Warburg is a town in eastern North Rhine-Westphalia on the river Diemel near the three-state point shared by Hessen, Lower Saxony and North Rhine-Westphalia. It is in Höxter district and Detmold region. Warburg is the midpoint in the Warburger Börde.
The main town, consisting of the Old Town (Altstadt) and the New Town (Neustadt) and bearing the same name as the whole town, is a hill town. While the Old Town lies in the Diemel Valley, the New Town rises on the heights above the Diemel. The Warburg municipal area borders in the west on the Sauerland and in the northwest on the Eggegebirge foothills, while in the north and northeast the Warburger Börde abuts the town and in the south stretches the Diemel Valley.
Warburg consists of the following 16 centres:
Sir Siegmund George Warburg (30 September 1902 – 22 October 1982) was a German-born English banker. He was a member of the prominent Warburg family. He played a prominent role in the development of merchant banking.
He was born in the village of Seeburg, Germany (today part of Bad Urach), the only child of Georges Siegmund Warburg and Lucie.
Georges Siegmund Warburg and Lucie raised a young Siegmund Warburg on an estate (Uhenfels Castle) in Swabia in South West Germany far away from the main branch of the family, which operated the second largest bank in Hamburg, up north. Siegmund had a sincere and deep affection for his mother who taught him to have a critical and inquisitive mind.
In the period immediately before the Second World War he worked under cover for the Z Organisation, a highly secret offshoot of MI6/SIS, and reported impressively from Switzerland on his regular meetings with Hjalmar Schacht, then the president of the Nazi German Reichsbank and thus the most powerful German banker.
Max Moritz Warburg (5 June 1867 – 26 December 1946) was a German-Jewish banker and scion of the wealthy Warburg family based in Hamburg, Germany.
Max Warburg was one of seven children born to Moritz Warburg, the director of the family's Hamburg bank, and his wife Charlotte Oppenheim of the Oppenheim family, another prominent German-Jewish banking family.
His siblings were the art historian and cultural theorist, Abraham Warburg; the chief architect of the Federal Reserve Board of the United States Paul Warburg; Felix; Olga; Fritz; and Louisa.
He apprenticed in Frankfurt, Amsterdam, Paris, and London. From 1910 until 1938, he was director of M. M. Warburg & Co. in Hamburg, Germany. As head of that firm, he advised Kaiser Wilhelm II prior to World War I.
In the 1930s, despite the rise of the Nazi Party, Warburg felt there was hope for the future in Germany and tried to wait out the Nazi crisis. Beginning in 1933 he served on the board of the German Reichsbank under governor Hjalmar Schacht. He sold the bank because the 1935 Nuremberg laws set the framework and campaign of “Aryanization”. He then emigrated to the United States in 1938.
S. G. Warburg & Co. was a London-based investment bank. It was listed on the London Stock Exchange and was once a constituent of the FTSE 100 Index. The firm was acquired by Swiss Bank Corporation in 1995 and ultimately became a part of UBS.
This bank was founded in 1946 by Siegmund Warburg, a member of the Warburg family, a prominent German-Jewish banking family and Henry Grunfeld, a former industrialist in the German steel industry. Warburg and Grunfeld, who was also Jewish, had fled Nazi Germany in the 1930s.
S.G. Warburg and Co. was recognized for its pioneering mergers and takeover work in the UK in the 1960s, including the first ever hostile takeover in the UK and the first ever Eurobond issue, which fostered the new Eurodollar market. A significant event in the firm's rise to prominence was the acquisition of Seligman Bros. in 1957; through this, Warburgs gained a place on the Accepting Houses Committee composed of the seventeen top merchant banks with access to cheap capital backed by the Bank of England.

That's right you say. Jacob Schiff and Max Warburg funded the Russian Revolution. Leon Trotsky (Lev Davidovich Bronshtein) in the lead. Jacob Schiff and Max Warburg educator 10,000 Yiddish-speaking American revolutionaries and they sent to Russia

Say hello to the decentralized economy -- the blockchain is about to change everything. In this lucid explainer of the complex (and confusing) technology, Bettina Warburg describes how the blockchain will eliminate the need for centralized institutions like banks or governments to facilitate trade, evolving age-old models of commerce and finance into something far more interesting: a distributed, transparent, autonomous system for exchanging value. Master of P h o t o g r a p h y: John Cimon Warburg (1867-1931); British photographer, a pioneer of colour photography. John Cimon WARBURG was able to devote his time wholeheartedly to photography because bad asthma stopped him from working in a full time job and a private income gave him economic freedom. He excelled at the autochrome process, giving lectures and writing extensively on the subject. Although never a member of The Linked Ring, he seems to have been something of a linchpin in the photographic world. http://www.luminous-lint.com/app/photographer/John_Cimon__Warburg/A/ http://www.scienceandsociety.co.uk/results.asp?txtkeys1=John+Cimon+Warburg M u s i c: O Mio Caro (Puccini aria). Blockchain holds much promise for the manufacturing industry says Nitesh Bansal, Senior Vice President and Head of Manufacturing Practice – Americas and Europe, Infosys. In this video, he elaborate on how the technology can help industries like aviation, defense and others. These industries manufacture large machinery which travel across geographies and their installation manuals need to be accessible in a number of languages. Blockchain can better manage documentation related to this complex variety of machinery and enables stakeholders to quickly access documentation and install, maintain and repair as needed. Being a trust based platform, blockcahin ensures security and traceability of sensitive documentation in the manufacturing industry as well. Watch Blockchain: What's In It For Th...

We drove two hundred miles
To play to fifteen kids
Who didn't appreciate the sound
(play hardcorrre!)
Our heads were pointed to the ground
Got promised some money
But the show we played was free
Kids started to leave.
And my fingers start to bleed
We'll never be on Fuse TV
We'll never be on the cover of AP Magazine
So what?
I guess we're taking a chance.
And I guess I'm bold.
Because I'm gonna teach this dance.
I'll leave it all behind
The promises and memories, the thoughts of another time and
I'll make it! Even on my own
You said to me I'd never change,
But on the road I'll never be alone
We drove three hundred miles
To play to 200 kids
Who wanted just to hear more
(play an encore!)
My back is feeling kind of sore
Someone took all the money
that I think we'll never see
Then Clint quit the band
And all the blame comes back to me
We'll never be on MTV
We'll never be on the cover of the Rolling Stone magazine
So what?
I guess we're taking a chance.
And I guess I'm bold.
Because I'm gonna teach this dance.
I'll leave it all behind
The promises and memories
the thoughts of another time and
I'll make it! Even on my own
You said to me I'd never change
But on the road, I'll never be alone
Never be alone!
Twenty Minutes in, I broke another string
What am I doing here? I can't even sing!
I can't stop this rushing sensation!
Stop dreaming start living your real life now!
