Mexico (i/ˈmɛksɨkoʊ/; Spanish: México, IPA: [ˈmexiko] ( listen)), officially the United Mexican States (Spanish: Estados Unidos Mexicanos (help·info)), is a federal constitutional republic in North America. It is bordered on the north by the United States of America; on the south and west by the Pacific Ocean; on the southeast by Guatemala, Belize, and the Caribbean Sea; and on the east by the Gulf of Mexico. Covering almost two million square kilometres (over 760,000 sq mi), Mexico is the fifth largest country in the Americas by total area and the thirteenth largest independent nation in the world. With an estimated population of over 113 million, it is the eleventh most populous country and the most populous Spanish-speaking country. Mexico is a federation comprising thirty-one states and a Federal District, the capital city.
In Pre-Columbian Mexico many cultures matured into advanced civilizations such as the Olmec, the Toltec, the Teotihuacan, the Zapotec, the Maya and the Aztec before the first contact with Europeans. In 1521, Spain conquered and colonized the territory from its base in México-Tenochtitlan, which was administered as the Viceroyalty of New Spain. This territory would eventually become Mexico as the colony's independence was recognized in 1821. The post-independence period was characterized by economic instability, the Mexican-American War and territorial cession to the United States, a civil war, two empires and a domestic dictatorship. The latter led to the Mexican Revolution in 1910, which culminated with the promulgation of the 1917 Constitution and the emergence of the country's current political system. Elections held in July 2000 marked the first time that an opposition party won the presidency from the Institutional Revolutionary Party.

Went sailin on a voyage
Over through the mountain and the sea
Heard the music that was comin with originality
Seen the waves
And when they're crashin with the perfect melody
That's the reason
That I'm chillin with my girl down by the beach
I got my lover, got my stereo
It's all that really matters
When you're thinkin about it all
I got my guitar and I got someplace to go
And that's the reason I'm chillin
On a Sunday afternoon in Mexico
In Mexico
Down in Mexico it goes something like...
The day is coming when people from the west to the east
Gonna be livin in harmony the war is gonna cease
Everybody all they want is just a little bit of peace
That's the reason that I'm chillin when I'm diving off the reef
I got my brother and I got my stereo
It's all that really matters
When you're thinkin about it all
And how come all the people there already know
And that's the reason I'm chillin
On a Sunday afternoon in Mexico
Yo we the biggest and the baddest most happenest rappers
Keeping it clapping, moving and shaking/ Bending and breaking their backs
So when they hear it
It draws them closer
Like it's supposed to
Be the only thing they know
That ain't never keeping them sober
So intoxicated, we levitated from the get go
And when it hits you feel no pain
Never wanting to let go
So breathe slow, in and out
'Cause that's what it's all about
Time to hear the music let me hear you shout
Day before my birthday me and my cousin Dave
Drove his truck down to the border
And we hitchhiked the rest of the way
Down through Mexico
In the beginning we didn't have much luck
So we took all our things up upon a bus
It cost us three dollars just to get half way
Down through Baja California
We spent the night in a cheap hotel
Fourteen dollars, didn't sleep so well
And the morning came with bells on
And I took to the road with my cousin
Down through Mexico
We hitched a ride from an old pickup
And climbed in with the chickens in the back of the truck
I got to Tijuana by the middle of the day
Just in time to celebrate my twenty-first birthday
Chorus:
Well I'm a million miles away from home
And I can't find a telephone
My folks don't even know where I am
Hell I don't even know where I am
Well I'm a million miles away from home
And I can't find a telephone
My folks don't even know where I am
Hell I don't even know where I am
We got something to eat and then we took to the bars
A bottle of tequila and two fat cigars
We painted the town some sort of red
At some point a train drove through my head
Down in Mexico
Well at Five-AM we're still on our feet
A cop pulls over to the side of the street
He said something to me I couldn't understand
And threw me in the wagon, took the bottle from my hand
Well I'm still in the wagon at Six-AM
And I don't have a clue where I am
I don't speak Spanish all that well
I'm out of cash, and I'm drunk as hell
(Chorus)
Day after my birthday
Me and my cousin Dave
Drove his truck home from the border
Through California
Way down here you need a reason to move
Feel a fool running your stateside games
Lose your load, leave your mind behind, Baby James
Oh, Mexico
It sounds so simple I just got to go
The sun's so hot I forgot to go home
Guess I'll have to go now
"Americano" got the sleepy eye
But his body's still shaking like a live wire
Sleepy "Señorita" with the eyes on fire
Oh, Mexico
It sounds so sweet with the sun sinking low
Moon's so bright like to light up the night
Make everything all right
Baby's hungry and the money's all gone
The folks back home don't want to talk on the phone
She gets a long letter, sends back a postcard; times are hard
Oh, down in Mexico
I never really been so I don't really know
Oh, Mexico
I guess I'll have to go
Oh, Mexico
I never really been but I'd sure like to go
Oh, Mexico
God, Zeus, Allah, Buddha.
Bob Dylan on a motor scooter.
Allah, Buddha, God, Zeus.
Gotta get me a red caboose.
Buddha, God, Zeus, Allah.
Mexico in a low Impala.
Zeus, Allah, Buddha, God.
Eco suda pinchay a nada.
We love him.
We love him.
We love him.
Zeus, Allah, Buddha, God.
Eco suda la ching ga.
God, Zeus, Allah, Buddha.
Bob Dylan on a motor scooter.
We love him.
Mexico
See the girls playing in the fountains, Joyous laughs and wide smiles,
While all the time you feel you're fading, same old company you sigh,
Out where they say the great fire bellows,
I'm out here in Mexico.
From our view you see the giant called Popo,
The sleeping lady lying next to him,
The language it seems to flow as beautiful as the setting sun drawing in,
And I'm out here, in Mexico.
Out through the jungle heat we drove, through the cacti shrubs and the
Blinding skies above,
And as the night draws to a close,
Mas Cervezas, howling dogs and the glow of darkened street,
Can I get your soul cleansed? Or some shoe shine for those feet?
Out here in southern Mexico.
The catholic boys and girls make love in their cars.
Tramps drunk down the street searching for stars, por la noche so they say.
A sudden sigh and I dream you are near, a flash of light and my conscience
Is clear.
I'm out in Mexico.
The rich flaunt their wealth like medals on their chest and the poor stay
On the floor pleading for little left,
What else could be in store, out here in Mexico.
His mind is no clearer as to what has become of the purest form of ecstasy
That has ever been known.
My mind it takes a while then sets just like the sun.
Mexico

Juanita
Du muát nicht traurig sein
ging die Zeit auch so schnell vorbei
Doch ein Sommertraum
der bleibt uns treu.

Mexico
Perhaps I've never tried that hard to see
The palm trees swinging lazy in the breeze
Perhaps I looked away too many times
Just ignoring all the signs
Riding high on a temporary vibe
Life and love are messy most of the time
Practical minds breeding practical lives
Leave it all behind
The ocean breeze, the palm trees
And the sunshine
Excuses that a pair of eyes can't hide
Perhaps this paradise is my decline
Riding high on a temporary vibe
Life and love are messy most of the time
If we were sober we would know
That this is real beyond a feeling
And I'd never let you go
If we were sober we would know
That this is real beyond a feel
I should have never let you go
Down in Mexico
We could be drinking cheap tequila
en La Playa Escondida
And it sure is good to see the sea again
We both know what this could be
Or, pretend that it's not happening
Float forever, take the trip with me
Live forever in a postcard
Where it lives and breathes
In blue and green
In the roaring of a gentle breeze
We could be drinking cheap tequila
en La Playa Escondida
And it sure is good to see the sea again
We should be drinking margaritas
In a bar in Buena Vista
Mexico
So I mash on the gas I we drive through the desert toward a mexico sunset heading where ever
Sinaloa caborca Tijuana
Say hello to a new life forget about the drama
On the corner stick up kids for a dollar
Rob you for your watch your suit and your wallet
White collar criminals is running wall street that’s why im saying good buy to all these things
So I’m in Tijuana eating Bar B Q iguana leaning against the wall of voodoo
When I met me a stranger and said how do you do
He said I know you, heard about you on a Mexican radio
Shook his hands and then away I go
I’m in another country my life’s televised disguised
But still recognizable I guess
Driving on the road leaving nothing but dust
Under my seats a gun and a bullet proof vest
If I have to shoot it out then their aint no turning back
Lose track of time
Force-fed my mind
My life can rewind
Damn I chose crime
Looking in the mirror I leave nothing behind
I see nothing in the future.
[Hook:]
I know these dreams seem make believe
But I don't think we should let em go
Can't promise you Rome or St. Tropez
But one day we might make it to Mexico
[Verse 1: Natti]
Baby doll can I call in a favor
If you trust me, I trust you
We must to
Get past times we cuss through
While we stand swearin like we in front of judge who
Evers on TV, you know what I mean
Cus whatever you seen be it debit or green
Natti came up on from chasin a dream
But yet, like a lil free Red Corevette
Sweet on the streets, worth less when it's wrecked
Work, stress, and sweat, this life is a test but
Believe it's gonna be all gravy
We be runnin in the sun to lay where it's shady
But not fast, fun filled with laughs
Can't take a trip to fall runnin to first class
How I wish the woods would up and disperse cash
Til' they do it's me and you and where I'm taking you last
Lil' bathin suit, me grabbin yo ass
Past borders with waters as clear as your glass, so
Let's go down Mexico, where the
Reefer is cheaper and the sex is slow, c'mon
[Verse 2: Deacon]
How about sex on the beach? Right
Dos Equis? Right, under red light
Special, sidewinder track through sand
Swim a lil' bit, dance when we back on land
Darlin, whatever floats your boat
From Kentucky well water to whale watchin off a back porch
Smoked out rotisserie turning
A lil tequila, some kissin and burnin
But anyway, That's after words are said
The ring bearers, the flower girls, the I Thee Weds
But that's miles away like your smile today
I'm feeling lower than the Nile in May
Cause all I know is I don't know and you don't either
All I know is that we need us
And plus we know, that I ain't paid
Yet all we think is I'm gone lead us
Together, Forever
Girl that's a pressure unmeasured
No lesser your treasure
Cause even the Reverend would tell ya
That heaven's no better
Heaven's no better, than you
[Bridge: Kno]
Let me get my David Bowie on real quick, check it
I wanna, I wanna
Oh oh ole oh
(Mexico)
A dusty road made of cobblestone
The sun goes down, you're here alone
The day is hot, the night gets hotter
Don'tcha quench you're thirst on the local water?
Oh, no
Yeah, the music's sweet like a cool Santana
You wring the sweat from your red bandanna
Like a flash from the past through the pale green glow
This ain't Hollywood, this is Mexico
I think I'm goin' down
I wanna go, I wanna go
Oh oh ole oh
(Mexico)
There's a time to stay
There's a time to go home
I wanna go, I wanna go
Oh oh ole oh
(Mexico)
You cross the borderline
With your best fandango
I wanna, oh oh ole oh, Mexico
I really wanna go down
I wanna, oh oh ole oh, Mexico
I wanna, I wanna go to Mexico
I wanna, I wanna go to Mexico
I wanna, I wanna go to Mexico
I wanna, I wanna go to Mexico
I wanna, oh oh ole oh, Mexico
I really wanna go down
A smoky room, senorita
Spinnin' around on straight Tequila
It's all too fast when you're movin' slow
This ain't Hollywood, this is Mexico
And my head is spinnin' round
I wanna go, I wanna go
Oh oh ole oh
(Mexico)
There's a time to stay
There's a time to go home
I wanna go, I wanna go
Oh oh ole oh
(Mexico)
Cross the borderline
With your best fandango
I wanna go, I wanna go
Oh oh ole oh, Mexico
I wanna go, I wanna go
Oh oh ole oh, Mexico
I wanna go, I wanna go
Oh oh ole oh, Mexico
I really wanna go down

(To be alone is to live in a frightening world. A place
where fears and insecurities can eat away like acid at
the confused mind. There are many such young people
today - afterthoughts of broken homes and selfish,
unthinking parents. The young can grow like seeking
roots in tortured, twisted ways.)
Been a whole lot easier since the bitch left town
Been a whole lot happier without her face around
Nobody upstairs gonna stomp and shout
Nobody at the back door gonna throw my laundry out
She hold the shotgun while you dote-se-doe
She want one man made of Hercules and Cyrano
Been a whole lot easier since the bitch is gone
Little Miss, Little Miss Can't Be Wrong
Little Miss, Little Miss Little Miss Can't Be Wrong
Ain't no body gonna bow no more when you sound your gong
Little Miss, Little Miss Little Miss Can't Be Wrong
Whatcha go'n do to get into another one of these here
rock 'n' roll songs
Other people's thoughts they ain't your hand-me-downs
Would it be so bad to simply turn around
You cook so well, all nice and French
You do your brain surgery too, with a monkey wrench
Little Miss, Little Miss Little Miss Can't Be Wrong
Ain't no body gonna bow no more when you sound your gong
Little Miss, Little Miss Little Miss Can't Be Wrong
Whatcha go'n do to get into another one of these here
rock 'n' roll songs
I hope them cigarettes are gonna make you cough
Hope you hear this song and it pissed you off
I take that back: hope you're doing fine
And if I had a dollar, I might give you ninety-nine
Little Miss, Little Miss Little Miss Can't Be Wrong
Ain't no body gonna bow no more when you sound your gong
Little Miss, Little Miss Little Miss Can't Be Wrong
Whatcha go'n do to get into another one of these here
rock 'n' roll songs
If I were a boy
Even just for a day
Id roll out of bed in the morning
And throw on what I wanted and go
Drink beer with the guys
And chase after girls
Id kick with who I wanted
And I'd never get confonted for it
Cause theyd stick up for me.
[Chorus]
If I were a boy
I think I could understand
How it feels to love a girl
I swear Id be a better man.
Id listen to her
Cause I know how it hurts
When you lose the one you wanted
Cause hes taken you for granted
And everything you had got destroyed If I were a boy
I would just turn off my phone
Tell everyone it's broken
So they think that I was sleeping alone
Id put myself first
And make the rules as I go
Cause I know that shed be faithful
Waitin for me to come home
[Chorus]
Its a little too late for you to come back
Say it's just a mistake
Think Id forgive you like that
If you thought I would wait for you
You thought wrong
But youre just a boy
You dont understand (Yeah you dont understand)
How it feels to love a girl
Someday you wish you were a better man
You dont listen to her
You dont care how it hurts
Until you lose the one you wanted
Cause youve taken her for granted
And everything you had got destroyed
She wants to go to Mexico
Guess I'm happy where I am
I'm talking to a boy who's ready to go
And he says he's got a master plan
I'll be alright on my own
Don't worry about me
Pack your bags, your alibis
And do whatever's gonna set you free
I never thought I'd be living without you
There's better things to do
Than doing something new
Just because its new
And takes away the blues
For a week or two
Before it comes back to haunt you
Thinkin' about flying to the gold desert
Where the sun never ceases to shine
Where the water is green
And the girls are blue
And the atmosphere is mine
I'll sing my songs for a couple of francs
And maybe a bottle of wine
Drinking the remnants of the Riviera
Dancing in the scape of time
I never thought I'd be living without you
There's better things to do
Than doing something new
Just because its new
And takes away the blues
For a week or two
Riding along with a smile and a gun
And a trunk full of beers and the boys
Got a tear in the hood and the sun feels good
And Dave's on the waves making noise
In a '68 Caddy I bought from my Daddy
We ran all the cops of sight
Sliding through brush and the heat and the dust
And the desert's a shimmering light
Check this out, yes, oh my Lord
There's a girl cruise by in a flatbed Ford
And she purrs and she sighs and I'm hounddog dumb for her puss cat eyes
Hell, step on the gas, come and get trashed
Here we go, Mexico
Senoritas, we got the cash
Here we go, Mexico
Hell, step on the gas, come and get trashed
Here we go, Mexico
Senoritas, we got the cash
We roll into town, take a good look around
Then hang at the bar for a while
There's a lady, she's cute wearing cowboy boots
And flashing a latin smile
Check this out, yes, oh my Lord
It's the girl, I saw in that old black Ford
And she sighs and she purrs
And she squeeze me again with her silver spurs
Step on the gas, come and get trashed
Here we go, Mexico
Senoritas, we got the cash
Here we go, Mexico
Hell, step on the gas, come and get trashed
Here we go, Mexico
Senoritas, we got the cash
Que bonita, hola. Rumba caliente par gozar (Repeat 4 times)
In a mescaline trance, lovers tequila dance
To the earth and the gods and the skies
All the world turns around and my head fills with sound
And there's light and there's life in my eyes
Where do you go when it rains in Mexico?
Where do you hide when the bottom falls outta the sky?
And who do you love when the one you love's been lovin' someone else?
It ain't no fun tryin' to have fun all by yourself
So where do you go when it rains in Mexico?
I got a watered down Margarita stuck in the sand
The little umbrella's doin' the best that it can
Now everybody said, "This is the place to set your spirit free"
Well, I came down and the clouds came out and they poured down on me
So I gotta wring out my shirt when I get back to the hut
I gotta find a place to dry off my coconut
There's a pretty little brown-eyed girl flaggin' a taxi cab
She's alone so she might know, maybe I should ask, hey, hey, hey
Where do you go when it rains in Mexico?
Where do you hide when the bottom falls outta the sky?
And who do you love when the one you love's been lovin' someone else?
It ain't no fun tryin' to have fun when you're all by yourself
So where do you go when it rains in Mexico?
She supplied the transportation, I supplied the rum
When we got to the destination, I gave her some rum
Now I know where to go when it rains in Mexico
Where to hide when the bottom falls outta the sky
And who to love when the one you love's been lovin' someone else
It ain't been fun tryin' to have fun all by myself
So where do you go when it rains in Mexico?
Where do you go when it rains in Mexico?
Where do you go when it rains in Mexico?
TV and all of your old CDs Went away in box from 21th street It´s funny how we talk nowadays much more Then you came to me and said "oh that´s odd"

Let´s go to Mexico
It's been five years since we last talked Now I think I'm ready to walk

Hey!
Well, morning out of bed, the carpet's red, well I know
The flood has started
The day goes so slow in below my head
I should have stayed in bed
My love, well I have lost
I paid the cost
I know I gotta get ahead
We'll board a rendesvoux, the Spanish few
Well I drew a picture perfect path
So I die, We'd run
Though I haven't seen it yet viva Mexico
Then I'd lie in my bed, in my bed
I've been battered, you've been shuttered, we're both in tutters
I know it doesn't matter
Well, my days and nights are cluttered
Well I've discovered I'm unkind
I think I better find
My love ?? and we could swear that we'd run
To a better place
So come round I'll blow this town
Drinks are bound tip you down ??
Your hand in my hand
So I'd die, we'd run
Though I haven't seen it yet viva Mexico
Then I'd lie in my bed, once again
So I'd die, we'd run
Though I haven't seen it yet viva Mexico
And I'd lie in my bed, in my bed
Well, morning out of bed, the carpet's red
Well, I know a flood has started
?? and we could swear that we'd run
And find a better place
So I'd die, we'd run
Though I haven't seen it yet viva Mexico
Then I'd lie in my bed, once again
So I'd die, we'd run
Though I haven't seen it yet viva Mexico
Then I'd lie in my bed, in my bed, once again
In my bed, once again
Sometimes I'm so weary
Sometimes I'm so low
If not for your sweet love
I think I would move to Mexico
TV shows a city
And everything is down
Find your friends and families
'Neath this earthquake shaken town
Mexico, Mexico
Down the highway, down the line
'Cross that border
Back in time to Mexico
Sometimes I'm so weary
How can I complain?
All they got is a cardboard box
To sleep in when it rains
Who will tell his mother?
Who will take the news?
Who will bring his [Incomprehensible] is gone?
Black and all her blues
Mexico, Mexico
Down the highway, down the line
'Cross that border
Back in time to Mexico
Sometimes I'm so weary
I must be insane
Ship me down to Mexico
And show me 'bout some pain
Mexico, Mexico
Down the highway, down the line
'Cross that border
Back in time to Mexico
Can't You See
I'm Filled With Nothing
Through and Through
Hollowed From Head To Toe
Worst Of All
I Have No Fellings Anymore
Help Me Be Whole Again
Without Your Love I Feel So Empty
Without Your Love I Know I'm Nothing
Bury Me!
My Heart Stopped Beating Long Ago
Mexico, uoh, Mexico, ouh
Mexico, uoh, Mexico, ouh
Mexico
El destino me pinto el camino
I want a trip to Mexico, with a pretty girl, who feels so alone
but before that, I'll tell you about a western girl and and Bulgarian guy
He drives his blue old Citroen, he is the next international superman
She never likes the countryside, she loves big cities - they are so full of life
She said: What is the point of being shy when you are not the modern kind of guy
Why don't we try to celebrate? He looked at her and could not concentrate
He will go fishing with the lads again, she goes to fancy parties with rich men
She feels like submarine, my favourite vegetable is aubergine
Will their lives meet again, nobody knows, we are just human beings
He still drives his blue Citroen, he wants to be like Kurt Cobain
I wanted trip to Mexico, instead of this I went to Istanbul
Recorded songs with friends of mine, we drank a lot, it was really really fun
What is going through your head? I don't understand what you really want,
can you comprehend the fact I am not sure what you say any more
What is into your mind, you don't have to experiment with my life
it sounds obscene I know, but why don't you undress yourself and tell me what the fuck is going on
Tell me baby where I went wrong, tell me something stupid I'll never want to know
Tell me what I want to be, tell me everything you think about me
What is into your mind, I'm not going to spend my entire life thinking of what
you want to tell me with your philosophical gibberish
You could see me reaching
So why couldn't you have met me half way?
You could see me bleeding
And you would not put pressure on the wound.
You only think about yourself...
You only think about yourself...
You better bend before I go
on the first train to Mexico.
You could see me breathing
And you still kept your hand over my mouth.
You could feel me seething
But you just turned your nose up in the air.
You only think about yourself...
You only think about yourself...
You better bend before I go
I didn't know you weren't supposed to drink the water
I never knew it was so hard to get through south of that border
If I had any idea it took that many pesos to make a dollar
I'd have moved down there
Yeah, I'd probably been a millionare
Rosa at the bayou told me Sinco de Mayo is their fourth of July
And you don't sneak up on a jabanero pepper and just take a bite
Rosa says the sunsets on some of them beaches that'll make you cry
I said, is that right?
Cuz up until tonight
All I knew about Mexico
Was him with my baby on the back of that Harley
Passin' every car as fast as they could go
And all I know about pretty a white sand
Is she's probably on it now sharing a little beach towel
With her "left me for another" man
Or working on a tan I bet
While I'm here trying to forget
All I know about Mexico
And I've heard some pretty scary stuff about them jails down in Tijuana
And it ain't nothin' like the US if you get busted
And I hear he's all hauked up on that marijuana
I can't help but worrying about her being down there when he leaves her
And you know he's gonna leave her
Any day now, yeah, the cops will come around
Wanna know what I've known
All I know about Mexico
Was him with my baby on the back of that Harley
Passin' every car as fast as they could go
And all I know about a pretty white sand
Is she's probably on it now sharing a little beach towel
With her "left me for another" man
Oh she's working on her tan I bet
While I'm here trying to forget
All I know about Mexico
All I knew about Mexico
Was him with my baby on the back of that Harley
Passin' every car just as fast as they could go
And all I know about a pretty white sand
Is she's probably on it now sharing her little beach towel
With her "left me for another" man
Oh she's working on her tan I bet
While I'm here trying to forget
All I know about Mexico
One more promise soaked in rye whiskey
One more word that bites the dust on some bar room floor
Im the man who travels round doing...
Hey, we dont talk about that
Ill get the favor done for you
No one will ever know
Then Ill run to mexico
Cold as stone my eyes fall on another
Just another name thats runnin through my mind
At your request Ill do whatever you require
You give me the light, I supply the fire
Then Ill burn for mexico
Pretty senorita, she lies to me
Smiles sweetly in the morning when I wake up cold sweating
cause some day Ill be in the sights
One more call when someone finds a target
Only guarded whispers never mentions names
Money on the line will be just fine...
Youll never be involved
And even if a clue shows youll never know
And if we go to Mexico,
will it get better?
And all the cracks inside this love
will they heal in the bright weather
I think it's time to have a go
Before I met her I was low
and she saved me
all the stupid little crimes
a thousand million different times
and she forgave me
promise me this will get better
and it will heal in the bright weather
and as long as were together
I don't mind
I don't mind
And if we go to Mexico,
will it be a new leaf?
We'll watch the evening disappear
Into the arms of the night thief
Beside a river of sin
I was trying to dive in
and she saved me
forgetting to remember
one day in December
and she forgave me
promise me this will get better
and it will heal in the bright weather
and as long as were together
I don't mind
ohh me - México
Desde Tijuana a Cancún
de Chihuahua a Tulún
Acapulco a Veracruz
éxotico y mágico es México
Y cuando miras el sol...
acuerdate de México y cuando estés frente al mar
acuerdate de México
Way down here, you need a reason to move
Feel a fool running your stateside games
Lose your load, leave your mind behind
Baby, James
Oh, Mexico
It sounds so simple, I just got to go
The sun's so hot, I forgot to go home
I guess I'll have to go now
Americano's got the sleepy eyes
But his body's still shakin' like a live wire
Senorita with her eyes on fire
Don't you know
Oh, Mexico
It sounds so sweet with the sun sinkin' low
The moon so bright likes to light up the night
Make everything alright
Baby's hungry and the money's all gone
The folks back home don't want to talk on the phone
She gets a long letter and sends back a postcard
Times are hard
Oh, down in Mexico
I've never really been, so I don't really know
Oh, Mexico
I guess I'll have to go now
Oh, Mexico
I've never really been but I'd sure like to go
Oh Mexico
I guess I'll have to go now
Talkin' 'bout Mexico
Little honkey tonk out in Mexico
South of Margaritaville, I've been told
Andale, Andale, vamonos
Oh, yeah, let's load this cast of characters
On that boat and head south
Oh, yeah we got a wind at our back
Smooth sailin' all the way
We got old Nordstrom, he's our chef
He's down in that galley cookin' up a Barometer Soup for us
We gotta stop at our offshore Bank of Bad Habits
And make a deposit or a withdrawal
I don't know which one, y'know
We're goin' down to the land of the Mayans
Yeah, they were here long before the cavemen were
Cavemen in blue jeans oh, excuse me, that's not Politically Correct
That's cave persons in blue jeans
Skip, Wiley and Skink, we may run into them
Up to no good down there
Watch out for those barefoot children
Stompin' around in those puddles
Oh, yeah, and that remittance man
He's just goin' round and round
He may run into 'ol Frank Bama
Cruisin' around in the Hemisphere Dancer
Where there's wrong there's always right
And that's what's kept us on this road tonight
Sand as far as the eye can see
But ain't it funny how the world is just like you and me
And come with me to Mexico
We can laugh at the love we used to know
Yeah, I'm ridden with a fear
But please answer when I call you dear
My friends think that we're all wrong
Another muse for another tragic song
But whoever wrote a plan
Was a fool when it comes to a woman and a man
Come with me to Mexico
You can drive and I can take it slow
Yeah, I'm ridden with a fear
But please answer when I call you dear
I should hate you but I don't
You should love me but you won't
Isolation is my plan
Woman's gonna make a man
I should hate you but I don't
You should love me but you won't
Isolation is my plan
Woman's gonna make a man
I should hate you but I don't
You should love me but you won't
Isolation is my plan
Woman's gonna make a man
I should hate you but I don't
You should love me but you won't
Isolation is my plan
Come with me to Mexico
Stop listening to that damn radio
Yeah, I'm ridden with a fear
But please answer when I call you dear
You come with me to Mexico
You can drive and I can take it slow
Yeah, I'm ridden with a fear
Come gather round me people, here's a story you never heard
'bout me and my friends and some things that occured
We thought we'd get some money, we thought that we might go
Spend a weekend pleasant down in mexico
I was workin at mcdonalds, doin' the latenight run
When a car pulled up the drive thru and pointed out a gun
Said give us all your money and three big macs to go
I stuffed them all in a bag and I ducked down below
Well the boss got angry when he found out I didn't call the police
I guess I was kinda nervous, there was a warrant out on me
Concernin' some jaywalkin tickets I couldn't afford to pay
Needless to say I got the axe that same day
Well me bein' outta work just then I didn't wanna go home
My mom said if I lost this job I'd have to go out on my own
So I went over to dave's house and got really stoned
Called up some girls but none o' them were home
Steve came over and he brought some alcohol
We're all gettin really depressed just starin' at the wall
Thought we'd get some money, we thought that we might go
Spend a weekend pleasant down in mexico
Steve's dad had a huntin' rifle and we went and picked it up
And we stopped into the 7-11 to try our luck
We raised up that huntin' rifle but the counter guy just laughed
As he pulled out an uzi we turned and hauled ass
We were runnin so fast 'til we came to the mcdonalds where I used to work
We walked up to the drive thru and gave my boss a jerk
Said give us all your money and three big macs to go
And suck on this you weasel we're goin to mexico
Down south we all got really wasted, dave got a case of the runs
We're all really hungover and gettin low on funds
Dave and steve called their parents and took the bus back home
Here comes another song about Mexico
Well I just can't help myself, I lost my old lady
Got my lures, got my bobbers
Now I'm gonna go
Got off in the wrong direction
Found a hooker and lost my erection
So I had to lie
In the letter to the boys back home
(Had to lie, had to lie)
Well the good guys and the bad guys
Well they never work past noon around here
They sit side by side in the cantinas
Talk to senoritas and drink warm beer
And here comes the same old verse about Mexico
We just can't help ourselves, we lost our old ladies
Got our lures, got our bobbers
Now we're gonna go
Got off in the wrong direction
Found some hookers and lost our erections
So we had to lie
In the letter to the boys back home
(Had to lie, in the letter to the boys back home)
Well the good guys and the bad guys
Well they never work past noon around here
They sit side by side in the cantinas
Talk to senoritas and drink warm beer
Now the good guys and the bad guys
Well they never work past noon around here
They sit side by side in the cantinas
Talk to senoritas and drink warm beer
Now the good guys and the bad guys
Well they never work past noon around here
They sit side by side in the cantinas
Records on the floor.
I'm giving back whats yours
remember us last weekend
dancing to the psychedelic furs.
I tried to tell myself
that we could be alright.
now it's me and my
cigarettes and alcohol tonight.
So screen all the phone calls
and put the chain on the front door.
and if you see her
tell her I don't live here anymore.
Driving neighbors crazv
with after hour fights
everything makes more sense
thank God that we broke it off that night.
Holding on to you
is like playing with broken glass.
I'm fighting off the memories
and all the living in the past.
The post cards in the drawer
The pictures on the wall.
The sound of little footsteps
that echo through the hall.
sound like a heart beat.
It's like a heart beat
It's like a heart break beat
and it's beating out of me.
So screen all the phone calls
and put the chain on the front door.
and if vou see her
tell her I don.t live here anymore.
So pull all the shades down
and turn off the radio.
and if you see her
In Mexico, I went for a walk
To inhale the tranquil, cool, lover's air
But I could taste
A trace of American chemical waste
And the small voice said
"What can we do?"
In Mexico, I went for a walk
To inhale the tranquil, cool, lover's air
But I could sense the hate
From the Lonestar State
And a small voice said
"What can we do?", Oh
It seems if you're rich and you're white
You think you're so right
I just don't see why this should be so
If you're rich and you're white
You think you're so right
I just don't see why this should be so
In Mexico, I lay on the grass
And I cried my heart out
For want of my love, oh
For want of my love, oh
For want of my love, oh
It seems if you're rich and you're white
You think you're so right
I just don't see why this should be so
If you're rich and you're white
You think you're so right
I just don't see why this should be so
In Mexico, I lay on the grass
And I cried my heart out
For want of my love
For want of my love
For want of my love
Its a simple life in Mexico
The sun shines brighter and theres time to go, yes
Anywhere that you want to go
Love in Mexico
I found a way to keep me calm
Through these days when every thing seems to go wrong
Its your smile on my mind
Yes, I'll be fine
Lover thank you for your time
Now everything is clear
Theres no worries, no more fear
And I've loved, but not like this
Theres nothing sweeter than your kiss
Now if I could wish for anything
It would be to have you show me all of the things
That true happiness can only bring
Lover we will fly away
Now we'll fly away to paradise
Its the paradise living in your eyes and mine
And do all of the things that we've never done before
And every day new love
I keep loving you more and more
And now everything is clear
Theres no worries, no more fear
And I've loved, but not like this
Still nothing sweeter than your kiss
And now everything is clear
Theres no worries, babe, theres no more fear
And I've loved, but not, but not like this
Theres nothing sweeter baby, sweeter baby,
A better place than Mexico is hard to be found
Being a long, long way from home eases your mind
It's hard to take courage with no one around
But the deeper you dig the more you'll find without doubt
'Cause how would you feel without best friends
Who'll notice you're there and need a hand
Every day in the morning light
I'm waiting for you to arrive
How would you save me if you would sense I was falling apart
Would you rise to the occasion
How would you know I was living a special all time low
You'd make me believe that you know
'Cause how would you feel without best friends
Who'll notice you're there and need a hand
Every day in the morning light
'Cause everything's easy when you know how to treat me right
A better place than Mexico is hard to be found
Being a long, long way from home eases your mind
It's hard to take courage with no one around
But it's healthy for one's self when you're down
How would you save me if you would sense I was falling apart
Would you rise to the occasion
How would you know I was living a special all time low
You'd make me believe that you know
'Cause how does it feel when you best friends
Notice you're there and need a hand
Every day in the morning light
Everything's easy when you know how to please me
I had a match,
But she had a lighter,
I had a flame,
But she had a fire,
I was bright,
But she was much brighter,
I was high,
But she was the sky,
Oh, Baby, I was bound,
For Mexico,
Oh, Baby, I was bound,
To let you go,
I don't know much about,
Cinco DeMayo,
I'm never sure,
What it's all about,
But I said I want you,
And you don't believe me,
You said you want me,
But I've got my doubts,
Oh, Baby,I was bound,
For Mexico,
Oh, Baby, I was bound,
To let you go,
I had a match,
But she had a lighter,
I had a flame,
But she had a fire,
I was bright,
But she was much brighter,
I was high,
But she was the sky,
Oh, Baby, I was bound,
For Mexico,
Oh, Baby, I was bound,
Well come on let's go
And head off to Mexico
And build our dreams on siestas of the day
I'll take my guitar
Who knows, it might get us far
And we'll call each other by our fake names
We'll restart our lives
Cut the others off with lies
You don't know how lucky we are
But it's you, me and Mexico
You, me and Mexico
You, me and Mexico
And my guitar
We'll open that tequila bar
And spend nights under the stars
And we'll sing songs of salvation
And when our tricks grow old
We might be so bold as to think of things
And broaden our reputation
We'll restart our lives
Cut the others off with lies
You don't know how lucky we are
But it's you, me and Mexico
You, me and Mexico
You, me and Mexico
And my guitar
I'll sing the melody line
Watch you drinking wine
And we'll say how life is pretty funny
We'll busk our way there
'Cause we're the perfect pair
And we'll find there's more life to money
We'll restart our lives
Cut the others off with lies
You don't know how lucky we are
We'll restart our lives
Cut the others off with lies
You don't know how lucky we are
But it's you, me and Mexico
You, me and Mexico
You, me and Mexico
In 1580 we sailed our little ship around the coast
Of Africa down the Gaza strip.
We took some salty bacon and a hammock for a bed.
Then we mixed it with the Spaniards in the middle of the Med.
Well we hired our funds
Saw the pretty girls a comin'.
There wasn't quite as many as there was a while ago
We hired some more and then we started runnin'
AII down the Mississippi to the Gulf of Mexico.
Well Francis Drake said if you really want a fight
The best thing is to catch them in the middle of the night.
We hoisted anchor and powdered up the gun
Then we sailed around in circles and just waited for the fun.
Well cannon balls flew and the ship began to sink
the water started risin' so we really had to think.
And then by chance stood a man as black as coal
So we grabbed him by the trousers and we plugged him in the hole
Well we fired from the side port and we fired from the back
And then we fired from the galley and through every little crack.
We fired so much that the cook started cooking.
Didn't have to worry so we flew the union jack.
i said now c'mon little baby say why don't we go
on down to mexico
hey little darlin' then i'm dyin' to take you
on to jamaica

overcome those devils and then rise up above love
i don't love violence
but i don't love evil
i love something that is real yes

lord they've got some problems
know me don't think so
want sinsemilla....
I remember Mexico
my thoughts are always there
I still feel the loosy sand
and the magic of this land.
Mexico
I remember Mexico
it's warm and burning sun
and the village that I know
is so full of life and joy.
Mexico
Senoritas dressed in green
in yellow and in blue
in their dark eyes I can read
that Mexico love is true.
I remember Mexico
my thoughts are always there
...
Mexico
Senoritas dressed in green
...
See their skins burned in the sun
caressed by the wind
feel their kisses warm and soft
they are really made for love.
r face
was a face I love and I knew
I had to runÎ{
[Verse 1:]
I met a man
In Jamiaca
And he told me that I would be big,
But he knew that evil things were holding me down,
I Gotta to change ya,
That's when he began to tell me things,
Things I've never ever heard before,
In Jamaica,
That I could have anything,
That I've ever wanted,
Just give my love away,
And then I stood quiet.
I stood quiet
I stood quiet
I stood quiet [x2]
He's Setting me on fire
On fire
On fire
On fire [x4]
He's holding me down
Holding me down
Holding me down
Holding me down [x3]
[Chorus:]
I wanna fly,
I wanna go,
Far away,
To Mexico
And You and I,
Could fall in love,
I just, Can't get enough [x2]
In Jamaica, [echo]
[Verse 2:]
I know a man,
In Jamaica,
And he told me that he's known me,
And he's never ever leaving my side,
I've gotta leave ya,
He said here,
Here's a piece of paper
All you have to do is sign your name...
And I will give you fame... [x2]
I left a man,
In Jamaica,
And I began to tell him things
Things he's never Eva heard before
In Jamaica,
That he could have anything
That he ever wanted,
Just take,
My pain away
Then he stood quiet
Stood quiet
Stood quiet
Stood quiet
I'm setting him on fire
On fire
On fire
On fire [x2]
He can't hold me down
Can't hold me down
Can't hold me down
Can't hold me down [x3]
[Chorus:]
I wanna fly,
I wanna go,
Far away,
To Mexico
And You and I,
Could fall in love,
I just, Can't get enough [x2]
In Jamaica, [echo]
All these people seem to want to run away
Always travel all the time, not belonging
I think it's best, you know
I think the story goes
Don't tell me if you're leaving, 'cause I don't wanna know
I'm letting you know
Then we go on living in such a style
Remember when you came home and I was locked inside?
If it's Mexico
I wish you wouldn't go
I don't wanna know if you're leaving or can't decide
Here comes another song about Mexico
I just can't help myself
I lost my old lady
Got my lures
Got my bobbers
Now I'm gonna go
Got off in the wrong direction
Found a hooker and lost my erection
So I had to lie
In the letter to the boys back home
Now the good guys and the bad guys
Never work past noon around here
They sit side to side in cantinas
Talk to senoritas
And drink warm beer
Here comes the same old verse about Mexico
We just can't help ourselves
We lost our old ladies
Got our lures
Got our bobbers
Now we're gonna go
Got off in the wrong direction
Found some hookers and lost my erections
And we had to lie
In the letter to the boys back home
So the good guys and the bad guys
Never work past noon around here
They sit side to side in Cantinas
Talk to senoritas
And drink warm beer
So the good guys and the bad guys
Never work past noon around here
They sit side to side in Cantinas
Talk to senoritas
And drink warm beer
I was just pierced by a scorching sun
dry air reminds me of the one
heat haze arises it wraps me whole body
dryness of earth won't leave my mind
