There are some lines you should never cross
Javier Salazar: Do nothing... If you want it shut down the fundamental flaw system... all you gotta do is step out of it's way... and it'll shut itself down. Nature has a way of correcting itself.
Javier Salazar: The Americans, they are very smart, but sometimes they can be incredibly stupid. They spend all this money, time and energy on so called war on terror. They put satellites up in space. They can ram a smart-bomb up a camel's ass... from a situation 5 thousand miles away.and every time the U.S kills an Al Qaeda leader, what happens? There's a new one before the body is cold. They do it a million times, and never get it... Because the real solution, always eludes them.

Studio version of the song Wax and Wire by Loch Lomond from the album Night Bats. Copyright Loch Lomond http://itunes.apple.com/us/album/night-bats/id338020448.
The Wire remains the most highly-regarded and compelling urban drama of our time. Through complex characters and story lines, The Wire has defined and created our collective understanding of how multiple systems (drug economy; criminal justice; education; media; politics) ensnare our youth and limit opportunities for achievement in spite of our best efforts to save them; or the best intentions of all the individuals that surround them. As The Wire came to a close, we elected the first black President. And yet amidst the fragile state of our economy and fractured partisan politics, we are seeing alarming levels of poverty and unemployment among the African American community. Black unemployment is virtually twice that of white unemployment. Underemployment is 3 times as high. Black youth unemployment is at 46%. So called "Wire communities" still abound. But how can we reverse course and reach back into the forgotten neighborhoods like those in The Wire to build a better future together? Despite our differences, can we find common ground that allows us to once again create opportunity for those who need it most? How do we turn these failing communities into viable ones that instead of dragging on our economy and society, improve it?
Got the idea for this wire from Quinton Alltop check out his instagram @vapehippy The basic concept for this wire is 4 strands of smaller gauge round wire twisted in one direction and then reverse twisting that with a piece of flat ribbon wire This coil works better with smaller gauges of wire. If you use larger than 30g I've noticed the outer diameter of the coil is too far away from the wick, and heats up a bit too much adding harshness to the vape. Hope you guys/gals enjoy this one.

Edgar-winner Coben's 10th Myron Bolitar novel (after Long Lost) is a perfect 10: providing readers with new information about the past of the former athlete turned agent and owner of MB Reps; a satisfyingly complex mystery; and the always entertaining, sometimes shocking exploits of Bolitar's partner and friend, Windsor Horne Lockwood III (aka Win). Suzze Tervantino, a former tennis prodigy and one of Bolitar's first clients, visits his New York office and shows him a Facebook posting that suggests that her husband, rock star Lex Ryder, isn't the father of the child she's carrying. When Ryder, also a client of MB Reps, disappears, Suzze begs Bolitar to find him. In the process, Bolitar catches a glimpse of his sister-in-law, Kitty, at a crowded nightclub, and begins a search for her and his estranged younger brother, Brad, whom he hasn't seen for 16 years. This explosively fast thriller will leave fans clamoring for more.

WPXI 2015-03-21A wire is a single, usually cylindrical, flexible strand or rod of metal. Wires are used to bear mechanical loads and to carry electricity and telecommunications signals. Wire is commonly formed by drawing the metal through a hole in a die or draw plate. Standard sizes are determined by various wire gauges. The term wire is also used more loosely to refer to a bundle of such strands, as in 'multistranded wire', which is more correctly termed a wire rope in mechanics, or a cable in electricity.
Although usually circular in cross-section, wire can be made in square or flattened rectangular cross-section, either for decorative purposes, or for technical purposes such as high-efficiency voice coils in loudspeakers. Edge-woundcoil springs, such as the "Slinky" toy, are made of special flattened wire.
In antiquity, jewelry often contains, in the form of chains and applied decoration, large amounts of wire that is accurately made and which must have been produced by some efficient, if not technically advanced, means. In some cases, strips cut from metal sheet were made into wire by pulling them through perforations in stone beads. This causes the strips to fold round on themselves to form thin tubes. This strip drawing technique was in use in Egypt by the 2nd Dynasty. From the middle of the 2nd millennium BC most of the gold wires in jewellery are characterised by seam lines that follow a spiral path along the wire. Such twisted strips can be converted into solid round wires by rolling them between flat surfaces or the strip wire drawing method. The strip twist wire manufacturing method was superseded by drawing in the ancient Old World sometime between about the 8th and 10th centuries AD. There is some evidence for the use of drawing further East prior to this period.
Leonard Norman Cohen, CC GOQ (born 21 September 1934) is a Canadian singer-songwriter, musician, poet, and novelist. His work often explores religion, isolation, sexuality, and interpersonal relationships. Cohen has been inducted into the American Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and both the Canadian Music Hall of Fame and the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame. He is also a Companion of the Order of Canada, the nation's highest civilian honour.
While giving the speech at Cohen's induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on 10 March 2008, Lou Reed described Cohen as belonging to the "highest and most influential echelon of songwriters."
Cohen was born on 21 September 1934 in Westmount, Montreal, Quebec, into a middle-class Jewish family. He attended Roslyn Elementary School. His mother, Marsha Klinitsky, of Lithuanian Jewish ancestry, emigrated from Lithuania while his great-grandfather emigrated from Poland. He grew up in Westmount on the Island of Montreal. His grandfather was Lyon Cohen, founding president of the Canadian Jewish Congress. His father, Nathan Cohen, who owned a substantial Montreal clothing store, died when Cohen was nine years old. On the topic of being a Kohen, Cohen has said that, "I had a very Messianic childhood." He told Richard Goldstein in 1967. "I was told I was a descendant of Aaron, the high priest." Cohen attended Westmount High School, beginning in 1948 where he was involved with the Student Council and studied music and poetry. He became especially interested in the poetry of Federico Garcia Lorca. As a teenager, he learned to play the guitar, and formed a country-folk group called the Buckskin Boys. Although he initially played a regular acoustic guitar as a teenager, he soon switched to playing a classical guitar after meeting a young Spanish flamenco guitar player who taught him "a few chords and some flamenco."
We have heard the songs of angels
We have tasted flames from hell
We have seen the fallen hero
We have heard the ringing bell
And it all seems cleaner in the rain
Now it all begins to look the same
We have come into this lifetime
With only a few things on our side
Although we are only mortal men
The choice to change is yours and mine
And it all seems cleaner in the rain
And it all begins to look the same
Now the laughter turns to tears
Now the seconds seem like years
Oh but I'm still holding on
Driving through the tears
Only one world we've been given
Earth - wind - sea - air
We're burning holes into the morning sky
And we have learned not to care
And it all seems cleaner in the rain
And it all begins to look the same
Now the laughter turns to tears
Now the minutes seem like years
But I'm still holding on
Driving through the tears
(solo)
And it all seems cleaner in the rain
And it all begins to look the same
Now the laughter turns to tears
Now the days seem like years
I hear the gods begin to cheer
As we watch our sky disappear
This is my Exodus
This is my Wire
Send it to those who care
Innocent, and in a sense I am
Guilty of the crime that's now in hand
Such a nice day
Throw your life away
Such a nice day
Let it go
Cold these eyes, I can't believe it
Cold, this heart is slow
Heart is slow
Call me
Such a cold heart
Such a cold man
Watch you tear your self apart
So lay me down
My soul to give
So lay me down
The longest sleep
Oh, the longest sleep
In I come and out you go you get
Here we are again now, place your bets
Is this the time
The time to win or lose
Is this the time
The time to choose
Cold these eyes, I can't believe it
So deep inside a cold fire
Cold, this heart is slow...
Anytime you're only a kiss away
Won't you do it now
That's right, just keep me going
In some white track
You come the right track
Cartoon cutout
Cut throat bled out
I'm on your side
Be on the both side
I'm alright Jack
You get off my back
I'm no dope
I give you hope
Here's the rope
Here's the rope

Once a question of degree
Now circumstances corner me
Demanding my attention
Leaving little choice
Posing several questions
Distilling in one voice
Confusion not in words
I didn't want a problem
I didn't simply fall out
I was thrown at great speed
From a passing car
I didn't touch the ground
Till I landed at your door
Oh don't touch my luggage
I can easily surel) manage
To struggle inside
I hide my shaking
Thus protect my pride
I can surely manage
To tremble inside
Gathering myself
And spreading it around
Rivers are submerging
Flowing underground
Can I really manage
To survive outside?
Can I really manage
To survive outside?
Can I?
Can I?
Can I?
Can I?

Observe the poker party aces

Unnerving, swerving shifty places
Where little works or convinces
Follow me! No explanation
The future sold, the Chancellor paces
The growing pains, associated
With a past which no-one faces
They clip their speech
They clip your wings
The absent tribe
Of missing links
The absolute
Of vodka kings
The over crowded
Nature of things
Living on a wire, the sight of you could save my skin
And the sun is in my eyes, and the breeze lifts the hair from my neck
So precariously I am inching my way across my life
I could fall if you don't call
a sick safety net appears when I'm with you
Oh, I climb, so high waiting to fall
And then I cry, like a child, on a neverending ride
How does it go down, when you're the biggest kid in your own playground
And how do you see me, how do I fit in your hierarchy?
Oh you tell the girls line up in single file, just gotta rearrange my denial
So I can play with you, and now I see, all the shit that isn't me
I'm too relieved to be mad, relieved and sad
I misplaced my mind, thought it was lost
But now I find, you were just very, very unkind
You know I always found, that my feet were dangling looking for solid ground
Is it maybe worth closing down the Ivory Tower
And coming back down to earth?

I catch the word, don't refrain
Oh no it's not the same
In two halves but quickly growing whole
It's not the past again
In double figures for the first time
Oh no it's not the same
There may be a story to be told
But it's not the past again
It's time to get out now
Everybody loves the mystery
Everybody loves their history
It's not my problem now
Everybody loves the mystery
Everybody loves their history
Implications, back and up
Oh no it's not the same
In twp parts and waiting to be told
That it's not the past again
In time and sequence, paraphrased
Oh no it's not the same
In two halves but quickly growing whole
Turning red
Adopting styles that seem inbred
We're made of lead
Stay on the pace
Recoup the loot, avoid, disgrace
Sink without trace
It's a hoot
Run ahead and blindly shoot
Hit the marker, end dispute
Marking time
Laying boundaries out in lime
A life of crime
Drift away
Never find the urge to play
We're made of clay
It's a hoot
Hit the marker, end dispute
Even if that point is moot
It's a hoot
Even if that point is moot
Run ahead and blindly shoot
Phasing in
Wondering when it's time to begin
The chances thin
Emptied out
No doubt it will end in a rout
We lack the clout
It's a hoot
Run ahead and blindly shoot
Hit the marker, end dispute
Even if that point is moot
I remember what he said:
"We are all like spuds and bread!"
Crash at random, road-kill rage
Tarmac trauma auto slain!
I remember what he claimed:
"Shadowed blood and spit remains!"
Fur and guts and stone chip stain
Broken bones on the inner lane
I remember what he said:
"Count to ten when you see red!"
Plus plus ultra uber rage
Plus plus ultra uber rage
Behold the woods of yesterday
Just beyond the motorway
Saw a stag walking away
A grand mute proof at Nemrt Dag
That man's as mad as a hatter
How does it feel when it's revealed?
You've reached the living end
Master cut the stone out
My name is Lubert Das
Abandoned now as the grass grows out
Of the head and groin of the dome
How does it feel with one turn of the wheel?
You reach the living end
Master cut the stone out
My name is Lubert Das

Fish ponds and a madman's honey
How does it feel, is it hard to conceal?

There's something strange going on tonight
There's something going on that's not quite right
Joey's nervous and the lights are bright
There's something going on that's not quite right
There's something going down that wasn't here before
Keep your eyes glued to the floor
No one's gonna save your life
Something strange going on tonight
There's something going on that wasn't here before
Keep your eyes glued to the floor
No one's gonna save your life
Something strange going on tonight
There's something strange going on tonight
There's something going on that's not quite right
Joey's nervous and the lights are bright
You're the wizard of was, becalmed in because
The nawab of no, with no place to go
A grandmaster crashed, whose future has past
The wazir of fear, now: Seer of the year
Used up and broken, fucked up, bespoken
The wear and the tear are easy to behold
Where once was a diamond, now hides a sly man
A corpse of corruption, in rancid decay
Archduke of rebuke, the pharaoh of fluke
The Lear of sneer, once pick of his peers
Charming and hazy, the Llama of lazy
You sit on your hands, 'til the trouble has passed
Eyes that impressed, now idly, undress
Trust once shared, is beyond repair
Pledges sound hollow, which promised tomorrows
They float to the floor, forming lakes of dead skin
A new broom is coming, I hear it close, humming
Find yourself in opposition
Rid yourself of superstitions
Deploy a mask, get night time vision
Safety off, get in position
A mother's guilt, a daughter's pain
The father failed to take the blame
The search is on, in southern seas
To find the healing, red barked trees
A day of pain, of push and shove
A hidden strength in velvet gloves
Sky writing planes sketch oaths above
In graphic loops an act of love
Traders rampage, on the loose
Dealers howl and hurl abuse
The market growls it eats the weak
Buys children farms in busy streets
A privileged few, a charmed elite
Can slash and burn as they retreat
The search is on, in southern seas
No switch in this dark but you search anyway
This is the night, here in the day
One thing remains perfectly clear
It's the buzz buzz buzz in the drum of the ear
Zee zee zee, zum zum
Buzz buzz, buzz buzz in the eardrum
Zee zee zee, zum zum
Buzz buzz, buzz buzz in the eardrum
Now you live in the world of the wave
And you scratch your name on the walls of the cave
Instincts never leave you perfectly clear
There's always a buzz buzz buzz in the drum of the ear
Zee zee zee, zum zum
Buzz buzz, buzz buzz in the eardrum
Zee zee zee, zum zum
Buzz buzz, buzz buzz in the eardrum
Marco Polo has lost his way
The Louisville Lip has nothing to say
One thing remains perfectly clear
The buzz buzz buzz in the drum of the ear
Zee zee zee, zum zum
Buzz buzz, buzz buzz in the eardrum
Zee zee zee, zum zum
Buzz buzz, buzz buzz in the eardrum
The buzz buzz, the buzz buzz in the eardrum
Buzz buzz
The buzz buzz, the buzz buzz in the eardrum
Custard Jack has lost his Mac
Captain Flash won't give it back
It seemed to them both perfectly clear
The buzz buzz buzz in the drum of the ear
Zee zee zee, zum zum
Buzz buzz, buzz buzz in the eardrum
Zee zee zee, zum zum
Buzz buzz, buzz buzz in the eardrum
Buffalo Bill, deprived of will
Chasing a hamburger down the hill
It seemed to him perfectly clear
The buzz buzz buzz in the drum of the ear
Zee zee zee, zum zum
Buzz buzz, buzz buzz in the eardrum
Zee zee zee, zum zum
Buzz buzz, buzz buzz in the eardrum
Adolf turned out very nice
Hannibal is afraid of mice
One thing remains perfectly clear
It's the buzz buzz buzz in the drum of the ear
Zee zee zee, zum zum
Buzz buzz, buzz buzz in the eardrum
Zee zee zee, zum zum
Buzz buzz, buzz buzz in the eardrum
The buzz buzz, the buzz buzz in the eardrums
Buzz buzz
The buzz buzz, the buzz buzz in the eardrum
You're a waste of space
No natural grace
You're so bloody thin
You don't even begin
To intrest me
Not even curiousity
It's not animosity
It's just you don't interest me
You're an energy void
A black hole to avoid
No style, no heart
You don't even start
To interest me
Not even curiousity
It's not animosity
So truly jolly, an Xmas dolly
I talk on request, I'm never depressed
I'll wink a good time till someone pokes me
One big blue eye out
So simply heady, a birthday teddy
Punches make me bleat, this bare soul is sweet
Keeping you warm at night till someone rubs me
Hey, a fun-filled toy
Free on a tightrope lives the animal soap
Safe, used, been tested, body molester
Amphibious charm, scum in several baths
Has blurred my features
Would you like to say
What that silence was meant to intend?
Would you like to see
What violence these eyes can send
To your heart
I've found something
No one else is looking for
I've found something
That there's no use for
And what's more
I'm keeping it to myself
I'm leaning over backwards
Shoulders pressed to the floor
I'm leaning over backwards
Shoulders pressed to the door
Two falls or one submission
Or a single K.O.
Two falls or one submission
Or a single K.O.
But what's one submission
The island monkeys love the dark
No one is home, they're thin skinned sharks
Hue exchanging gives sea-leg walks
No one is home, the chemicals talk
Load up the spoiled goods
Hook up the spoiled gods
Fill up the kindness cups
Drink up the finest drops
Feeding frenzy, sleepless attacks
No one is home, power attracts
Death on a raft, life in a whale
No one is home to finish the tale
Paint it red, light it in blue
No one is home over at the zoo
Lashing together, a timbre design
No one is home, no one is blind
The last boat launched, cling to the rail
No one is home, they're in full sail
Forging chains, caught on the tracks
No one is home and they're not coming back
The island monkeys love the dark
No one is home, they've gone for a walk
The island monkeys love the dark
No one is home, the chemicals talk
Oh you should miss her, she says she's my sister
She's never hard to find
She's tender-trusting, she's everlasting
Can I change my mind?
Is it too late to change my mind?
Mirror, mirror, icy sister
Love is never blind
She's slowly turning, mouth gently burning
Can I change my mind?
She pisses icy water on poetic mornings
Got to be cruel to be kind
Is this real life, is it for life?
Start to move
Time at hand
Bird in hand
No bush but trees thicken
Which now, rooster or chicken?
Leave the past
Feel the wrench
Smell the stench
Was good, but flesh soon rots
Emotions, we all got spots
Please believe me I still do care
Well I wonder what's going on
Same old stuff suppopse
Not quite right that
The stuff's the same
But it's different to me
Seems like the cancer in the city
Has got to be terminal
I haven't got it through
Incidentally where are you?
Thought you lived here
The bright lights have got you
I'd rather be a sprat than a mackerel
You can slip through the net
It's set
Would he say, "yeah"?
Would he say, "no"?
What would he say?
What would he say?
Give them the chance
Give them the chance
What do you like?
What do you love?
Where did he go?
What did he do?
[What have you done?]
Replaying accidents
Deploying precedents
Before the trial by fire
The evidential weight
The lens that can't create
The signal stretched on wire
Before you know it's
Taken hold it's coming down to this again
Before we know we're
Running scared it's coming down to this again
Fragmented symmetry
A tarnished history
A haunted youth in fear
No guiding principle
Coded invincible
No heaven far from here
Before you know it's
Taken hold it's coming down to this again
Before we know we're
Running scared it's coming down to this again
All I know is, time will waste us all
Time will fade us all from sight
In between clouds, spirit moves us on
Closing doors
Opens eyes
To the fatal gift
Of a well timed lie
Loved in the flesh
And (but) butchered in the mind
Oh what a pearl
What a well made world
Holy globe
Eternal home
Sacred sphere
So glad I'm here
Oh what a pearl
A dorsal fin breaks the water
Salted meat a sudden relapse
Inference drawn from every word
Being sucked in again
Feeling numbed from anaesthetised flesh
Avoid disgrace, ideas still fresh
The gaping mouth, a fish-wive's dream
Bound and gagged your labour's saved
The cost minute, the rules are waved
It's true darling, I'll walk you home
I'll be your date forever
I love you girl, I love you
Until they split the atom
So many times, there's nothing left
There's nothing left at all
I know I'm right, cause when you're gone
There's nothing left at all
Gifts of the west winds
Dark and deep
In secret sunset
Places creep
Lock up your hats
Lock up your hats
Progress with a vision
To practice with at home
A schism with an ism
To practice with at home
A collision with decision
To practice with at home
He transfered his soul
To his imagination
His atoms were excited
And he glowed in the dark
The boiling boy
Was a picture of confusion
But he had the advantage
With colour in your life there's a reason to explode
To set the world on fire
To skid and leave the road
In a black and white life there's a column of smoke
You don't burst into flame, you stop
When you're broke
In vitrio in vivo
The revolution's begun
In vitrio in vivo
In a star-filled world the full moon crosses the sun
Four minutes up
Two million's gone
And bang: he invades
The son of a gun, the son
Of a gun
The chemical defeater saved the elephant's life
A wild type junk genie
With a car-bra heaven wide
And bang, he invades
The son of a gun, the son
Reviewed, it seemed
As if someone were watching over it
Before it was
As if response were based on fact
Providing, deciding, it was soon there
Squared to it, faced to it, it was not there
Renewed, it fought
As if it had a cause to live for
Denied, it learned
As if it had sooner been destroyed
Providing, deciding, it was soon there
Squared to it, faced to it, it was not there
Reviewed, it fought
As if someone were watching over it
Before it had sooner been denied
Renewed, it seemed
As if it had a cause to live for
The race of champions, the pace the pace
The speed the need, the need to seed
The chance to die
Another dead don't cry, another dead don't cry
You've still got speed, you'll maybe bleed
But that's next time
Less time than before, more speed than before
You're rich not poor, what are you doing it for?
Want more want more
Another dead don't cry, another dead don't cry
Indeed it's speed, to feed from speed
I catch the word, don't refrain
Oh no it's not the same
In two halves but quickly growing whole
It's not the past again
In double figures for the first time
Oh no it's not the same
There may be a story to be told
But it's not the past again
It's time to get out now
Everybody loves the mystery
Everybody loves their history
It's not my problem now
Everybody loves the mystery
Everybody loves their history
Implications, back and up
Oh no it's not the same
In twp parts and waiting to be told
That it's not the past again
In time and sequence, paraphrased
Oh no it's not the same
In two halves but quickly growing whole
Mist closing in, getting thicker
One drops out, becoming quicker
Lights grow dim, they glimmer
The chances smaller, the odds are slimmer
Dot dash, dip flash, don't crash
Loosening my grip
Be sure to tread carefully
Steering a passage
Finding a line
Cross to comply, crossply
Progressive acceleration, skidding but the expression
Remains pan, radiators for all
Radial, I'm still in control, I understand, a hand, a hand moved me
Driven by self-propulsion
Turning right across the stream
The risks increased with sustained leisure
Courting death, so ill at...
There's great danger
For the lonliest ranger of all
No silver bullets
Tonto's split the scene
Next week will solve your problems
But now, fish fingers all in a line
The milk bottles stand empty
Stay glued to your T. V. set
There's great danger
At hand most caped crusader of all
No cloak of justice
If you had a room, he'd paint it white,
survives the day, prefers the night,
build sight.
Got a head for figures,
no time for bickers,
(or so he says,)
prefers the company of a woman.
Finds it more physical,
(that's an important word,)
always seen first then heard,
such a rare bird.
With praise he glows,
with change he grows,
finds that important,
hates waiting, it's not stimulating,
likes celebrating,
I can't understand why that is so funny,
In this public place
Pigeons move busily
Through the contents
Of a man's life
In this public place
His last mortal remains
Reflect a private lake
In this public place
Lies fly in formation
Candid fiction spreads its wings
It's deceptive at this angle
Does truth dance?
Does truth sing?
The private hedge pissers
In anxious alleys
The village boy-wide-men
With a game on their hands
Wait for the sign
That will take them to Heaven
Wait for the sign
Only they understand
In this public place
A carved tree
Burst through an atheist's heart
And broken promises
Drifted into the shape of footprints
In this public place
Lies fly in-formation
Passed to hand, behind the curtain
The letter brings change, now things are uncertain
Hand to hand, the letter moves on
Like a series of shocks, but the contents are known
Oh faint heart, when the letter arrives
You suddenly find things getting lifesize
Once the air rang with things unsaid
Now cruel outlines are easily read
Behind the curtain in the yellow bulb light
Think of a number,
divide it by two,
something is nothing,
nothing is nothing.
Open a box,
tear off the lid,
then think of a number,
don't think of an answer.
Open your eyes,
think of a number,
don't get swept under,
a number's a number
A chance encounter you want to avoid,
the inevitable, so you do, oh yes you do the impossible
Now you ain't got a number,
you just want to rhumba,
and there ain't no way you're gonna go under
Go under Go Under
You tear me asunder
Go under Go Under
An unwilling sailor adrift from Artic waters
As the water gets warmer, my iceburg gets smaller
As he pours more petrol on, he feels no fear
As the flames get nearer, its thought gets clearer
A blue-white polar bear arrives at the end
Diverting his attention, his feelings froze over
I'm only a runaway AWOL at the logical start
Not present in the present, overboard with limited future
And I'm standing alone still getting a thrill
The time is too short
but never too long
to reach ahead,
to project the image,
which will in time become a concrete dream.
Another cigarette,
another day,
from A to B,
again avoiding C, D, and E,
'cause E is where you play the blues.
Avoiding a death
is to win the game,
to avoid relegation,
the big E.
Drowning in the big swim,
rising to the surface
The smell of you
Practice makes perfect, yes I can prove it
Business or pleasure, the more that you do it
Please dress in your best things, this course was unplanned
'Cause you see up in my bedroom I've got Sarah Bernhardt's hand
Practice makes perfect, I've done this before
Never for money, always for love
Please dress in your best things, and don't make a fuss
Doubting Thomas parks his car in his Sunday best
Taps his wallet, straightens tie, lights a cigarette
Pilgrim's progress, no journey's end
Which way Michael?
Through the door he scans the bar, then a space appears
His drink is poured, for he is numb, the service it starts here
He sees it in the barmaid's face, a winning smile's caress
A million eyes in public stalk, the queue up to confess
Lost causes, loves, hates and shames, old battles fought and won
Bad debts, bad tips, the graveyard song, the dreamers talk in tongues
Haloes swarm, the air is thin, thick smoke in tights of blue
Elvis has a wooden heart, eyes dart across the room
Empty heads and stomachs full, the ashtrays overflow
Drinks are raised and voices praise good deeds of long ago
He drains his glass and makes a sign, the Virgin Queen appears
The Prince King needs a tender touch, his sacred heart knows no fear
Upon a cloud on optic shrine, he can't control his tears
On his knees, hands held in prayer, a practice lapsed for years
The altar clears, the light grows dim, the sanctus bell is rung
A miracle at closing time, our lady holds her son
The faithful come to celebrate the vision Thomas saw
A rail now stands around the spot where Thomas kissed the floor
You have nothing to fear
I'm just making enquiries
Dog bone hunting
Gives you back to yourself
Standing before me
The gargoyle turns
Jutting jaws and
The stubble burns
I shift the blame
To the worm in the bottle
I shift the blame
To anyone standing before me
I check-up the once over
Give yourself an opening
Keep your mouth shut
In the event of an accident
Contact the following
A certain air
An invading smile
Inbreeding seals the flaw
Silk skin paws
Hang by both feet
Embracing the world
Hang the expense
Breuel's cut corners
Wring out the senses
I have nothing like it
I've got sand in my joints
I'm counting the grains
And they're so sharp
I'm feeling the pain
I'm like King Canute's daughter
A lamb to the slaughter
My feet in the water
It's not what they think
I'm tired of being told what to think
I'm tired of being told what to do
I'm tired of fucking phonies
That's right, I'm tired of you
No, no, no, no, no, no, Mr. Suit
You can take your fucking money and shove it up your arse
'Cause you think you understand, well it's a fucking farce
I'm tired of fucking phonies
That's right, I'm tired of you
And if you turn and walk out that door
And take your fucking money, let me tell you what it's for
I'm tired of fucking phonies
Sailing under a false flag
We're crossing the IDL
Becalmed where no creature lives
Lost, forsaken, cursed
Holed below the water line
A shift in the plimsoll line
Pumps in the engine room
Women and children first
Hysterical, no humour
Sabotage, a rumour
Captain-less and captionless
Injury, hunger, thirst
Something snapped, over and over
Something snapped, over the horizon
Something burst, over and over
Something burst, just out of sight
Like a rope on the border, over and over
Like a damn on the boundary, just out of sight
Over and over, just below the skyline
Over and over, just out of sight
Something broke, over and over
Something broke, over the way
Something dropped, over and over
Something dropped, just out of sight
Over and over, just below the skyline
Over and over, just out of sight
Over and over, under the skyline
You'll be sorry when the sun has roasted you to
Lobster red, nothing said
When yellow has turned green to brown, divide by four
Multiply by nine, describe your divisions, anatomical derision
Lobster head and lobster feet
On arriving with a third language
Tucked into your brief case, next to your toothbrush
Along with a copy of the Nouvelle Observateure
While your sons and daughters who registered naught
Under intensive electronic scanning
You regard your body with regard to events
With which nothing planned
Never lacked a sense of theatre
On returning with the tab you've gained
A head of world service, the best of your culture
He took his seat on the foreign train
He thought it pleasant to travel again
Mindful of the journey's end
He read again the letter from his friend
Time passed as it often does
The seat was hard, the carriage fetid
He was dressed for summer, but still he sweated
It was better than being home
Feeling the cold, and living alone
Time passed slowly
Around him people spoke in French
Despite schooldays it made no sense
Occasional stares caught his eye
He was tempted to smile, but
Being shy, time passed
When he looked through the window
For the thousandth time
He saw a black horse fighting for its life
In a barbed wire fence
Fatally tangled
The more it struggled
The more it was strangled
Time sped up
He turned away
There was nothing he could do
The other window
Had a nicer view
Painted statues in underground streams
With invitations to the Pharoah's dream
They stare at themselves, there's a need to be seen
Walking mirrors in the Pharoah's harem
And here they come
The queen of Ur
And the king of Um
Tainted Matthews in car-key relations
Gilt invitations to the blue queen's ball
They stare at themselves, there's a need to be seen
Talking pillars in the blue queen's hall
Fading tatoos of empty stations
Great expectations at Vince's loyal mince
They stare at each other, there's a need to be seen
Crack-head mirrors, licking the soiled mint
Olympic statues from terminal stations
Sifting invitations to the market floor
Steering into the future, it pays to be seen
Polishing mirrors, keeping the score
A babbling gaggle, a scrabbling rabble
Fighting invitations to the emporor's shilling
They stare through themselves, there's nothing to see
Chain link route ways
Digital time base
New hours for these days
New files engaged
Strangeness detectors
Collage charmers
Magnetic behavior
Quarks and order

Our own correspondant is sorry to tell
Of an uneasy time that all is not well
On the borders there's movement
In the hills there is trouble
Food is short, crime is double
Prices have risen since the government fell
Casualties increase as the enemy shell
The climate's unhealthy, flies and rats thrive
And sooner or later the end will arrive
This is your correspondant, running out of tape
My mind is unwilling and your flesh is so weak,
do my movements betray the secrets I think,
I always stand by walls and try to humour fools.
Am I moving in a straight line?
Oh it's unlust and the one dimensional boy,
oh it's unlust and the one dimensional boy,
oh it's unlust and the one dimensional boy,

Is that a paper I see in your hand?
Then a pause for a German phrase
"Nie weider nie weider, nie weider nie weider"
Never again, none of your lip
Y'tulip, Y'tulip, y'pea brained earwig
Y'punk, y'silver tongued shnake
I'd rather make furniture than go to midnight mass

He's a genius in research, I simply fell in love, I've got your ZIP code?
Over there U.S.A., green turbaned angels annex the right bank
Baby, in a shambolic sideshow they abandoned the baby
The baby trained, baby returns, baby kills Mary and Joseph
Talk about laughing, I might have defeated cancer or so they say
Electrocuted, I was transformed into a foot soldier of the good general
Passionate for knights in the heart of ancient Persia
Fearless to go forth, fearless to adapt then blow to pieces
Please send your god my very best wishes
Does he still sing? Does he still fish?
Does he still help you on your days off?
Don't stopping that dripping, I prefer the old tortures
It's only when you stop that I feel it
When you lose the ship, it's like losing a part of you
I have a sense of my exposure, it's all on the neg.
I try to use 2 instead of 3, ah, but I have secrets
And there's a story in me, it starts
Dot, dot, dot, dot, dot, dot
Please take your knife out of my back,
And when you do, please don’t twist it.
I felt the stab in my blindside,
The poisoned blade to paralyze,
The cost of cash and energy to advertise no longer think,
So, please take your knife out of my back,
And when you do, please don’t twist it.
Fuck off out of my face.
You take up too much space.
Move! You’re blocking my view.
I’ve seen far too much of you.
So, …
Please take your knife out of my back,
And when you do, please don’t twist it.
I won’t hear another word or another sugared lie.
I won’t be a part of your latest alibi.
So, please take your knife out of my back,
And when you do, please don’t twist it.
Fuck off out of my face.
You take up too much space.
Move! You’re blocking my view.
I’ve seen far too much of you.
So, …
Please take your knife out of my back.
Fuck off out of my face.
You take up too much space.
Move! You’re blocking my view.
I’ve seen far too much of you.
So.
I never know which version I'm going to be
I seem to have so many choices open to me
It's not hard to see another unique event
When you miss the beginning and you miss the end
I've got forty versions all dying to get the part
And so with a change of mind comes a change of heart
A total eclipse arrives now and Niagara Falls
No loss of blood yet and no further calls
I never know which version I'm going to be
I get the feeling my mind is deceiving me
Just what I need
Shoot on Sight
Leaking while you vote, four days left
A dirty cartoon duck covers a village in shit
Possibly signalling the end of Western civilisation
As if I give a fuck
Evidently side tracked
Positively indisposed
Elevated by restitution
And do you know what?
Coffee is not a replacement for food or happiness
The umbilical twangs
In f and ecstasy
In the ring, on the cut in 5 minutes
Just what I need
Deputise
Wear your star with pride
Shoot on sight
Compose questions later
Religious Vomit.
Opera in the age of fragmentation
Much Later
Lips growing for service
Eyes steady for peeling
Bring on the special guest
A monkey caught stealing
Standard rewards in corners
Is full-board in new quarters
Kneeling for pleasure
Ensures a good time
I remember, I remember
Making the body search
I remember, I remember
Making the body search
Someone is taking you
Someone has taken me
TV doesn't understand
A word that matters
Scattering desires to
Smouldering fires
Someone has taken you
Someone is taking me
I remember, I remember
Making the body search
I remember, I remember
Making the body search
I remember
Making the body search
That is was nothing
But enough for ahead
I remember
Making the body search
That is was nothing
Are you level? How's your trim?
Do you rotate, eddy, or spin?
Are you game? What's your trick?
Do you vibrate, bounce, or tick?
What's your cut? Are you correct?
Do you detour, bend, or stretch?
We're milling through the grinder, grinding through the mill
If this is not an exercise, could it be a drill?
How's it with you? What's your form?
Your outline, shape, or form
How's your price? What do you cost?
Your value, profit, or loss
How's your skull? Does it fit?
Is your mind free, empty, or split?
Drill drill drill

The tide is high, sandbag your street!
Converging, swelling channels meet
The torrent roars, banks are breached
Stay calm, be cool, a part at least
The brakes are on, controlled retreat
Quick-go-slowly, heart valve weak
Fairness flounders, sincere cheats
Disgraced champions, taste defeat
Beware the timely statement leak...

Evacuate your sick and poor

The pink flags was screaming
Bugle boys sucked and blew
No time for confessions, orders given
Books were cooked, on the 4th of the 3rd
How many seen or heard
On the 12th of the 3rd
I got to be for the offer of virtue
Once in and taken apart
This is the shape of interference
Please don't adjust your heart
Now touching the edges of something
Wanting to find truer response
Could I ever erase the influence?
Brushing in against what's (already) understood
Dredging shifting basing phrasing
Once in and taken to heart
I fought your red colour
I scratch your head again
Staring trying embracing gazing
I shot your silver dollar
Fill the space within your heart
He took his seat on the foreign train
He thought it pleasant to travel again
Mindful of the journey's end
He read again the letter from his friend
Time passed as it often does
The seat was hard, the carriage fetid
He was dressed for summer, but still he sweated
It was better than being home
Feeling the cold, and living alone
Time passed slowly
Around him people spoke in French
Despite schooldays it made no sense
Occasional stares caught his eye
He was tempted to smile, but
Being shy, time passed
When he looked through the window
For the thousandth time
He saw a black horse fighting for its life
In a barbed wire fence
Fatally tangled
The more it struggled
The more it was strangled
Time sped up
He turned away
There was nothing he could do
The other window
Had a nicer view
Time passed painfully
Please take your knife
Out of my back!
And, when you do
Please don't twist it!
I felt the stab in my blind side
A poisoned blade to paralyse
A cosh of cash, a net of drink
To anodise, no longer think, so
Please take your knife
Out of my back!
And when you do
Please don't twist it!
Fuck off out of my face
You take up too much space
Move! You're blocking my view
I've seen far too much of you
Please take your knife
Out of my back!
And, when you do
Please don't twist it!
I won't hear another word
Another sugared lie
I won't be a part of your
Latest alibi, so,
Please take your knife
Out of my back!
And when you do
What is this feeling called love?
What is this crazy thing I can't explain anyhow?
What is this feeling called love?
What is this crazy scene I can't work out anyhow?
Maybe I should try it now
Or maybe I should be shy of it now
'Cause there's nothing you know that can explain it
And there's nothing you know that's worth the pain of it
What is this feeling called love?
What is this thing I can't work out no how?
What is this feeling called love?
What is this thing I don't understand no how?
I wanna be a field day for the Sundays so they can fuck up my life
Embarass my wife, and leave a bad taste
That striped toothpaste can't remove on Monday mornings
I wanna be a target for the dailies so they can show
Pictures of me with a nude on page three, so lacking in taste
It's so obvious, it's here, it's there
It's not just the colour, it must be more, at least 17+3 score
This is 77, nearly heaven.
It's black, white, and pink, just think
There's more to come, hum hum hum hum, it's so obvious
Well it's alright, just listen,
can't wait for 78
God those RPM,
can't wait for them,
don't just watch, hours happen,
Natural splits sunburn jets price marks smart bets
Strikers luck pitch backs heap tips pit slacks
Dressed pints demon shrinks bread drunk dead drinks
Stretch clubs models box draw skin black shocks
Money spines paper lung kidney bingos organ fun
Flag stunt rock stone dole axe crash dive
Breathe thrift take speed double take weekends
Skull row drugs hall colour bars sex calls
Sparkle finds rented rings pretty things clipped wings
Gold street spy fleet scandal food poor treat
Fire run club gun rule mob burn some
Bomb time pop crime stock frame steady climb
Always cause for concern
When you're feeling quite bright
And your filament burns
I feel mysterious today
Everything is humming loudly
I feel mysterious today
Everything is coming this way
Is it ever appealing
To stand on a ceiling?
Observe the tension grow
Going walking abroad
Minus hat before dawn
Bats in profusion there
Did you ever conceive
That you too can leave
In an act of contrition
I lay down by your side
It's not your place to comment
On my state of distress
For this is for real
I've tears in my eyes
Am I laughing or crying?
I suggest I'm not lying
I haven't found a measure yet to
Calibrate my displeasure yet so
To ignore my warning
Could be your folly
The judgment is harsh
I offer no plea
Valuing the vengeance which you treasure
I've redefined the meaning of vendetta
The procession's disordered
You protect your possessions
In light of your actions
I question your love
May I make an observation
Your bite is worse than my aggression
I should have known better
I should have known better
Than to become a target
Albeit a target which moves
No offer of terms or concessions
For statements or confessions
You don't feel warm
I pass close by
You shiver, I whisper
Excuse me, what's your problem?
Oh, I see
I didn't understand your plea to live
Or the guy's wish to take or give
However, as backing away, he fell and lay dead amongst the fireworks display
It's not quite the way to say your goodbyes
It's not quite the way to behave
Secured you a concrete grave beneath a motoway
Gold scissors cut the ribbon
And set them loose
On the opening day the vibrations will shake your bones but that's just the disadvantage of
not speaking a second language
Crawling
Over your window you think I'm confused
I'm waiting for the divergent wasp
To complete my current ruse
You use a plate-glass screen
To protect my chosen target
But there's an air-pellet hole
I can crawl through to you
I am the fly in the ointment
I can spread more disease than the fleas
Which nibble away at your window display
Yes I am the fly in the ointment
I shake you down to say please as you
Antennaes my currency
Programme your set
My pockets are drunk
The Illinois tool works
The flight nurse attends me
I can't wait to see the doctor
Be smart shrink the world?
But I can't wait to see the doctor
Dust-off ready
Take-off
Oil a mink
Follow the locust
Write a letter, drop a card
Dia-a-gram, map a chart
Take a note, pick a snap
Choose a number, dial a code
The flight nurse attends me
But I can't wait to see the doctor
Be smart shrink the world?
But I can't wait to see the doctor
Stay on your feet
And get collected
Enjoy and explore
The gambling museum
The flight nurse attends me
But I can't wait to see the doctor
Be smart shrink the world?
Warning warning
Free-falling divisions
Re-calling re-calling
Fast past admissions
Foolish words
No nervous laughter
Safety first
Gives always after
Drag my canal
You saucy old salt
Pale in belief
I'm not without fault
Scaffolding climber
Rudolf roof-walker
Aids binocular
Clear a path Jonah
Experienced water
Water transporter
Marine slaver
I'm a little curious of you in crowded scenes
And how serene your friends and fiends
We flew and strolled as two eliminated gently
Why don't you close your eyes and reinvent me
You knew you got a heart made of stone
You should have let me know
You could have let me know
We'll go 'till morning comes
And traffic grows
And windows hum
Spending all week with your friends
Give me evenings and weekends
Evenings and weekends
I could be yours
We can unwind
All these other flaws
All these other flaws
You'd agree it's a typical high
You fly as you watch your name go by
And once the name goes by
Not thicker than water, nor thicker than mud
And the eight k thuds it does
[Incomprehensible]
Sunset so thickly
Let's make it quiet and quickly
Don't frown
Taste better on the way back down
I could be yours
We can unwind
All these other flaws
All these other flaws
All these other flaws
Will lead to mine
We are vi vicious
It's easy now, see
Stick me down
Stick me down
We can unwind
[Inaudible]
All these other flaws
All these other flaws
Will lead to mine
Will see to
All these other flaws
All these other flaws
Will see to
All these other flaws
Will lead to mine
We can unwind all our flaws
We can unwind all our flaws
See, this wasn't supposed to happen
to leave you with your thoughts,
to leave you at your wire where you bumped into more.
You're clinging to tales of ghosts,
hear them as if they're true.
Although they bring you things
that you don't want them to.
When I run out of time,
well, you freak out your mind
to go care for all the small things
I have no clue about.
I have the miles to shout at,
but both your ears go cold
and leave me at my wire.
Wish that I was told
'Cause if you leave it like this
the distance's all we've known.
Yeah if you leave it like this
the distance's all that's grown.
This wasn't supposed to happen
to not have you on my side,
to lose you on a wire
where you stay out of sight.
And with your head in your hands
I cannot read your face,
can't read between the lines that
this is a shut case
'Cause if you leave it like this
the distnace's all we've known.
Yeah if you leave it like this
the distance's all that's grown.
'Cause if you leave it like this
the distnace's all we've known.
Yeah if you leave it like this
Mist closing in, getting thicker
One drops out, becoming quicker
Lights grow dim, they glimmer
The chances smaller, the odds are slimmer
Dot dash, dip flash, don't crash
Loosening my grip
Be sure to tread carefully
Steering a passage
Finding a line
Cross to comply, crossply
Progressive acceleration, skidding but the expression
Remains pan, radiators for all
Radial, I'm still in control, I understand, a hand, a hand moved me
Driven by self-propulsion
Turning right across the stream
The risks increased with sustained leisure
Courting death, so ill at...
.ease
Quit jungle, the adventure all along
In which the specimen grows
The. flesh as we go on
Protecting your body with all the men's
Protecting your balls with all the men's
We sing and dance as we go on, oh
We sing and dance in the cold, girl
Shitting your shape among scenery
Miss your silent. on my scenery
We sing and dance as we go, oh
We sing and dance in my tongue, girl!
Remove vegetation, clear the trees
It only comes further on in history
The swing advance as we go on
The swing advance, we're unsure
We sing and dance as we go, oh
We sing and dance in the cold oh, oh, oh, oh
We sing and dance as we go, ah oh oh
We sing and dance in the cold oh, oh, oh, oh
Oh, oh, oh, oh
We sing and dance as we go on, oh
We sing and dance in the cold, girl
We sing and dance as we go on, oh
We sing and dance in the cold, girl!
Nest in a bird, an enemy flew in
Fashion a life out of audio ruin
Farmers of God, is it good what you're doing?
Chanting a curse whilst religiously chewing
Is it time to repair? Is it time for unlocking?
To the shrine of the nomads, the pilgrims are flocking
Tracing a bee-line to witness a flogging
A slayer of giants in the finest of stockings
Tracing a bee-line to witness a flogging
A slayer of giants in the finest of stockings
Hearing the cheering of mothers and daughters
There's change in the air and a shortage of water
A bounty is posted, conditions: no quarter
Don't bargain with fish which are still in the water
A love of the camera; a stomach for slaughter
Fresh from the front: our favourite reporter
The risks are increasing, she'd hang if they caught her
The odds on survival grow shorter and shorter...
Is it time to repair? Is it time for unlocking?
To the shrine of the nomads, the pilgrims are flocking
Tracing a bee-line to witness a flogging
A slayer of giants in the finest of stockings
Who are the masked men?
Who are the cashed men?
Who are the flash men?
Where is the funman?
Where is the sunman?
Where is the gunman?
Where are the fast men?
Where are the past men?
Where are the last men?
On the table they're pawing the details
They wait for the meal to walk in the door
Edible hunter seeks credible victim
Sincerely rich seeks sceptical poor
In the corner they're shifting the ashes
Loyal traitor seeks empty womb
Oaken Tailor seeks viable impasse
Eternal youth seeks fatal bloom
I feel icy
I feel cold
I feel old
Is there something there behind me?
I'm sublime
I feel empty
I feel dark
I remark
I am mesmerised
By my own beat
Like a heartbeat
(In it's own beat)
You gained respect as we passed
Not a wave, a gestured wink
I was forced to think
I couldn't ignore
I've seen you before
Joking aside, face to face
It's the one I cannot place
A hint might enlarge your imprint
I think I've had a taste of a savoury
Denial would be a waste
Lying prone
Hiding in a column, between SALE and ZDRK
Sky, sand, and moorland, shepherd's delight
But not in the sun
Which stops you from walking
I might find you
But I lack the patience
Passed a corner, you'd been stolen
With all the front
And more besides
Bitch, thrust, and parry
And a few asides
With considerable charm
You chose not to decide
I really like you
Becomes my massage
I really want you
Becomes my message
But how long can we sustain
Ourselves apart?
The pressure's increasing it
Squeezes my heart
I bought a ticket
You took a walk
So much to say
We're unable to talk
Suffering in silence
Our eyes give it away
So close as we part
A touching display
Colouring my thoughts
Predominately grey and
Fighting bravely
Will she save me?
From what or who
It's sinister
I'd attempt a casual structure
Preceding interaction
Symphonic in persuasion
Noblesse oblige
Each minister
Is just a drop compared with
Having double vision
It's desirable in part
Refuse the ruse
Deciding each devise
If you don't think twice
Once is enough, once is enough
Preparing its demise
It's something you'll devise
Once is enough, once is enough
In passing
You sprang a leak instead
You'd sooner see its piety
You'd replied in its course
Before you
Resume transmission
You retiring
I'll respond with curtained thought
A pause for intermission
Tears fall in slivers, you broke my shades
The light too bright, let me bury my heart
Filter emotions of green, cowardicee gives blue
A restricted view, let me open my heart
I have a fleeting love
Searching when it lands
Fragile, needing precious hands
Fragile
You eat my energy, give me more rope
Nail in the wall, let me hang my heart
I have a fleeting love
Searching when it lands
Fragile, needing precious hands
As a mutual friend it was difficult to pretend
That I was anything less than concerned
Hearing of your troubles
Has forced me to double
My interest in your current affairs
It's no use despising a new unknown horizon
Now your son has set his sights on the moon
So precipitous a decision has clouded your vision
And altered the pitch of your tune
Please don't turn a deaf ear to the noises you hear
While savagely your love you prune
For he might replace the old with the moon
He might replace the old with the moon
In March, April, May, and June
July, August, September, soon
He might replace the old with the moon
It could be October
November, or even December
So in January and February, remember
He might replace the old with the moon
Does the pain remain when the head is turned
And the body walks away? You used to know
Does nausea ensue when you chance upon a memory
Of someone you used to know?
Does warmth increase when the pulse is strong
But the response is weak? You used to know
I just lay down guidelines in front of me
It's similar to the things you do to me
I'll give you an example typically
Two people in a room
Facial movements betray
A private display
Of nervous disorder
And mutual torture
Two people in a room
Bloody image is conjured
But no one is injured
The weapons are chosen
But the action is frozen
Two people in a room
Positions are shifted
The ceasefire uplifted
The lighting is fierce
It's intended to pierce
Any cloak of deceit
And encourage retreat
And God they're so gifted
I saw three dogs flying, there was a man on the end
Squaring a circle and studying its end
I saw a drunk old lady pissing in a bin
It was far too high, she couldn't stop
The man with the photograph failed to appear
In that kind of rain where an umbrella's no use
The bird lay bleeding, I couldn't break its neck
I get anonymous footbells from a pope I never met
Don't start me off
It's beginning, to, and back again
Don't start me off
Right now there's a man who could take advantage
I wouldn't like to spend an hour locked inside him
He always had an eye for it, we all threw a shoe
Nicely underlined, our table turned again
No blind spots in the leopard's eyes
Can only help to jeopardize
The lives of lambs, the shepherd cries
An afterlife for a silverfish
Eternal dust less ticklish
Than the clean room, a houseguest's wish
He lies on his side, is he trying to hide?
In fact it's the earth, which he's known since birth
Face worker, a serpentine miner
A roof falls, an underliner
We have heard the songs of angels
We have tasted flames from hell
We have seen the fallen hero
We have heard the ringing bell
And it all seems cleaner in the rain
Now it all begins to look the same
We have come into this lifetime
With only a few things on our side
Although we are only mortal men
The choice to change is yours and mine
And it all seems cleaner in the rain
And it all begins to look the same
Now the laughter turns to tears
Now the seconds seem like years
Oh but I'm still holding on
Driving through the tears
Only one world we've been given
Earth - wind - sea - air
We're burning holes into the morning sky
And we have learned not to care
And it all seems cleaner in the rain
And it all begins to look the same
Now the laughter turns to tears
Now the minutes seem like years
But I'm still holding on
Driving through the tears
And it all seems cleaner in the rain
And it all begins to look the same
Now the laughter turns to tears
Now the days seem like years
I hear the gods begin to cheer
As we watch our sky disappear
This is my Exodus
This is my Wire
Send it to those who care
I'm still holding on
Turn on the spotlight, strike up the band
Everyone's looking my way
They came to see the excitement firsthand
Hear all that I've got to say
Oh, it makes me wonder What if I slip
Will they catch me or watch me fall?
I am walking on a wire, tiptoe in through the fire
Never looking down to see that
I am walking on a wire, the pressure's getting higher
But I don't look around
Everyone roots for the winner
The others well maybe next time
Time at the top only lasts fifteen minutes
They just leave you behind
Oh, it makes me wonder, what if I slip
Will they catch me or watch me fall?
I am walking on a wire, tiptoe in through the fire
Never looking down to see that
I am walking on a wire, pressure's getting higher
But I don't look around, it's so far to the ground
Will they catch me if I fall?
Will they catch me if I fall?
What if I slip
Will they catch me or watch me fall?
I am walking on a wire, tiptoe in through the fire
Never looking down to see that
Yeah I am walking on a wire, pressure's getting higher
I don't look around it's so far to the ground
