Robert Clark "Bob" Seger (born May 6, 1945) is an American rock and roll singer-songwriter, guitarist and pianist.
As a locally successful Detroit-area artist, he performed and recorded as Bob Seger and the Last Heard and Bob Seger System throughout the 1960s. By the early 1970s, he had dropped the "System" from his recordings, and he continued to strive for broader success with other various bands. In 1973, he put together The Silver Bullet Band, an evolving group of Detroit-area musicians, with whom he became most successful. In 1976, he achieved a national breakout with the album Night Moves. On his studio albums, he also worked extensively with the Alabama-based Muscle Shoals Rhythm Section, which appeared on several of Seger's best-selling singles and albums.
A roots rocker with a classic raspy, shouting voice, Seger wrote and recorded songs that dealt with blue-collar themes and was an exemplar of heartland rock. Seger has recorded many hits, including "Night Moves", "Turn the Page", "We've Got Tonight", "Against the Wind", and "Like a Rock", and also co-wrote the Eagles' number-one hit "Heartache Tonight". His iconic recording of "Old Time Rock and Roll" was named one of the Songs of the Century in 2001.
Foy Vance is a musician from Bangor, County Down, Northern Ireland. His first single "Gabriel and the Vagabond" was released on 18 December 2006 on Wurdamouth Records. The single's B-side was "Indiscriminate Act of Kindness". The songs "Homebird" and "Gabriel and the Vagabond" were both featured in the second season of the US TV drama Grey's Anatomy.
"Indiscriminate Act of Kindness" is featured in a TV commercial for Great Ormond Street Hospital, which was aired in the UK up until Christmas of 2006. Foy often uses alternative tunings for his guitar, for example the song "Indiscriminate Act of Kindness" he uses the tuning CGDGCe.[citation needed] Foy has previously released two limited edition EPs on Wurdamouth Records, Live Sessions and the Birth of the Toilet Tour and Watermelon Oranges. His regular piano player is London based composer Jules Maxwell[citation needed].
On 21 July 2007 Foy's debut album Hope was released on Wurdamouth Records. The album track "Two Shades of Hope" contains a hidden recording of Foy's daughter Ella singing "You are my sunshine" at the end.

It's funny how I found
I'm still king of the hill
Where nobody dares to wander
I opened up my heart
To lighten up the load
And getting out from under
And I don't know what it is that they're saying
So I don't know if it's true
Bangor weighs down on you
I opened up my eyes
Straightened up the words
But nobody seems to wonder
And I don't know what it is that is stinging
and it might as well be true
Bangor weighs down on you
