. It stands as an excellent representation of European Baroque at its height and a homage to the former greatness of the Republic. The palace is surrounded by a grandiose, two level Baroque Italian garden and a romantic park in an English style. Wilanów is the venue of important cultural events and concerts. The former stables house the Poster Museum. Palace of Culture and Science: Completed in 1955 as a 'gift from the Soviet people', the building is the embodiment of Socialist Realist architecture. It is still the tallest building in Poland and fulfils the role of a cultural centre accommodating theatres, museums, a cinema and a concert hall. The highest viewing platform in Warsaw, on the 30th foor, offers an excellent panoramic view of the city. Warsaw Rising Museum: Opened in 2004, on the 60th anniversary of the outbreak of the Warsaw Uprising, the museum pays tribute to all those who fought and died for their country's independence. Housed in a former tramway power station, the modern museum guides visitors through interactive displays, video footage and photographs. National Museum: The museum contains a rich collection of exhibits from antiquity to modern times. The building originates from the inter-war period. During the World War II it secretly stored some of the Royal Castle treasures. It organizes numerous temporary exhibitions presenting art from all over the world. The Vistula-side building wing is the Museum of the Polish Army presenting the history of Polish military featuring an interesting outdoor exhibition. Warsaw Zoological Garden: Established in 1928, the garden is now inhabited by several thousand animals, yet the real personalities of the Warsaw Zoo are the brown bears whose area is located outside the garden, near Solidarności Avenue, and can be viewed by passers-by. University of Warsaw Library: The facade of the building, which resembles a line of open books, is one of the most interesting examples of contemporary architecture in Warsaw. The roof garden is open to the public. Places related to Fryderyk Chopin: Fryderyk Chopin is undoubtedly the best known resident of Warsaw. He spent the first 20 years of his life in the city. Here he studied music, learned the manners of society and gave his first concerts. Walking the streets of Warsaw you will pass buildings where he stayed or which he visited. There are many places which are a homage paid to his talent and Warsaw boasts the world's largest Chopin memorabilia collection. noodls 2015-04-02Brown University is a private, Ivy League university located in Providence, Rhode Island, United States. Founded in 1764 prior to American independence from the British Empire as the College in the English Colony of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations early in the reign of King George III (1760–1820), Brown is the third oldest institution of higher education in New England and seventh oldest in the United States.
Brown was the first college in the nation to accept students regardless of religious affiliation. Academically, Brown consists of The College, Graduate School, Alpert Medical School, and the School of Engineering. Brown's international programs are organized through the Watson Institute for International Studies. The New Curriculum, instituted in 1969, eliminated distribution requirements and allows any course to be taken on a satisfactory/no credit basis. In addition, there are no pluses or minuses in the letter grading system. The school has the oldest undergraduate engineering program in the Ivy League (1847). Pembroke College, Brown's women's college, merged with the university in 1971. While Brown is considered a small research university with 689 full-time faculty and 2,000 graduate students, five of its professors and two of its alumni have been honored as Nobel Laureates. The faculty added 100 new professors in the past 10 years under the Boldly Brown campaign.
Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson (born 15 April 1990) is an English actress and model.

Watson's work on the Harry Potter series has earned her several awards and more than £10 million. She made her modelling debut for Burberry's Autumn/Winter campaign in 2009.
In 2007, Watson announced her involvement in two productions: the television adaptation of the novel Ballet Shoes and an animated film, The Tale of Despereaux. Ballet Shoes was broadcast on 26 December 2007 to an audience of 5.2 million, and The Tale of Despereaux, based on the novel by Kate DiCamillo, was released in 2008 and grossed over US $86 million in worldwide sales.
