Evil comes in a school uniform.
The devil wears a grey skirt and her name is Kimberly Joyce.
Revenge knows no mercy
Kimberly Joyce: Look, I'm really trying okay, but I don't know how to be sexy! I mean, I'm only fifteen!
Randa: [while watching pornography in which a woman is moaning loudly] How... how is it, please, that two men... at one time... how can this be?::Kimberly Joyce: One of them is doing her up the butt.::Randa: Up the... such a thing is not possible... it is too small, the aperture.
Kimberly Joyce: Brittany and I are the best of friends; we confide in each other. Like the other day, Brittany confided that she feels dirty when she masturbates, but I told her that it was normal and healthy, even when you do it as much as she does.
Kimberly Joyce: [to Emily Klein, a lesbian reporter] I could never give up men, I like cock too much, but sometimes, I just need a woman's touch.
Kimberly Joyce: Kathy?::Kathy: Yes?::Kimberly Joyce: Kathy!::Kathy: Yes?::Kimberly Joyce: Do you fuck dogs? When you were fucking my dog, he was going like this - [imitates a dog having an orgasm]
[from trailer]::Randa: Then he said, "Now I'm going to touch you on your boobs".::Mr. Anderson: I would never say "boobs", I'm an English teacher! Breasts... I would say breasts.
[from trailer]::Kimberly Joyce: It's like the world is this orchestra and I'm the conductor.
Kimberly Joyce: I have respect for all races, but I'm very glad that I was born white. As a woman, it's the best race to be. Especially if you want to become an actress, like I do. [pause] If I wasn't white, then the next thing I would wanna be is Asian because a lot of men like Asian girls because they think they're docile and subservient and sweet which I don't really think is true because I once met this Asian girl at summer camp one time and she was a real bitch. [pause] If I couldn't be white and I also couldn't be Asian, then my third choice would be African-American because I've always wanted to be a gospel singer and also, black men are more forgiving if your butt gets big. Except I'd definitely want light skin and Caucasian features like... Vanessa Williams or Halle Berry. And finally, you know, no offense or anything Randa, but my very last choice would be Arab. I mean, truth be told you're not in a very enviable position. There's a lot of resentment in this country toward the Middle East and there's a lot of stereotypes floating around which I don't think are true because in the short amount of time I've known you, you haven't tried to bomb anybody and you currently smell okay to me.
Kimberly Joyce: Okay, it is time to open up my Big Bag of Fun. These are assorted items that I've stolen from Dad for our consumption this evening. Item number one, Dad's wine-flavored cigars.::Brittany Wells: Ech, don't those things make you cough?::Kimberly Joyce: No, they're cigars, you don't have to swallow - I mean, inhale. [offers one to Randa]::Randa: No thanks.::Kimberly Joyce: Are you sure, Randa? To become succesful actresses, you have to learn how to smoke them. It's trendy.::Brittany Wells: That's true.::Randa: No thank you, I do not smoke.::Kimberly Joyce: Okay... Uh, item number two, one of my dad's many *many* pornos - Titty Lickers 2: The Search for Golden Curlies.::Brittany Wells: Ew! Why would we wanna watch a porno?::Kimberly Joyce: 'Cause they're funny. Besides, we have to teach Randa about sex and this is the best way to learn. And item number three - and I could get into real real trouble if I got caught with these - Dad's Twinkies.::Brittany Wells: Eh - too fattening.::Kimberly Joyce: Would you *please* stop criticizing everything in my Big Bag of Fun? I spent a lot of time putting this together!
Kimberly Joyce: Put it back on, I wanna watch the Real World.::Brittany Wells: I hate the Real World. those girls are bitches.::Kimberly Joyce: You're a bitch!::Brittany Wells: Yeah, well you're a trollop.::Kimberly Joyce: Fine! [pause] I'm sorry I called you a bitch.::Brittany Wells: It's okay. I'm sorry I called you a trollop. I don't really even know what one is.::Kimberly Joyce: It's a promiscuous woman, often a prostitute.::Brittany Wells: [thoughtfully] Hm...

Afghanistan and Pakistan, though situated in Asia, are considered part of the Greater Middle East. U.S. intervention in both Afghanistan and Pakistan started with the Carter Administration after the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan. The relations of the U.S. with Afghanistan and Pakistan have been closely tied to the War on terrorism that has happened there. American policy has been instrumental in coordinating the ongoing conflicts in Afghanistan and northwestern Pakistan. In recent times, political situations of both countries have been bracketed under a single theater of operations, denoted by the newly coined American term "AfPak." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_intervention_in_the_Middle_East Sudan -- United States relations are extremely complicated, both politically and economically. China is critical of Sudan's human rights record and has sent a strong UN Peacekeeping force to Darfur. Many Sudanese, both civilians and Government officials say that the interference of the U.S. and other Western nations in Darfur and against leader Omar al-Bashir is part of a covert plot to throw their country in economic (since business relations between the two have been defunct since 1997), governmental, and territorial unrest. U.S. relations with Sudan were further strained in the 1990s. Sudan backed Iraq in its invasion of Kuwait and provided sanctuary and assistance to Islamic terrorist groups. In the early and mid-1990s, Carlos the Jackal, Osama bin Laden, Abu Nidal, and other terrorist leaders resided in Khartoum. Sudan's role in the radical Pan-Arab Islamic Conference represented a matter of great concern to the security of American officials and dependents in Khartoum, resulting in several drawdowns and/or evacuations of U.S. personnel from Khartoum in the early-mid 1990s. Sudan's Islamist links with international terrorist organizations represented a special matter of concern for the U.S. Government, leading to Sudan's 1993 designation as a state sponsor of terrorism and a suspension of U.S. Embassy operations in Khartoum in 1996. In October 1997, the U.S. imposed comprehensive economic, trade, and financial sanctions against the Sudan. In August 1998, in the wake of the East Africa embassy bombings, the U.S. launched cruise missile strikes against Khartoum. The last U.S. Ambassador to the Sudan, Ambassador Tim Carney, departed post prior to this event and no new ambassador has been designated since. The U.S. Embassy is headed by a charge d'affaires. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sudan%E2%80%93United_States_relations Cyprus -- United States relations are bilateral relations between Cyprus and the United States. Cyprus has an embassy in Washington, D.C. and a consulate general in New York City. The United States has an embassy in Nicosia. Relations between the two countries can be described as being excellent, both sharing membership in the United Nations, International Monetary Fund, the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe, the World Bank and the World Trade Organisation. Cyprus has been an observer to the Organization of American States.[1] According to the 2012 U.S. Global Leadership Report, 26% of Cypriots approve of U.S. leadership, with 35% disapproving and 39% uncertain. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cyprus%E2%80%93United_States_relations Image By Artur Andrychowski (originally posted to Flickr as 3B) [CC-BY-SA-2.0 (http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/2.0)], via Wikimedia Commons

The food court we visited was organized at Little Wood, a temporary urban garden in Berlin Mitte which serves as an experiment for metropolitans to explore urban nature. The Contemporary Food Lab, initiator of Little Wood, and Carson Chan, curator of the event, invited chefs from cultures we hear a lot about in the news recently to cook a typical summer dish from their home country. Food gives people direct insights into cultures, talking about food, its preparation and ingredients breaks the ice in conversations and makes us see countries as homes where people live and eat - just as everywhere else in the world. At Little Wood’s Food Court visitors had the chance to try „Borani“ from Iran, „Mujaddara“ from Palestine, „Kibbe“ from Irak, „Fried Manioc“ from Sudan, „Sabich“ from Isreal, „Borscht“ from Ukraine and more dishes from Tibet, Afghanistan and Syria- all chefs serving their food side by side to international visitors. A wonderful day at the garden, eating into new cultural dimensions. Chefs and Restaurants featured in this video: Themroc (Ali from Iran), Tibet Kitchen (Sonam from Tibet), Zweistrom (Ahmed from Iraq), Djimalaya - Hummus & Grill (Ofer from Israel), Matreshka (David from Ukraine) and Aga from Syria who cooks at Damas. Little Wood is open on selected days in September, check out their Facebook page and website for more information. http://www.littlewoodberlin.org https://www.facebook.com/littlewoodberlin http://carsonchan.net/ Music "Polyphasic Consparicy" and "Aurelic" by Torley - torley.com

Caused by the parasitic protozoa Leishmania donovani and transmitted by sandflies, Phlebotomus orientalis, visceral leishmaniasis (VL) or kala azar, is endemic over large areas in South Sudan. However, recent epidemics have caused an estimated 100,000 deaths in these regions. This project evaluated the potential of using climatic and environmental factors derived from NASA Earth observations to forecast outbreaks of VL, which will enable the International Research Institute for Climate and Society (IRI) to create an Early Warning System tool, based on similar products developed for malaria and meningitis in the IRI Data Library. Looking through some tapes, I came across this Dateline NBC show on an inestigation on the Sudanese "chemical factory" bombings by former US President Bill Clinton. I watched it today and the clues to the BS of the war on terror are here. YOU must watch and pay attention and then ask yourself a lot of questions. Also take note that they wondered if the US would have to be concerned about terrorism. You know what happen a few years later! How the media is able to predict things with the accuracy of a prophet is beyond me. Also take note of the Pakistan connection. I am sure that with ALL of the terror issues, Pakistan ALWAYS comes up, but yet there is no war with them. That is curious. The US goes to war with countries who are not involved, but leave thoese who ARE involved alone. Mmmm.... After this Times Square BS (it IS BS), that is just a "reminder" to us that terroism is not gone and we should be prepared for the big one that will have to lead us into war with Iran. Do you really think that after all that the US did (9-11 and other terror events) to surround Iran for Israel that they are just going to leave? They WILL attack iran, it is just a matter or when and what excuse they need. They already tried the "social unrust" tactic, but Iran did not fall for it. They keep talking about the nuclear issue, but so far it is not enough to justify war to the rest of the world. Just be on the look out and remember - if it does not make sense, it does not make sense! Also remember that something has to happen in order for the US to go to war with Iran, so keep that in mind also. These are the same dirty tricks since the CIA was founded and it does not matter who the presidents were/are, they are all on the same team - except the one who was shot in Dallas!

South Sudan became the world's newest state when it seceded from Sudan in 2011 but by December 2013 President Salva Kiir had sacked his entire cabinet and accused his former vice-president Riek Machar of instigating a coup, which sparked off violent clashes in the capital Juba. The initial conflict may have been based on a power struggle between two of the top members of the Sudan People's Liberation Movement but the divisions between two of the largest ethnic groups, the Dinka and the Nuer, soon became the driving force of tit-for-tat attacks across the country. The UN Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS) has warned that they need greater military force to protect civilians in the country and aid agencies are predicting food, water and medical supply shortages. With a humanitarian disaster seemingly on the way, we look at the background to what's going on in South Sudan. Libya has intercepted a Sudanese military plane loaded with ammunition in its airspace, and declared Sudan's military attache persona non grata, amid growing accusations Khartoum was supporting Islamist rebels in the country. Libya's newly elected government accused Sudan on Sunday of breaching its "national sovereignty," by flying in ammunition destined for "terrorist groups". Sudan confirmed it had sent a military plane but said it had only carried equipment for a joint Libyan-Sudanese state border force. "Sudan is interfering by supporting a terrorist group," a Libyan statement said. "This work from the Sudanese state violates [the sovereignty] of the State of Libya and interferes with its affairs," it said, adding that Libya had asked the Sudanese military attache to leave the country. Ammunition had been found on the plane during an inspection at Kufra airport, near the border to Sudan, it added. The government said the plane made a refuelling stop in the Kufra, and was bound for the Tripoli-Matiga airport, currently under Islamist rebel control. 'Misunderstanding' Sudan described the incident as a misunderstanding, saying the plane had carried equipment for a joint Sudanese-Libyan border force to tackle smuggling and human trafficking. "The plane did not carry any material for armed groups in Libya," Sudan's army spokesman al-Sawarmi Khalid told the local TV channel Shouruq. The Sudanese army was not interfering in Libya, he added. Last month, the US accused the UAE of secretly carrying out air strikes against militias in Tripoli that reportedly killed 13 people. Libya is in turmoil three years after the ousting of Muammar Gaddafi as armed groups have seized the capital Tripoli and set up an alternative parliament and government.
Subscribe to VICE News here: http://bit.ly/Subscribe-to-VICE-News A series of bloody attacks has rocked Kenya since the September 2013 Westgate mall massacre in Nairobi that left 67 people dead. Curiously, some recent victims in these attacks have been Muslim sheiks that were associated with al Shabaab, the jihadi group that took credit for the deadly Westgate attack. Even more curiously, all of the high-profile sheik murders have taken place in the same area in Mombasa, Kenya's second largest city. VICE News headed to Mombasa to speak with Abubaker Shariff Ahmed, the highest profile radical sheik in Kenya, before he was assassinated in April, and to get a close-up view of those living and dying in the crosshairs of a holy war being fought on Kenya's streets. 04/05/2012 Videos posted by Harper's Magazine show the private contractor formerly known as Blackwater in Iraq running over a woman with a car, smashing into Iraqis' cars to move them out of the way and firing a rifle into traffic. The behavior by Blackwater seen in the videos adds even more fuel to evidence that the company "encouraged and rewarded the destruction of Iraqi life." The videos are included in a piece by Charles Glass entitled "The Warrior Class" that looks at the rise of private security contractors. Glass had been shown the videos by a former Blackwater employee. Describing the video dated April 2006 that shows a woman being hit by a Blackwater vehicle, Glass writes: "A woman in a black full-length burka began to cross the street. The vehicle struck the woman and knocked her unconscious body into the gutter. The cars slowed for a moment, but did not stop, nor did they even determine whether the victim was dead or alive. A voice in the car taking the video said, 'Oh, my God!' Yet no one was heard on the radio requesting help for her. Most sickeningly, the sequence had been set to an AC/DC song, whose pounding, metallic chorus declared: 'You've been... thunderstruck!' " Glass writes that the tape he was shown ended with the inscription, "In support of security, peace, freedom and democracy everywhere." Common Dreams *The five separate videos are joined into one here.* FACTS & FIGURES Blackwater is the mercenary firm founded as Blackwater USA in 1996 by former Navy SEAL and fundamentalist Christian Erik Prince. It received no-bid contracts from the Bush administration in Iraq, Afghanistan, and post-Katrina New Orleans. In 2009, Prince resigned as CEO. Amid scandals over misbehavior by Blackwater employees in Iraq, the company renamed itself Blackwater Worldwide in 2007, Xe Services in 2009, and Academi in 2011. Subsidiaries include Paravant LLC. nndb.com The Blackwater family of businesses includes Blackwater Training Center (the largest private firearms and tactical training center in the U. S., according to Blackwater's Web site), Blackwater Target Systems, Blackwater Security Consulting, Blackwater Canine, and Raven Development Group. contractormisconduct.org Xe Services LLC (formerly known as Blackwater) entered into a civil settlement with the U.S. State Department in which it agreed to pay a $42 million penalty ($12 million of which was suspended on the condition that it be applied toward remedial measures) for 288 alleged violations of the Arms Export Control Act (AECA) and the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) between 2003 and 2009. The alleged violations included illegal weapon exports to Afghanistan, making unauthorized business proposals to the government of Southern Sudan, and providing unauthorized services to various foreign countries. contractormisconduct.org The Obama administration awarded Academi a $250 million contract to work for the U.S. State Department and the Central Intelligence Agency in Afghanistan. thenation.com Source Article (PDF) http://harpers.org/media/pages/2012/04/pdf/HarpersMagazine-2012-04-0083857.pdf http://LeakSource.wordpress.com
Six children lay sprawled across mattresses in the crowded corner of a basic concrete hospital ward. Their tiny bodies limp; hands hooked to IV drips and eyelids swollen shut, their little chests gasping hard for air. Each child, aged between 2 and 11, has red-raw, seeping flesh wounds where fire has scorched the skin away. Three of the children, large blistered welts across their faces, lips and ears, have burns covering at least 50 percent of their bodies. On meeting three foreigners with cameras heading towards the Mother of Mercy hospital as he was driving away, a father who had just lost his child in the same attack turned his vehicle around and escorted the journalists back to the scene. Journalists are banned by the Sudanese government from entering this region and the father wanted to show these rare visitors what had just happened to his family. The area around their village of Um Serdiba has been bombed relentlessly for the last two weeks. Nine children were sleeping in a foxhole inside their house when an artillery shell blasted through the roof at 4am on Tuesday morning. One child, a girl of 16, died immediately. Then a fireball collapsed on to the foxhole, killing two others aged 10 and 8, and engulfing the rest in flames. The children come from two families, their fathers are brothers. They live in the Nuba Mountains, a rugged border region of Sudan's South Kordofan state. Three years of war The government, ruling from the capital Khartoum, has been waging a brutal war in these hills for three years against a Nuba opposition group called Sudan People's Liberation Army-North (SPLA-N), who control much of this territory. As well as journalists, the Sudanese government forbids access for international relief organisations and restricts all humanitarian aid, leaving the entire region effectively under siege. "It is continuous," said Kununa Shanta, the father of the dead child, his face a picture of devastated shock. "Daily shelling and bombardment. Shelling in the early morning and night and Antonov [war plane] bombing during the day," said Shanta. The Sudanese government has in the past denied that it targets civilians in Kordofan, saying that its military uses accurate methods to ensure that only rebels are hit. The few groups who are working to support and protect civilians in this forgotten war zone do so incognito and at great risk. "I'm not sure that they're all going to live," said the head surgeon at Mother of Mercy hospital about the surviving children, under the condition of anonymity . "One boy has burns on 70 percent of his body. You can't survive if it's 60 or 70 percent." Hospital staff sedated the children, who are deeply traumatised, and cleaned their wounds. "Burns are the worst cases. They'll need skin grafts and it's a lot of work to dress burn wounds. They will all be here for months," said the surgeon. 'Campaign of terror' The Mother of Mercy hospital, built in the fold of a red-rock valley, is the only fully functioning facility of its size in the Nuba Mountains. Al Jazeera cannot reveal its exact location because hospitals, markets and schools are frequently targeted by aerial bombing raids from Sudanese government forces (SAF). There were three small medical facilities in the Nuba Mountains, including this hospital, which cater to a population of around one million scattered across these hills. However, on January 20, one of these facilities, a field hospital run by medical charity Doctors without Borders (MSF) in a village called Frandala, was targeted from the air and bombed, causing the organisation to cease operations and withdraw from the region. Ground fighting and aerial attacks have escalated in the Nuba Mountains since peace talks failed in December. Now, civilians are enduring some of the most intense bombardment since the start of the war in 2011. At least 10,000 people have been displaced by violence in the last few weeks alone, according to local media group Nuba Reports. The UNHCR is registering thousands streaming on foot over the border into South Sudanese refugee camps. War wounds are a normality for staff at the hospital in South Kordofan, they have been treating them for three years, but the number of civilian casualties has gone up significantly since December. "We are seeing an increase in non-combatants injured... We've treated 1,706 war-wounded since 2011," said the surgeon. "All the Antonov and artillery wounded in the past two weeks have been young, they are women and children. None of them are combatants." The government in Khartoum continues to deny allegations of atrocities committed against their own people in the Nuba Mountains while advocacy groups such as the Enough Project have published reports accusing Khartoum of "crimes against humanity by extermination", driving and starving the Nuba off their land.

Despite the United Nation's eventual intervention, most of Liberia's young people continue to live in abject poverty, surrounded by filth, drug addiction, and teenage prostitution. The former child soldiers who were forced into war have been left to fend for themselves, the murderous warlords who once led them in cannibalistic rampages have taken up as so-called community leaders, and new militias are lying in wait for the opportunity to reclaim their country from a government they rightly mistrust. NEW YORK, July 11 /PRNewswire/ -- As the world slowly begins to recover from the barbaric terrorist attack last week on London's transit system, a possible new terrorist cell calling itself the Secret Organization of Al Qaeda in Europe has emerged claiming responsibility for the bombings. It has been nearly 4 years since the carnage of September 11th and 16 months since the bombing in Madrid. Who is responsible? Can they be found? Can they be stopped? The History Channel will present THE WAR AGAINST AL QAEDA, an in-depth examination of the war against terrorism and provide a detailed analysis of the current state of al Qaeda. This encore presentation, which has been updated with information on the London bombings, will air on Tuesday, July 12th at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT. On the one hand, the "War on Terrorism" has inflicted punishing blows. On the other hand, attacks continue around the world -- Madrid, Bali and Saudi Arabia with recent threats made on Denmark and Germany. More troubling is that the very success of taking down al Qaeda has resulted in the spawning of powerful regional terror groups. Little is known about these organizations -- except they use al Qaeda as a model and have a penchant for terrorism. Perhaps former CIA director George Tenet best sums up the current state of terrorism when he told Congress "the possibility of attacks against the US had, if anything escalated in the last year." THE WAR AGAINST AL QAEDA looks at: * The effect of the war in Afghanistan on al Qaeda. The US estimates that Afghanistan action resulted in the death or capture of up to a third of all active members -- including the death of Muhammad Atef, Osama bin Laden's chief of military operations. * The hunt for al Qaeda leaders. We'll showcase the cell phone tracking used to capture al Qaeda's chief of operations, Haled Sheikh Mohammed. We'll also explore the renewed hunt for bin Laden by Task Force 121, the same Special Forces unit that found Saddam Hussein. * The world wide effort to root out al Qaeda. In the United States, we'll see how the FBI uncovered a possible terrorist cell in Buffalo. In Asia, we'll look at military action in the Philippines and follow the hunt for "Hannibal," the planner behind the Bali attack, and in Europe, we'll investigate al Qaeda's role in the Spanish Rail Attack. THE WAR AGAINST AL QAEDA is produced for The History Channel by CBS News Productions. Executive Producer for The History Channel is Marc Etkind. Now reaching more than 88 million Nielsen subscribers, The History Channel(R), "Where the Past Comes Alive(R)," brings history to life in a powerful manner and provides an inviting place where people experience history personally and connects their own lives to the great lives and events of the past. In 2004, The History Channel earned five News and Documentary Emmy(R) Awards and previously received the prestigious Governor's Award from the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences for the network's "Save Our History(R)" campaign dedicated to historic preservation and history education.

Travel video about destination Ethiopia. Ethiopia is a mysterious, mountainous land in the Horn Of Africa and birthplace of Early Christianity. A country of rock churches in the north and a large variety of tribes along the Rift Valley in the south and the oldest civilised region in Africa with more than twenty five centuries of documented history. Addis Abeba is the capital of Ethiopia and within its centre is the lavishly furnished Menbere Selassie Church, final place of rest of Ethiopia’s last royal family. It contains the Empress Menen, two princes and Emperor Haile Selassie who, shortly after removal from power, died due to reasons that are in the main controversial. On many of its thirty seven islands, Lake Tana in Northern Ethiopia is well known for its ancient churches and monasteries. Dega Stefanos is located in the centre of the lake and contains one of the country’s most important monasteries. On the summit, framed by walls and hidden under great trees, is the Holy Stefanos Monastery and within a small sanctuary various mummies are preserved within glazed wooden coffins and the remains of five emperors of various dynasties lie at rest. Awash is a settlement on the edge of the nature park of the same name, inhabited by the Afar, a proud and independent tribe. On market day, people from the surrounding area meet here. For the Afar, life is hard and only the strong survive. Corn, tobacco, dates and cotton are the main trading products of this region. Dromedaries, sheep and goats are bred, and pastureland is often the subject of heated disputes. A journey through Ethiopia is also a journey through time itself. A land of rich traditions, religions and myths. A country of legends and contrast that possesses one of the most colourful histories on the African continent.

Press TV 2015-03-20Sudan (i/suːˈdæn/ or /suːˈdɑːn/;Arabic: السودان, as-Sūdān), officially the Republic of the Sudan (Arabic: جمهورية السودان, Jumhūrīyat as-Sūdān), sometimes called North Sudan, is an Arab state in North Africa (sometimes also considered to be part of the Middle East). It is bordered by Egypt to the north, the Red Sea to the northeast, Eritrea and Ethiopia to the east, South Sudan to the south, the Central African Republic to the southwest, Chad to the west, and Libya to the northwest. The population of Sudan is a combination of indigenous inhabitants of Nile Valley, and descendants of migrants from the Arabian Peninsula. Due to the process of Arabisation common throughout the rest of the Arab World, today Arab culture predominates in Sudan. The majority of the population of Sudan adheres to Islam. The Nile divides the country between east and west sides.
The people of Sudan have a long history extending from antiquity which is intertwined with the history of Egypt. Sudan suffered seventeen years of civil war during the First Sudanese Civil War (1955–1972) followed by ethnic, religious and economic conflicts between the Muslim Arab northern Sudanese and the mostly animist and Christian Nilotes of Southern Sudan. This led to the Second Sudanese Civil War in 1983. Because of continuing political and military struggles, Sudan was seized in a bloodless coup d'état by colonel Omar al-Bashir in 1989, who thereafter proclaimed himself President of Sudan. The civil war ended with the signing of a Comprehensive Peace Agreement which granted autonomy to what was then the southern region of the country. Following a referendum held in January 2011, South Sudan seceded on 9 July 2011 with the consent of Sudan's President al-Bashir.
wow wow wo yo Sudan - Sudan, Sudan, Sudan, Sudan, Sudan x4
We be on to the United Nations
There are nothing but a front
Claim they've been observing so long
Many moons and months
Why you never see de suffering nation
Tell I, tell I
Who will help our people in starvation
Hail Sudan, going through our struggle
Like how you help those who fight that that armed struggle
Hail Sudan, not for personal benefit
Oh help Sudan, even thou she's not rich
wow wow wo yo Sudan - Sudan, Sudan, Sudan, Sudan, Sudan x4
Give har likkle peace
Prosperity gradually come
An end to war
They have put down their guns
Children die for cost
They know not about
And this is not word a mouth
Oh Sudan, we see your plight
Downwind there is a comin',
A rumble in the sand.
Sets our feet to running,
For the fear of the faceless man.
For the fear of the faceless man.
But if I had an arsenal and if it was ten feet tall,
Then I would put an end to it all.
And if I had wheat to burn,
And if I had a lot to learn,
Then it still would not matter what color you were.
And if I had but one wish on which to stand,
I'd wish the weapons all turn to sand.
I'd see the gunners watch their empty hands,
Fall down to their sides.
Downwind they come up lonely,
All hungry for the kill.
The horses do the pounding,
But it's a blood that's going to spill.
It's a dark blood that's going to spill.
But if I had an arsenal and if it was ten feet tall,
Then it wouldn't matter what color you were.
And if I had but one wish on which to stand,
I'd see the weapons all turn to sand.
I'd see the gunners watch their empty hands,
Fall down to their sides.
If I had but one wish on which to stand,
I'd have the weapons all leave Sudan.
I'd see the gunners wash their empty hands,
Down by the riverside.
Ghost town in my homeland,
I will come back again.
And if you make a ghost of me,
I will still be free.
Ghost town in my homeland,
I will come back again.
If you make a ghost out of me,
I will still be free.
If I had but one wish on which to stand,
I'd see the weapons all leave this land.
I'd see the gunners watch their empty hands,
Fall down to their sides.
If I had but one wish on which to stand,
I'd see the weapons all leave Sudan.
I'd see the gunners wash their empty hands,
Down by the riverside.
Down by the riverside.
...Vanished in fury of smoke. Before she left she spoke about a problem and a plan. She said "I plan to make my escape, gonna check out the United States. Can't take this island wasteland. How can I be who I want when they know me as who I am? Besides, people work their whole lives hoping to get here. I figure they could use the room. A great place to get rich, have kids and die. I probably won't be coming back so soon. How can I be who I want if I stay here with you? So goodnight, Dark Island. It's the weight of life spent peeking out from beneath the trees...the way the front lawns wander on endlessly. And it's not a bad life. Working 9-5, weekend gardening and cheating on your wife. But if you find yourself broken in the slow mercury of days, and have the courage for the traffic, I know a secret to escape: just be who it is they want. It's easy to find your way. I can't help feeling like there's never enough friends or any friendly faces, just a bunch of clever ways to say "Jesus Saves'"
