U nastavku članka imate priliku pogledati i video zapis s utakmice. Također, pozivamo sve ljubitelje Lionsa s Makarske rivijere da dođu pružiti podršku našim momcima u srijedu, 10.12. u 17:45 h u Gradskoj dvorani u Makarskoj, kada igramo utakmicu 6. kola s KK Amforom. KK “DALMATIA LIONS” – KK “POLIČNIK” 73 : 65 (11:12;24:14;25:18;13:21) KK “Dalmatia Lions“: Špralja 12, Mustapić 8, Kevo 2, Bojčić 15, Korhamer 6, Egerić 11, Blagajić 4, Pejčinović, Šarić, Kerum 2, Brzulja 9, Labrović 4 KK “Poličnik”: Dugančić , Brković 16, A. A picturesque country, which is blessed by an unfathomable natural richness. Its charm, beside the coast full of bays, the warm watered fjords and reefs, high cliffs and the green hills is made up also by its artistic and historical values. On the Dalmatian Coast the romantic cities of Zadar and Trogir and the Saint Jacob cathedral of Sibenik make us remember to the past. In Split, one can take a look at emperor Diocletian’s unique palace. Among the natural beauties the crystal clear waters, waterfalls, caves and rapids of the Krka National Park are on top. Crikvenica introduce us to the mood of a spa in the monarchy, while the whole travel is crowned by the Queen of the Adriatic, Dubrovnik. Blue sky, glimmering sea, lovely islands, and wonderful landscape. They say that the heart of the traveling Odysseus was stolen not only by Nausicaa.

Top 10 Places in Dubrovnik & the Dalmatian Coast 10. Zadar Old Town ============== Zadar is a city in Croatia on the Adriatic Sea. Zadar is a historical center of Dalmatia as well as the seat of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Zadar. Zadar gained its urban structure in Roman times; during the time of Julius Caesar and Emperor Augustus, the town was fortified and the city walls with towers and gates were built. 9. Cathedral of St James, Sibenik ======================== Construction started in 1431, and it was not finished until 1536 due to Turkish wars. Several successive architects built it completely in stone in the 15th and 16th centuries, both in Gothic and in Renaissance style. It has a beautiful baptistery worth seeing it, and the curiosity is it has been built with stone only, without any kind of binder. 8. Kornati National Park =================== The Kornati archipelago of Croatia, also known as the Stomorski islands, is located in the northern part of Dalmatia, south from Zadar and west from Šibenik. Nacionalni Park Kornati is protecting the islands and their marine surroundings. The area covered by the National Park mostly coincides with the Donji Kornati, which includes the island of Kornat and the surrounding islets. 7. Diocletian's Palace, Split ====================== Diocletian built the massive palace in preparation for his retirement on 1 May 305 AD. It lies in a bay on the south side of a short peninsula running out from the Dalmatian coast, four miles from Salona, the capital of the Roman province of Dalmatia. The terrain slopes gently seaward and is typical karst, consisting of low limestone ridges running east to west with marl in the clefts between them. 6. Krka National Park ================= Krka National Park is one of the Croatian national parks, named after the river Krka that it encloses. It is located along the middle-lower course of the Krka River in central Dalmatia, in Šibenik-Knin county, downstream Miljevci area, and just a few kilometers northeast of the city of Šibenik. It was formed to protect the Krka River and is intended primarily for scientific, cultural, educational, recreational, and tourism activities. 5. Trogir ========= Trogir is a historic town and harbour on the Adriatic coast in Croatia, with a population of approximately 13,000. Today it is part of the greater Split metropolitan area or conurbation which numbers over 400,000 inhabitants. It is on the UNESCO World Heritage List as it is one of the best preserved medieval towns in Europe. It is a fascinating place to just wander and also contains a range of accommodation. 4. Korcula Town =============== Korčula is an island in the Adriatic Sea, in Southern Dalmatia, near Dubrovnik. According to some sources, Marco Polo may have been born here. Korčula is also the name of the eastern-most town on the island. There are many small villages, including Blato, Smokvica, Cara, Pupnat, Zrnovo, Lumbarda and Racisce all worth visiting if you have more time to spend. 3. Rector's Palace, Dubrovnik ======================= The Rector's Palace is a palace in the city of Dubrovnik that used to serve as the seat of the Rector of the Republic of Ragusa between the 14th century and 1808. It was built in the Gothic style, but it also has Renaissance and Baroque elements. A museum has operated in the palace since 1872. 2. Stradun street, Dubrovnik ====================== The Stradun (Placa) is the central street of the city of Dubrovnik and is the place where the old city comes to life. During the day, explore the shades of the perpendicular streets and alleys on its sides, and during the night, take walks up and down the Stradun with an ice-cream in hand. 1. Old City Walls =============== Dubrovnik is surrounded by City Walls which are 2 km long and for which it is famous all around the world. Through the history City Walls were protection from the enemy, today Dubrovnik City Walls brings the visitors from the whole world who want to see this city- museum. There are 3 entrances to the City Walls: on Stradun by the Pile gate, by fort Saint John's and at the Custom's House gate.

The beautiful island of Bali is full of vulcanic mountains and crater lakes. On its fertile soil rice, tea and coconut are grown. The main elements of the landscape are the emerald green ricefields, the untarnished jungle and the steep cliffs. Let us take a visit to one of the National Parks and meet the friendly Balinese people. The religion of the island is a unique mixture of Buddhism and Hinduism. The omnipresent temples and sanctuaries are important memories of the South-East Asian culture. Let us try the exotic hot dishes of the local cousine and the fresh juices of tropical fruits. Let us take a swim in the lukewarm, crystal clear Indian Ocean and try the most famous surfers’ paradise of the world. Let us buy some of the incredibly detailed works of the local sculptors and the painted silk clothes, listen to ’gamelan’ music and enjoy one of the ancient dances performed in colorful dresses, and finally take a look a the sun setting above the ’Tanah Lot’ sea sanctuary.
Vienna is a city of music and the arts, where the compositions of Haydn and Mozart ar as alive today as the melodies of the Strauss family or ’sramli’ music. From among the many sights of the ’imperial city’ the Hofburg, Schönbrunn and Belvedere stand out, but we can not forget the City Hall, the Stephansdom, or the Kunsthistorische Museum either. The ferris-wheel of the Prater, the buildings of Hundertwasser and the Danube Tower show us the modern side of the city. A visit to Vienna would not be full without a coach trip or a wine tour in Grinzing. The imposing streets fulfil us with the atmosphere of the Monarchy, while in the cafes we can taste the famous Sacher cake or the Viennese kapuziner. -------------- Watch more travel videos ► http://goo.gl/HYQdhg Join us. Thailand is a famous tourist destination due to its colorful landscape and nice people. The former Siam’s happy world awaits the tourists: colorful temples, monsateries, giant Buddha statues. Bangkok itself, a giant metropolis, is worth a travel, but there is a lot more the country has to offer: the forests of the Northern hills, the tribes living in the Golden Triangle, the elephant farms, the rice fields, the famous bridge on the river Kwai, the world of canals, romantic fishing villages, the monumental national park of Phang Nga, tropical islands, and the beaches shaded by palm trees bathing in the eternal sunshine.

noodls 2015-01-29Dalmatia (Croatian: Dalmacija, Croatian pronunciation: [dǎlmaːt͡sija]; see names in other languages) is a historical region on the eastern coast of the Adriatic Sea, in Croatia. It stretches from the island of Rab in the northwest to the Bay of Kotor in the southeast. The hinterland, the Dalmatian Zagora, ranges from fifty kilometers in width in the north to just a few kilometers in the south. The Dalmatian dog received its name from Dalmatia, as does the dalmatic, a Roman Catholic liturgical vestment worn by deacons and bishops.
The name Dalmatia derives from the name of the tribe of the Dalmatae, which is connected with the Illyrian word delme, dele in modern Albanian, meaning "sheep" in English.
In antiquity the Roman province of Dalmatia was much larger than the present-day Dalmatia County of Croatia, stretching from Istria in the north to historical Albania in the south. Dalmatia signified not only a geographical unit, but was an entity based on common culture and settlement types, a common narrow eastern Adriatic coastal belt, Mediterranean climate, sclerophyllous vegetation of the Illyrian province, Adriatic carbonate platform, and karst geomorphology.
