The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) is an agency of the United States Department of Defense responsible for the development of new technologies for use by the military. DARPA has been responsible for funding the development of many technologies which have had a major effect on the world, including computer networking, as well as NLS, which was both the first hypertext system, and an important precursor to the contemporary ubiquitous graphical user interface. DARPA began as the Advanced Research Projects Agency (ARPA) created in 1958 by President Dwight D. Eisenhower for the purpose of forming and executing research and development projects to expand the frontiers of technology and science and able to reach far beyond immediate military requirements.[3] The administration was responding to the Soviet launching of Sputnik 1 in 1957, and ARPA's mission was to ensure U.S. military technology be more sophisticated than that of the nation's potential enemies. From DARPA's own introduction:[4] DARPA’s original mission, established in 1958, was to prevent technological surprise like the launch of Sputnik, which signaled that the Soviets had beaten the U.S. into space. The mission statement has evolved over time. Today, DARPA’s mission is still to prevent technological surprise to the US, but also to create technological surprise for our enemies. ARPA was renamed to "DARPA" (for Defense) in March 1972, then renamed "ARPA" in February 1993, and then renamed "DARPA" again in March 1996. DARPA is independent from other more conventional military research and development and reports directly to senior Department of Defense management. DARPA has around 240 personnel (about 140 technical) directly managing a $3 billion budget. These figures are "on average" since DARPA focuses on short-term (two to four year) projects run by small, purpose-built teams. Here are 10 incredibly ambitious DARPA projects. The United States Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, or DARPA, was established in 1958 to make sure the country’s military has the best and most useful technology. Here are 10 of the agency’s most ambitious projects. Number 10. A floating tank. The Captive Air Amphibious Transporter, called CAAT for short, is designed for making short trips from ship to shore while carrying a full load or towing smaller crafts behind it. Number 9. Confetti-sized navigation tool. In the event that access to GPS is unavailable, researchers have made a locating chip that’s smaller than a penny. It uses a clock, gyroscopes, and accelerometers to help a person figure out where they are and where they’re headed. Number 8. Self-guided bullets. Sometimes even highly-trained sharpshooters need a little help hitting their targets. Enter the EXACTO system, complete with maneuverable bullets and real-time guidance abilities. Number 7. Spray-can walls. Dubbed project BlockADE, which stands for ‘Block Access to Deny Entry’, DARPA is working with developers to make an easy-to-use material that could build barricades impervious to bullets, human force, and sharp tools. Number 6. Unmanned helicopters. A lot of missions could benefit from vertical take off and landing vehicles, but using traditional helicopters isn’t always an option. Various modules attached to a self-flying craft could provide needed services to otherwise inaccessible areas. Number 5. Underwater supply hubs. The ocean floor is enormous and hard to get to, which, for DARPA, makes it the perfect place to create a secret supply stash. Filled capsules could stay underwater until needed, at which time they’d be summoned to float up to their desired recipient. Number 4. Terminator vision. First, the enhanced optical system would supply the goggle wearer with a dimensional, 360-degree view of their surroundings. Then, it would assess and locate targets within it. Just like in the movies. Number 3. Solar-powered drones. At present, drones run on short-lived power sources and thus can only make treks of limited duration. Switching to solar power could allow them to roam the skies for up to 5 years. Number 2. Gecko Gloves. The problem with tall walls is that they’re just so hard to climb over. In an effort to make the task a lot easier, a special fabric has been created. It helps humans scale vertical surfaces with the ease and grace of the project’s inspiration animal, the gecko. Number 1. Robotic pack mules. Guns, ammo, and supplies are heavy and the front line is no place for a real mule to be hauling it around. That’s where the robot version of the beast of burden comes in. It was recently tested in Hawaii and it reportedly can handle large loads and tough terrain. Which DARPA project do you think is the most ambitious?
DARPA and Arizona State University are testing a jetpack for US troops, but it has at least one major drawback. The device will not allow soldiers to fly, instead increasing the ground speed of the wearer, allowing them to run a four minute mile. (Truthstream Media.com) Dystopic Hollywood nightmares have nothing on real life military research projects. During Truthstream Media's June 29th broadcast on UnboundRadio.com, Melissa Melton listed off a long, creepy list of semi-secret projects the military is pursuing under DARPA (Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency). In addition to the many robots DARPA has created to mimic human walking, throw cinder blocks, run on four legs at cheetah speed, climb trees, grasp objects, kill targets and more, DARPA has announced projects including mapping the human brain, trying to create a physical, thinking brain for robots, computers that can think for themselves, tracking rat brains over the Internet, real-life Avatar projects, autonomous robots, electronic tattoos and pills swallowed to authenticate online access instead of passwords, mapping the neuroscience of the "fight or flight response," tracking heart beats and other long distance biometrics, quantifying and track "love" and emotive responses, mind controlling squids.... and much much more.

http://www.undergroundworldnews.com For now, the technology is in “crude” form undergoing R&D; through animal testing, specifically with the neural connections of a zebrafish. In the longer term, DARPA researchers (the Pentagon’s Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency) believes the gene modifying optical technology will be able to restore vision to the blind and impaired, and replaced current conceptions of virtual reality, with an internal display that will provide vital stats and more about the target, err, object in view. According to CNET, the DARPA boffins are reportedly working on a device known as a ‘cortical modem’ that plugs directly into a person’s DNA and visual cortex. Not only does this unique device help someone overcome blindness or poor eyesight, it generates a built-in heads-up display (HUD) that appears right in before their very eyes. The implants create an augmented reality projection that appears like magic in your natural vision and without the need for helmets or special eyeglasses. September 05, 2014. GXV-T Envisions Future Armored Ground Vehicles that Could Sprint, Dodge and Shield Their Way Out of Danger. One of the key goals of DARPA's Ground X-Vehicle Technology (GXV-T) program is improving the survivability of ground-based armored fighting vehicles by increasing vehicle agility. Vehicle agility involves the ability to autonomously avoid incoming threats, either by rapidly moving out of the way or reconfiguring the vehicle so incoming threats have a low probability of hitting and penetrating—all without injuring the occupants in the process. This concept video illustrates three of many potential approaches: active repositioning of armor, burst acceleration and suspensions that would enable the vehicle to dodge. Ground-based armored fighting vehicles and their occupants have traditionally relied on armor and maneuverability for protection. The amount of armor needed for today’s threat environments, however, is becoming increasingly burdensome and ineffective against ever-improving weaponry. GXV-T seeks to develop revolutionary technologies to enable a layered approach to protection that would use less armor more strategically and improve vehicles’ ability to avoid detection, engagement and hits by adversaries. Such capabilities would enable smaller, faster vehicles in the future to more efficiently and cost-effectively tackle varied and unpredictable combat situations.
An ultra-fast U.S. military drone that streaked across the sky at 13,000 mph and met its demise in the Pacific was doomed by the excessive heat of hypersonic travel, which literally peeled away the drone's metal skin, military officials have revealed. A seven-month study by the military's Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, or DARPA, has found that the so-called Hypersonic Technology Vehicle 2 (HTV-2) amazingly recovered from shockwaves that forced it to roll while traveling at Mach 20 (about 20 times the speed of sound) in an August 2011 test. But the unmanned aircraft was unable to cope with damage to its exterior caused by its extreme speed, DARPA officials said. There is a full article on the HTV-2 here, http://www.space.com/15388-darpa-hypersonic-glider-demise-explained.html
Witout rocket but with powerful US F-15 jet Plane. Airborne Launch Assist Space Access, or DARPA ALASA, a current program of the US defense technology agency DARPA "designed to produce a rocket capable of launching a 100-pound satellite into low Earth orbit for less than $1 million." The program was conceived, then announced in 2011, and funded development work began in 2012. Traditional launch methods of satellites are too costly to put small payloads into orbit without a larger payload accompanying it to make the launch worth the expense. Current launches of sub-100-pound satellites are performed as "piggyback payloads" on launches of much larger spacecraft, usually headed for geostationary orbit, and are released at the altitude of the primary payload. In addition, range costs of operating from ground-based infrastructure have escalated as they have aged, accounting for up to 35 percent of the launch cost. This restricts the number of light satellite launches to 10-12 per year, which could be increased if small payloads could be launched into space affordably and without ground range constraints. Air-launching satellites was first seriously considered during the 1950s and 1960s, but small payloads in the 100-pound class at the time did not have effective capabilities, so the method was overlooked. The first air-launched rocket to put a satellite into orbit was the Orbital Sciences Corporation Pegasus on 13 June 1990, but it was deployed from a heavily modified and expensive Lockheed L-1011 airliner. The ALASA program's objective is to use an unmodified aircraft platform (except for software) that does not have to be dedicated to the mission to place a 100 lb satellite into orbit that requires only 24 hours notice to integrate and launch the payload, with the ability to re-plan the launch in flight and relocate the aircraft to any civilian airport or military airfield in a crisis situation, while using onboard GPS/inertial position reporting rather than ground-based radar tracking. In the first phase, Boeing, Lockheed Martin and Virgin Galactic were funded to explore different Alasa system concepts while Northrop Grumman, Space Information Laboratories and Ventions were contracted to work on enabling technologies that could be used by any or all of the system teams. In December 2012, DARPA announced that the ALASA program would provide the launch vehicle booster for another DARPA program that is intending to release a "constellation of 24 micro-satellites (~20 kilograms (44 lb) range) each with 1-meter imaging resolution." In May 2013, DARPA requested US$40 million for a second year of ALASA program funding in spring 2013. ABERDEEN PROVING GROUND, Md. (Oct. 28, 2014) -- Army researchers are evaluating prototype devices developed for the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency. The DARPA Warrior Web program's goal is to create a soft, lightweight undersuit to help reduce injuries and fatigue while improving mission performance. DARPA is responsible for the development of new technologies for the U.S. military. Researchers from Harvard University's Wyss Institute for Biologically Inspired Engineering spent the past two years developing a biologically inspired smart suit that aims to boost efficiency through a new approach. A series of webbing straps contain a microprocessor and a network of strain sensors. "The suit mimics the action of leg muscles and tendons so a Soldier's muscles expend less energy," said Dr. Ignacio Galiana, a robotics engineer working on the project. Galiana said the team looked to nature for inspiration in developing cables and pulleys that interact with small motors to provide carefully timed assistance without restricting movement. DARPA selected the U.S. Army Research Laboratory to evaluate several Warrior Web prototypes at the Soldier Performance and Equipment Advanced Research facility, or SPEAR, at Aberdeen Proving Ground. "DARPA was looking for an organization that had experience collecting biomechanics and physiological data on Soldiers in the field and evaluating Soldier performance for various equipment items," said Dr. Angela Boynton, a mechanical engineer with ARL's Human Research and Engineering Directorate. "We have a unique capability in that we have a biomechanics lab colocated with an obstacle course and a cross-country course, so we're able to collect both lab-based data and field data for the systems." During testing, Soldiers wear the prototype while carrying battle gear. Researchers capture data as the Soldier walks on an instrumented treadmill that measures how hard the feet hit the ground with each stride. "We're also looking at how they're walking in terms of time and space," Boynton said. "We get things like stride length and stride frequency, and the time that their feet are in contact with the ground. We are also capturing energy expenditure data so we know how many calories they're burning while they're walking on the treadmill with the different conditions. We're also looking at muscle activity, specifically the leg muscles, to look at the amount of muscle work that they're doing while they're performing that task." Army evaluators and the Harvard researchers walked alongside Spc. Rafael Boza, a Soldier from the 1st Infantry Division at Fort Riley, Kansas. Boza tested the prototype Oct. 2, 2014, on a three-mile course on paved roads and rough terrain. DARPA also turned to Army researchers during the first phase of Warrior Web prototype development last year. ARL tested nine devices on Soldiers over a 21-week period. "Most of the devices that they've brought us have been really interesting, and in many cases, did seem to help the Soldiers to some extent," Boynton said. "The level of development from the first round of evaluations to the second round of evaluations has been really impressive, so far. They've addressed a lot of the human factors issues in terms of comfort and fit that we identified in the first round of evaluations, and a lot of the system functionality has been much more streamlined and it's starting to look like a field-ready device, rather than a prototype." Harvard said they hope to help Soldiers to "walk longer distances, keep fatigue at bay and minimize the risk of injury when carrying heavy loads." The Army plans to continue to gather high-resolution, highly controlled data during the prototype evaluation. Another device from the University of Delaware is scheduled to soon be tested here. DARPA's goal is to integrate "multiple mature component technologies into a system potentially wearable by 90 percent of the U.S. Army population, both male and female." By David McNally, RDECOM Public Affairs.

PR Newswire 2015-03-17The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) is an agency of the United States Department of Defense responsible for the development of new technology for use by the military. DARPA has been responsible for funding the development of many technologies which have had a major effect on the world, including computer networking, as well as NLS, which was both the first hypertext system, and an important precursor to the contemporary ubiquitous graphical user interface.
Its original name was simply Advanced Research Projects Agency (ARPA), but it was renamed to "DARPA" (for Defense) in March 1972, then renamed "ARPA" again in February 1993, and then renamed "DARPA" again in March 1996.
DARPA was established during 1958 (as ARPA) in response to the Soviet launching of Sputnik during 1957, with the mission of keeping U.S. military technology more sophisticated than that of the nation's potential enemies. From DARPA's own introduction,
DARPA’s original mission, established in 1958, was to prevent technological surprise like the launch of Sputnik, which signaled that the Soviets had beaten the U.S. into space. The mission statement has evolved over time. Today, DARPA’s mission is still to prevent technological surprise to the US, but also to create technological surprise for our enemies.

Miles away from
Those that matter
Unfamiliar place
Hours bleed out and
Days tail off then
Night degrades to gray
Crooked timber
Keep me warm and safe
Bells toll slowly
Loud dark iron
Can't place where I am
No clear signal
Scraping dragging
Fate pulls faces
Crooked timber
Steer me keep me sane
Times' attrition
Grinds these landscapes
Sifts them into shape
My resistance
To it's pressure
Buckles more each day
Crooked timber
That we can't make straight
I thought there'd be a point to all this
Someday it would all make sense
Still waiting there's nothing yet
I have everything I need
Food, shelter, family
People that love me
Routine, habits, our daily rituals
Deaden perception
Work, leisure, blank eyed ambition
(Where's this going?)
Big black hooded perambulator
Birth was the death of me
Big black hooded perambulator
Running red lights to the cemetery
Gradually I started to feel
All the absurdity
Put me in a minor key
Breath snags in my chest
Words get left unsaid
Leaving me feel, well... helpless
Routine, habits, our daily rituals
Deaden perception
Work, leisure, blank eyed ambition
(Where's this going?)
Big black hooded perambulator
Birth was the death of me
Big black hooded perambulator
Running red lights to the cemetery
Today is the first day of the rest of your lite
Tell that to your liver, tell that to your ex-wife
Routine, habits, our daily rituals
Deaden perception
Work, leisure, blank eyed ambition
(Where's this going?)
Big black hooded perambulator
Birth was the death of me
Big black hooded perambulator
Running red lights to the cemetery
Big black hooded perambulator
Birth was the death of me
Heaven kicked you out
you wouldnt wear a tie
staring at some pictures by yourself
at something that you want to have but will never get
Going nowhere, going nowhere
Going nowhere, going nowhere
You get drunk every night
you can't get drunk on life
shouting at the world you'll never change,
but it's what inside you've got to rearrange
Going nowhere, going nowhere
Going nowhere, going nowhere
Heaven kicked you out
Going nowhere, going nowhere
Going nowhere, going nowhere
Going nowhere, going nowhere
Going nowhere, going nowhere
Heaven kicked you out
Making up of what you never had
Loosing every single thing you'll ever have
Going nowhere, going nowhere
Going nowhere, going nowhere
Going nowhere, going nowhere

I don't need a spotlight
I've got a 60 watt bulb
It shines a light on the music I like
It shines a light on me and my friends
I've got a 60 watt bulb
And a concrete coat
It shines a light on me and my friends
It shines a light on the music I like
I've got a 60 watt bulb
My spotlight shining above
I'm gonna shine a light, a light on my friends
I'm gonna shine a light, a light on my friends
I've got a 60 watt bulb
My music and a concrete coat
I've got a 60 watt bulb
Sealed in my sleeping floor
60 watt bulb
60 watt bulb
60 watt bulb
60 watt bulb
I've got a 60 watt bulb
It's my bright idea
Stand close and I'll steam up your glasses
Beam my vision up your grainy asses
I've got a 60 watt bulb
My spotlight shining above
I've got a 60 watt bulb
Yeah, 60 watt bulb
60 watt bulb
60 watt bulb
60 watt bulb
60 watt bulb, yeah
I've got a 60 watt bulb

We sold our souls to the man
Maybe I'm in hell, maybe I'm alone
But I can deal with this, at least I feel at home
I never really cared about you, I never really got to thinking about you
I never really cared about you, I never really got to thinking about you
You just go get drunk, then you go mess up
Then come back to me, telling me you're clean
I never really cared about you, I never really got to thinking about you
I never really cared about you, I never really got to thinking about you
You are on your own, you are on your own
You'll never change your ways, you'll just die the same
I never really cared about you, I never really got to thinking about you
I never really cared about you, I never really got to thinking about you
I never really cared about you, I never really got to thinking about you
I never really cared about you, I never really got to thinking about you
Suck in the air far as I can
And try to taste the day
Don't even think of looking back
We press on again
Don't let me die just yet
I've only woken up
There's so much to do
There's so little done
You see the sun in everyone
Sometimes I wish I could
Not blindly hope through helplessness
And ever dwindling truth
Don't let me die just yet
I've only woken up
There's so much to do
Can you feel it?
Can you feel it?
Can you feel it?
Can you feel it?
All you optimists
Can kiss my ass
Because the future is relentlessly bleak
And nature has the last laugh
Rain hits concrete
Rain hits concrete
Rain hits concrete
Rain hits concrete
Sing about what you know
So here we go
This town, this country, this place
A crying shame
A fucking disgrace
Rain hits concrete
Rain hits concrete
Rain hits concrete
Rain hits concrete
Rain hits concrete
Rain hits concrete
Rain hits concrete
Rain hits concrete
Can you feel it?
Can you feel it?
Can you feel it?
Can you feel it?
Rain hits concrete
Rain hits concrete
Rain hits concrete
Rain hits concrete
Rain hits concrete
Rain hits concrete
Rain hits concrete
We came across the west sea
We didn't have much idea of the kind of climate waiting
We used our hands for guidance like the children of a preacher
Like a dry tree seeking water or a daughter
Nice 'n' sleazy, nice 'n' sleazy does it
Nice 'n' sleazy, nice 'n' sleazy does it, does it, does it every time
Nice 'n' sleazy, nice 'n' sleazy does it, does it, does it every time
Nice 'n' sleazy does it
An angel came from outside
Had no halo, had no father, with a coat of many colours
He spoke of brothers many, wine and women, song a plenty
He began to write a chapter in history
Nice 'n' sleazy, nice 'n' sleazy does it
Nice 'n' sleazy, nice 'n' sleazy does it, does it, does it every time
Nice 'n' sleazy, nice 'n' sleazy does it, does it, does it every time
Nice 'n' sleazy does it
Nice 'n' sleazy does it
Nice 'n' sleazy does it
My dear young lover, this is just to say I'm gone
I couldn't leave you if I faced your eyes and shaking
It was my emptiness that kept me hanging on
Forgive my loneliness, there's nothing I could say
And this is why our love must die
I thought of other girls when you made love to me
You gave yourself too much and I took full advantage
The more I pushed you back the more you clung to me
Don't want to be the one who reminds you of your father
This is why our love must die
My dear young lover, that was just to say I'm gone
I couldn't face your just the morning after, shaking
I'll come back one day when I feel so alone
Until then I know I'll just get my things and go
And this is why our love must die
Our love must die, our love must die
Our love must die, our love must die
Our love must die, our love must die
I want to go where the good ones go

'm just a private nobody
My dog-tag reads "leave me alone"
I wake, I live, I sleep
Nothing more
So it goes
Private Nobody
Private Nobody
Billy Pilgrim's got a kind face
A sign of comfort, an open door
Everybody has a third face
The one they'll never show
Private Nobody
Private Nobody
Private Nobody
Private Nobody
I'm trying to walk up the stairs
My hands are snatchin' at the slivers of light
I'm stickin' to the steps
Each one a release
From the place below
I'm on a mission
On the hunt for clean
Clear vapour skies
'Cos I'm choking on my own
I need some air
The dark skies behind me
Begging you to scrape off, your disco paint
It's open to the night
And I'm sick as a hospital
And empty factories
You look so tiny, so very unimportant
I'm nearly there, and everything feels fine
Don't wanna look behind me
Don't wanna look beneath me
Every movement
Every vibration
Every movement
Every vibration
High above piss city
Watch the pigs-ear people
All dead in their drows
Some suffer in silence
Someone sparks
Some gorge sucking on silicone
I've got the urge to jump
Watch life whizz by
Fast foward flash
But hold on boy
I feel... alive
Don't wanna look behind me
Don't wanna look beneath me
Every movement
Every vibration
Every movement
Every vibration
Don't wanna look behind me
Don't wanna look beneath me
Every movement
Every vibration
Every movement
Every vibration
Don't wanna look behind me
Don't wanna look beneath me
Every movement
Every vibration
Every movement
Wake up... time to die!
No one knows the trouble I've seen
No one knows my mind
Don't think about it, you won't feel bad
You can't touch me now
Hate, freedom
Hate, freedom
Hate, freedom
Hate, freedom
When I grow up
Wanna be, gonna be like me
You'll be dyin', I'll be smilin'
Just you wait and see
Hate, freedom
Hate, freedom
Hate, freedom

It's not my job to see the funny side

It's not my job to amuse you
Entertain yourself motherf*cker
It's not my job to amuse you

Ex-consumer
Drowned my computer
Caught the f**ker talking back to me
Cut to the chase
Bury the waste
Disposable is the key
When you live like a f**ker
You die like a motherf**ker
Live like a f**ker
You die like a motherf**ker
Live like a f**ker
You die like a motherf**ker
Die motherf**ker
Die motherf**ker die
Bored to distraction
With your comedy action
I wish you'd get up and leave
Out of my face
And into the shit
Long may you rot in peace
When you live like a f**ker
You die like a motherf**ker
Live like a f**ker
You die like a motherf**ker
Live like a f**ker
You die like a motherf**ker
Die motherf**ker
Die motherf**ker die
Atomised
Itemised
And super-sized to death
Short attention spawn
The curtains drawn
A generation takes it's last breath
When you live like a f**ker
You die like a motherf**ker
Live like a f**ker
You die like a motherf**ker
Live like a f**ker
You die like a motherf**ker

Take the knife on up the hill, lover, and kiss the girl goodbye
Your foetus is dead dripping down your dress
And her life now means to me even less
In her head the knife that he put inside
Is only the knife that he couldn't find
Can't get him out of your system
Lead and I will follow, lead and I will follow
Get him out of your system
Lead and I will follow, lead and I will follow
This family I've looked for all my life
Is killing everything I've ever loved
He tells me to give my first born up
I love him, he's all I ever want
Can't get him out of your system
Lead and I will follow, lead and I will follow
Get him out of your system
Lead and I will follow, lead and I will follow
Get him out of your system
Lead and I will follow, lead and I will follow
Can't get him out of your system
Lead and I will follow, lead and I will follow
I don't fit, take me out of here
I don't fit, take me out of here
I don't fit, take me out of here (Can't get him out of your system)
I don't fit, take me out of here (Get him out of your system)
(Get him out, get him out, get him out, can't get him out)
I don't fit, take me out of here
(Get him out, get him out, get him out, can't get him out)
I don't fit, take me out of here
(No, you can't get him out)
(No, you'll never get him out)
(Get him out, can't get him out)
I can feel your fingers
Feel your fingers in my head
Going through the wreckage
Through the wreckage of my thoughts
I can feel your fingers
Feel your fingers in my head
Going through the wreckage
Through the wreckage of my thoughts
I can feel your eyes
I feel your eyes, they're in my head
Going through the wreckage
Through the wreckage of my thoughts
I can feel your eyes
I feel your eyes, they're in my head
Going through the wreckage
Through the wreckage of my thoughts
You are on your own, you are on your own, you are on your own
You are on your own, you are on your own, you are on your own
You are on your own, you are on your own, you are on your own
Poor old Sisyphus, poor old us
An uphill struggle, no one gives a toss
So we get angry, drunk or lost
Look at us, self pity times two
Abstention for both me and you
Nothing more terrible, nothing more true
Forward I'll go on
I'll push on
Through all the trouble
And I can only try
And enjoy the struggle
In this cosmic tragedy
I could pen another threnody
Of my remaining mortality
This drama we become obsessed
With the mechanics of our final breath
Make the time left a living death
Forward I'll go on
I'll push on
Through all the trouble
And I can only try
Honey, we've survived
Made it to the suburbs
Where lights are timed
And driveways clean
This is what I get
At the end of it
A house
Not a home
It leaves me cold
It leaves me cold
It leaves me cold
It leaves me cold
And unconsoled
I haven't seen you for years
But I think about you
Everyday
Everyday
And I wonder why
If I'm meant to feel safe at night
I close my eyes
But I'm still awake
It leaves me cold
It leaves me cold
It leaves me cold
It leaves me cold
It leaves me unconsoled
It leaves me cold
It leaves me cold
It leaves me cold
It leaves me cold
It leaves me unconsoled
Unconsoled
It leaves me cold
It leaves me cold
It leaves me cold
It leaves me cold
It leaves me cold
It leaves me cold
Flowers mark the spot
Where this world shut you off
Violets, blues and pinks
Surrounded by police tape
The sky is overcast
Winter swallows light so fast
Where'd the summer go?
Smothered under snow
We pass by
And we do nothing
Just walk on by
Alone
Flowers mark the spot
Where this world shut you off
Tragic blues and pinks
Surrounded by police tape
The sky is overcast
Winter swallows light so fast
Where'd the summer go?
Smothered under snow
We pass by
And we do nothing
Just walk on by
Alone
We pass by
And we do nothing
Just strangers
In our white noise
We pass by
And we do nothing
Just walk on by
Alone
We pass by
And we do nothing
Just strangers
In our white noise
Our white noise
Our white noise
Our white noise
Our white noise
Our white noise
Our white noise
Our white noise
Our white noise
Our white noise
Our white noise
Our white noise
Our white noise
Our white noise
Our white noise
Our white noise
Check the shape of your eyes
You're taking too much
And loosen your smile
You're pushing too hard
You're lost for words
For what it's worth
The years ache on
You get the face you deserve
Time will heal these scars
I don't need your help
The melody's choked
Stuck in a swollen throat
Self-medicated and over-served
The tell-tale signs
You make your fate when you
Rise up, rise up
And make yourself well
Rise up, rise up
And make yourself well
Scream yourself awake
Snap out of the trance
Feeling clumsy watching others dance
And draining away
A tangle of nerves
Kick out of your way
And learn to
Rise up, rise up
And make yourself well
Rise up, rise up
And make yourself well
Rise up, rise up
And make yourself well
Rise up, rise up
And make yourself well
Check the shape of your eyes
Check the shape of your eyes
Check the shape of your eyes
Check the shape of your eyes
Rise up, rise up
And make yourself well
Rise up, rise up
And make yourself well
Rise up, rise up
And make yourself well
Rise up, rise up
And make yourself well
Rise up, rise up
Rise up, rise up
Rise up, rise up
Hey sister
What i'm in for?
What is this place?
Who are this people?
Miles of wires
Fluorescent light
Crimson faces
Familiar hatred
Miles of wires
Fluorescent light
Crimson faces
Knucle necklace
(Chorus)
Sister I'm lost
And i'm taking you with me
Where ever i go
Yeah, i'm taking you with me
But sister, i'm lost
And it's raining
Like i've never seen
Thick red hot
In pregnant drops
I scratch my skin
I can't sleep
I'm barely awake
I'm suffocating
An open space
I can't sleep
I'm barely awake
I'm suffocating
I'm suffocating
(chorus)
Do not, do not, do not, do not, do not
Do, do, do, do, do
Do not, do not, do not, do not, do not
Do, do, do, do, do
And i can't sit still
And i can't relax
It's like trying find my way out from someone else's nightmare
Working for the same old people
Waiting for the same old things
Working for the same old people
Waiting for the same old things
I think that this record is stuck
The dust in these grooves leave it blocked
It used to be sound as a bell
Now it sounds like it's dying
To its siren-like call you are drawn
Oblivious to warnings of harm
Are you happy now?
Now you've got what you wanted
You want to see the magic return
But you will only see it cursed and spurned
When will you ever learn that I hate every second
The life that we lived has moved on
The people we were then are gone
But the fire that we carry flames on
It still burns but in a different way
So to hell with old heartaches and deaths
Misfortunes, mistakes and regrets
There's fresh problems and I want fresh solutions
You want to see the magic return
But you will only see it cursed and spurned
When will you ever learn that I hate every second
You want to see the magic return
But you will only see it cursed and spurned
When will you ever learn that I hate every second
Shall we dance? Like we used to
Shall we dance? Just like the old days
Just like the old days
With heavy tread and treacle feet
I drag my baggage behind me
Everything's absurd, everything feels strange
I experience time as a terrible ache
Alone and unnoticed on the busy street
I'm living in the shadow of the terrible thing
Windows shatter and alarm bells ring
I'm living in the shadow of the terrible thing
Halfway down the road I've lost all purpose
No Virgil at my side to guide and interpret
Darkness visible, failing light
I hurt in every inch of my lived lite
Sinking slowly in this miasma
I've been in your room
Going through your things
I can smell you here
Wrapped around my world
I said no
Suck me to your skin
Feed me through your thoughts
Twist me with your tongue
Spit me on the floor
I said no
I've got nothing else
Wretched, dumb and poor
Hang around my neck
Pull on me and fall
Night time
Perspective
Little lights glisten
The city below
Two blunt
Smudges
Tail lights
Blind corner
It's all made special for you
It's all made special for you
It's all made special for you
It's all made special for you
You see the city below
You see the city below
You see the city below
You see the city below
And then your heart beat hits
Heart beat hits
Your heart beat hits
Heart beat hits
Your heart beat hits
Heart beat hits
Your heart beat hits
Heart beat hits
How ya
Doing?
You look
Good in that
Two blunt smudges
Tail lights
Blind corner
It's all made special for you
It's all made special for you
It's all made special for you
It's all made special for you
You see the city below
You see the city below
You see the city below
You see the city below
And then your heart beat hits
You see the city below
You see the city below
You see the city below
You see the city below
You see the city below
You see the city below
You see the city below
You see the city below
And then your heart beat hits
Heart beat hits
Your heart beat hits
Heart beat hits
Your heart beat hits
Heart beat hits
Your heart beat hits
Heart beat hits
One of these days when nature spring cleans
I'll be part of the flotsam that goes
I'd like to think that I'll make room for others
As others have made room for me
With all this darkness round me
I feel less alone
In this bad excuse for daylight
I feel less
Willed on, aware of brevity
Can't the present freeze just a while
The past has gone
The future happening
What happens in between
Happens anyway with all this darkness round me
I feel less alone
In this bad excuse for daylight
Empty home they've all left one by one
I'm alone with all the things I've done
The things I can't make right
The words I can't take back
The life that's unfulfilled
The love I've killed
I exist a prisoner of my deeds
Manic smiles soon flayed by memories
The things I can't make right
The words I can't take back
The life that's unfulfilled
The love I've killed
Bare magnolia walls dragging feet in unlit halls
Unfinished business I've begin and left undone
The things I can't make right
The words I can't take back
The life that's unfulfilled
You've got a bad vibration from your morbid fascination
Try to creep your way through town, but the bridge is already down
Yeah, you and your cronies, you only prey on the lonely
A world of monochrome rainbows says everything about you now
Hey, come on, everything you do is wrong
Bad karma follows you around
Bad karma follows you around
Bad karma follows you around
Bad karma, bad karma follows you around
The first time you got your hands on cash, you got a face like a car crash
After that everything went black and I knew you were never coming back
You lie, you cheat, you steal, from your own but not from me
And everything you feel comes from someone else's heart
Hey, come on, everything you do is wrong
Bad karma follows you around
Bad karma follows you around
Bad karma follows you around
Bad karma, bad karma follows you around
Mercy
You've got a bad vibration
You've got a bad vibration
You've got a bad vibration
You've got a bad vibration
Hey, come on, everything you do is wrong
Bad karma follows you around
Bad karma follows you around
Bad karma follows you around
Bad karma, bad karma, bad karma, bad karma
Bad karma, bad karma, bad karma, bad karma
Existence
It's just a question of time
Failure
Half deaf, half blind
Onward
Over ruined terrain
Forward
On twisted legs
Before you
With you
After you
This is how it is
Feed me
Medicine
Feed me
Simplifications
I need
Illusions
So bleak
It's funny
Before you
With you
After you
This is how it is
I can't stop it
I can't sit still
I can't end what I couldn't begin
Novels unfinished
Records unplayed
Words just paper
Music just noise
Before you
With you
After you
This is how it is
[x2]
The toxic glow of this botched city
Hums in time with my nightmares
Murmuring sinister resonance
The shocking and the shaping of air
Trapped in a shivering carcass
Part of a throbbing crowd
Every space is constantly trembling
Stay awake, lights go out
Time speeds up, I get older
Get your dead hand of my shoulder
You are a present absence
Spectral traces everywhere
You set the darkness echoing
Chair creaks, you're not there
Vibration through my body
It hits my chest and throat
At the point of suffocation I let go
Time speeds up, I get older
Get your dead hand of my shoulder
Deafening whispered threats
Like an unknowable breath
Rising in a hollow swell
Shrill bloody red
All streets are screaming empty
Frequencies sing your ghost
We've had our time together
Now I've got to let you go
Time speeds up, I get older
Get your dead hand of my shoulder
Kissed a man's feet, then shot him dead
Didn't like his face or what he said
Saw a movie and I finally cracked
It sent him skyward
Skyward
Sick of people asking how much I have
(I don't need this world no more)
The world has slashed its wrists, it's lying dead
(Take away this pain, no more)
My down is bad but my high is worse
You send me skyward
Skyward
Every single day I'm feeling just like before
(Every day is just like before)
Every single day I'm feeling just like before
(You're shooting up my veins, just like before)
Every single day I feel it coming down
(I've got to step back and see where to stop)
You send me skyward
Skyward
It took a hammer to shape his mind
(Take away this pain, no more)
Time after time he closed his eyes
(Take away the pain, no more)
He felt his body trailing all down the years
He fell skyward
Skyward
Skyward
I'm suing God
For spiritual harassment and the costs
I'm suing God
Our business has been working at a loss
What if no one meets me on the other side?
Say goodbye to time-shares in paradise
What if no one meets me on the other side?
What if no one meets me?
I'm suing God
For breach of peace and advertising laws
I'm suing God
I'll get him on the Darwin get-out clause
What if no one meets me on the other side?
Say goodbye to time-shares in paradise
What if no one meets me on the other side?
What if no one meets me?
What if no one meets me on the other side?
Say goodbye to time-shares in paradise
What if no one meets me on the other side?
Morning is yawning and out comes the sun
With no choice but to light nothing new
Opening eyes as the radio sighs
Three chords and any old lies
On to the sheets and maybe the streets
I imagine as vibrant and shrill
A comedy troupe of molecular soup
Atoms chiming in time and in tune
Give us circus and bread
It keeps us happy
But what do we do, now we are happy?
Gorging on everything all of the time
Passing it on to the brood
Fattening kids for the future ahead
In case we run out of food
The audience roar and move in for the kill
A spectacle threatening to spill
They want it right now, but they want it low fat
Expectancy drips down their chins
Give us circus and bread
It keeps us happy
Little Ian, the camp old queen
Went to London and came back lean
Little Leslie, fond of the sun
Came back with more than a tan
Tried to change the shape of their lives
Carved from concrete with a welfare knife
Their vain brains in their hedonistic heads
Only carved a hole in their bodies instead
Every day I feel the same, every day drains into the next
Every day I feel the same, every day drains into the next
Every day I feel the same, every day drains into the next
Every day I feel the same, every day drains into the next
Oh, what can be this?
What have I done to deserve this? (Every day)
It's bad enough as it is
I've been kicked in the face by the punishment kiss
Little Ian, the camp old queen

Little Leslie, fond of the sun
Came back with more than a tan
Tried to change the shape of their lives

Everything under the sun [x3]
Is absurd
Vain days spent as a shadow
Trying to color the void
Without you to lose myself in
I'd have given up
Everything under the sun [x3]
Is absurd
Mere breath could be useless
I'll strive to overcome
Without you to lose myself in
I'd have given up
Everything under the sun [x3]
Is absurd
Everything under the sun [x3]
Is absurd
Can't turn it off
Can't make it stop
Can't staunch the flow
The buzzing
The buzzing
Open to everything
Over-exposure
Land of confusion
The buzzing
The buzzing
Nothing to express
Nothing to express it with
Still this inexplicable need to express
The buzzing
This phantom chatterbox
Does it ever stop?
Does everything start
With destruction?
When will you learn that the medicine doesn't work
Don't want to be lost in the system
Forgotten, forgotten, forgotten...
Stare at the ceiling
Terrorized by consciousness
The buzzing
The buzzing
The happiness industry
With its bland panaceas
Has done nothing for me
The buzzing
You're a piece of shit
You're a piece of shit
You need the enemy
You need someone to crush
Somebody weaker than you
To make you feel strong enough
Fuck democracy
Do as I say
Your ideas get in the way
You're nothing but a scrawny little piece of shit
You're gonna die anyway
You'll die alone
Lonely and cold
Honey I'm home
But I'm just animal bones
But I'm just animal bones
But I'm just animal bones
But I'm just animal bones
You need the enemy
You need someone to crush
Some fucker weaker than you
To make you feel strong enough
Fuck democracy
Do as I say
Your ideas get in the way
You're nothing but a scrawny little piece of shit
You're gonna die anyway
You'll die alone
Lonely and cold
Honey I'm home
But I'm just animal bones
I'm just animal bones
I'm just animal bones
I'm just animal bones
Son of a bitch!
You're a piece of shit
You're a piece of shit
You're a piece of shit (Body bag full of bones, you will die, you will die alone)
I hate everyone but you
Sometimes I even hate you too
When you make me see me as I am
I feel like Captain Beefheart sounds
I feel like Jackson Pollock looks
Something I don't wanna be but am
Understand me
Understand me
Understand me
Impulse bleeds control from me
Repulses what I try to be
Chaos seems like beauty in my head
I feel like Captain Beefheart sounds
I feel like Jackson Pollock looks
Every single thought is ripped to shreds
Understand me
Understand me
Understand me
Understand me
Understand me
Understand me
(Can't stand me) Understand me
(Can't stand me) Understand me
(Can't stand me) Understand me
With big maloney boots on, they're hassling me
Fairground's lonely banter a frightening scene
The sheer thrill of violence on a warm August night
I'd much rather run than get stuck with this fight
Hey, when the sun goes down, I'm in a seaside town
Hey, when the sun goes down, I'm in a seaside town
With a bunch of single tickets, the train is pulling out
Goodbye pier, town and autumn lights
The pungent smell of adrenalin
Seaside mafia met in town tonight
Hey, when the sun goes down, I'm in a seaside town
Hey, when the sun goes down, I'm in a seaside town
Hey, when the sun goes down, I'm in a seaside town
The quest is becoming a question
Answers are far out of reach
Caught in the rolling momentum
Watching the falling regime
Looking for calm but bewildered
Blueprints are ripped out and burned
Starting anew from the ashes
Hoping that lessons are learned
And chains
Chains will be broken
The photographs tell me it happened
But I don't remember a thing
Conditions that brought revolution
The clatter of metal on streets
You don't live here you survive this
It all comes apart at the seams
Mounting dis-articulation
Conditions increasingly weak
And chains
Chains will be broken
Setting the earthquakes in motion
There's no turning back alter this
Whatever has happened stays happened
It's the future I want to rephrase
I'm grateful tor time I've been given
Aware of the choices to make
The footprints I've left will be covered
By footsteps that I've yet to take
And chains
The truth is loose
The truth is loose
And it's coming after you
Your reckless youth, it's residue
It's catching up with you
This restlessness, this restlessness
Like you're at war with yourself
And your skin's on back to front
And you don't know what you want
Behold in me, behold in me
A bad example of free thought
Through endless nights I am a witness
Frescoes of the skull
Born over a grave
We count down the days
And fill in the space
To blacken the page
I want it erased
Blacken the page
A way with words, a way with words
You can't switch off from yourself
Shut it off, shut if off
Let the silence sing itself
I want this over
This rubbish
And I'm sure you feel the same
In a moment
I'll be finished
And all else will remain
Born over a grave
We count down the days
And fill in the space
To blacken the page
I want it erased
I tried to be part of the scene
Bought all the records and magazines
But all the kids they put me down
Laughed and said I was a clown
Said they didn't want me around
Made me feel so all alone
Now I'm back with a bang
I've got my own leather gang
And all of them are men
And denim's back again
And I am, and I am
I am a Denim Demon
Got my own congregation
I am a saint for seamen
And I am, and I am
I am a Denim Demon
You've got my penis steaming
And your asshole's screaming "Help!"
The day is black, the night is white
The disco sun, it shines so bright
Protruding buttocks left and right
I draw my sword, prepared for a fight
The stench of piss reveals your fright
Your asshole's in for a ride
Now I'm back with a bang
I've got my own leather gang
And all of them are men
And denim's back again
And I am, and I am
I am a Denim Demon
Got my own congregation
I am a saint for seamen
And I am, and I am
I am a Denim Demon
You've got my penis steaming
And your asshole's screaming "Help!"
Outside of society
Good head, good head
Outside of society
Good head, good head
Outside of society
Good head, good head
Outside of society
Good head, good head
(Terri/Eric)
Time's a mister crime's a mister
Mister right is sex and shelter
Sam says fists can make him feel like magic
Sam says bitch let Sam devour
The songs they seem so real
See the songs they speak to him
See the songs fists sinking, says he's sorry
Tears just only make the weak seem weaker
Sam says weak ones are the only ones to fight
Sam says sex is black and blue assault
And that salt makes better all the ladies
The songs they calm him down
See the songs they make a dove from a hound
See the songs can make even Sam sound sad
Down, down
Is this it?
Says his voice to the face in the payphone
And the face she seldom speaks, seldom lies
Says the face into the payphone
And the face she seldom speaks, seldom lies
Oh damn you killed our summer
And the weather seldom clears
Sam says baby let's be bygones
But the face she seldom hears, seldom heals
(Janet/Eric/Terri)

He knows how to make me feel tragedy
He's crafty
He senses many ways to quiet me
He's clever
Hurry up, hurry up he's calling
He's waiting for me down there
Hurry up, hurry up he's calling
He cannot wait to tell me
I will rescue you
He does not accept my reasoning
He's angry
He suspects his charms are failing him
He's anxious
Hurry up, hurry up he's calling
He's learned a perfect rhythm
Let me in, let me in he's sorry
(Terri)
I am painting here with the lights off
Making swirls with the paintbrush
You say-what could this be of?
We're laughing, neighbors they make fuss
Then you serenade me
Lucky lucky me
You are lagging behind in the dark wood
I turn, retrace all my footsteps
You leap out from a tall tree
I jump, a plot just to kiss me
I am waiting still as the nights are
Listening, practice your guitar
Watching all of the sky's stars
You and I had such good times
Summersun was on our minds
Stars were always shining
In our fantasy (fantasy)
Like romeo and juliette (juliette)
We fell in love with no regrets (no regrets)
I think you were the longest love
Was meant to be (meant to be)
So in love with you
I love you
So in love with you
Only you
I'm so in love with you
I will always be with you
As time goes bye our love grows strong
Many thought that we were wrong (we were wrong)
Will be you
that our move was never turning blue (turning blue)
So when I look into your eyes
The light I see is no surprise (no surprise)
No one could ever keep me
Away from you (away from you)
So in love...
Like Romeo and Juliettewe fell in love with no regrets
I think you were the longest love
Was meant to be
(Tribe)
Yesterday I was thinking
It's a good time to change
Progress the future
It's happening it's ok
One day like another
Something to mend
It's tempting to press on
When will I reach the end
Sometimes evenings
Problems two-fold
I know how to solve them
Why go overboard
It's big it's scary
It's been done before
I'm moving still moving moving
(Terri)
Well look who isn't here, didn't say good-bye
All that leaves is us without so much as a good reason why
And guess who isn't here, can you believe that guy?
A promise to him is like a million other lies
How long have we waited here, and who has the time
We can't sit and wait, we will feel like we were left behind
Was he so great a man, didn't say good-bye
Good riddance to him like this Armageddon
I'm tied to him Tell me where's the sea go
Like sea to sky In a blue sky
And I'm torn Tell me where does he go
In a blue sky
What's that you're saying there, do you think I'm blind?
I know what you think, you think I fell for him like quite a find
Well that's not it at all, no I'm just fine
(Greg)
Ticket in my hand I'm waiting
Thinking this will be the time
Imagine it will all be mine
Far away I'll drink and dine
Spend the night in cities open all the time
My eyes will shine
All in all I can't pretend
It would be wise to try my luck again
Deep inside I'm smiling just because I know
Uncle Sam he runs an honest show
All in all I can't pretend
It would be wise to try my luck again
The jakpot's up it's up again
It towers over mortal men
And just to think that if I win
I could alter who I am
And I know that in the end
If I don't win I'll try again
And I feel good I'm doing my share
The profits go to Medicare
And I'll be standing here in line
Spend my money bide my time
The jakpot's up it's up again
