Jared Rittenhouse Boll (born May 13, 1986) is an American professional ice hockey forward with the Columbus Blue Jackets of the National Hockey League, known primarily for his role as an enforcer.
Boll was born in Charlotte, North Carolina and grew up in Crystal Lake, Illinois. He attended Prairie Ridge High School and left after sophomore year.
Boll was originally drafted by the Kingston Frontenacs, but chose to attempt playing in U.S. college, by playing for the Lincoln Stars. While there he was named captain of the Stars. After a very successful 2nd year in the USHL, he was offered a deal to play in the NCAA at the University of Minnesota Duluth. He decided against it to play in the Ontario Hockey League. His rights were acquired by the Plymouth Whalers in a trade for their 6th Round OHL Priority Selection draft pick in 2006. Boll was named an alternate captain of the Whalers and was a fan favorite, as he was in Lincoln, spending two seasons with the Whalers and helping the team win the 2007 OHL Championship over the Sudbury Wolves on his 21st birthday.
The Anaheim Ducks are an American professional ice hockey team based in Anaheim, California. They are members of the Pacific Division of the Western Conference of the National Hockey League (NHL). Since their inception, the Ducks have played their home games at the Honda Center.
The club was founded in 1993 by The Walt Disney Company as the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim, a name based on the 1992 film The Mighty Ducks. Disney sold the franchise in 2005 to Henry and Susan Samueli, who along with General Manager Brian Burke, changed the name of the team to the Anaheim Ducks before the 2006–07 season. The Ducks have made the playoffs 11 times and won four Pacific Division titles (2006–07, 2012–13, 2013–14, and 2014–15), two Western Conference championships (2002–03 and 2006–07) and one Stanley Cup (2006–07).
Jared, /ˈdʒæɹəd/, is a proper name of Biblical derivation that is a common first name, mostly in North American English-speaking countries.
In the Biblical Book of Genesis, Jared was the sixth link in the ten pre-flood generations between Adam and Noah; he was the son of Mahalaleel and the father of Enoch, and lived 962 years (per Genesis 5:18).
The meaning of the name is "he who descended" (Hebrew root YRD). In the Book of Enoch it is explained that Mahalaleel named Jared because during his lifetime the angels of the Lord descended to earth. The name could also be understood as "he who shall rule" (future tense of the Hebrew root RDH, as found for example in Psalms 72:8).
Wesley Cody McLeod (born June 26, 1984) is a Canadian professional ice hockey winger and an alternate captain of the Colorado Avalanche of the National Hockey League.
McLeod was a fourth round WHL Bantam Draft pick for the Portland Winterhawks in 1999. He enjoyed a break out season in his fourth and final year with the Winterhawks in the 2004–05 season, scoring 31 goals and 60 points.
Undrafted and looking to turn pro, McLeod attended the Boston Bruins training camp in the summer of 2005. McLeod was then reassigned to affiliate, the Providence Bruins training camp on September 17, 2005, before ultimately leaving without a contract. McLeod was signed by the Lowell Lock Monsters of the AHL for the 2005–06. He Spent his first full professional season with the Monsters and their ECHL affiliate, the San Diego Gulls.
The Colorado Avalanche, as the parent club of the Monsters, signed McLeod to his first NHL contract with the Avalanche on July 6, 2006. After the Avalanche training camp for the 2006–07 season, Mcleod was assigned to new affiliate the Albany River Rats on September 19, 2006.

This past week the Anaheim Ducks made four acquisitions. They signed free agents Mason Raymond, Jared Boll, and Jeff Schultz. The Ducks also made a trade acquiring goalie Jonathan Bernier from Toronto for a 2017 conditional draft pick. We discuss each transaction separately and their impact on Anaheim's roster. We look at potential moves the Ducks can still make through free agency and/or via trade. We discuss how the available cap space and expansion draft are playing a role in the decision making process of Bob Murray. Our special guest this week is Max Jones, Anaheim's first round draft pick taken 24th overall this year. He talks about the development camp this past week, the style of game his brings to the ice, and his plans for next season.
