Welcome to the AKUK Website

As you may have heard, the building where AK is the US is based was damaged by fire in the wee hours of 21st March. The fire spread from a neighbouring building, where two people died, and a lot of people who lived upstairs from us have been displaced. They are working hard to see what can be salvaged from what is a terrible situation all round. You can get information and updates here and here. There is now a fire relief fund which will go to support AK Press, 1984 Printing (which shares the office and warehouse space), and the displaced neighbours; all contributions large and small are very much appreciated. There has already been an amazing outpouring of solidarity, from cash donations to kind words and offers of help. We thank everyone for this incredible show of mutual aid; it's going to be a tough road ahead rebuilding, but our hearts are full of hope.
