Once again onboard Aer Lingus flight EI585 from Malaga in southern Spain up to Dublin, on Thursday 23rd October 2014. I'd flown on this exact flight last year for my first flight with Aer Lingus and enjoyed it and it proved a very popular video onboard one of their largest aircraft the A330-300, so I thought I'd do it again. This flight was once again booked to be an A330-300 so I'd chosen the perfect seat to give me the perfect engine view just like last time. However when I arrived at the gate I noticed immediately that the aircraft was an A330-200 not a 300! Which meant the seat I had originally chosen, 10K doesn't even exist on an A330-200! In fact all of row 10 doesn't exist. So inevitably I was moved, much to my disappointment to a seat behind the wing. But on the bright side still had a window, even if it was scratched and dirty. I tried my best to see if I could be moved, I asked several members of crew, who in their defence were very helpful and tried their up most to locate me a seat near the front, however the aircraft was full, so no joy. Some very nice views straight after take off and during the final approach. Fairly gusty day in Dublin, gusts over 40mph! You can see at a few points the aircraft battling the wind as we make our way in. Unfortunately (fortunately for some maybe) it wasn't really a crosswind as opposed to it being quite head on, so there wasn't too much struggle with the approach. Cruising Alt: 40,000ft (FL400) Departure Runway: RWY13 Arrival Runway: RWY10 Route: AGP-DUB The A330 is used on the route every day ALL summer! From May until the end of October.
